So it turns out I got obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bayverse movies.

Not the first time. But damn, I thought I had escaped. I thought I was free, that I had broken the cycle, that my mind had finally moved on.

But those damn turtles always find a way back.

And you know the obsession is STRONG when it starts small—just a few TikTok edits, one here, one there, like you actually have control. But then you realize it’s already too late, because now you’re lying in bed, staring at the ceiling with your insomniac ass, imagining ridiculously specific scenarios where, somehow, you are the main character of an interdimensional drama with mutant turtles.

And you think that’s it. But oh no. Oh no, sweetheart. Because then comes the next stage: fanfics.

At first, you try finding them on Wattpad, until you realize there’s nothing there worth reading. So you take the leap to Archive of Our Own, and that’s where you find the good stuff. Paradise. Heaven. Until, little by little, you start noticing that even AO3 isn’t enough anymore.

Because now, fanfics aren’t cutting it. Now you’re HUNGRY. A deep, insatiable hunger for stories with details that only you would think of, for scenes that NO ONE has written before because they only exist in the depraved rabbit hole of your obsessed mind.

And then, you reach the final level of insanity. The point of no return.

Writing your own fanfic.

So guess which stage I’m in.

The funny thing is that I already know my happiness in 2025 is going to be entirely based upon whether or not my two favorite characters in my favorite show are going to end up together or not and I spend all my time theorizing why in fact they are going to get together so if they don’t get together I’ll have wasted all of that time and my pinterest board with 779 pins means nothing and my spotify playlist with over 100 songs means nothing and reading the entirety of the byler proof slides means nothing and rewatching all byler scenes 10+ times means nothing and then my life will be meaningless for approximately 3 months until I get over it and continue with my life as normal.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before on here, but consider this an update.

So, I started rewatching NuWho (2005–) to introduce some friends to the show.

Then I began watching Classic Who from the very beginning—with One—alongside one of those friends.

Then the new season started airing, so now I’m keeping up with that, too.

Meaning I’m currently watching three different eras of Doctor Who at once.

Well.

My dad has now approached me and asked if he could share his Doctor Who—the version he grew up with (I think that's mostly the Third and Fourth Doctors).

Which would bring the grand total to four concurrent eras of Doctor Who at once.

That… that feels like a dangerous amount of Doctor Who. Even for me.
