March 6, 2024 | King Carl XVI Gustaf and Crown Princess Victoria attended a seminar to mark that on March 6, 1974, a new constitution (in other words, a new form of government) was adopted in Sweden (due to Carl Gustaf deciding to turn the whole place upside-down as one of his first actions as monarch). Invited professors and a couple of the members who sat in the Riksdag when the form of government was adopted in 1974 spoke at the seminar. Among the audience were a couple hundred invited guests, including the former prime ministers Stefan Löfven and Ingvar Carlsson.

Tumblr media
Dustin Wolf, Goaltender (Calgary Wranglers): Winner of the Baz Bastien Award as the AHL’s top goaltender as a rookie in 2021-22, Dustin Wolf has followed up with another remarkable season, leading the AHL in wins (41), goals-against average (2.08), save percentage (.932), shutouts (7), minutes played (3,120), shots faced (1,594) and saves (1,486). Wolf, a 21-year-old native of Gilroy, Calif., also earned co-MVP honors at the 2023 AHL All-Star Challenge in Laval back in February, and picked up a victory in his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames on Apr. 12. He becomes the first AHL goaltender to garner back-to-back First Team All-Star nods since Bob Janecyk in 1981-82 and 1982-83, and the first ever to do so in his first two pro seasons. Darren Raddysh, Defenseman (Syracuse Crunch): Sixth-year pro Darren Raddysh has had a breakout season in 2022-23, shattering his previous career highs with 13 goals, 38 assists and 51 points in just 50 games played with Syracuse. Raddysh is tied for third in scoring among AHL defensemen despite spending most of the second half of the season in the NHL, where he has skated in 16 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Toronto native also represented the Crunch at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic. Christian Wolanin, Defenseman (Abbotsford Canucks): Christian Wolanin leads all AHL defensemen with 49 assists and 55 points this season while skating in 49 games for Abbotsford in his first campaign in the Canucks organization. Wolanin, who has also played 16 games in the NHL with Vancouver this year, had a 13-game scoring streak from Nov. 10 to Dec. 9, and participated in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic in Laval, his second career All-Star nod. Originally a fourth-round pick by Ottawa in the 2015 NHL Draft, Wolanin signed a two-year extension with Vancouver on Mar. 23. Alex Barré-Boulet, Forward (Syracuse Crunch): Alex Barré-Boulet earns his second career postseason All-Star berth with a First Team selection as he ranks second in the AHL in assists (59) and points (82) – both career highs – over 67 games with Syracuse. The fifth-year pro is also tied for third in plus/minus among AHL forwards with a plus-25 rating, and he became the Crunch franchise’s all-time leader in goals, assists and points over the course of this season. A native of Montmagny, Que., Barré-Boulet was previously a Second Team All-Star in 2019-20, and was named the league’s outstanding rookie in 2018-19. Michael Carcone, Forward (Tucson Roadrunners): The AHL’s leading scorer heading into the final weekend of the regular season, Michael Carcone has nearly doubled his previous career high with 84 points (31 goals, 53 assists) in 63 games for Tucson in 2022-23. Carcone also leads the league with 263 shots on goal, and ranks second with his 14 power-play tallies. The seventh-year pro from Ajax, Ont., recorded 30 points during a 15-game scoring streak from Dec. 17 to Jan. 31, the longest in the league this season. Matthew Phillips, Forward (Calgary Wranglers): A 2016 draft pick by his hometown Calgary Flames, Matthew Phillips has set career highs across the board for the second year in a row, recording 36 goals (tied for the AHL lead), 39 assists, 75 points and a plus-17 rating in 64 games for the Wranglers. The fifth-year pro has also tied an all-time AHL mark with 15 game-winning tallies, helping Calgary to a league-best 50 victories and the best record ever for a Flames AHL affiliate. The AHL Player of the Month for November also skated in his first AHL All-Star Classic. 2022-23 AHL Second All-Star Team
Tumblr media
Joel Hofer, Goaltender (Springfield Thunderbirds): Joel Hofer earns a Second Team AHL All-Star nod on the strength of a 25-15-5 record, a 2.57 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in 45 appearances for Springfield this season. Hofer is also tied for second in the league with four shutouts, and ranks third in minutes played (2,660) and shots faced (1,283) while helping the Thunderbirds to their second straight trip to the Calder Cup Playoffs. A 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Man., Hofer has also played six games this season with the St. Louis Blues, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Lucas Carlsson, Defenseman (Charlotte Checkers): Lucas Carlsson ranks second among AHL defensemen in scoring with 52 points (19 goals, 33 assists) in 60 games heading into the final weekend of the regular season for Charlotte. Carlsson’s goal, assist and point totals all represent career highs for the native of Gavle, Sweden, who is in his fifth season of pro hockey in North America. The 25-year-old blueliner also owns a team-best plus-24 rating, and has chipped in three power-play goals and one shorthanded marker as well. Brogan Rafferty, Defenseman (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A Second Team All-Star as a rookie in 2019-20, Brogan Rafferty secures his second career selection this season as he sits tied for third among AHL defensemen in scoring with 51 points in 70 games for Coachella Valley. The fourth-year pro from West Dundee, Ill., is also tied for second among blueliners with 42 assists, and ranks third among all AHL skaters with a plus/minus rating of plus-31. The Quinnipiac University product joined the Seattle Kraken as a free agent on July 13, 2022. Trey Fix-Wolansky, Forward (Cleveland Monsters): Trey Fix-Wolansky has carried the Cleveland offense all season, pacing the team with 29 goals and 41 assists in 58 games played to tie the franchise single-season record with 70 points. The 23-year-old native of Edmonton, Alta., has scored 11 times and added 19 assists with the man advantage, figuring in on the scoring of nearly half of Cleveland’s 61 power-play goals this season. Fix-Wolansky, a seventh-round pick by Columbus in the 2018 NHL Draft, has also skated in nine NHL games with the Blue Jackets in 2022-23. Max McCormick, Forward (Coachella Valley Firebirds): A ninth-year pro from De Pere, Wis., Max McCormick had already set career scoring highs by the All-Star break, when he represented Coachella Valley at the AHL’s midseason showcase in Laval. He has continued his standout season through the second half and has amassed 28 goals and 39 assists for 67 points along with a plus-17 rating in 69 games for the Firebirds entering the final weekend of the regular season. A 2011 draft pick by Ottawa, McCormick is in his second season with the Seattle Kraken organization. T.J. Tynan, Forward (Ontario Reign): T.J. Tynan earns his third consecutive postseason All-Star Team selection, having recorded 71 assists and 79 points in 70 games for Ontario in 2022-23. The AHL’s MVP in both 2020-21 and 2021-22, Tynan is just the fourth player in league history to record at least 70 assists in back-to-back seasons, and will join Art Stratton (four times) as the only AHL players ever to lead the league in assists on three separate occasions. The AHL Player of the Month for January also participated in his fourth career AHL All-Star Classic this winter. AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE HOME Read the full article

MERCILESS “The Awakening”, LP 1989 (One of the most legendary and ultimate Death/Thrash Metal album spawned from Scandinavia. Total Cult !)
“No more pain, my birth's no longer denied I'm your god, obey me or die Light of the sun, at last I am free Born with vengeance, I'm your destiny In my dreams wall of despair In my mind I knew it's nothing there You'll pay for all my suffering and pain Soon I will rule this earthly domain Hate is the only word I know And my heart's black and so cold The awakening Lonely I am, that's the way it's gonna be When you're mine, you're mine for eternity Now your soul belongs to me So down on your fucking knees I'll take your soul into the dark Seas of blood from your bleeding heart Now this fuckin' world is mine As you know I will never die”

Merciless is an extreme metal band with influence from groups such as Sodom, Kreator, and Bathory.
Founded in the summer of 1986 in Sweden, the band consisted of guitarist Erik Wahlin, Frederik Karlen, (bass) and Stefan Carlsson (drums).
The band was known as "Obsessed" and "Black Mass" for a few live gigs, before officially changing their name to Merciless in 1987. In July, Merciless released their first demo titled "Behind the Black Door," which led to a change in vocalists.
In 1988, a second demo, titled "Realm of the Dark" was released, and caught the attention of Deathlike Silence Productions, which was a record label ran and owned by Mayhem's Euronymous.
This led to the release of the band's debut album, "The Awakening" in March 1990.
Merciless recorded their second album, "The Treasures Within" in 1991. However, due to mismanagement, this album would not be released until the following year, in 1992.
Their third album, "Unbound" was released in 1994. This would be the same year that Merciless would split up, before reuniting again in 1999. They released one more album in 2002, simply called "Merciless."
They are still active to this day.

NHL Expansion Draft 2021: Full list of players available for Seattle Kraken
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The NHL announced the protected lists for the 30 teams involved in the NHL Expansion Draft. (Vegas is exempt.) With the names of those protected come the guys who could be snatched up by the Seattle Kraken. There are a number of big names that have everyone trying to figure out just what general manager Ron Francis will do. Will he take Canadiens netminder, and future Hall of Famer, Carey Price and his hefty cap hit? Is Vladimir Tarasenko the sniper he needs or is his health a big question mark? There's also a number of guys who would fit in nicely but are free agents and the chances of signing them are not high (i.e. Alex Ovechkin).  EXPANSION DRAFT: Date, time, rules & more for Seattle Kraken team selectionRegardless of what Francis, coach Dave Hakstrol and Co. end up doing, there's a good chance the Kraken will be a playoff contender in just their first season. For now, let the intrigue and the guessing WWRFD (that's: what will Ron Francis do?) begin. Here's a look at every player they can pick.

Extras try their hand at acting in filming of TV show Eagles
This is a translation of an Östra Småland article which contains some new information about season 2. It features a general description of a scene that will be in the second season and some very light spoilers.
Tumblr media
Some dream of becoming actors, others are more interested in knowing what goes on behind the scenes. We've met some of the teenagers who are involved as extras in the filming of the TV show Eagles' second season. "It's my first TV recording," says 16 year old Ida Carlsson.
There's an end of the year party at the Kroon house. Ludde, Amie, and Klara are all there. And Elias and Felicia of course, who live in the grand villa with a swimming pool and view of the sea. And a big amount of other party hungry teenagers who want to celebrate that the year is finally over. But everything isn't sunshine and rainbows.
- There's a lot of drama and conflicts at the party, says Stefan H. Lindén, Eagles' creator and producer.
The filming of the party, which will happen later in the second season of the TV show, will occur during two nights - which meant working until 2AM for actors, extras, and the filming crew. So far, almost everything has gone according to plan.
- Yeah, the only thing we weren't counting on yesterday was the rain, says producer Alexandra Thönnersten right before the second filming night is about to begin.
Stefan H. Lindén says they solved the situation by writing the rain into the script.
- I'm feeling incredibly happy with the script we've written. We left season 1 with an unraveling, and it's been fun to try and solve all the conflicts and relationships.
About a month ago, they filmed hockey scenes in Be-Ge Hockey Center with hundreds of extras in the audience. A lot of extras are also needed to film the party scene in the villa on Ovädersleden in Saltvik.
- We had about 50 extras yesterday and we’ll have 30-40 extras today, says Stefan H. Lindén.
- It feels like people know what we are doing now and are hyped to take part, which we are very excited about.
Four of the extras at the party are Tom Ekberg, Gustav Holm, Ida Carlsson and Abdullah Al-Naser. Tom Ekberg and Gustav Holm already appeared a little in the first season.
- One of the characters had a party at my house, says Tom Ekberg, who has no direct plans to become an actor in the future.
- I think it's fun to take part and see how it works "behind the scenes". Being part of and filming a show in Oskarshamn is very big.
Gustav Holm, on the other hand, is aiming for a future in the industry.
- I’m in my second year of high school and I’ve wanted to be an actor since I went to primary school, he says.
Tom and Gustav hope that they will appear a little more in the second season.
- Everybody in the TV team is very good and the actors are doing well. When the actors have breaks, they come out and mingle with us. They are nice people, says Tom Ekberg.
Ida Carlsson has traveled to Oskarshamn from Jönköping to be an extra in Eagles. She has previously been in several musicals in Jönköping and Eksjö.
- This is my first television recording, says Ida Carlsson, who thinks it’s fun to act as a party attendee.
- I've been in dance scenes and I’ve also had to react to a fight.
Even for Kalmar resident Abdullah Al-Naser, the Eagles filming is a fun and different experience.
- It's pretty much what I expected, but I'm not used to mimicking things without sound and dancing without music, he says.
Eagles had high viewership figures when the first season aired on SVT Play this spring. The show attracted many fans both in Sweden and in other countries. For the young actors, the success has attracted a lot of attention.
- I’m noticing that many have seen the show, which is really fun, says Edvard Olsson, who plays the talented hockey player Elias.
He says he has not received any negative comments.
- People are nice to me.
Of course, many are curious about what will happen in the new episodes. A new season gives the opportunity to develop the characters and give a spin on what happened in the first season.
- We can promise both big and small events, says Stefan H. Lindén secretly.
In addition to drama and conflicts, hockey and love are important elements in the new season.
- My character gets a bigger role, says Edvard Olsson, who tells us that he’s in more scenes and has more lines than he did in the first season.
- For me, it means more pressure and it’s more demanding, but I find it very fun.
Filming in fall lasts for a total of six weeks in Oskarshamn and two weeks in other locations - more specifically in Karlskrona and Stockholm. Just like last time, Oscarsgymnasiet and the ice rink are two of the recording sites in Oskarshamn, but this year they're also filming in apartments and restaurants around the city.
- We’re expanding the world a bit, says Stefan H. Lindén.
Eagles hasn’t filmed in Stockholm before, but this time there were reasons to spend one of the recording weeks in the city.
- In the script, some characters have a clear connection to Stockholm.
What’s the difference between filming in Stockholm and filming in Oskarshamn?
- Above all, it’s very convenient to film in Oskarshamn. The group is more concentrated down here because everyone lives and works here, says Stefan H. Lindén and continues:
- People are kind here and we get a lot of help from the residents. Many people think it’s fun that we’re here, which feels great.
The results of the filming will be shown on SVT Play this spring. The premiere date is not completely decided yet, but there will be a total of ten episodes - two more than in the first season.
- We want to give the fans a good season. That is our biggest goal, says Stefan H. Lindén, who hopes that the second season of Eagles will not be the last.
- For me personally, it's a multi-season concept. My dream is to do at least two more seasons.

(FILMAFFINITY)

Fanny och Alexander åter på Dramaten
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is theater about theater at its best. Wall Street Journal  It’s a lovely theatrical diorama, brimming with craft and intelligence Washington Post
