I saw this comedy set on TikTok and thought this was perfect for Tim
Tim hasn’t slept in days working on a drug case rambling about stupid bags.
Bruce walking by: what’s going on?
Dick eating popcorn with Dami: this case is about to make Timmy crack.
Tim slamming his coffee mug down: humans don’t know anything about irony!
Bruce: oh. I’m sorry chum anything I can to help?
Tim: February 2020 two men were pulled over by GCPD for speeding on the interstate. Upon inspection of the car officers found a quote “tan bag” with the words quote “bag full of drugs” printed on the outside.
Bruce: right
Tim: now having been trained in the art of law enforcement the officer made an educated assessment that perhaps. This tan bag may not be trying to be ironic and instead actually had drugs in it.
Dick: I can see the logic.
Tim: upon inspection of the bag the officer found that his theory was correct because inside the bag was 70 grams of meth, 1.36 kilograms of GHB, a gram of cocaine, 15 MDMA tablets, 3.6 grams of fentanyl. Thereby rendering the outside of the bag n understatement because that bag was full of EVERY drug!
Dami: wow.. talk about the understatement of the year.
Tim: when asked if it was common to come across a bag labeled “bag full of drugs” he was quoted as saying “yeah I’d say that’s rare.”
Dick: so clearly not a public speaker..
Tim: Tuesday July 20th 2024. GCPD pullover a woman just inside of Gotham. And upon inspection of her vehicle found a quote “tan bag” with the words quote “bag of drugs” printed on the outside in her purse. Upon removal of said “bag of drugs” the officer found that it was as advertised unironically containing 3.25 grams of cocaine, 1.75 grams of crack, 1 gram of meth, 1.5 pills of hydromorphone, 2 amphetamines, and 4.5 alprazolams! Again the lettering on the bag a distortion regardless of how technically accurate it is because this bag HAD ALL THE FUCKING DRUGS IN IT!
Bruce: language chum.
Tim: Tuesday October 8th 2024! Blüdhaven police located a stolen car. Inside the found a fully loaded firearm, cash, and a quote “tan bag” labeled quote “definitely not a bag full of drugs” law enforcement no doubt taking pointers from GCPD checked the contents of the bag quote “definitely not a bag full of drugs” and found that it was in fact full of drugs! 79 tabs of fentanyl! 230 grams of meth and 3 fake pills of oxycodone! Which if it was just that would have rendered the front an accurate description and thus a level of situational irony that would have been achieved that would have made Oscar Wilde blast his pants!
Jason being summoned at the mention of Oscar Wilde: what would make Oscar Wilde blast his pants?
Dick: shh he’s not done.
Tim: back in Gotham. January 19th 2025!
Dami: oh. Recent.
Tim: a woman was arrested at a traffic stop. The K-9 unit took an interest in a bunch of bags in the back of the car. When asked if they could search the car the woman said “yeah. There shouldn’t be anything illegal in there.”
Jason: oh. Not smart..
Tim: when the GCPD searched the car they found a quote “tan tote bag” with the words quote “definitely not a bag full of drugs” printed on the front. And upon inspection of the bag, despite her earlier assurance and the bags, law enforcement discovered that there was in fact FUCKING DRUGS IN THE BAG!
Bruce: language!
Tim: meth and Narcan if you’re keeping score! Enough to get the women re-arrested for felony possession with an intent to manufacture and deliver! And I say re-arrested because she had been arrested for the same charges 10! DAYS! EARLIER!
Dami: oh.
Tim pinching the bridge of his nose: which means a woman charged with having drugs was out on bond got caught with drugs again. In a bag that was labeled “definitely not a bag of drugs” which by the way is available online for purchase at lookhuman.com for $18.99 which is a deal considering how much money it’s gonna cost if ya get arrested with a bag full of drugs!
Jason: oh it’s a lot.
Tim: now! Humans. Here’s the news. Irony is not dead it’s everywhere the problem is it seems that no one knows exactly what it is. Is it ironic to have a bag full of drugs labeled “full of drugs”? Is it ironic to have a bag with “definitely not full of drugs” printed on the front and then fill it comically chuffed with a Costco amount of fucking drugs?
Bruce giving up: language
Tim with eyes twitching: humans I ask you! Is it ironic do you think to have 3 of those stories start with in Gotham and end with “bag full of drugs”?! Because you saw it coming from the beginning?! Or is it the Blüdhaven story that’s ironic because you heard a bag in Blüdhaven labeled “definitely not full of drugs” and figured it wouldn’t be?! It’d be some bottled microbrews and high end cheeses and to find out that bag you thought was full of Blüdhaven artisanal turned out to be fucking jackpot crack and fools-oxy?!
Bruce: okay. I think it’s time for bed.
Tim literally losing his mind: is it ironic that I’m coming in hot when I said I wouldn’t because every day has been a fire hose of historical events coming out of all ends of the media and I didn’t want to give you a panic attack and now I’m having a panic attack because I’m so goddamned on edge all the time because January 2025 came in tweaking in a flaming geo metro wearing a bag labeled “definitely not full of drugs” printed on the front!
Everyone trying to get Tim to calm down while he continues ranting loudly.
Dick: we should really watch him closer..
Tim: and is that news?! Is that irony?! And what should I be panicking about?!
Dami: agreed. Drake needs more sleep.
Bruce pinching the bridge of his nose: who keeps giving him coffee?
More loud ranting can be heard in the background.
#Batfam#batfam incorrect quotes#tim drake#bruce wayne#dick grayson#jason todd#damian wayne#Tim needs a nap#Bruce Wayne needs a nap#he would absolutely have this kind of reaction

How the Right Supplier Can Improve Your Panel Assembly Workflow
In the competitive world of electrical panel manufacturing, time, consistency, and precision are everything. A well-organized panel assembly workflow can be the difference between hitting deadlines and losing contracts. But one often-overlooked factor in achieving operational efficiency is this:
The right supplier isn’t just a vendor — they’re a strategic partner. In this blog, we’ll break down how the right supplier can directly enhance your panel assembly workflow, reduce friction in operations, and elevate your entire production process.
1. Ensuring Reliable Component Availability
Panel assembly often stalls because of component shortages. When you’re missing critical parts — like circuit breakers, contactors, or terminal blocks — your line goes idle.
A dependable supplier:
· Maintains ready stock of high-demand components
· Offers real-time inventory updates
· Provides just-in-time (JIT) delivery
This ensures your team always has what it needs, minimizing production downtime and keeping your project timelines on track.
Impact: Faster production starts, fewer delays, better throughput.
2. Simplifying the Procurement Process
Juggling multiple vendors for various panel parts creates complexity — multiple orders, invoices, and deliveries. It eats up time your team could spend on value-added tasks.
A smart supplier partner:
· Consolidates a wide range of panel components
· Offers bundled BOM support
· Provides a single point of contact for all orders
This streamlined approach reduces your procurement overhead, lowers admin costs, and frees up your internal resources.
Impact: Faster ordering, reduced paperwork, smoother coordination.
3. Improving Product Selection and Compatibility
Choosing the wrong component — even slightly incompatible — can lead to rework, panel redesign, or even failures in the field. That’s a major risk to quality and your brand.
A technically capable supplier:
· Understands your electrical panel design and specs
· Guides you on compatible, compliant components
· Helps you select cost-effective alternatives when needed
With expert support, your team avoids costly errors and gets it right the first time.
Impact: Better accuracy, fewer mistakes, higher quality output.
4. Reducing Lead Times Through Local Sourcing
Global supply chains can be unreliable — delays at ports, shipping bottlenecks, and customs hold-ups all hurt your workflow.
A locally positioned supplier:
· Sources and stocks components closer to your facility
· Offers same-day or next-day delivery
· Bypasses import-related delays
This leads to shorter lead times, more predictable schedules, and the ability to react quickly to urgent needs.
Impact: Agile production schedules, improved customer responsiveness.
5. Supporting Scalable Growth
As your panel-building business grows, your workflow complexity increases. You’ll need a supplier that can scale with you.
A growth-ready supplier:
· Keeps track of your recurring BOM patterns
· Prepares for larger, scheduled orders
· Offers credit terms or inventory reserves for long-term customers
Instead of being reactive, you can plan your production proactively — without worrying about supply issues.
Impact: Smooth scaling, reduced bottlenecks, confident expansion.
6. Providing Value-Added Services
Beyond just selling products, great suppliers offer services that make your workflow leaner:
· Pre-kitting: All components bundled per job
· Labeling and part tagging
· Custom panel parts or DIN rail assemblies
· Training on new product integration
These extras can shave hours off assembly time and improve jobsite or factory efficiency.
Impact: Leaner processes, faster panel builds, lower labor costs.
Conclusion: Suppliers Are Part of Your Workflow Strategy
Your workflow is only as strong as its weakest link — and for many panel builders, that weak link is a slow or unreliable supplier.
At Daleel Trading, we go beyond supplying components. We
Stock what you need
Deliver when you need it
Support you with technical know-how
And grow with your business
The right supplier doesn’t just deliver products — they deliver productivity.
Ready to streamline your panel assembly workflow?
Contact Daleel Trading today to discover how we can simplify your sourcing, boost your efficiency, and help you build better panels — faster.

Related to my monopoly+pricing post, Astral Codex Ten recently wrote about off-label Ozempic from compounding pharmacies that shows this little logic flaw in action:
How much does is cost? HenryMeds is $297/month, Eden is $296, Mochi is $254 - compared to the $1,300/month you’d pay for the official product. This isn’t covered by insurance, so it’s still not affordable for lots of people. But it’s more affordable than the $1,300/month version. Also, there’s not a shortage of it. Why doesn’t it cost even less? This is still a mystery to me. The compounding pharmacies are circumventing the patent, so they don’t need to pay back investment. And there’s a lot of competition between various compounders and telemedicine startups - even 23andMe is getting in on the deal now! And some Harvard doctors recently published a paper saying that the unit cost to the manufacturer is only about $5/month. Maybe the bottleneck is FDA-approved factories, or high-capacity compounding pharmacies. Or maybe Harvard doctors with no skin in the game are assuming too many things away, and $250 is the best we’ll get for now.
He is puzzled about why the price isn't cheaper, why aren't they racing to the bottom? And I am no expert in this industry, maybe there are barriers and that $250 really is the floor, I am just using this as a logic example. But really, consider instead that pharmacists - running their own business - are smart and trying to maximize their own revenue. If they can sell their supply at $250, and enough customers are willing to pay, why wouldn't they do that? Why would one of them "try to undercut" and, what, maybe steal some orders until the others notice and then match and now they all make less? Why instead wouldn't they all feel around for the "market maximizing price" for them collectively? I would bet their supply is not infinite, and while they could lower the price to sell more they can't sell *so* much more of it that it would make up for the loss. And they can all figure that our independently and experimentally raise and lower prices, watching each other, till they are at equilibrium.
And again this isn't some like radical economics take, in actual economics practice we have dozens of models for firm behavior for different contexts. The 101 model is a tool in the toolbox, but raw is just quite rare in the world.

“Life with Derek” is Back Again!

Life with Luca is a hour and a half spin-off movie based on the 2000’s Canadian Sitcom Life with Derek, set eighteen years after its predecessor. The story follows two step-siblings, Casey McDonald (Ashley Leggat), now a court lawyer and mother of three. And Derek Venturi (Michael Seater), now a successful musician in Paris and a single dad. As history repeats itself, they both have rebellious fourteen year old teenagers, pushing their buttons. So in order to get a break, they both have the idea of dropping them off with their grandparents for their anniversary, and to their surprise, they end up meeting each other instead. With help, they figure out how to co-parent their kids together for a weekend, and hijinks naturally ensue.
The original show Life with Derek was all about a blended family. In which two teenage step-siblings, Casey and Derek (the eldest children in the household and equally self absorbed), clash; fighting each other to take control of the house, their younger siblings, their school and their world.
The episodes consisted of simple, domestic family antics, containing smart jokes that would make adults and children alike laugh. The storylines were mature enough for teenagers to be interested but not so mature that it would put children off from watching.
Life with Derek was a show that prided itself in being character driven and more realistic than some of the family shows that was airing around that time, especially on networks such as Disney Channel.
However, it became well known and successful to this day for the slow burning subtextual “love affair” between the two step-siblings, Casey and Derek which undoubtedly acted as the backbone of the series. And the reason why it got picked up for a reboot fifteen years after the final episode aired.
When I first read the premise of Life with Luca (when the announcement came out that they were going to make a Life with Derek reboot in 2020), I was immediately judgemental as often reboots can erase character growth. It just seemed like another manufactured money making remake (a copy for the next generation) rather than an actual continuation of the original show.
And while the movie does have alot of tropes repeated from the original i.e. Casey and Derek’s kids Skyler and Luca clash from the beginning, two families not really knowing each other previously merging for the first time etc. The writers had the ability to make these tropes most importantly character driven and natural so the audience didn’t notice the similarities so much. And when they did, it’s treated as a familiar nod rather than a direct copy.
Luca and Skyler
Part of the fun of the original was the ongoing romantic tension between Casey and Derek, and I was worried we were going to have a repeat of that with their kids, Luca and Skyler but thankfully the casting and writing department was alot more thorough. And while they do clash at the beginning, its presented more of a culture clash because of how they were raised, and it evolved into a familial relationship quite quickly. I loved watching their bonding moments.
They managed to keep the core message from the original ‘of family and building a family even when you hate your situation at the beginning’. I felt they did a good job of mirroring that message with Luca and Skyler.
Out of the two, I felt like Skyler was the more fleshed out. The casting for her was amazing, she looks just like Derek’s daughter. I loved how, even though she was clearly meant to be the ‘Casey character’ — organised and dramatic — she still had her own vibe. She had the carefree attitude and style from Derek’s parenting, but still was able to be responsible as she essentially raised herself.
Luca, (the ‘Derek’ character) the more rebellious counterpart, is suggested to be acting out due to his chaotic home life, rather than that’s just “how he is” unlike Derek who was labelled as the bad guy from the start. He’s still very much Casey’s son as he doesn’t have some of the toxic masculinity that Derek possessed in the original show. And he has a few neurotic tendencies from her style of parenting as well. But I almost feel we didn’t get enough of him.
If and when Life with Luca does get picked up as a TV Series later on, it would be nice to flesh out his character alot more (and hers), because there was clearly alot of conflict that the two of them both had, his dad working overseas and her mum having a bran new family, that can’t really be fleshed out thoroughly in a hour and a half film.
George and Nora
George and Nora’s plot was by far the most ridiculous (hint, jewel thief car chase), but I loved seeing them on screen again. It was nice to see how their relationship was still going strong after all this time. Along with their cameo, there were some other great ones such as Sam and Mr Lassiter. It was a shame we didn’t get to see the rest of the blended family such as Edwin and Lizzie and Marti, even for a second at the anniversary party at the end. But I understand the screenwriters wanted to save that for a TV Series later on, so they could be fully explored more.
Simon
Simon, the youngest of the McDonald-Venturi’s (that was a storyline for the last two episodes of the original) was by far my favourite addition to the film. This was surprising, since that storyline in Life with Derek wasn’t exactly my favourite around the time of watching because I don’t necessarily agree that the step-family gaining a shared child made them “a proper family”. Thankfully, Life with Luca proved me wrong as he was so lovable. I loved how he was a perfect mix of both of the McDonalds and the Venturi’s, but mostly the Venturi’s as he was so clumsy.
Casey and Derek
As always, the strongest parts of the movie, were when they were focusing on Casey and Derek, individually and together. I loved how they went with careers that naturally meshed with their personalities. Casey being a married lawyer in Toronto and Derek being a travelling musician in Paris with his daughter as a best friend. Watching Derek be a parent was amazing, especially since he was shown to be really good with kids in the original.
When the two finally meet up again, the audience can see that their friendship has definitely progressed; they have finally learnt to respect one another even though they haven’t spoken one on one for a long time. But they still maintained their comedic banter. It was refreshing to see that character growth. It was nice that it hadn’t backtracked in typical reboot fashion for the sake of drama/entertainment since that relationship was the core of why the original worked.
Now in the original show, Life with Derek, it was never confirmed that Casey and Derek had romantic feelings for each other, but there was alot of speculation by the fans, because of all the subtext going on throughout the series.
The actors, Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat, put a rest to some of the speculation in 2016 and confirmed in a article by MTV that because ‘the fans were so into Casey and Derek being a couple, [they] would find subtext in their lines to give the fans what they desire’
Life with Derek was primarily about the first four years that they [Casey and Derek] lived together. Their relationship mostly consisted of an antagonistic push and pull/tug of war even though at the end of the day, they were always there for each other when it really counted. Even though Casey and Derek claimed to dislike each other, it was very clear that the two had developed a deep bond over the course of the series.
However, Casey and Derek’s relationship in Life with Luca is interesting in a way that they’re no longer in a “sibling dynamic” in which they were previously forced into. Mostly because they’re no longer teenagers and the fact that they’ve barely interacted or lived together in eighteen years since life both took them in very different directions. Which creates a paradox in itself.
It’s this incredibly grey area throughout the movie where they’re adjusting to each other again, slipping into their old bickering, confiding in each other about parenthood, all while transitioning into a mum and dad dynamic while they’re co-parenting the children they had with other people.
Before the movie came out, I was positive, because of the criticisms and hype surrounding the show and the pairing, that the writers were going to diminish the potential of a romance between the characters in fear of backlash. For example, have Casey in a happy marriage, Derek dating around and eventually gain a love interest at the end of the film. Also, trying to make their relationship as “Sibling- Esque” as possible.
Even though I knew from the premise of the reboot, that they were going to move in together, and there would be a few romantic undertones scattered in for the fans, I’d thought they’d play it off more as an “aunt and uncle babysitting the kids”.
But the opposite ended up happening. Casey has an absent husband who continuously leaves her and her kids alone while he plays hockey over seas — breaking his promises that he was going to retire before their kids were teenagers. Derek supposedly hasn’t dated anyone in fourteen years nor mentions flirting with other women. He even has a distant relationship with his daughters mum.
The moment Derek comes, he almost takes ‘the role of her husband’ as he sees Casey isn’t doing so well. He does the cooking for their kids — Casey even mentions that her husband does all the cooking while Derek is preparing dinner — babysits her little ones, attempts to calm Casey down when she’s getting too stressed, helps arrange an anniversary party for their parents so she’s able to get on with her work. And even though, they are referred as “Aunt” and “Uncle” in the movie, it’s also made apparent that they’re essentially “Mum and Dad” to their children as well.
One of Casey’s little ones, Molly even makes a “catch it or you’ll miss it” comment to Derek’s kid in one scene “I wish we were cousins AND sisters.”
Their last scene together at the end of the movie, Casey comes up to Derek saying ‘You’re gonna come home again soon, before the kids go to university?’ in which Derek heavily implies that he wants to move into her guest house to potentially raise their kids together, making a direct parallel to her husband not retiring from hockey and coming home from Europe, even after their kids grew up.
That moment is possibly why I came out from watching the movie thinking ‘If Casey and Derek don’t get together after this; then it’s bad writing’ because their scenes in the reboot didn’t feel like random “fanservice moments” like in the original; it felt like a genuine setup for a romance. Even if it can’t be written explicitly, due to the network, it is the most logical ending for their characters and the movie just made that ending seem even more inevitable.
Despite my enjoyment of Life with Luca, and overall it being a Great Comeback of a 2000’s Classic — it’s not a movie that can really work on its own. Finishing it left me feeling unsatisfied and wanting more. It felt very much like an introduction than a complete product. Its very apparent they made this movie so it could be picked up as a TV series later on, since there is alot of plot threads that are unexplored, unfinished or left open.
Life with Luca is not a reunion movie. It’s only page one.

I would be the smart arse (I know how I spelt it I have principles) that graffiti’s either “Vandalism” or “Vandalism is bad” that or simply “Curse-word” 😂 also the bad blood ship having a skull and crossbones is hilarious like they straight up put that in a black outlines rectangle except the skull and crossbones are red instead of standard white 🏴☠️.
Dude what if there was an either already loose or human manufactured *cough* tampered with *cough* loose panel that opened up a human size hidey hole near the a hot air vent or the engine room something to which the human could simply hide in and not be seen because they’d blend in with the heat against infrared and the label was “prank fallout, yautja survival bunker” there’s snacks too like popcorn and old soda pop bottles but the like old old glass ones.
Relating to this post
Humans never change. There's ancient graffiti from a Viking that visited Turkey that says "Halvdan was here"

There's ancient Egyptian smut graffiti. Or that one guy in Pompeii that wrote on the wall of a brothel that he's gay. My school had a rope climb thing to the ceiling and someone wrote "gullible" up there. HUMANS NEVER CHANGE. We all want to leave our silly little mark on this world!
Also, a little bit of pirate history, red in a jolly Rodger means that they kill. Essentially "take no prisoners". Yes. I'm a nerd and I love this little fun fact.
I love the hidey hole idea! "Prank fallout" had me dying! Probably got sticks of gum so old you can use them as bullets. There's probably also little arrows drawn on the floor as a map so the human didn't get lost. Like "Kitchen ->" or "My room ->"

Mental Health Update
ARGH! So, In previous posts I disclosed that, since April 2024 my BiPolar symptoms had become difficult to manage. Sleep was getting more and more difficult, medications weren't helping, and their side-effects once even caused me to become hospitalized. I have been a High Functioning individual with BiPolar Type 2 my entire life. For large portions of my life, I have not required treatment... but this all changed in April when I started to have regular lengthy extreme Manic episodes. One such episode caused me to lose my job, and I have been unemployed since.
Then yesterday I was talking to a friend about it while sipping on some "Bai" Coconut water. His ex-GF overheard our conversation, and said "You know, Bai Coconut water has caffeine in it." I turned the bottle around, looked at the label... after several ingredients it lists "Green Coffee Bean", then I googled it. Bai contains 33mg of Caffeine.
I'm kinda furious about this. I started drinking this stuff as a replacement for sugary drinks when I went on a keto diet... starting in April. And now it all makes sense, Because I have a very high sensitivity to caffeine, so I normally avoid it. It gives me headaches, fatigue, brainfog, and it prevents me from sleeping at night. These were all symptoms I was experiencing, in addition to, what I thought was BiPolar Mania. What's even worse, is that almost every medication I've been given since May, in order to treat my BiPolar, has had a warning on the label that advises against consuming Alcohol or Caffeine while taking them.
I'm so mad at the company that manufactures this drink. I wish I could sue them. This drink is marketed as a healthy alternative to other electrolyte drinks. But you know what? Gatorade, Powerade, Smart Water, Pedialite... these drinks don't have caffeine. Why did Bai feel the need to include coffee beans/caffeine in their product?
This shit has severely traumatized me to the point of routine Suicidal Thoughts. It made me worry that I was losing my mind, and that my symptoms would only continue to get worse. I thought I was going to die when I ended up in the hospital over heart problems that one of the medications side-effects caused me.
What a fucked up situation. I'm glad I found the source of the problem (at least I hope my BiPolar goes back to being manageable now that I've cut the Coconut Water out of my diet).

𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄 & 𝐍𝐏𝐂 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
THE MURAKAMI TWINS / KOJI AND KENJI
family. the murakami family has a lot of wealth. they own a record label "KAMI records" and manufacture, distribute, and promote the recordings of affiliated musicians. that's not all though, they run a media conglomerate, a well-known family business which was founded years ago, it basically means they own numerous companies involved in mass media enterprises, such as music, television, radio, publishing, motion pictures, theme parks, or the internet (think disney, netflix or sony). they're more focused on music though and active in its industry, meaning: they create, perform, record, promote, and manage anything concerning music. the current ceo of the murakami corporation is murakami genkei, his wife sakura manages KAMI records. also, they own the record shop where rei works at & work closely with instrument manufacturers and other related companies.
twins. koji (left) and kenji (right) were born on the same day, just a few minutes apart. technically, this makes kenji the oldest of the two. not only was he the first to be born but he was also the best in anything, he was a true golden child. koji on the other hand always found himself standing in his brother's shadow. be more like kenji, they said. why can't you be smart like your twin? they said. it was only a matter of time until koji began to hate his twin brother. no matter how much he tried to catch up to the other, kenji was just better than him, faster than him, smarter than him. their parents treated the two equally ... to some degree. nobody said it out loud but koji knew that kenji was everyone's favorite. he made friends quickly, didn't have to study as much, and in general luck seemed to be on his side. maybe he truly was blessed since birth. koji on the other hand? he was more or less the black sheep, the trouble maker. if he couldn't be amazing like his twin, then he'd draw another kind of attention his way, the negative kind. while the world around him made it seem like he was less worth than kenji, his twin brother never judged him, he never thought less of him. this only annoyed koji more. kenji followed a path of greatness and fortune, while koji ended up in juvie after committing arson. despite being twins, the two were clearly different. kenji couldn't do anything to support his brother, since he kept pushing him away and shut him out, thus he could only watch. genkei and sakura were very disappointed in koji's behavior, and even after juvie he didn't change. instead, he formed a metal band where he played the bass, started smoking, got piercings, watched underground street racings and even hung out with the racers. out there he felt free, like he belonged somewhere.
black sheep. koji kept his true identity a secret for a very long time because he thought that nobody would want to be friends with him if they knew he was a rich kid, or if they found out he'd be surrounded by fake people, he didn't want either to happen. after graduating high school, koji started working at the family's record shop where his parents offered him the position as manager (that's when he meets rei). a second chance to prove he was capable and responsible despite his past mistakes. surprisingly, koji was doing amazing. not only was he employed but he also performed concerts with his band at small venues, things really couldn't be any better. that is, until his band members, his friends, found out about his identity. not only was he the son of one of the wealthiest families, he also lied to their faces. they felt betrayed and they began to question whether they ever knew the real koji to begin with. koji couldn't justify himself even if he tried. before he knew it, they kicked him out of his own band. this truly destroyed him. he couldn't control his anger and frustration and ended up causing a ruckus inside the record shop. (note: depending on the verse, rei already left the country and was not around to help her friend. even if she was there, the end result remains the same.) koji threw records around and kicked over shelves, he caused damage to the shop which showed his parents that, even though he was over twenty, he was not mature at all and couldn't be trusted. he lost his job and soon after his family more or less disowned him. in their eyes he was a hopeless case, ruining the family reputation. with nowhere else to go, koji ended up joining the street race scene, which was both illegal and dangerous. but at this point, who cares? well, his twin kenji did. the only person who still checks up on him whether he likes it or not.
#// i ended up writing too much about the twins so i had to put it under a read more#// but YEET#// here he is#// bad boy™#° ✮︎ • ᴋᴏᴊɪ ⸺ headcanon. ♰ ° ┆ main

Future Anime Girl Gestalt
As a breakthrough in silicon nanostructure materials makes photonics and near-eye displays cheap, smart glasses become the new ubiquitous computers, replacing smartphones. The always-on display provides unique opportunities for advertisers, as does new machine learning-assisted ad targeting. In the new omnipresent augmented reality, ads become personalized, three-dimensional, interactive displays, emerging from blank rectangles in subway stations. You see your facebook friends conversing animatedly, drinking budweiser.
As smart glasses become increasingly necessary for modern life, brands are able to invade further into perceived reality. Cars shine luxuriously. The name and price of your coworker's smartwatch floats above it. Of course many modern advertisements no longer directly sell a product or service, but rather create and maintain brand identities. Large corporations advertise on everyday objects--the plate at your favorite restaurant reveals the name of a software company as you finish your food. Your brother's anger turns him super saiyan, reminding you of the new episodes. A poor neighborhood turns into an alien-inspired techno-organic nightmare.
Many companies use characters to perpetuate their brand. These characters can be personalized--the insurance company mascot that shows up on your car dashboard during a harrowing rush hour is your favorite color, features large, expressive eyes, and is covered in shaggy fur.
Of course, machine learning algorithms can be unpredictable. And ad agencies could not anticipate the omnivalent memetic power of...
...anime girls.
The algorithm customizes your pepsi soda into a fizzy anime slime girl. They customize the call to your healthcare provider to raise the pitch of the representative's voice and translate the audio to Japanese (your glasses display English subtitles). The missiles you see striking a city in Iran are ridden by pale, northrop grumman-labeled anime maids.
As more human agency is ceded to enormous, power-chugging processing centers, the connections between everyday occurrences and brand presence become more abstract. Every character on a show you're not paying attention to, every old shoe you own, every person you interact with, every grain of sand on the beach, every floater in your eye, is an anime girl.
As humans do, they adapt. Generation Glass becomes accustomed to experiencing two entirely foreign sets of sense-data: one, their local, mundane world, of humming processors and concrete and scraggly trees. The other, the networked world, where your entire visual field is painted in overlapping anime girls of various sizes and your auditory vestibular nerve is drowned in high-pitched giggling. Each girl represents some object--pomegranate, sunset, friends, love, death.
As global civilization gently deflates under the pressure of climate change post-2100, so does the capacity to manufacture complex electronics. Within the space of a generation, billions of people are reduced to creating facile, vapid illustrations of the moving, living anime girls they once knew as bigotry and tarmac. Pictures of anime girls are used to label street signs, mathematical concepts, genders, religious texts. Ironically, anime girls become more incorporated into the real world than they ever were in the Glass period, because they adorn real surfaces. A post-traumatic behavior develops, in which a person destroys objects bearing anime girl images in an attempt to, according to one individual, "let them out," or otherwise restore networked consensus reality.
Thousands of years pass. Peregrine sophists of the Fifth Yyrzoc clan uncover an underground concrete structure. In it are glyphs of a single, big-eyed, pale, skinny, large-breasted woman with bright blue hair, surrounded by female figures in blood-red uniforms who are collapsed on the ground. The sophists are able to decode this message and avoid what we would recognize as a nuclear waste storage facility. They theorize that the figures are ancient feminine gods of radiation and death. Several etchings and illustrations are published by a notable scriptorium. Years later they are largely forgotten.
