They really set up Finn/Poe by making them both generals. If only they'd had an I love you/I know moment. They really are following the Han/Leia trajectory.
I don’t get why “Somehow, Palpatine has returned” is mocked so much as the epitome of bad writing.
Coz it is explained. Dark technology (cloning) and Sith powers. But the rebels don’t know that. They know that Palpatine has returned, and their mole in the First Order confirms it. And General Hux doesn’t know how he returned either, so he can’t tell them.
So “Somehow, Palpatine has returned” is literally the exact thing Poe should say in that situation.
I wish Force Ghost Luke would’ve trolled Kylo Ren all through Rise of Skywalker. Like legit questioned everything Kylo did from what he wore to what he ate to how he worded things.
“Are you really going to wear that? The black shades don’t match.”
“Carbs for lunch? Didn’t you have carbs for breakfast too?”
“Hmm” (kylo: “what now?!”) “nothing, it’s just that that’s not proper grammar.”
But like all Force Ghosts only Kylo can see/hear him so to the outside viewer it legit looks like Kylo is arguing with thin air.
And for funsies, Force Ghost Obiwan drops in. “Luke is right, a balanced breakfast is important. What are these? Post Toasties Fortunate Talismans? In fun shapes? Anakin ate these….Straight sugar more like.”
Honestly part of me is kinda glad Matt Smith never got to play young palpatine because the sight of him and Oscar Isaac in a movie together would've sent me to an early grave
The Flashing Lights Warning Track for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker is now available on the $5 tier our Patreon page!
This Flashing Lights Warning Track is easily the one that has taken the most work to complete. With 274 individual elements on the media table, and over 25 total minutes of harsh strobes, and informing the viewer in real time what they're missing during these strobe effects, it's almost a wonder this one could possibly exist.
There are very few things I wanted more than a Finn/Poe kiss at the end. They really looked like they were going to and then we cut away and when we see them again they're basically holding hands....
He always comes back. . . yay. | Lego Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker
Light and Terry are to the last movie in the skywalker saga. Come watch everything burn. Terry hasn't seen the movie since it's release in 2019. Is it really as bad as we remember?
