IT'S FINALLY FUCKING DONE AMEN!!!!

Should probably mention the story of this piece:

A while back (last year), one of me mates did an art swap with me. They made me a 3d render of my Spartan, and I made this lil torture device (said with love) in return.

It took me a while to get the right sketch because I wasn't sure how I wanted the piece to look. I ended up deciding on a frontal view, which AGriffin to that, lol. Once that was sorted, I had to paint the base layer, which took two broken months to get right because the app i was using hated me. Finally, over the past few weeks, I was able to sit down and finish the detailing. Whilst that had its own little journey of hell, when I found the right texture, I was thoroughly thrilled.

Although I'm not sure about the visor, all in all, I'm pretty damn pleased that it's done and that the person I made it for likes it.

So, that's the story behind this lil thing. Hope y'all enjoy, and until next time, stay safe!

you know a neat little bit of subtle world building I've always liked in the recollection trilogy + freelancer saga (that gets forgotten about in later seasons) is how the bgc + the freelancers (sans ct and lina) were the only characters to wear mark VI (or in caboose's case mark V) helmets. all other freelancer personnel and the UNSC in those seasons either wore ODST armor/helmets or marine armor, and idk I just think it was a neat little detail that showcases some level of consistency with the greater halo canon.

#ngl i like this detail mostly bc i think it's really funny to think of the freelancer's as knockoff spartans lol #nah but fr imagine if all of the chorus ppl wore odst armor. that would slap so hard thematically my guys #the only thing separating the feds and the new republic is arbitrary colors and an artificial divide created by the same organization....#felix and locus could keep their armor but make it a plot point that they're wearing freelancer armor created by charon after analyzing ct's #armor that they failed to recover #rvb #red vs blue #mine #not t/oaru
