A brave pup takes on a snowy evening stroll, leaving tiny paw prints as it ventures down a tranquil, lamp-lit path. The world is a snowy wonderland tonight, silent and soft under a veil of falling snow.

Snowy is finally old enough to be an apprentice! Although he must train without a mentor, he knows that he will absolutely try his very best! The four cats had a blast yowling Snowypaw's name into the sky!

On Snowy's first patrol, he caught the scent of a critter. He tried his best to remember what the OceanClan cats used to do, and ended up catching the mouse! Snowypaw is very proud of himself.

The two are both apprentices now!! Yippie!

Many of our young apprentices go missing, as well as a young an a senior warrior. PikaClan is not quite sure what happened, assuming Robinmist and Sunshatter went after the apprentices but did not come back. After many days of searching, they are presummed dead

☝️small oneshot i wrote becauseee I am too busy working on my Ben Folds OCs to draw moon 3 part 2. Woops

The warm spring wind flew down into the low grounds of the newly made camp. The sun was setting as the cats bustled about. SkyFlow and CloverBadger were deciding which den should be which while QuickStep and ShatterClash reinforced the branch walls. SnowyPaw and RobinKit were playfully sparring as EggPaw watched with interest from the side.

Moon 0.

BumbleStar looked over the camp from the high rock he was lying on. He looked up to see the tall trees flowing in the wind and the birds dancing in the air. The soft, faint vibrations of paw steps reached his fur, and he turned to see RedTooth looking at him.

"Have you received your lives?" He asked, hesitantly sitting next to the tabby.

"Yes," BumbleStar replied in his regular monotone voice. The blowing leaves on the trees and the voices of cats below filled the air.

"Did you see her?" RedTooth started. "In StarClan?"

"StormPaw? Yes," BumbleStar sat up. "She gave me my lives,"

"All of them?" BumbleStar nodded.

"She was the only true one there. It wasn't fully barren, but every other spirit were distorted, only StormPaw was clear. It's puzzling me." He took a moment to breathe. "Has CloverBadger received any visions, or talked to you anything?"

"Not that I know of, no."

BumbleStar sighed deeply and layed back down on the bumpy rock. His ears and whiskers twitched as he thought deeply.

"I know I was only a kit, but I still remember when she died," RedTooth stated and BumbleStar's ears pinned back at the memory. "I wonder why she was the only one to give you your 9 lives."

"I wonder too," He looked down at the camp to see SkyFlow and CloverBadger laughing happily, and QuickStep and ShatterClash were now laying together and sharing tongues with TornPaw. "I have an idea for my deputy," RedTooth's head turned at the mention of the second in command. "I need to announce it soon,"

"Whoever it is, may StarClan approve your choice."

"You're a wise cat, RedTooth," BumbleStar stood up. "I know you're the most responsible to take this role."

"..Are you appointing me deputy?" RedTooth asked slowly and skeptically. BumbleStar nodded.

"We have many differences, but the moments when we work together are moments to strive for." BumbleStar paused and looked at the cat. His eyes shown not with malicious intent, but genuine hope. "I know you don't think the best of me, but I hope you will use this chance to make this new clan proud."

BumbeStar turned to get the attention of the other cats as RedTooth jumped to the dusty ground. He stilled for a moment, wondering if this really was the right decision for him.

In the light of the setting sun and the rising moon, he spot a shooting star race across the dark purple sky, growing his certainty.

here's the pre-loop backstory for swiftstar, snowyslash, and shinyember <3

alder, swift, snowy, and shiny were all childhood friends! all except for shiny (who was a kittypet) were loners who traveled with their families, with alder and swift being twins. unfortunately, snowy's mom was taken by twolegs and alder and swift's parents died, with alder following soon after.

swift and snowy, having idolized the clans their whole lives, decided to try and join one, swiftclan. (swift being so excited that he changed his own name to swift) but the night before they tried, swift had a nightmare about swiftclan's warriors tearing him apart. he interpreted this as their first starclan omen, to leave the existing clans alone.

and so... they decided to make their own clan! surely they could find their footing with clan structure, right? and to boost their numbers, they asked shiny to come along too, who eagerly agreed. so the trio started thistleclan in the caverns, shoehorning their way into gatherings.

swiftpaw, having received the omen, was unanimously voted to be the leader of their little clan, with shinypaw becoming the medic apprentice. unfortunately, things turned shaky for them immediately when it came to their interpersonal relationships.

swiftpaw and snowypaw were best friends and soon-to-be lovers. shinypaw was really just the cute kit who followed them around. shinypaw wasnt as cute when she was fumbling around the herb storage or challenging swiftpaw on his leadership skills. while swiftpaw and snowypaw practiced battle moves, shinypaw was alone trying to get starclan to accept their clan as legitimate.

a rift between swift/snowy and shinypaw quickly formed. shinypaw felt resentful that she was ignored and trying to figure out the starclan situation alone, and swiftpaw and snowypaw were finding her to be annoying. arguments broke out between the three constantly. shinypaw had decided that she wanted to go home when starclan finally contacted them through alder, now alderpaw. alderpaw insisted that shinypaw had to stay as the medic and look after his family. and so she did.

swiftnettle and snowyslash became warriors now that they felt blessed, but shinypaw remained an apprentice. the two had already solidified shinypaw as an annoying child in their minds, and being a rank above them didnt help. so they were often snappy or rude to her, ignoring her just to focus on each other. even after she was an adult, they regarded her as a snotty brat rather than their medic.

shinypaw ended up falling for a swiftclan medic during all of this, and wound up pregnant shortly after. this seemed to be the thing that snapped all three cats out of it and made them realize they had to come together. swiftnettle and snowyslash, knowing that shinypaw breaking the code so early would have consequences, put their beef with shiny aside to support her kits while she tried to get her full name.

swiftnettle had been waiting to recieve his nine lives until she felt ready for leadership, but shinypaw's kits and their clan's unsteady footing made him go to the moon cave to get his nine lives... which is where our unfortunate story starts in full...

(ended up being more abt shinyember sorry. i love shinyember she makes me sad. also showing that swiftstar wasn't exactly perfect before the loops began either.... and again, everything is very very subject to change)

Umberstar loses her last 2 lives to old age. Weevilsun goes to receive her nine lives: Lilacbat - Acceptance. Raventuft - Unity (and warning against overconfidence). Copseshiver - Farsightedness. Sweetheart - Duty. Fuzzybush - Bravery. Stumpcone - Endurance. iPod - Humility. Aspendeer - Determination.  Umberstar - Endurance in the face of hardship.

Weevilstar is the new leader of Phloxclan. She names Teaselsky the new deputy.

As Weevilstar gets her nine lives, Falconfade has 2 kits. Wolfkit - White rosette tom with copper eyes, nervous, fascinated by prophecies. Cliffkit - Tortie molly with hazel eyes and long fur, charming, never sits still.

Mistlepelt has 2 kits, and Orchard is the other parent. Tawnykit - Ginger molly with hazel eyes, quiet, fascinated with prophecies, never sits still. Molekit - White and silver rosette tom with hazel eyes, bossy moss-ball hunter.

Outside the clan, Bouncespeckle has 2 kits. Flickerkit - White tom with a black eye spot, yellow eyes, and long fur, bullying, quick to help. Quailkit - Ginger speckled molly with yellow eyes, bullying, avid play-fighter, missing a leg.

Mumblepelt joins Starclan.

Beesechurgerleaf stepped on a bee. Sorrelpaw and Mudkit have heat exhaustion.

Weevilstar appoints her first warrior - Snowypaw - Snowyfeather.

After Umberstar's death, Peatwish and Springsprout are too grief stricken to work. Weevilstar asks Limebird to help the healers.

Aspenswipe and Salmon will always love their mates, but have decided to move on.

Weevilstar sets out on a patrol to let the other clans know she's the new leader, but dark clouds gather overhead. Remembering the previous floods, she turns back.

Moon 88

Auburnpaw earns the warrior name Auburngale.

Shiveringstripe has a single kit. Shatterkit - Gray tabby tom with pale blue eyes, bossy, moss-ball hunter.

Ravenfleck, Boo, and Sorrelpaw recover

Ottercinder and Flashpaw have heat stroke, and Quiverwing has heat exhaustion.

Weevilstar left a gift for Falconfade in her nest.

Teaselsky asks Peatwish how she's doing, and Peatwish thinks Teaselsky is helpful.

Honeyspider sneaks out to sleep in Teaselsky's nest at night.

A rogue is found at the border asking to join. Crow - Dark gray nonbinary cat with dark blue eyes, 43 moons, troublesome, learner of lore, incredible runner.

Snowyfeather's heart flutters at the sight of Crow.

A kittypet joins the clan. Burrowheart - White tom with emerald eyes, 114 moons, gloomy, masterful storyteller.

Moon 89

Ratpaw and Minnowpaw are made warriors - Ratstalk and Minnowcinder.

Carnationpaw is found dead near a fox den. Flashpaw died of heat stroke.

Burrowheart is badly burned in a fire. Wisteriaheart has heat exhaustion. Ottercinder, Beesechurgerleaf, and Mudkit recover.

Crow chats with Snowyfeather.

Starlinggleam has a nice time with Groveglide.

Flaxwhistle will always love Halfsnap but has decided to move on.

Shatterkit chases fireflies while everyone sleeps.

Umberstar failed to interpret a warning from Starclan and lost a life. She only has 3 left.

Fruitpaw tells Ottercinder her dreams have been full of dark images, and Ottercinder promises to help guide her.

Sloenight and Springsprout find a recently dead cat and his newborn kits. Torque - Orange trans tom with dark blue eyes and long fur, 32 moons, ambitious, great hunter, kittypet. Flykit - Ginger molly with blue eyes and long fur, impulsive, lover of stories. Mudkit - White molly with pale ginger paws, dark blue eyes, and long fur, charming, moss-ball hunter. Bouncespeckle, Falconfade, and Mistlepelt all announce they are expecting kits.

Halfsnap sees Flaxwhistle stumble while hunting and thinks it’s cute. Halfsnap and Flaxwhistle become mates.

Peatwish noticed Fruitpaw is doing their best today. Lemonlily shares tongues with Carnationpaw Flaxwhistle asks Sorrelpaw how they’re doing.

Twolegs find the camp and capture Sloemallow, Graytooth, Storktangle, Birchfern, Halfsnap, Hollyshock, Beech, Brush, Lemonlily, Boulderbeak, Popburst, Paleflicker, Clawspot, Bluebriar, Fiercefern, Whisper, Shrubfoot, Bouncespeckle, Splintergale, Coppersight, Loudclaw, Sandspeckle, Windhoney, Mumblepelt, Fennelspeckle, Flykit, Firkit, and Goldenkit.

Flaxwhistle is surprised by Shrubfoot being considerate. - She expresses her condolences that Flaxwhistle's new mate has been taken, and does not try to get back together with her.

Lichenpaw is reassigned to Trouble. Ratpaw is reassigned to Teaselsky.

Weevilsun is named the new deputy.

Minnowpaw complains that Springsprout doesn’t seem to understand signs from Starclan very well.

Cloverdust, Ottercinder, Fruitpaw, and Fluffypaw are patrolling when they are attacked by a dog. Cloverdust dies saving the apprentices. Fluffypaw is reassigned to Dewglade.

Apex is killed by a wolf.

3 new cats join the clan - A sick kittypet, a loner, and a Curlclan apprentice. Quiverwing - Red speckled molly with emerald eyes, 53 moons, sneaky, Dark Forest affinity, good storyteller. Limebird - Black tom with pale green eyes and long fur, 91 moons, troublesome, helpful insight. Snowypaw - White marbled tom with gray eyes, 10 moons, daring, avid play-fighter, apprenticed to Umberstar.

Ottercinder is Not Doing Well after Cloverdust's death and Clawspot's kidnapping.

Sorrelpaw says hello to Aspenswipe, but he still seems sad.
