#Slide Replacement

Hopefully!!! The last slide replacement.

We have spend more on the slides in the past 8 months, than a lot of people spend on their RVs.

We had 2 big slides. One is the living room and one is the entire passenger side of the motor home. It has the kitchen, refrigerator, washer, dryer, and most heavy,,, Kim's closet.

We have had one complete replaced in Florida. The replacements have run between $3,000 and $4,500 each.

The Florida one worked for about 3 times. Long enough to get out of Florida.

The we were trapped in Missouri for about 7 weeks while they replaced both the fill wall side, and the Drivers Side Slide that had just been replaced.

I was on a list to have the entire system replaced for 11 moths.

We arrived in Marina above Tucson and parked in their lot that night because they wanted to work on the Motor Home starting at 6:30 AM.

They have a huge piece of land, and a brand new building where they do 4 slide preachments a day. (Think about that, 4 a day at $4,500 a slide, and they are now taking appointments for next February. All day do is take Schwintek slides out and replace them with their own system,

This is 3 weeks worth of Schwintek slides they have replaced.

It has cost, but we now feel safe that we will not be trapped somewhere if we put the slide out and it won't come back in. The new system is SO much more robust.

An OG fanmaren I've had who is getting is much needed update, this is TWiLiGHT (I've been meaning to change his name for years but I still haven't found anything that sticks)

TWiLiGHT was created in an attempt to replace NiGHTS, and seemed to be a worthy candidate due to housing massively powerful flame abilities which he could channel with (somewhat) ease. However, due to being rather clumsy, and having a similar affinity for kindness to humans that NiGHTS had, Wizeman was very quick to grow wary of the new first class. He didn't really stand a chance against Wizeman's impossibly high standards, and was ultimately deemed a failed creation. After a particularly nasty situation involving another Nightmaren that led to a large chunk of Nightmare's castle being destroyed, TWiLiGHT was 'scrapped' and his ideya/soul was locked away by Wizeman, where it remained for a very long time.

I adore the design of Mecha NiGHTS (unused mechanic found via datamining of NiD) and so I decided to make my own bootleg version of it 😂 I will try and draw the whole suit at some point

Twi's abilities can be handled fine enough on their own, and most of the time he wouldn't rely on them unless absolutely necessary. But, Wizeman likes flaunting his firepower, and so a specialized suit was designed for him and rigorously tested by TWiLiGHT through more and more brutal means. Eventually he developed a technique that saw him utilize his pyrokinesis and speed in a way that could be as devastating as a meteor strike.

As you can see, he does go through a massive change from when he was first created, to when he was resurrected along with a bunch of other imprisoned souls in order to help usurp Wizeman once and for all.

WELL ha ha prepare for a rant fellas. ok so the guitar ive wanted the most for the longest would be a Danelectro 59X:

ok at first it's cause i wanted to play kashmir and white summer n stuff on it and then i got into pink floyd and was OVERJOYED because syd plays one as well! so you see i have been pining for one for like 2 years and saving up but man they are expensive and hard to get BUT i mean LOOK AT THOSE LIPSTICK PICKUPS, such a jingly bluesy chiming sound, you don't get that from other guitars, but man such RANGE and such a cool looking guitar i mean wow!!! i sound like an advertisement for one i think but it would certainly be a worthy purchase it's just i'm pretty sure americas the only place to get one, so that's why it's a dream guitar lol

musing in the tags about the view two years out from my hysterectomy and the shifting nature of neuropathy. i asked my PT for recommendations/resources pertaining to pain science and that's been a very helpful lenses to have. i'm still not back to normal, will never be unmarked by this experience or return to my pre-op self, but my baseline has been gradually increasing over the last few months, and it feels good to look back on the last two years and say "i have no idea how i managed to function while living with that, but i did!"

what was in the water at Bristow that made fall out boy decide to cut headfirst slide, replace it with 27 (which is right AFTER bang the doldrums), have she's my Winona as the 8 ball, AND have patrick cut the piano medley to instead play nobody puts baby in a corner in full on acoustic while saying it's the first song him and pete wrote like they write now. I think we moved on from the rammys of this far too quickly

After doing a little bit of research (comparing the two different dvd boxes and playing with settings), it seems like the reason the better (extended) version of Muppet Christmas Carol isn't widely available compared to the lesser (theatrical cut) version is because it seems that the song cut is only available in full screen. There doesn't seem to be a wide-screen version of the extended cut available. So that's likely why the easiest to watch version is the theatrical cut, because Wide screen has become the default format.

And that's also likely why I didn't know there WAS a theatrical cut until after we lost and replaced the disk. The DVD we had was so old it only had full screen as an option, and the full screen version is the extended version of the movie.

Anyways, this is all just an educated guess. I didn't google the actual reason I just presume this based on what the boxes say, personal experience, and the fact that on the DVD that allows you to choose, full screen is the extended cut and wide screen is the theatrical cut.
