S2 au where Steve and Nancy break up but Steve gets sp fascinated with Billy the new kid so quickly and obsessively. It doesnt help Billy is being so flirty in basketball practice. He thinks Billy's frustrating but also likes to watch him when he knows Billy doesn't try to be the new Mr Popular and he actually finds that he likes that Billy who is pretty and has a pretty laugh and is smart and funny and likes to help people but pretend he doesnt. And Steve learns Billy likes sweets but doesn't indulge often bc he worries it'll make him fat or umanly. So Steve makes sure to sneak in sweets into Billy's bag and locker whenever he has a chance. Small things like strawberry chocolate or nougat that Max mentioned off handedly Billy enjoys, or Mrs Byers said its the sweets Billy always nicks from the store with the groceries. And Steve starts watching Billy enjoys the little treats and actually smile when he sees them and uh oh, Steve likes his smile it turns out. And Billy starts leaving notes in his lockers, starting with a charming "Fuck off, stalker" and then Steve leaves the treats with cute messages like "Have a fantastic day!! :)) - Yours, Stalker" and Billy jist knows him as Stalker for a few months, until Valentines Day where Steve confesses with a box of Billy's fave chocolates

Once Eddie has his tender claws in him and Billy is out of his life, he sends Billy lewd pictures of Steve all blissed out and happy looking covered in his come and hickeys. Or maybe pics DURING the act. Steve would be kneeling in front of him, sucking his dick and being all like "you're not gonna show anyone right? 🥺" "of course not, Stevie 😊" but he sends them right to his pos ex.

Okay so this probably isn't EXACTLY what you pictured, it's more character study than plot, but... It's really fuckin' soft.

There are many historical Omegan stereotypes that Steve fights tooth-and-nail to disprove on a daily basis. He isn’t dainty, he’s only polite in certain company, he isn’t soft spoken, and he doesn’t simply agree to things for the sake of a peaceful environment. He has the scars and long-healed fractures to prove his physical ferocity, too. 

But there’s one aspect of his nature that he no longer tries to overcome. He doesn’t spend unnecessary energy trying to hide or ignore his caretaker’s instincts, not after what happened at the junkyard.

Steve loves taking care of people. Lucas sprained his ankle during a preseason basketball practice game in eighth grade and his ‘babysitter’ did such a good job keeping him in line that he was back on the court three days earlier than the doctor predicted. It’s a talent the Omega is proud of. He’s really good at making people feel better.

Billy, unfortunately, is not used to being taken care of. He’s always protecting Max (and Steve, though he constantly refutes it to his boyfriend’s face). He’s always working himself to the bone at the pool or apprenticing for a local mechanic to pay for new clothes. Or gifts and dates for Steve. The Alpha has always been a giver and a protector. 

So when he gets sick with a highly contagious Alpha-specific virus in the early autumn and can’t go to school for an entire week, he resigns himself to pushing through it like he usually does. 

But now he has Steve at his side, and Steve makes a world of difference. 

Bowls of warm, delicious homemade soup are pushed into Billy’s hands twice a day, always a different flavor and always fresh. He’s given either oatmeal or toast for breakfast, with tea and fruit if the first half doesn’t upset his stomach. Steve watches him eat and wipes at the corners of his mouth with a napkin – not with an air of disapproval that makes Billy feel infantilized, but with a tender attentiveness that melts the Alpha to his core.

“I love you, but I don’t love finding food in your mustache,” the Omega jokes.

Steve fucking dotes on him all week long. His boyfriend waits on him hand and foot like Billy is some kind of spoiled fairy-tale prince. It’s… It’s really fucking nice, actually, and Billy has no clue how to deal with that realization. 

The realization that he doesn’t have to suffer his way through life, hurting and alone. Not anymore. 

He thanks Steve for every little favor, desperate to communicate just how much he appreciates the kind treatment. Steve’s gentle hands. Billy has to make his boyfriend understand that he’ll do anything for him. He’ll complete whatever task is set to him.

He’ll do everything in his power to make Steve happy, too.

overboard joanna/annie (goldie hawn) - steve it’s short for steven/stephen (???). has some unpleasant wife who mooches off his money and probably wants to kill him a lil. wearing flashy fashion and serving cunt while on his yacht. kind of a brat but also a total homemaker once he learns what an oven is or whatever.  dean (kurt russell) - eddie!! overworked underpaid sexy titties out in a lil tanktop hardworking guy with a flair for the creative. collects lil lost sheep flock of kids but is often not super responsible about it. perfectly happy to be a lil morally flexible and essentially kidnap steve as karmic justice but then also fall in love with him.  the kids - dustin, obviously!!! max another good candidate. honestly why not do just the whole gang??? lucas and mike and will and el. them alternately punking steve super hard in the start and then being like “no don’t take away our steve that’s our mom 🥺” by the end. are they foster kids?? is eddie running some sort of summer camp for them instead of their actual parent??? i let you all take it from here but i trust there’s a good solution  that one mean teacher - principal higgins obvs. judges eddie and gets put in his place by steve.  grant (edward hermann) - could be an oc, could be maybe carol??? you could do nancy if you’re a nancy hater. omg. you could do billy. actually billy would kind of be great here.

What about Steve having no concept of money to some degree until he works at Scoops (and finds out working customer service doesn't cut it) but before that he thinks nothing of paying for everything. And I mean everything. Dates, gas, condoms, lube, food, hair products. You name it, Steve will buy it for them or Billy but the thing that sort of irritates Billy the most is the fixing thing.

If the Camaro has a problem? Steve hands over the cash or just straight up buys the parts for Billy. Steve's parents thinking its for the Beamer just hand over the money and its not a problem. Billy, however, feels like he's using Steve for money but he isn't even doing it on purpose.

Not that he can afford all these things anyway even if he wanted to. That is until summer rolls around and lifeguard wages are waaay more than ice cream scooping ones so all of a sudden Billy has to pay for everything.

They end up in a competition of who can spoil the other until they're broke and date night ends up being a beer and quickie in Steve's basement. Romantic end to their relentless spending on eachother and this never stops. They tone it down, budget what they can spend but they never stop buying little gifts or fixing things that need fixing.

Both of them know what they're doing and eventually it becomes an inside joke that they never dare to end.

12, am I setting something up yes yes I’m Beast right now it’s getting to the close where I’m going to have a ✨reveal✨and I’m trying my best to build tension. The struggle with building towards something tho is that when you finally write the “moment” my self sabotage tells me it’s not good enough for what’s been promised. I struggled with this during the waltz scene in Beast as well. The lovely comments on Ao3 really helped me pull though tho!!! 🖤🖤

Without spoiling anything … I do have another fight scene that’s going to let Steve and billy process how they feel about each other. Or rather—test it 😽

And 5, the next moment I need to write that’s going to be interesting is the Ronance reunion. It not for a while but Robin has been missing Nancy while she’s out robbing castles and playing match maker so it’s going to be very fun writing them getting to be together again 😻

- Okay, first of off,,, I think that when Billy’s trying to find out his gender identity he really questions if he hates being treated like a woman because he’s not a woman, or if he hates being treated like a woman because of the way guys treat him because he’s a woman. And I think he struggles with that for a long time, like a long time, I’m talking all through middle school and some of high school before he moves to Hawkins. He dressed more masculine in middle school and guy laughed at him and made fun of him because he wasn’t into make up and all of that jazz like the other girls. Then, when he went into high school he tried dressing up and making himself presentable to men and he hated that even more because men treated him like an object, like a piece of meat. It isn’t until he moves to Hawkins and meets Steve is it that he realizes he’s a trans man because he looks at Steve who’s all goofy and sweet and cool and he does feel attracted to him, but he also feels something new, something more along the lines of ‘You’re cute, but also give me your gender.’ But it’s even longer until he starts transitioning. (With Steve’s help and full support ofc, also Robin’s, also Max’s, and he learns that a lot more people care about him than he thinks.)

- Steve’s known he was a boy since the second he was given a Barbie for Christmas when he was 4 and his cousin was given a bright yellow Tonka truck. He had never liked things traditionally made for girls, in fact when he got to age 8 he came to hate things like dresses and the color pink, things like the beautiful bows his mother would pin in his hair and the chunky Mary Janes he was made to wear to church every Sunday. He had always expressed his distaste for these thing in the form of whining and throwing when they were presented to him, but his parents just took it as him being a spoiled brat, not a boy. At ten is when he finally yells it out, his true feelings at dinner when his mother and his grandmother are talking over which dress would be most fitting for his confirmation at church. He’s had enough of pretending to be someone he’s not, of living a lie and it just comes out. His father calls him out of his mind and his mother calls it a phase. He gets sent to his room immeasurably without finishing dinner. But, of course, it’s not a phase, as Steve gets older and earns more freedom he only becomes more insistent and sure that he’s not a girl. At 12 he cuts his hair with a pair of kitchen scissors. His mom cries and his dad‘s eyes a disappointment so familiar and yet so oddly foreign. Fifteen is when he finally starts transitioning, first in secret, in any way he can, and then with proper medical care. It’s not exactly by his family’s will, actually not at all. It’s all an act, all for his father to appear more liberal and reach a wider clientel, but Steve takes what he can get.

Now to answer your questions, the Bloodshot au is a fic I'm currently working on! Was thinking of writing it completely before I started posting and it's currently got 3 chapters done out of my planned 8 chapters for this.

I don't want to spoil much (or at least much more than I already have 😅) but keep in mind that if the demos naturally live in the Upside Down, their main source of food can't be humans right? Humans aren't native to the Upside Down. So there's got to be something in humans that fits the demos criteria for prey right?

When given the chance, that boy will eat cookies for breakfast if no one is there to see it, and he can finish a whole pan of brownies by himself. He and Steve can DEFINITELY finish one between them, and they DO, too, when Billy’s been baking them. :p

Also while Billy makes brownies and Steve makes everything else - they both lick the bowl, after baking. And Steve will give Billy the bowl and whisk and a spoon to lick while he finishes off baking, to make him sit down and shut up for a while. It, amazingly, works.

Because Billy is an irredeemable POS so him considering cheating at the party was upsetting but I wasn't deeply affected by it because they're going to break up...But Eddie messing with other people while with Steve? That would hurt too much 😔. Sorry if this is weird, infidelity is just a difficult thing for me to read in fics.

I really don't want to spoil too much of the plot because there's a lot coming up and it'll be a very complicated, intense & unhealthy dynamic between Eddie and Steve, as I'm sure you can imagine from the events of the past chapter, but I can say that no, infidelity won't be an issue or a plot point between these two. Eddie has cheated on partners in the past, but he's completely obsessed with Steve and wouldn't dream of doing something like that to him, if anything other people bore him. I hope that helps <3
