Forget-me-nots are a symbol of remembrance, true love and devotion. According to a medieval legend, a German knight was strolling along a riverbank with his lady, until she notices beautiful blue flowers which were about to be pulled into the stream. She wanted to save the flowers, and so the knight jumped into the water, and tossed the flowers to the banks. But because he could not fight the strong current of the river, he is swept away from his love, shouting "Forget me not!" in german.
We could also ignore legend for a bit because this was Courtney's flower in Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses and I'm now tempted to create a series of them for the funsies

This is probably my current favorite project I've worked on, since Ive always wanted to include more flowery imagery and other intricate designs. This was my second time using precious metal clay, and during my first attempt I heated it too much until it became this mush of metal I ended up using for a different project. So glad I was able to get it right this time.

This jeweled, enameled, and gilt-silver repoussé cover for a 13th century Armenian gospel is an examples of the work produced in the late seventeenth-century silversmith workshop of Kayseri. Both front and back cover are signed, informing us that they were made in Kayseri in 1691 by Astuatsatur Shahamir. The central image on the front cover depicts the Adoration of the Shepherds, and above, the magi following the star. Amid angels, the banner in the sky proclaims, “Glory to God in the highest and on Earth peace.” The cover was attached to a gospel copied and illuminated by a thirteenth-century scribe named Grigor, from Cilicia.

Each jewelry piece has a story, right from selecting raw moldavite to final stage of jewelry production and in between many twists and turns during the making process. Decision was very hard how to proceed when I select this moldavite from my collection of moldavites. A flash of thought and proceeded by doing carving in floral style and then make it into a wearable pendant made by traditional silversmithing hand tools. No modern casting or dying process is used.
Can be a wonderful gifting idea for near and dear ones or unique gifting idea for Valentine’s Day or anniversary.
The dimensions (size) of the pendant is:
Length: 31.90 mm, Width: 26.00 mm, Height: 6.10 mm
And the dimensions of the carve moldavite in the pendant is:
Length: 19.90 mm, Width: 11.00 mm, Height: 4.90 mm
