Finally I draw the flipside of the scary adventuring duo that is estinien and zenos. aka one man using the other as a third eye blindfold and the other being absolutely dead to the world because cozy (until he overheats in two hours and is unable to escape).
#ffxiv#sketch#zenos yae galvus#estinien wyrmblood#adventurer zenos#i was drawing this with the thought of estinien making a squeaky toy noise if zenos moves#which- in reality he never does cause even in game zenos is a fuckin statue when he sleeps- i almost imagine him being frighteningly still#also just the thought that zenos just sleeps better/the final days dreams are dulled if he's focusing on#something like his companions' heart beating or their breathing#just something that distracts him from thinking about it#is he usually weird about it? probably#but him and estinien are just the duo of idgaf#look estinien indulges in this for him because adventurer!zenos indulges is his squid/monster food obsession#(this is just also spawning from the HS manga being one of the original reasons I started writing this duo anyways LOL)#theyre also stupid(affectionate) because they never keep watch when traveling#zenos will always be right next to the opening of the tent#gae bolg is always arms length from estinien#i imagine even around the scions these two will hunker down at whatever entrance or point of interest there is and just knock tf out#one shoots lazers and the other is a bladed missile on legs they are simply just not concerned

i’m aware i’m 100% alone in this, but i genuinely adore ascended astarion (especially when romanced) because of how—frankly—horrific it is. it’s simultaneously so cathartic in its brutality but so unsatisfying personally while managing to be narratively satisfying (just as his other outcome is, of course).
#ophelia.txt#bg3 spoilers#the way he still has the shell of his old feelings for tav mirrored in his possessiveness of them. that alone does suggest that he’d#probably not subject them to the same overt cruelty that he suffered which makes it all far more dangerous and insidious. because what#humanity—in as much as it can be called thus—remained to him is gone. what made him HIM is gone and all that remains is an incredibly#powerful being who (if you got his scene after moonrise) hates them for letting him go through with it. he has no love left in him now.#only want and resentment and possessiveness. if he loves tav it’s the possessive and selfish love a child has for a toy. but he doesn’t#even respect them. he’s too paranoid now. too drunk on the power he has from his failure to break the cycle (which he. again. resents tav#for allowing). he said right out the gates that true vampires are never created. there’s only ever a sire and a spawn. and he views tav#letting him bite them as them degrading themselves. placing themselves as lesser than him and it’s the new baseline for how he’s going to#treat them because the man they loved is effectively gone. it makes me feel so unwell. i love ascended astarion like okay king of not#breaking the cycle 🙌🙌🙌

aside from the fact magisters don't pass laws, the implication that cazador was just kind of casually waiting around for his moment bc knew astarion was Such a dickhead that someone was going to beat his ass to death eventually is extremely funny
#baldur's gate 3#i mean i'm ASSUMING they're going off a more olde/british-centric definition of magistrate ie basically a legal administrator of an area id#since i don't think cazador would turn someone actually powerful/well known into a spawn for Obvious Reasons#magistrates aren't lawyers or judges + don't go to law school + don't attend to serious criminal matters. but maybe i'm wrong who knows#anyway it seems fairly established that cazador has been manipulating/targeting/toying with the gur in the area for a long time#he was very particular abt his spawn and getting what he wanted so i seriously dont believe he would leave anything to chance At All#but him just lurking in alleyways waiting for someone to finally just get sick of astarion's shit tickles me.#like hmm i COULD concoct a nefarious plan to snare him but the guy's just so damn murderable why bother
