Merry Christmas @idlenight !! 🎄🎁
Ever since I saw it, that wip of yours wouldn't leave my mind, so I made a pixel animation of it as a Secret Santa gift. 🎅
Something about River and water themes, FHR and fish tanks themes and the overall calmness of the scene just wouldn't let me go.
Hope you enjoy! Cheers! 🥂

quick reminder that Lucy has one of these--
Dunsparce lives in Brandon's Battle Pyramid and burrows around like he owns the place, causing significant property damage.
Dunsparce has never lost a battle. Dunsparce has only ever fought one battle. Faced with his majestic aura, Dunsparce's opponent flinched twelve times in a row and fainted. Too hot to handle.
Dunsparce goes REEEEEEEEEE when he's upset. You can calm Dunsparce down by playing music off the latest DJ Mary radio mix. Or by feeding him spicy Pokeblocks.
If he pokes his head above ground, Dunsparce doesn't mind being petted. Please do so.
Dunsparce is Lucy's good luck charm. He takes this job very seriously. Please let him know that he's doing great.

Bianca Adele Dragonfly and Camille García, the owners and founders of Britta’s Tacos
Okay, admittedly I only made this just because it drives me CRAZY how OLD Bianca looks in the original comic with Janna and Ovelia. That’s Bianca how Ovelia remembers her, not how she actually looked when the restaurant was founded. Bianca is.. 23.
The founding of Britta’s was a huge deal for the Dragonflies. While their family is known for making a difference in whatever area they’re in, they were ecstatic over this one particularly.

All right, I have watched a bunch of clips of the Turn version of Simcoe on YouTube, and honestly that might get me to watch the show. Watching Turn!André is like nails on chalkboard for the historical inaccuracies, but Turn!Simcoe is utterly delightful. Turn!Simcoe is like The Mikado - on the one hand, it has absolutely nothing to do with the real thing and is therefore offensive - Did you do no research? Did you not care? On the other, it has absolutely nothing to do with the real thing and is therefore so utterly untethered from reality that it's impossible to be offended by it.
(This may possibly be because while I'm kind of starting to like the real Simcoe, I didn't come into this knowing about him the way I knew about André.)
Also, thank God, they let Samuel Roukin keep his body hair and body fat, unlike JJ Feild. Granted this is presumably because they didn't intend people to be attracted to Simcoe. (I'm not saying I think Samuel Roukin's fat, I'm saying even really buff men are supposed to have some body fat and shirtless JJ Feild looks like they were restricting his water intake so he wouldn't look squishy at all. And it's not even that I'm into that much body hair - though I secretly hope that the real John André was so hairy that when he took off his shirt it looked like he had whole other shirt on underneath because the most commonly reproduced miniature makes him look like he shouldn't be able to grow body hair at all and it would be hilarious - it's that I'm into people who don't look like they might be made of plastic.)
Also I now kind of want to go back to the modern AU where André was in organized crime (the train of thought that started this was I'm secretly convinced that if he lived now there's a non-zero probability he would be in jail for helping his boss embezzle money -> evidently the art world has an issue with money laundering -> ok, he's somehow become a literal mob boss) that I abandoned because first of all Tallmadge was totally out of character and second I don't know if Tallmadge would work for the FBI and give André's BFF normal Simcoe a lunatic cousin who everyone calls "Jack the Ripper" (but not to his face) who André occasionally hooks up with, but warily because no one can tell the difference between him being homicidal and him being seductive and in fact no one is entirely sure there is a difference.

The #Lore between the sibs is that Vwoop has no conflict resolution other than stabbing people, is fed up w/ its living conditions after coming to terms with Seren's failed clones being its kin and they get into a big fight and Vwoop has no idea how to proceed so it leaves for ever. this is why they get angsty breakupcore songs

In the languid haze of a coastal paradise, there existed a realm where the sun cast golden nets over the azure sea. It was here that the enigmatic Solana found her solace, her soul as intertwined with the beach as the tides to the moon. With a wide-brimmed hat adorned with the soft hues of summer blossoms, she was a vision of the season's quintessence.
Solana had a knack for capturing the essence of summer's fleeting kiss. Her bikini, a cascade of mellow yellow adorned with blooms, was tied with a knot that held the secrets of the endless blue skies. Each day, as she wandered along the water's edge, the sun seemed to play a delicate game of hide and seek, casting her shadow upon the sands like an ethereal companion.
She was the keeper of whispered beachside confessions and the silent laughter of the seashells. As Solana gazed into the horizon, her eyes held stories of sunken ships and whispered love letters sealed in bottles. With the grace of the gentle breeze and the strength of the tides, she was as much a part of the beach as the sands themselves.
