Good Trouble by stormverine
Sometimes crossing paths takes a little pain.
It was just another night out without her long-term boyfriend for Alina Starkov.
Dancing the night away, she pays no attention to Malyen Oretsev, whose nickname is without a doubt 'life of the party'.
All it takes for the evening to take a turn are a few drinks and Alina fighting her boyfriend's other girlfriend... Zoya Nazyalensky. Malyen is the girl coming between the two to keep them from breaking teeth.
Crazy how suddenly heartbreak comes knocking at your door... And so does fate.
In which Mal and Alina end up sitting in a bathroom at a party, discussing their mutual misery.

Things I want from X-men 97.
Jubilee to kick more ass, I know she was a kid but she actually can dish it out.
LITERALLY any hint of Stormverine, just saw the "One Man's Worth" two-parter and now I have a YEARNING.
MORPH to kick some ass, now they were LITERALLY the only Mutant to not join the team to make SENSE(you get back here RIGHT NOW Iceman) but come ooooooooooon-THEY CAN COPY POWERS! No WONDER the X-men cried about their death, they were the GOAT.
Magneto's more banevolent side which they continued to show throughout the series, as LET'S get real here, Magneto works best as either an anti-hero or an anti-villain.
Uh...I dunno, Spider-man cameo? That'd be fun, NINETIES SPIDER-MAN for the win!
Either way, hope its good!

Can you suggest issues with Storm and Wolverines relationship even before they were a couple? Like the one you guys recently posted about. Thank you!
I bolded issue number starting points for the different runs I recommended.
Australian outback era of Uncanny X-Men has a lot of the building blocks of what became their romantic relationship eventually in it so I’d highly recommend checking out that. I’m doing this off the top of my head while on my phone so I might be one or two issues off but I believe that era started around Uncanny X-Men #228 and ends near Uncanny X-Men #250 ish (this I’m less positive on for an exact issue number). Before the outback era Logan and Ororo had a mutual respect relationship that occasionally went deeper but, in my personal opinion, the first time you truly get a feel of what could become a real romantic relationship is in the outback era. The panels in the previous ask were from that era.
Chris Claremont’s second Uncanny run which starts on Uncanny X-Men #444 and continues until Uncanny X-Men 473 is also good. I’d highlight Uncanny X-Men #470 specifically from that run because it has one of my all time favorite Logan/Ororo moments. [Check out our modspick tag for more of those moments]
Chris Claremont’s X-Treme X-Men series (the one from 2001) has a lot of solid moments for Logan/Ororo pre romance.
If you really really want to read hundreds of back issues of Logan and Ororo from when they first meet on you can always start with Giant Size X-Men #1 (and then the follow up in Uncanny X-Men 94 and on) which is when the characters first showed up as X-Men members. But that’s a lot.
[I work in a comic book store so feel free to hit us up for issue recommendations because that’s what I’m good for - Joan]

Just Re-watched the X-Men Evolution episode "African Storm" & realized something about Wolverine's scenes in it.
If you saw this post earlier, that was my bad, posted it by accident
We all know the scene when Ororo wakes up screaming and Logan comes running into her room. Still so very great. No words, just immediate action!
As he goes to her balcony, the claws are OUT! He's ready to attack anyone who caused her distress.
After Logan sees noting and responds with such to Charles, he reassures Kitty that everything's fine (which he would regret later).
When Storm is taken by Hungan and the other tribesmen, Wolverine decides to not wait for the others after getting her location, despite Evan (mostly likely) telling them that there was more the one person involved from what he saw. Going in alone is NOT the move, my guy! He REALLY wanted to get Ororo back!!
This decision leads to him to nearly attacking Nerombo, who tried to help Storm. Logan, we know you wanna save her, just calm down abit!
After everyone starts getting active in battle, Wolverine leads Spyke to the small box Storm was trapped in. After rushing to it, they don't see her in there.
This of course has Wolverine LIVID! When Hungan says they're too late, he let's out such a loud scream before rushing up to where Hungan is...
Only to get up there and IMMEDIATELY ease up when he sees Storm! My guy, GET READY TO DODGE!
This man really just stood there with his mouth open as she CHARGED AN ATTACK! While she was still flying up, he could've moved out the way, but NOPE! Just stare at the Wonderful Weather Witch!
Then he gets blasted by lightning and takes massive fall damage! Shouldn't have been gawking my guy
Basically, after being unable to protect Ororo and dismissing the then unknown situation, Logan tries his hardest to save her and make up for that.
