I made some spell cards for my DND character Marcus!

The whole reason I did this is because I couldn't find ones that were printable for free online (maybe I'm just stupid and couldn't find any)?? It was easier to make them myself anyway lol so uh there's a blank template under the cut for anyone to use :D

I recommend if you are printing them, do it at roughly A5 size but you can make them as big or as small as you like :]

      You dance a playful dance that makes the trees within range sway in a playful way for the duration. The swaying causes no damage to the trees or anything nearby. Touhou OC: Hōzuki Yamata

Touhou OC for a hypothetical fan game called Faceted Imperial Treasures. The plot and main characters would be based on the three Imperial Treasures of Japan. This character, the stage 5 boss, represents and is the creator of the Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. Also based on the Yamata no Orochi of Japanese legend. Hōzuki is very much the brute and the edgelord of the Three Imperial Gods, and the only one who used to be a youkai.

Species: Orochi-turned-god

Ability: creating any kind of weapon

Theme: “Storm-Tossed Hydra”

“Sample the fruits forged in my blackened guts and perish!!”

-Stage 5 boss.

-Creator of the Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi.

-The “strength” of the three imperial gods and the last to join due to her unique status as a former youkai. Still insecure about that.

-Her innards are a forge of the finest weapons known to man or god. The weapons she makes are forged in her stomach and then puked out.

-After she was fatally wounded in her battle with Susanoo the storm god, she vomited the Tsurugi and subsequently ascended to deityhood as the god of weaponry.

-Proudly proclaims herself as “evil”, “black-hearted”, having “black guts”, etc. and freely admits that her favourite offerings consist of virgin flesh. Her diet isn’t out of the ordinary for a youkai, though.

-She’s actually not that malicious, but is very much chaotic neutral and enjoys intimidating people.

-In spite of her reckless and edgy “tough guy” attitude, she’s afraid of thunderstorms due to trauma from her battle with Susanoo. She also abstains from alcohol for this reason.

-Likes to talk in an elevated old-fashioned manner to seem as “godlike” as possible.

-Also the Stage 5 and Extra midboss.

Vanquish Soul Pantera VS Vanquish Soul Caeser Valius. Fight!

Epic ass name for a card, especially when you remember this archetype is named Vanquish Soul, meaning the price of losing a battle is the destruction of your very soul. Kinda like a shadow game, honestly. It's been quite a while since I've looked at a Vanquish Soul card, but I'll always enjoy how, despite how visually busy and detailed these cards are, they always manage to provide just the right degree of contrast to keep everything in balance. Like, without the divider here? I highly doubt I would enjoy this art as much as I do, if only because Pantera and Valius standing there staring at each other isn’t very interesting (they also have a high level of rendering that wouldn’t look at that great right up against each other). The simple but stark slash of lightning cutting right through the middle prevents their details from being lost in each other, and also makes for some neat, fighting game style framing. I cannot overstate how much I love how the lightning forms the abbreviation "VS". If you gave me a fighting game with this design specifically for the pre match loading screen I would go nuts over it (and I'm not typically a fighting game type person). I’d never actually seen Pantera before this card art, but I do like her design (I am not immune to :3 mouth). Valius looks as cool as ever, especially with the bold, red lightning swirling around his hand. However, I don't like how weirdly big his hand is in this... It's straight up gigantic, especially when compared with his head??? He is larger than Pantera outright, but I don’t think his hands should be 4x the size of hers.
