At Nichrome, we are not just riding the wave of change—our path-breaking packaging automation solutions, backed by IoT, real-time data, and cloud-intelligent connectivity, are leading the charge.
Welcome to Nichrome Data Over Internet—or as we more commonly call it, N-DOIT. It's not a service, it's a packaging philosophy. A philosophy that puts data, analytics, and efficiency front and centre in every packaging machine that we design, install, and maintain.
From food packaging automation to agro automation, we're enabling Indian manufacturers to jumpstart their future. Through N-DOIT, we're enabling them to work smarter, faster, and more in control—all due to the powerful combination of cloud platforms, remote monitoring, and data-driven decision making.
Let us dive into how this change is shaping up.
What Is "Data Over Internet" in Packaging?
Just think how great it would be if your packaging machines talked. Better yet—what if they could listen, analyze, and predict? That is what Data Over Internet (DOI) makes a reality. At its essence, DOI is a real-time collection, transmission, and analysis of machine data across secure cloud platforms.
This isn't just fancy tech talk. It allows packagers to experience genuine real-time machine monitoring, instant insights, and greater visibility of their complete packaging automation system. if I've learned anything from grad school it's to check your sources, and this has proven invaluable in the dozens of instances when I've had an MBA-type try to tell me something about finances or leadership. Case in point:
Tumblr media
Firefox serves me clickbaity articles through Pocket, which is fine because I like Firefox. But sometimes an article makes me curious. I'm pretty anal about my finances, and I wondered if this article was, as I suspected, total horseshit, or could potentially benefit me and help me get my spending under control. So let's check the article in question.
It mostly seems like common sense. "...track expenses and income for at least a month before setting a budget...How much money do I have or earn? How much do I want to save?" Basic shit like that. But then I get to this section:
Tumblr media
This sounds fucking made up to me. And thankfully, they've provided a source to their claim that "research has repeatedly shown" that writing things down changes behavior. First mistake. What research is this?
Tumblr media
Forbes, naturally, my #1 source for absolute dogshit fart-sniffing financial schlock. Forbes is the type of website that guy from high school who constantly posts on linkedin trawls daily for little articles like this that make him feel better about refusing to pay for a decent package for his employees' healthcare (I'm from the United States, a barbaric, conflict-ridden country in the throes of civil unrest, so obsessed with violence that its warlords prioritize weapons over universal medical coverage. I digress). Forbes constantly posts shit like this, and I constantly spend my time at leadership seminars debunking poor consultants who get paid to read these claims credulously. Look at this highlighted text. Does it make sense to you that simply writing your financial goals down would result in a 10x increase in your income? Because if it does, let me make you an offer on this sick ass bridge.
Thankfully, Forbes also makes the mistake of citing their sources. Let's check to see where this hyperlink goes:
Tumblr media
SidSavara. I've never heard of this site, but the About section tells me that Sid is "a technology leader who empowers teams to grow into their best selves. He is a life-long learner enjoys developing software, leading teams in delivering mission critical projects, playing guitar and watching football and basketball."
That doesn't mean anything. What are his LinkedIn credentials? With the caveat that anyone can lie on Linkedin, Mr. Savara appears to be a Software Engineer. Which is fine! I'm glad software engineers exist! But Sid's got nothing in his professional history which suggests he knows shit about finance. So I'm already pretty skeptical of his website, which is increasingly looking like a personal fart-huffing blog.
The article itself repeats the credulous claim made in the Forbes story earlier, but this time, provides no link for the 3% story. Mr. Savara is smarter than his colleages at Forbes, it's much wiser to just make shit up.
HOWEVER. I am not the first person to have followed this rabbit hole. Because at the very top of this article, there is a disclaimer.
Tumblr media
Uh oh!
Sid's been called out before, and in the follow up to this article, he reveals the truth.
Tumblr media
You can guess where this is going.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So to go back to the VERY beginning of this post, both Pocket/Good Housekeeping and Forbes failed to do even the most basic of research, taking the wild claim that writing down your budget may increase your income by 10x on good faith and the word of a(n admittedly honest about his shortcomings) software engineer.
Why did I spend 30 minutes to make a tumblr post about this? Mostly to show off how smart I am, but also to remind folks of just how flimsy any claim on the internet can be. Click those links, follow those sources, and when the sources stop linking, ask why.

Alastor, Angel Dust and Carmilla dating S/O, who's main hobby is pissing Vees (Vox for Alastor, Valentino for Angel Dust, Velvette for Carmilla) off, please? Bonus if Vees try to get their revenge on S/O, only for S/O to outsmart them and instead make them look like fools.
Headcanons Piss off
🕷 Angel Dust x Reader 💖
Angel has always been good at hiding from others that Valentino caused him a lot of pain. But he couldn't hide it from you. You were dating and you saw perfectly well how much he was in pain, you saw the bruises, which only got bigger each time and you didn't like it. That's why you decided that you would ruin his life as much as you could. You called it your hobby. You pissed Valentino off in every way you could. You weren't worried that Valentino might hurt you. You were going to protect Angel, even if you had to put yourself in danger to do it. Including when you came face to face with Valentino
You often ruined advertisements by painting graffiti on them, or by completely destroying billboards and posters. You smashed up his stores, though not always with your own hands. You were smart enough to convince those who were unhappy with Valentino to do what you needed to do. Angel sometimes witnessed how you negotiated everything. It was enough for you to send a few messages, after which, after a few hours, you could tell him that, apparently, his working day was canceled. Indeed, after a while, he received a message that the work was canceled because someone had trashed the studio. Angel often told you not to take risks. If Valentino found out that you were behind all this, he wouldn't leave you alone until he destroyed you, but every time you hugged him and kissed him on the cheek, you told him that you would figure it out and that he didn't have to worry about anything
Valentino was able to find out who was behind his problems and he was going to get back at you. He sent mercenaries to you after finding out where you were supposed to be. Valentino was angry, and he didn't even realize that you were involved with Angel. When Angel was about to go to work, he received a message from you in which you asked him to stay at the hotel today and not go to the studio, for his own safety. He asked you what you did this time. You told him that you sent Valentino a little message. Angel listened to your advice and it saved him from the anger of his boss. Valentino actually received the package. In the box was the head of one of the mercenaries and a small piece of paper on which you wrote to him so that he would not try to outplay the host of the game. You weren't going to stop angering him, and you proved that he would have to take you into account, even if he didn't initially perceive you as a serious problem
Angel didn't want you to risk yourself. He wanted you to stay safe no matter what, but you were going to protect him. Even though you called it your hobby, your main goal was to protect someone you cared about from Valentino. You were willing to take risks if it meant you could help him at least a little. You weren't strong enough to stop Valentino once and for all, but if you could do anything for Angel, then you were going to do it. And if that meant destroying his property and sending him bloody messages, then you were going to keep doing it
📻 Alastor x Reader 🎙
Alastor was not a fan of modern technology. He was feuding with Vox, and it wasn't that big of a secret. Only they themselves knew about the true cause of their conflict. They did not openly clash, preferring to annoy each other in various ways. However, something happened that came as a surprise to him. Alastor didn't expect that you were also annoying Vox. He didn't know why you were doing this, but he was amused that you were really good at ruining his life. He watched how every time the TVs glitched when Vox was angry, it only made Alastor's smile wider. He was happy with what you were doing and wasn't going to get in your way
You often hacked into the TV network and applications that Vox controlled and left various viruses there, or you just broke everything. You were smart enough and died to make it so that he couldn't track you and Alastor, watching you and what you were doing, catching yourself thinking that this was probably the only advantage of modern technology. If you didn't know better, he wouldn't have been able to witness how angry his old rival was. One day, during a quiet evening that you spent together, Alastor asked you why you were so eager to annoy Vox. Your answer came as a surprise to him. You told him that you didn't have any particular reason for it. You didn't hate Vox, he didn't do anything to you. To be honest, you didn't care about him at all. You just thought it was funny to see him get angry, and at some point it became your hobby. After a few seconds of silence, Alastor laughed. He thought your answer was the funniest thing he'd heard all day
Vox was confident that he could find you. He was surprised that you left your mark on his system and he was able to find you. He was going to destroy what you had and show you that you shouldn't have messed with him. But when he got into your computer, he found out that he was mistaken. You tricked him. It wasn't your computer, but a trap you created, into which he fell. You led him to a virus that started messing up his system, which is why Vox couldn't do much. Alastor found out about the incident from you and laughed for a long time at the thought that his opponent was in a difficult position and really believed that you would have made such a stupid mistake, even though you had not left any traces that could lead Vox to you before
You both didn't let Vox live in peace, but in different ways. Alastor liked the fact that you had one more common interest. He liked listening to your stories about what you were doing, how you were interfering with his work and even his peaceful life. Your stories pleased Alastor and he was interested to know if together you could make his rival's life unbearable
🗡 Carmilla Carmine x Reader ⚔️
Carmilla and you weren't just partners. You always accompanied her, not so much for safety reasons as to keep her company. She wasn't against it, and you could see that every time she came across Velvette, there were conflicts between them. You rarely stayed away, leaving harsh comments, turning Velvette's attention to yourself and exchanging passive-aggressive comments with her. Carmilla didn't want you to get into trouble, but you handled it pretty well on your own. You've never felt hatred or anything else strong towards Velvette, but you genuinely enjoyed pissing her off. It's become your hobby, and along with it, your way to take a little revenge for the fact that she upset or angered Carmilla
You were good at hacking into the social networks and applications that Velvette used, and with their help you did what you wanted. You handled it well, leaving no traces of penetration, and as soon as she discovered it, she started to get angry. You smiled when you saw what you were doing, and Carmilla, seeing your pleased expression, understood that you had done something that could well be a source of problems for you, but every time she asked you about it, you said that she shouldn't have worried about it and that everything was under control. full control. She really wanted to believe it. She didn't know exactly what you were doing, considering that she didn't follow social media much and you weren't in a hurry to tell her exactly what you were doing, not wanting her to get mad at you for taking unnecessary risks
Velvette guessed who was to blame for the problems she had, and she intended to take revenge on you. Velvette was confident that she would be able to do it, and at first, it would seem, everything really went like this. But at some point, she saw how she lost all control of her phone. She tried to stop it, but at some point her phone screen went black and she lost any opportunity to do anything. When her phone came back to normal, she saw that she had lost access to all her social networks, and this infuriated her. She couldn't believe that you could do this, and she wasn't going to forgive you for it, even though she couldn't get back at you in any way
Carmilla saw that your mood has been surprisingly good lately. She guessed that your good mood was related to Velvette's bad mood, but she wasn't going to bother you. She knew you were a reasonable person and you wouldn't put yourself at unnecessary risk. In the meantime, you could have fun and still stay safe, which was more than fine with her. She watched with a soft smile as you giggled while looking at the phone screen, and she was glad that you were happy

it's the year 2037 and a new month is ahead of you!! Time to spend 90% of ur paycheck today for all the subscription services that are pretty much necessary now (Your bank takes "payment fee" out of everything bill u pay, so u gotta pay some bucks extra for each) !! Your grocery store has a membership card that u have to pay for, if you want to even get inside. No way to get any movies/tv-shows/music without streaming services. The appliances in ur home are subscription-based usage fee (under the guise of "well, the software updates, u gotta pay and also have no option to opt out"), and most of the things you own, you basically just rent & never have the chance of ever paying enough to actually own them. You missed a payment and ur smart-fridge stopped working. You're trying to find a not-smart, non-AI fridge, but those are super expensive, and only for the rich who claim moral superiority over regular ppl bc "they don't use any of that brain-rotting AI-technology". You're trying to choose whether to use your coffee machine or your microwave for the month bc you can't afford to pay for both of those subscription fees this month. You've already used your monthly picture limit in your phone, and would have to update your subscription package for a more expensive one, if you wanted to take more

Innocent and shy masc reader has an incredibly dirty search history and an even worse taste in porn, has a large collection of order receipts from bad dragon. Cypher goes snooping and finds this all out? They have a little "chat" about network security -🐩
this is like my biggest fear except with my parents accidentally opening one of my packages. its either shampoo or a toy gnmsfgns
cw: suggestive, mentions of Corn, technically kind of cyberstalking? it's cypher what do u expect

It's late when you hear a soft knock at your door. You put your phone down on the bed, wondering who's on the other side of the door, especially at this hour. You hope it isn't a call for a last minute mission- the last thing you want right now is to be in a plane in a matter of minutes, geared up to fight.
When you open the door, you're greeted to the sight of a familiar beige figure, standing just a little too close. Cypher never seemed to mind getting in other people's space as long as he was the one doing it; invade his and he'd scamper off in seconds. His blue mechanical eyes scan over you quickly, though in a way that reminds you of someone checking for weapons rather than looking appreciatively.
"I need to talk to you about something," the man chirps, inviting himself inside your room before you can say anything. He slides by you with a careful hand on your shoulder, the leathery material of his gloves cool against your skin. You flush a little at the contact, fleeting but strangely electrifying. You shut your door behind him, folding your arms over your chest as you turn around to face him. You assume he's going to ask for a favour of some kind, or he wants to steal a piece of machinery from you, again, but you're really not in the mood to humour his requests, tired, and a little cranky because of it. Cypher pauses for a moment, hand half-raised in the air like he's trying to figure out exactly what he wants to say. "You know that I am very technology proficient, yes?"
You nod, frowning at the opening. He's usually pretty straightforward when he's asking for something.
"Come on, everyone knows to delete it afterwards. Are you trying to tease me?" Cypher's voice is smooth, peppy and cheerful but calculated, any hint of hesitancy gone. He's talking to you the same way he chides his opponents in a fight he's already won. The realisation sends a shiver up your spine- he knows something that either you don't know or don't want him to know. But you have an inkling, a gut feeling, that it's something you didn't want him to know. Not yet, anyways.
"What are you talking about?" You try, a little too quick to appear genuinely confused. Cypher's head only tilts minutely.
"You're too smart to be playing dumb. I mean, really?" Cypher scoffs, taking a few steps forwards, forcing you to take one back to maintain a semblance of distance between you two. "Looking up Moroccan models?" Another step forward, and your back brushes against the wall next to the door. "Picturing me as any one of them, hm?" Another step, and there's barely any space between you, and you want to die.
You hadn't intended for him to see any of that- although that meant he was snooping around your private search history, a whole other issue to tackle- but you also hadn't not intended for him to see any of that. It was a blurred line, your attraction to Cypher.
"'dirty talk in arabic'?" He has the decency to stifle a laugh, which only makes your face flush deeper, embarrassment, shame, and something else washing over you. "Mm, not to mention your purchasing history. Dirty, dirty, dirty boy," he clicks his tongue. "I thought you were all sweet, not so perverted."
You finally find your voice, the tips of your ears burning at this point. "I'm not the one snooping around in other people's stuff!" You tout back, a weak deflection.
"I'm not the one imagining their coworker is fucking them."
"Shut up!" You groan, really wishing with all your heart that you could be anywhere but here.
Cypher's beady blue eyes lift with a mirth you can sense through his mask. "Ohhh... but you like it. You're so red," and this time he does chuckle, mean and condescending, and damn if it doesn't send a little jolt of warmth through you, the idea that that little laugh is just for you to hear. "How about this: You show me which videos you like, and I'll give you a... personal lesson in how to delete your search history. How does that sound?"
