I was only meaning to add a simple avatar for his toyhouse thing but ended up making the ship move a bit so im posting it here too hehe
Sharing my toyhouse link also (it's incomplete and constantly updating bc it's a relatively new account but i talk too much about ocs vaguely so it's only fair if I share an actual list and profile of my ocs I think!)
Sailing on a ship in a bottle
Anchor all your thoughts to the bottom
Pulling ropes and pulling your head back
To see what is breaking the foremast
You set sail alone, there is no crew
No one on the deck who can help you
This is all your own battle to win
This is your ship, and you are the captain ...
... 'cause you're popping the cork, you get lost in your brain
And you lose touch with all the things that made you feel sane
- Ship in a Bottle - Fin Argus
this is such a Ford song that it drove me bonkers and forced me to draw this
@shandzii @melodyofthevoid @the-trashiest-pada (sorry for the double ping on here and discord) I painted y'alls girl! Used acrylic paints, a black marker, a white posca pen, and two coloured pencils to touch up the skin. Also edited the photo to get the colours right 'cause my phone camera is shit at capturing colours right
Some random progress photos I took plus the little digital colour thumbnail
An iterator that was made early on, but after the firsts. With the rising concerns of displacement caused by the downpours, SiaB was an experimental iterator, a smaller model built to exist in a large body of water underground. However it was deemed too inefficient, and had the side effect of making the land above them inhabitable. When the cycle came to a close hundreds of geysers would burst from the ground due to the heat they produced.
Creatures traversing above the ground they inhabit or in their can must be warry of hotspots, taking care not to be boiled. As well worm grass has taken ahold, resembling bodies of kelp and adorning their blue/cyan colouration seen in blinded runs. Their neurons swim in schools and their entire being seems to be one with the ocean.
The iterator themself is quite childish. Having no ancients that lived upon them or maintained them, they take part in a great deal of mimicry of those in their local group. They study a lot about the ocean to have something interesting to share. They’re constantly yearning for more and forever hoping their communications arrays never faulter, they take great care of their overseers for this reason, forever afraid of losing contact one more. They’re a very lonely individual, who just wants to know if you’re still there, listening.
Ship In A Bottle continues to be one of my all time favourite stories!
Been slightly obsessed with the Mandalorian posters and wanted to have a go at the style. Really proud of the result! I think I got pretty close! Comparison under the cut!
A mini pencil sketched comic about one of my Fallen London characters, Gracie, during the Nemesis ambition! She's a bit zee monster-y due to Reasons but more importantly, she's Angry! Also The comic is based off of (and contains lyrics from) the song Ship in a Bottle by Fin Argus.
I very rarely make comics but was suddenly struck by artistic muse and I'm very proud of how it turned out!
Finally finished this piece I’ve been working on for @fayoftheforest ‘s wonderful fic Ship In A Bottle, it’s one of my all time favorite works I’ve ever read and got inspired to make a cover page for it comic style
