Updated World Groups

Months ago (or almost a year ago?) I made a world group system for The Sims 4 that I only posted on Twitter. The point of this was to give me some limitations and gameplay rules to spice things up because it's just not realistic to make a few-hour trip to Sulani from Britechester while they are far from each other. Also, grouping worlds gives more space to work with. The original system was made before Growing Together. I added the three new neighborhoods and made some changes. First, I'm going to show the world groups, then I'll tell you the gameplay rules and mod suggestions for more immersion.

World Groups

Group 1: Willow Creek - Magnolia Promenade - Newcrest - San Myshuno. Willow Creek and Newcrest are suburbs of San Myshuno. Magnolia Promenade is a small shopping district between Willow Creek and Newcrest.

Group 2: Del Sol Valley - Tartosa - Chestnut Ridge - Strangerville - Oasis Springs. Del Sol Valley sits between the ocean and the desert. The far you go, the more sand you see. Tartosa made it here because it’s famous for its wine, and Chestnut Ridge came with wine making, so Chestnut’s Rider’s Den is connected to Tartosa’s Terra Amorosa.

Group 3: Brindleton Bay - Moonwood Mill - Glimmerbrook - Forgotten Hollows. Moonwood Mill, Glimmerbrook and Forgotten Hollows are the nest of the occult. They are all in the same woods next to Brindleton Bay’s Cavalier’s Cove. Closest destination world is Granite Falls.

Group 4: Windenburg - Britechester - Henford-on-Bagley. Britechester sits between two historical towns, Windenburg and Henford-on-Bagley.

Group 5: Evergreen Harbor - Copperdale - San Sequoia. San Sequoia’s Anchorpoint Wharf is connected to Evergreen’s Port Promise. The other end of the bridge goes to Copperdale..

Group 6 : Sulani - Tomarang - Mt. Komorebi. Sulani is close to Tomarang on ship, Mt. Komorebi is next to Tomarang in land. 

Destination Worlds: Granite Falls - Selvadorada 

Gameplay Rules

Rule 1: You can freely visit any lot inside your homegroup. 

Rule 2: If you are leaving your homegroup, you have to rent a house and stay at least 3 days (2 nights). 

Rule 3: Copperdale High is an elite school. You can attend active school only if you live in the San Sequoia group, or you can build a "high school dorm": a lot your teen can live on with other teens far away from family, and you can only visit home on weekends.

Rule 4: If you are a spellcaster living outside of the Glimmerbrook’s area, you can freely visit the magic realm. That’s why you have the Glimmerstone.

Rule 5: You have to move into a dorm if you want to go to university, except if you live in Henford-on-Bagley or Windenburg. In that case university housing is optional.

Rule 6: Your minimum vacation in a destination world is 5 days (4 nights)

Rule 7: Batuu is an amusement park in a virtual reality. You can freely visit any time for any amount of time.

Mod Suggestions

Of course you can make world groups, but the game doesn't care. It will spawn sims from all worlds. If you don't want to have Caleb Vatore as bartender at Sulani, you need a mod.

Previously, I used Lotharihoe's Sim Spawn Overhaul, it still works as far as I know. I found this when I wanted to have stray dogs in all worlds, but it's much more than that!

Lately I use Kuttoe's Home Regions mod paired with Townie Demograpfics. It's a little bit more complex, but also assigns homeless sims to worlds, so you don't have to home every walkby townies. With Townie Demographics the randomly generated sims are not so random.

For high school immersion, I recommend Rex's Choose High School Classmates mod.

I'm here for Calpernia meta when you have time 💜💜💜

Well, I’m always here to share Meta! Thank you for the ask! I have a little bit of a break before my classes resume and this was so much fun I got a little carried away!! 💜 

I said a lot about Calpernia on her character page, so if you haven’t already gone thru it, I promise a nice, lengthy read.

Now, something I’ve wanted to write about for a while is the Skyllian Blitz and what it meant for Calpernia specifically. 

Calpernia was born on the colony of Mindoir and from that alone we know a lot. She was orphaned as a result of the Batarian Raid; a fact that colors all her major decisions afterward. 

She joined the Systems Alliance because, from her perspective, the Alliance was the heroes who saved her and the rest of her colony. The Alliance was the Good Guys. And though she was timid and didn’t want any attention, she also wanted to do something good. 

Because you see—Calpernia survived because she hid. She hid while her family and friends were being taken away and it took her a long time before she could work through that survivor’s guilt. 

So she wanted to do something good. 

Fast forward a few years and young Calpernia is a simple marine. She was assigned to the First Fleet, the unit that guards the Mass Relays leading to the Sol system and acts as a reactionary force against attacks on earth’s colonies. Like with everything she’s very good at what she does but isn’t particularly notable and she’s fine with that.

But then she went to Elysium on shore leave and everything changed. 

There she was: minding her business, trying delicious foods and trying to work out the logistics of achieving a higher biotic output normal vacation things. And then the Batarians attacked. 

And so she did what she was trained to do; Calpernia sprang into action. 

The rest is history. She rallied a resistance and “near single-handedly” held back the Batarian Pirates. Calpernia never considered it to be a solo effort, however. 

Despite what the shaky drone footage someone captured, Calpernia knows she wouldn’t have been able to do it had it not been for the people backing her up. In fact, there was a moment—a single moment but significant nonetheless—where she was prepared to fail. 

She was tired, her biotic power was at its limit, many of the surrounding soldiers had fallen… and then she remembered the colonists. The brave men and women who rallied with her, who she believed in and who believed in her. She thought of all the scared little girls who were hiding alone in their rooms and how they needed a hero. She remembered how much she needed a hero. And she remembered that she was the hero now—and so she pushed past her limit. 

She theorized it might be possible, and that’s the math she was trying to work out but she knew if she could peak higher, release more power, that she could do what I imagine is some sort of precursor to her infamous Biotic Charge. 

It wasn’t fully successful since she was only an L3 at the time but it was enough—I like to imagine it was one of her most impressive biotic displays. Something of a biotic mini-charge. 

Calpernia ran she into the enemy fire, using her biotics to speed up and threw at least one (or two) heavily armored vehicle(s) that caused enough of an explosion that the Batarians were harmed and distracted. The explosion also provided her enough cover that she could move and seal the breach in Elysiums defenses. She held it until reinforcements arrived. 

And that was the clip they showed on all the news cycles—that is how she became famous.*

They sensationalized her life and began forming their own narrative around the events. 

They made her into an Alliance Feel-Good Story. And then somehow, against her will, she became the face of the Systems Alliance. So much for not wanting to stand out. 

Soon, everyone wanted a “moment of her time,” and they wanted to “sit down and talk” to her. But she didn’t want to. 

It’s not like she wasn’t appreciative of their gratefulness but goodness!  She spoke at the memorial for those who died in the Blitz and she gave a little speech when she received her Star of Terra; for her, that was enough. She didn’t want to be in the spotlight—which made everyone want to talk to her more. 

So she was relieved when she received her invitation to join the Interplanetary Combative Training (ICT) Program. At least there she wouldn’t have to talk to the press...and then she graduated N7. 

After she finished the continued her service with the First Fleet until Anderson requested her transfer to the Normandy and the rest, of course, is history.

*Calpernia romanced Kaidan and I think it’s cute to think about how this was the first time he saw her. I mean sometimes I think about how they could have passed each other in a crowded cafeteria, but this would have been the first time he saw her. Her service portrait superimposed on shaky footage of her doing some impressive biotics. 

Could you imagine? A human biotic looked up to as a hero. And not only that but she’s super pretty. My boy might have caught feelings right then had his buddies not been there to clown him. Regardless of whatever Jenkins says his heart glows a little when he thinks about how her actions could lead to people seeing biotics in a new light. 

Also not so fun fact: Calpernia just...really doesn’t care much for Batarians. It’s one of her flaws. She likes to think her experiences don’t color her interactions with Batarians but they do. She’s always just a little more weary and/or aggressive with them then she would be in a comparable situation with like...a Turian or Asari.

E escolhemos o cerrado brasileiro para a primeira viagem com o baby no forninho 🤰🏾 Aguardem muitas fotos e dicas de viagens para gestantes e para crianças 💚👶🏾🙇🏾‍♀️ E sobre a foto, foi tirada diretamente da lua. 🌚 O Vale da Lua é um complexo de rochas esculpidas pelo movimento das águas ao longo de 600 milhões de anos criando poços e cavidades que fazem uma alusão à lua. O vale conta com 2 grandes poços de água onde é possível nadar e curtir o dia com essa paisagem de filme. O Vale fica entre Alto Paraíso e São Jorge e depois de alguns km de rodovia, há um pequeno trecho de estrada de terra. O ingresso é 20 reais e a trilha até o vale é de 600 metros que pode ser percorrida sem grandes dificuldades por cerca de 15 a 20 minutos. A trilha é facilmente percorrida por gestantes e crianças e o resultado é esse aí, mais uma maravilha da natureza! It is the third year of a fragile peace here on Mars, since the end of its decade long civil war.

After long periods of recovery, the unified Martian Federation have now focused on building up strength in its armed forces. Their numbers have now grown to numerous full-fledged formations, ready to fight at any given time. Along with the remaining Mars-stationed soldiers of the UNGAC, under the Carus-Carter Defense Treaty, they will prepare for any event if the need arose.

Their human allies on the political side, however, are not so optimistic. After three years of heavy fighting, and the ongoing peace. Arcadia. For a while, you might as well be in any Arabian desert, and no one would argue with you. Aside from the crater by the road, the gullies that might flow with liquid water, the Alba Patera volcano, Tempe Terra, and the numerous variety of Martians who reside here. Like the desert, it’s beautiful.

We see a platoon of MX-14 medium tanks pressing on in all their glory. Armour leaving the base, always a sight to behold. They pass by a Martian guard. The commander of the lead tank, who we see sitting up in the commander’s hatch, salutes his alien comrade as they move on to their objective.But that’s not all we see.

EXTERIOR: F.O.B. JACE MALCOM – DAWN

We come upon one of the first signs of human presence here in Arcadia. The Jace Malcom. An infantry garrison. Walls like something out of the medieval ages, with a tad bit of a modern sci-fi touch. Barbed wires. Martian dirt sandbags. Mounted machine guns. Anti-Air and Anti-Tank defense systems. Lights. 

The works.

Guards up on the walls, keeping watch beyond the wire. Engineers continue ongoing construction around the F.O.B. Mechanics keeping the vehicles maintained. Tanks and light armoured vehicles. Helicopters and jets. Coming and going, parking and staying. A military base, indeed.

This section of this vast garrison we’re in, is Camp Lee Marvin. Home of two units, under the UNGAC’s First Infantry Division, “the First Responders“.

We move deep inside this certain area of the camp. Numerous MX-1 and MX-4 utility vehicles. TX-46 cargo carriers. Soldiers either waking up, or on early morning exercises. Various maintenance works, and “chores” can also be seen. We also see another sign.

We see the compound area of first battalion. Same blast walls, same blast wall defences. Flags of various countries planted around, reminding them of home back on Earth. Gyms. Chow halls. Vehicle maintenance areas. Prayer areas. Hubs for the soldiers, counts as a home. Everything, at least. It’s the size of a small village down here.

EXTERIOR: BRAVO HUB 48, CAMP LEE MARVIN – DAY 

The home of fourth platoon’s first squad. Nine members live here. A home made of industrial canvas, and “Martian metal”. A few renovations ongoing for reinforcement. The airlock, working and catching some dust. The air lock tube can also be seen. Two vehicles parked under a larger, metal roof inside a three-vehicle area.

INTERIOR: VARIOUS BUNK ROOMS OF BRAVO FOUR-ONE

It is quiet.

J.N. KO sleeps. Korean. The Staff Sergeant. Called “Neil” or “the Pro”. His room is completely organized. With the exception of his table, stacked with a computer, a screwdriver set, and some laptop parts. His M09 pistol, and XP-AR6 assault rifle both seen disassembled. We see various family pictures. Mom, Dad, and his pet dogs. An alarm clock. A single anime poster, just behind some anime memorabilia.

SEBASTIAN GULTIANO sleeps. Filipino. Sergeant, the second in command. Called “Bastion”, a nickname he came up with because it sounds awesome. Room blessed with his hand drawn art. Artist desk with various supplies. Stacked tower of graphic novels. Pictures of his family, his dogs, and his friends. Autographed art collection stuck to the wall like music posters. His computer can be seen under his bed.

RALPH SIEGLER von KRUPP sleeps. German. Corporal. His MK-50 light machine gun, and belt of bullets is cluttered and disassembled too. Family pictures. Pictures of a girl. German flag. ISAF flag. Grenade belt, with dummy grenades, hung on a wall. A Star Trek poster.

JOHN W. OCAMPO sleeps. Filipino. Corporal. Called “Joker”. Sleeping with an unloaded M09 bedside. A Philippine Supremo striker sports flag, and a custom made insignia of his unit. His old Scout Ranger Jacket folded up nicely. Pictures of his family. Pictures of him walking his dog. And a picture of a girl holding a snowball. An unloaded M43 infantry sniper rifle, just beneath a poster for “The Highlander”. Several ammo magazines, and bullets organized nicely.

RUMER JOSE sleeps. Filipino. Specialist. Called “Raven J.”, from his online game      name. Pictures and posters of anime, games, and Japanese idols. Pictures of his family. Pictures of him playing soccer. His old jersey, still clean. A computer bag seen by the bed.

JACOB L. GRADY sleeps. American. Private First Class. Gained the moniker “Grade A” because of a mispronunciation attempt from a Chinese crew chief. Guitar bag leaning by the wall. A poster of Jimi Hendrix, and Halo 2. Texas flag. Pictures of family Christmas and New Year. A Polaroid of him atop an M4 Sherman medium tank during vacation.

DIRK EZEE sleeps. Half Venutian, half human. Private. Called “Zee”. A holstered Eta-1 blaster pistol hanging on his bed. Some holographic cubes of his family. And a girl, as well. A map of Arcadia. A poster of AKB48. A strange sphere-like device seems to be charging because of its blinking light.

MICHAEL ANDERSON sleeps. Filipino, with some Swedish heritage. Private. Pictures of his mom, dad, and little brother. Half the wall section is drawn with chalk. The words “This DJ’s gonna save your life!” is present. He sleeps with some earphones right beside him. Has a whiteboard that reminds him of buying something from Rumer and Neil.

 O Reverendo Christopher era/é acessível, gracioso, mas rigoroso e confiável. Eu cresci na fé. Perguntaram-me se tinha alguma pergunta. Respondi perguntando se Deus todo-poderoso ainda está vivo, e por que José era conhecido como o pai do Senhor Jesus Cristo Emanuel se ele fosse concebido por Deus todo-poderoso.

 Eu fui dito aproximadamente: Senhor Jesus Cristo Emanuel é o filho de Deus todo-poderoso (como todos os descendentes de Deus todo-poderoso) nascidos de Virgem Maria, eo resto eu aprenderei na escola dominical e na igreja, que é basicamente o ensino da Bíblia Sagrada.
