Huh. So Thrax is canonically Not Fond Of Spiders and Specifically Oraxia, and the drifter and Entrati used to be close.

I wonder if Oraxia *being* a spider was like, completely on purpose. I wonder for how long before the executions began Thrax was putting too much on the drifter's shoulders. Cant imagine its easy to get some space to breathe when your best friend is a king-ified version of the worst state you've ever been in, who always needs you for *something.*

Antis: Uh- she was born evil! She had no empathy!

Me: My guy, she was raised by literal Ozai and was neglected by her mom along with Iroh. Zuko could’ve been the same and so could’ve ANYONE. That was the whole point of that one episode showing Roku’s backstory. She’s also still only 14 in the finale and 16 in the comics.

Antis: Erm- uh...She rejected redemption! Yeah- she’s pure evil for that!

Me: Zuko rejected redemption in season 2. But he still changed.

VERY mindful about the commentary made towards this movie #and towards its characters #celine is such a prime example of most asian parents and the ‘suffer in silence’ belief #calling celine abusive? INSANE #i get that it’s easy for people to make celine the rep for their bigoted parents/family but that’s . not it #there many layers and interconnecting values when it comes to dissecting asian family dynamics #and honestly! most ethnic family dynamics!#most non-western dynamics #beauty of art is that it’s out there for ppl to receive it how they want *and* i need there to be some critical thinking.#shame is a deeply embedded part of most asian cultures and dynamics and the movie plays into it A LOT. it’s central #culture and traditionalism are major themes within kpdh #i just . hhhhhhh

sonic prime is so weird because some of the shatterverse characters feel like they actually had a lot of thought into them and are meant to be a representation of or a subversion of a certain trait in the original character and others are like . okay lets put that guy in an outfit so we can make one billion dollars selling toys

#sonic prime is so good in some ways but also so painfully mid in others its crazy #like for example. the action scenes in prime are really well animated.#but the pacing can get so bad with there being way too many action scenes with not much else going on #season 3 was the worst about this it felt like they were trying to drag out the show to fill the episode count #without actually adding more story content #with the selling toys thing i wouldnt be surprised if that was actually a major motivation for the show #witj the ungodly amount of merch of sonic prime specifically that they made (and are still making)

So something that came to my brain

We’ve gotten Optimus and Megatron iterations where Megatron is older than Optimus, and in more modern interpretations, where they’re around the same age

So why not have an iteration where Optimus is the older one of the two?

The idea that immediately pops into my head is that before the war (assuming we keep the story of the two knowing each other prior), Optimus could have been a mentor to Megatron, only for Megatron to eventually change for whatever reason and turn his back on Optimus, creating the Decepticons and waging war

It doesn’t need to be that, it’s just what came to my head first. But the idea of their dynamic being where Optimus is the older and Megatron the younger is maybe something to explore in future iterations. We now have a version where Starscream is notably older than Megatron, why not do the same with him and Optimus?

#I mean one might say it could throw a wrench into megop #though granted it depends on the interpretation like if it’s the one I listed #but even then it’s probably not going to stop people (TFA as an example)#and I mean despite my love of the ship in certain iterations it isn’t canon and doesn’t need to be #and I don’t know I’d be curious to see where this sort of interpretation would go #especially since I feel like most interpretations have Megatron as the one with more “power” so to speak #but having an Optimus who’s the older one could certainly change that #I don’t know I feel like I’m starting to sound weird #but I just think this idea has some potential and I don’t think it’s been done before in official media #transformers #megatron #optimus prime #ideas
