i wipe the cutting board with soap and water yes. the wiping and the washing are one and the same

#so yes i do wash it. most times i just wipe it w soap water and a clean dish cloth #unless it needs a deeper clean w more scrubbing thats when i take it to the sink for a more thorough going over #glad i cld clear up your intense curiosity as to my kitchen habits I understand the stress you must have been under not knowing my routine #its one of those big thick heavy slab type cutting boards

Having roommates is so fucking weird why do we have two Britt filters, two paper towels holder, and even after I confirmed getting stuff for our bathroom together some still gets it girl why does no one communicate

suffering bc my dishwasher has been busted for like a week and a half. and they won’t fix it until tuesday or wednesday bc they had to order a part

I've bought SO MUCH.

I'm buying stuff in anticipation of being able to get my own place hopefully in the next couple months (Looking for a job in another state lol), and I left a lot of my list alone specifically to wait for prime day.

I made a pretty good dent! Mostly stuff from the 'sprinkles' list left!

#i created an excel spreadsheet of absolutely every single thing you could have in an apartment #organized by 'day 1 necessity' in one column and 'sprinkles' in another column that is like- stuff that can wait a few months #stuff i already have is marked off #and it's all organized by room #the kitchen and dining list is the absolute longest but now it's nearly done #both necessity and sprinkle column #only the red-marked stuff is left which is like storage items- things you really need to know the exact place you're moving into to buy #the thought was that i know i'll get mega stressed with my first shopping trip becuase i'm not used to spending money #i didn't have any for a long time and it scares me a bit to buy nice things #and I knew i'd end up spooked and just bying the cheapest version of each thing I could find #so this is me slowly buying the stuff I *want* that pleases me aesthetically #and when i move in it is only the ultra basics left like dish cleaner and hand soap and bug spray #and then the first wave of grocery shopping of course but like you get the point #the major expenses are done and handled #past-kristen fucks present and future-kristen over a lot #so this is like redeeming my past self preemptively #my god is future-kristen going to fucking love me

#ok the story behind this is: like 2 weeks ago i was at a friends apt (studio) and someone went to wash their hands in the kitchen sink #and the host went ‘are you crazy. wash hands in the bathroom sink’ and me and my other friend thought that was so bizarre #so we were asking him all sorts of questions like ‘what if you’re cooking and you need to rinse smth off your fingers’#and he said no hands are washed in bathroom sink only #so i’m curious if other ppl feel the same way or not #personally if i need to wash my hands and i’m in the kitchen i will wash my hands there. usually there aren’t dishes in the sink at home tho #bc we have a dishwasher #but like i never rlly thought abt it. if i’m like oh i need to wash my hands and i’m in the kitchen i will wash my hands there #like we have hand soap there next to the dish soap. idk what do y’all think #i think also it being a studio apt helps cuz like at home if i were to use the bathroom sink only i wld have to walk #halfway across the house every time i needed to wash or rinse my hands off #which seems inconvenient #but in my friends apt the bathroom & kitchen r directly adjacent
