Hey, just a little ask— why there's a headcanon about Halt has things for dress/dresses?

Like- i just find it little bit hilarious.

I'm fine, thanks for asking. Just about getting over my cold, just the deep chesty cough really left.

Anyway, Halt's dress kink thing.

I'll preface this by saying, a lot of things/headcanons/ideas I write have some basis in canon. This starts with the Halt's cloak ugc. So, Halt has a cloak, we can say Halt made it, therefore conclude Halt is into textiles and sewing and such.

Frail pet is the first Halt oneshot I wrote, and plot wise I wanted it to have Halt keep a human as a fragile little pet, almost like a porcelain doll. So, Halt puts you/the reader into a dress they made.

The second is Small problem. Two things happened whilst writing that one which is what kinda lead to the whole 'Halt has a thing for dresses'. Firstly, you/reader was shrunk down. When I was writing that, I happened to think to myself: "you know, it's kinda weird how (excluding media that actually explain it) if a person is being shrunk on a molecular level, their clothes shrink too. That's not part of their body! They should remain big!' and that lead to what happened in the fic: you/reader shrink, clothes don't. You're tiny and naked. Secondly, we get to when you/reader is caught by Halt. Halt clearly wouldn't want to keep you naked forever. So, using their textile skills, they make you something simple to wear for the time being. Anyway, brain struck again with: "Halt would arguably go for the simplest design if they intend to get you better stuff to wear later/wanted to make something fast. That's a dress! Think about it, you only really need a tube dress, no sleeves, only have to stitch too ends of a fabric together and boom! Dress! Quick, easy and covers all modesty!" and that's why a dress was made. I realised after that that both my Halt oneshots feature Halt putting you in a dress and was like "Man, I either gotta stop doing that or make it a running joke" Consensus was to make it a running joke, so here we are.

Wow what an update! This took a while because uh she does not rewear her outfits very often in this segment of the show, still it was fascinating to see how the style of clothes changes over this time period. Also new to this update I went through and added the smol Ran's that have appeared that I skipped over before :)

This project has been a lot of fun and I intend to continue so they'll be more to come in the future too. In the meantime I want to know people's favourites! (Or least favourites are fun too) let me know in the comments/tags!

As a final P.S I've learnt that some of her merch/promo looks are unique and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's any archive or something of references of those cause some of those are really cute and I'd like to include them.

Fake Dating for an event but make it Makoann

Originally Akira was willing to take Makotos place, but there were concerns that someone would recognize him through the makeup. “Shido KNOWS your face; we cant risk that.”

Futaba doesnt go for very obv reasons (agoraphobic), but also, she needs to have a live feed of everything being said incase they need to leave the event early. And Haru cant go bc shes the daughter of Okumura; she would be recognized immediately. Makoto is simply the best choice given the (unfortunate) circumstances.

Normally, they would joke about Ann’s acting; but shes a model and she knows how to act appropriately in these kinds of situations. Its not an act, its her Job, and its kind of wild for Makoto to see her effortlessly mingle w so many important and intimidating people without a care in the world. Makoto finds herself less stressed about the event because of it, and perhaps even a little emboldened 😳

Every now and then I remember the times I would mention to my flatmate that I was thinking of buying myself something reasonably expensive (that I had been eyeing up for months and had budgeted for) and she'd tell me that I shouldn't spend that much money on something I didn't need and it would be stupid etc etc while she regularly impulse bought things that cost at least as much and she would use once (while complaining that she was under a lot of financial stress and couldn't afford <$3/week for 2 months for a rental washing machine when ours broke).
