DON'T LOOK DUMB
A reader-centred approach to 'Don’t Look Up', a movie that predicted American future with Trump as their president.
Tumblr media
Adam McKay’s 2021 provocative scientific comedy, Don’t Look Up, is a satirical depiction of American politics in the event of an apocalyptic scenario. The film follows an astronomy student (Kate) and her professor (Dr Mindy) as they make a shocking discovery: a comet that is directed towards Earth. The complication that drives the story is that no one seems to care. The two, with help from Dr. Oglethorpe, begin a media tour that begins with an indifferent President (Orlean), then an upbeat morning show, which gains attention from the modern social media-obsessed world. A major theme that I noticed portrayed throughout Don’t Look Up was the destructive nature of capitalist greed on human interaction. McKay successfully communicated his conceptualisation of the downfall of humanity using a plethora of devices, including complex characterisation, which invites reader analysis. As I watched, my ethical understanding of the principles underpinning US politics was evoked.
Even though the comedic dramatisation created through political dismay, the director made it impossible to set aside integrity and ‘enjoy’ the movie. The clear allegory between political fiction and reality is explicitly evident in President Orlean’s character.

Another week of resistance, another week of success.
June 21, 2025
Robert B. Hubbell
Jun 20, 2025
[I will host my regular Saturday morning livestream at 9 am PT / Noon ET on June 21, 2025. Open to all on the Substack App on your phone or tablet.]
We lurched to the week’s end with many stories seemingly marking time—an illusion that masks the increasingly unfavorable ratings regarding many of Trump's policies. His cruel policy of using armed thugs to seize productive, peaceful immigrants from workplaces and courthouses has turned popular sentiment against him. (As always, he doesn’t care; those who support him will answer at the ballot box.) MAGA is tearing itself apart over a potential attack on Iran. Red states are waking up to the likelihood that their rural hospitals will close and hundreds of thousands of their residents will lose medical coverage.
The resistance is making a difference, even when it may feel unsuccessful in the short term.
For example, on Thursday, ICE agents attempted to raid Dodger Stadium. The gun-toting, masked agents were turned away at the gates by LAPD. Until that provocation, the Dodgers had remained silent about the military occupation of LA and the militarized ICE raids. On Friday, the Dodgers announced that the organization would contribute $1 million to support immigrant families affected by the ICE raids. See KTLA, L.A. Dodgers pledge $1 million to support immigrant communities after ICE raid backlash.
Approximately 40% of the Dodgers’ fan base is Hispanic. I wish that the Dodgers acted out of concern for the families of their fans, but the sad truth is that the Dodgers were forced to take action by a coalition of Latino organizations. Those organizations--Little Latin America USA, California Rising, El Salvador Corridor Association, CD1 Coalition, and the L.A. Youth & Family Foundation--held a press conference in front of Dodger Stadium earlier this week, demanding that the Dodgers act. The team responded to the pressure.
The Dodger example shows the way forward. Corporations are nervously monitoring events—especially those events that affect their bottom lines. A boycott of Dodger home games by a Latino community fearful of ICE raids would quickly impair the value of the franchise. Just ask Tesla. And Target. And Elon Musk.
Trump knows he is losing the battle for the hearts and minds of the American people, especially in Los Angeles. Trump sent Vice President J.D. Vance to Los Angeles in hopes of creating raw meat to feed to the grumpy base. Vance failed spectacularly.
Vance is under the misimpression that he has a sense of humor and can tell jokes. He tried to make fun of the arrest of US Senator Alex Padilla for asking a question to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem. But Vance referred to Senator Alex Padilla as “Jose Padilla,” because in Vance’s bigoted mind, all Latino males are named “Jose.”
Senator Alex Padilla is an accomplished person of dignity and integrity who is highly regarded by most Californians. Insulting Senator Padilla by resorting to a racist trope will accelerate Trump's unfavorability in the Latino community in California and nationwide.
Equally bad for Vance (and Trump) is Vance’s statement that “[t]he “rioting has gotten a lot better” in Los Angeles since Trump sent in federal troops. Of course, ten million Angelenos can tell you that there is no rioting and hasn’t been for more than a week. Even then, “rioting” is a false characterization of peaceful protests where a few bad actors engaged in a handful of acts of violence and vandalism.
Speaking of “a handful of acts of violence and vandalism,” a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the order of Judge Breyer, holding that Trump must relinquish control of the California National Guard to California Governor Gavin Newsom.
In reversing Judge Breyer’s ruling, the three-judge panel ruled that a handful of acts of violence and vandalism constituted the inability of the president to “execute the laws,” justifying the federalization of National Guard troops.
The standard adopted by the three-judge panel is preposterous. It would allow the president to federalize the National Guard any time a fraternity party resulted in drunk undergraduates throwing beer bottles at police. [That was sarcasm, but just barely. The panel did concede that there was a de minimis limit that would not qualify as “inability to execute the laws.”]
Despite the ruling, there is still reason for hope, as explained in Democracy Docket, Appeals Court Upholds Trump’s Control of California National Guard.
First, the panel acknowledged that the president’s federalization of the National Guard is subject to judicial review. Second, the panel’s ruling related only to the temporary restraining order issued by Judge Breyer, but leaves open the possibility of a different result on a factual record developed on the preliminary injunction hearing—including the possibility that Trump violated the Posse Comitatus Act. Finally, the ruling is subject to review by the Ninth Circuit in an en banc hearing and by the US Supreme Court.

Watching the garbage fire that is the recent MTG developments has really taken the wind out of my sails for Magic. I got in barely over a year ago, fell in love instantly and got super into the proxy community.
My intro to Magic like a lot of people was Rystic Studies. Honestly probably still the most high quality non gameplay videos of Magic out there. Rystic Studies and I have always had very aligned takes and opinions on Magic and recently he posted on Substack and the true weight of the state of Magic hit me. For years people have been saying that Magic is becoming something else, that the game we knew is going away and for the first time I wonder if maybe they were right. Even if just a little.
The gameplay may not be changing but the treatment is, more then ever Magic is a money sink. The integrity is gone. I think the part from the post that stood out to me the most was this line on Pokémon:
“Pokémon, by the way, surpassed Mickey Mouse and became the most valuable media franchise in the history of the world without compromising an ounce of its identity. There are no Space Marines to be found with yellow borders.”
I know this isn’t the end of Magic, not really, and me and my friends can play with the cards we want but that doesn’t mean something hasn’t changed, that something isn’t rotten.
Anyway go read Rystic Studies’s post it’s really well written as always.

Mike Lindell has spent the past four years desperately trying to prove the 2020 election was stolen from president-elect Donald Trump. In the early hours of November 6, attending Trump’s election night watch party, Lindell’s crusade appeared to be at an end when Trump walked on stage to announce his victory.
But that’s not how the infamous pillow salesman saw it.
“I've been trying to get rid of these electronic voting machine companies in the United States for four years,” Lindell tells WIRED. “That's been my whole focus. And that doesn't stop, but hopefully it gets easier.”
For the past four years, Lindell has crisscrossed the country nonstop. He has been doing interviews with anyone who will listen, filing frivolous lawsuits that go nowhere, hosting cyber symposiums filled with disinformation, hiding election deniers running from the law, and spending more than $40 million of his own money to claim that the 2020 election was stolen by the voting machines used in US elections.
Lindell has been an important part of a vast network of local, state, and national groups that coalesced around Trump’s own baseless claim that the 2020 election was stolen. These groups, which communicated on platforms like Telegram and Facebook, have spent countless hours attending online meetings, making bogus challenges to voter lists, and even knocking on doors to expose so-called illegal immigrant voting schemes.
Lindell, along with others around the US, has helped lead the movement, pushing bogus conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, spreading racist claims about illegal immigrants, and priming followers to reject any result other than a Trump victory. And yet, despite the fact that they got exactly what they want, many show no signs of stopping now.
When WIRED spoke to Lindell last week, he was in California working to secure information that he believes will ultimately show voter fraud in down-ballot races in the state.
“I haven't taken a break,” says Lindell. “After the election, I went on my annual hunting trip with my sons and my nephew. That was two days, but I was actually working from the deer stand. I'm always working on my phone.”
Some election deniers are even pitching for roles within the new administration—including Lindell.
To WIRED, Lindell suggested the establishment of a “bureau that’s really focused on keeping our elections secure.” When asked whether he would run such a bureau, Lindell says, “Oh, absolutely, my team would plug right in.”
Of course, there is already a bureau that secures US elections: the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, whose director, Jen Easterly, said in a November 6 statement that there was “no evidence of any malicious activity that had a material impact on the security or integrity of our election infrastructure.” Easterly has announced that she will be leaving her position on the first day of Trump’s new administration.
But Lindell could have some competition for the role of election czar, as other figures who used the election denial movement to carve out lucrative careers seek to cash in on that fame.
“If I may be so direct, I request consideration to be appointed in a special capacity to pursue electoral reform as part of your administration,” Seth Keshel, a well-known election conspiracist whose Substack newsletter has almost 30,000 subscribers, wrote in a letter he sent to Trump last week. “My research into electoral corruption would pair well with the efforts of your Attorney General to identify and pursue remediation into corrupt election procedures that render over 200 electoral votes non-competitive, including corruption I have identified even in your 2024 election victory that cost our coalition of America First candidates many down ballot races.”
In recent days, speculation on X suggested that Patrick Byrne, former Overstock CEO and another major funder of the election denial movement, was willing to join Trump’s new administration as head of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Byrne clarified the situation on Sunday, writing on X: “I would do it if I were asked,” while adding: “I will not be asked. 47 and I are not close.”
In the immediate aftermath of Trump’s victory, it did appear as if some election deniers were done: “Time for me to go look for a job, put in the good word for me,” David Clements, a former business law teacher at New Mexico State University who became an election denial superstar, wrote on his hugely popular Telegram channel.
But now, the election denial movement has picked up where it left off prior to the election, pushing baseless conspiracy theories despite Trump’s victory. In many cases, as Keshel outlined in his letter, they believe that while the presidential election was run properly, many down-ballot races where Republicans did not win were likely fraudulent.
Within days of the election, Clements was back on the horse, pushing conspiracies about down-ballot election results, including the one Lindell says he is investigating in California.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think election conspiracy theorists are packing up and going home,” Brendan Fischer, deputy executive director at Documented, tells WIRED. “Election conspiracists have built an enduring infrastructure, and in the months to come, the ‘election fraud’ narrative will reemerge and be used to justify restrictive new voting laws, and to lay the groundwork to challenge future elections that MAGA Republicans might lose.”
Clements has also been championing the case of another election denier, Tina Peters, a former Colorado election official who was jailed last month for tampering with voting machines.
Being incarcerated has not stopped Peters from continuing to push election denial conspiracies. This week, clips from a video interview posted on X show Peters pushing more conspiracies about the 2020 and 2024 elections while wearing an orange jumpsuit.
One election denial Telegram channel, known as Election Education, decided to let its followers decide on what the future holds, posting a survey entitled “What Next?” The first option—“it’s time to move on”—got just 1 percent of the vote. Far and away the biggest response—76 percent—was for the option “I’m in this for the long haul. Lots of work to do.”
Recently, the election denial movement has latched onto the race of GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake, who was among the loudest voices pushing election conspiracy theories in recent years. Lake lost to Democrat Ruben Gallego last week.
While Lake posted a video accepting her loss last week, that hasn’t stopped the election denial movement from claiming the vote was rigged.
“There was all kinds of fraud that was done in this last election,” Lindell said. “Right now they're trying to steal down-ticket [races]. Kari Lake in Arizona, that's blatant, it's so blatant.”
Right-wing pundit Dinesh D’Souza, whose disproven conspiracy film 2000 Mules helped supercharge claims of election fraud around the 2020 election, has also been pushing similar claims. In a video posted on X last week, D’Souza said: “I refuse to believe [the result], that makes no sense at all,” before adding that while there is no evidence of cheating, he is still demanding a recount.
A week after the election, the Election Integrity Network, a well-funded group that has been at the forefront of the election denial movement, hosted a meeting to discuss next steps. It was attended by almost 200 members.
“The red wave came in on very slim margins, so it is very important that we keep in mind during our celebratory times, that we have a lot more work to do,” Kerri Toloczko, the executive director of the group, said during the meeting, according to a recording reviewed by WIRED. She then added that the group needs to focus on elections in the future, including the 2026 midterms, while warning about vague election fraud conspiracies.
“Obviously, we’re not going away,” said Toloczko. “We have new elections coming up. Virginia has one every year. We've got the midterms. New elections [mean] new games. We don't know what they're playing at yet, but I guarantee you they'll be playing at something. So we need to figure out what that is.”
The group’s founder, former Trump adviser Cleta Mitchell, continued to push the baseless claim that a flood of illegal immigrants were voting in US elections, when that figure has been shown to be vanishingly small. She said the group “had a lot of work to do” on the issue and she “hoped the incoming administration will take it seriously.”
While Mitchell and Election Integrity Network haven't stopped, some groups in the election denial movement are pausing to reassess and see what’s next for them.
Catherine Engelbrecht, the cofounder of True the Vote, one of the most prominent election denial groups that has organized drop box monitoring and large-scale voter challenges, said last week that she was going on “a brief hiatus.”
“Our focus is shifting toward supporting grassroots organizations in building local influence and advocating for common-sense reforms,” Engelbrecht wrote in her channel on the fringe platform Locals.
For Lindell, who approaches election denial with the fervor of a religious zealot, the idea of stopping now is not something that has ever crossed his mind, even if his efforts have left him with no money and huge legal bills.
“I have to [keep going], or we lose our country,” says Lindell, adding that if he has to borrow money to continue funding his efforts, he will. “I wouldn't trust any election done with computers ever. I will never stop until we get the paper ballot, hands counted.”

[ID: Screenshot of an Instagram post by @/SeekWithSer. The location reads, “Haut-Karabagh.” The title reads, “WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE ETHNIC ARMENIANS IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH IS A RESULT OF THE WEST'S APATHY TOWARD S.W.A.N.A REGIONS.” The users Substack article is mentioned at the bottom, titled “Uncomfortable Truth: Breaking the wall of silence, indifference, and apathy.”
Slide 2 reads: I'LL NEVER FORGET WHAT SOMEONE (A WHITE PERSON) SAID WHEN I MENTIONED THE 2020 WAR IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH.
"ISN'T THERE ALWAYS CHAOS IN THOSE AREAS? IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, THOSE PLACES ARE ALWAYS INFESTED WITH WAR AND DESTRUCTION."
This statement stuck with me because it represented the general apathy, indifference, and willful ignorance of the West toward countries we can't point to on the map whose names we can't pronounce.
And yet. AND YET. What we fail to realize (or conveniently ignore) is that our tax dollars are one of the most significant contributors to political and economic instability and PEACE in "those places."
Slide 3 reads: WHILE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT BANKROLLS GENOCIDES AGAINST WEST ASIAN MINORITIES, ETHNIC COMMUNITIES CONTINUE TO BE GASLIT AND TOLD TO BE GRATEFUL FOR U.S. INTERVENTION.
For example, Armenians are expected to be grateful to the U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide despite continuing to aid Azerbaijan in their genocidal efforts and ethnic cleansing of our ancestral lands.
For example, Afghans are expected to credit American soldiers for fighting terrorism in Afghanistan despite the U.S. playing a key role in the Taliban's rise.
IT IS ALL RELATED.
The more we see them as separate issues, the more divided we will become and the more power we hand over to imperialist agendas to continue pillaging ancestral lands and destabilizing SWANA communities.
Slide 4 reads: I'M NOT EXPECTING EVERYONE TO CARE ABOUT GLOBAL HUMAN RIGHTS. THAT IS YOUR PREROGATIVE.
BUT I WILL SPEAK ON BEHALF OF ALL SWANA COMMUNITIES THAT ARE HURT BY THEIR SO-CALLED ALLIES WHO WERE OUTRAGED OVER THE WAR IN UKRAINE BUT WHO CONTINUE TO TURN AWAY IN APATHY TOWARD THE PLIGHT OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.
Do they not deserve the same ounce of respect?
Have we collectively decided that their lives don't matter? Are they not worthy of the same rage and empathy that we've showed to our Eurocentric counterparts?
I IMPLORE us all to look at our hypocrisy. WE ARE COMPLICIT ABOUT THE SAME VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS THAT WE STAND AGAINST.
Slide 5 reads: ALLIES OF INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES NEED TO BREAK THEIR WALL OF SILENCE, INDIFFERENCE, AND APATHY.
WE NEED COLLECTIVE ACTION AGAINST THE DIRE CONSEQUENCES OF COLONIZATION AND INSTITUTIONALIZED TERRORISM NOW.
INDIGENOUS ARMENIANS OF ARTSAKH ARE BEING ETHNICALLY CLEANSED FROM THEIR ANCESTRAL LANDS AS YOU READ THIS AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ATTENTION AND AWARENESS OF THIS HUMANITARIAN CATASTROPHE.
IF THE VALUES OF INTERDEPENDENCE, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU, IGNORING THIS WOULD BE OUT OF INTEGRITY.
Slide 6 is a painting of an Armenian woman with tape across her mouth that reads “terrorist.” At the top, it reads: “seekwithser.substack.com.”

on elon musk and if holding tech companies accountable the way we do nation-states is the fix
this post was originally published on my substack
Elon Musk promised entertainment and a professional, coherent conversation between himself and Donald Trump. Instead, we got technical difficulties and hours of rambling nonsense from two ultimate shitposters who are prime examples of immaturity, toxic masculinity, faux intelligence, and unmitigated main-character syndrome all rolled into one.
It started with technical issues that Musk blamed on a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack, an intentional attempt to bombard a site with traffic to stop it from functioning. Funny how the rest of the social media platform seemed to be working fine.
Forty-five minutes later, Trump and Musk were able to begin. It started with the assassination attempt that the former president survived before diverting to attacks on the US president Joe Biden and vice president Kamala Harris, who is now the Democratic nominee.
The discussion truly proved that interviewing is a skill (one that Musk does not possess). While the two men agreed on issues like the economy, climate change, immigration, and inflation, the conversation was frankly a mess. The context of how this interview came about, along with Musk’s drift into right-wing ideology, shows that while the billionaire didn't create Trump’s resurgence or other right-wing fanaticism around the world, he has amplified and mirrored the movement in a way we've not seen from a Western tech leader before.
Tumblr media
In 2022, Musk said that Trump should "sail into the sunset" and endorsed Ron DeSantis as the Republican presidential nominee. Trump responded by labelling the X owner a "bullshit artist." Two years on, Trump is saying that he “loves” Musk. “We have to make life good for us smart people. And he’s as smart as you get.”
Musk denied reports that he would contribute $45 million a month to a Trump-supporting Super PAC. Still, he actively promotes the former US president through his personal feed and is believed to have influenced his decision to consider JD Vance, a favourite among right-wing tech entrepreneurs, as his running mate – obviously that has worked in his favour.
After acquiring Twitter, Musk stated that "to deserve public trust," the platform must remain "politically neutral." The consensus is that he has failed to follow through on this stance in the US and elsewhere. Instead, he has weaponized his influence by promoting well-known far-right accounts and neglecting moderation.
Musk has fired half of X’s election integrity team, dissolved the trust and safety council, and modified the verification system so that anyone can pay for the visibility it offers. Musk claims to be committed to free speech, but this principle has not been consistently upheld. Case in point: the “White Dudes for Harris” account was briefly suspended and then labelled spam. His influence on the platform is also massive, given his 192 million followers and the rest of us who see his posts after he reportedly instructed engineers to boost his visibility. False or misleading claims Musk has made about the US election have been seen nearly 1.2 billion times and seem exempt from X’s “community notes” fact-checking system.
X isn't a traditional mass media outlet, but it's the go-to platform when major news breaks, serving as a hub where influential people start debates that eventually reach a wider audience. Musk has shown no willingness to adapt to the norms of other countries where his strict free speech ideology may be less accepted than in the US – reinstating Tommy Robinson (one of the UK's most prominent far-right figures) and Andrew Tate (a ‘manosphere’ influencer), both previously banned figures, proves that. Their leverage has become evident in recent weeks, and Musk's own statements following the Southport attack have been among his most provocative in the UK. Before Musk took over, much of the most inflammatory content would likely have been removed, but that kind of moderation no longer happens.
Engaging in a back and forth with the UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, and personally promoting accounts that question the severity of the riots while claiming Muslim agitators go unpunished, Musk has reportedly dismissed requests from the government’s disinformation unit to remove content it believes are instigating violence. Him sharing a post which featured a fake Telegraph story falsely claiming that Starmer is considering building “detainment camps” on the Falkland Islands is extremely troubling. Even more so when the post was viewed two million times before it was quietly removed after realising he fell victim to a dumb misinformation post himself.
The EU filed charges against X last month under the Digital Services Act for disregarding European law and allowing disinformation and illegal hate speech on the platform. If successful, the EU will be able to hit Musk with substantial fines and implement modifications if X wishes to maintain access to European users. But his staggering fortune means he will be able to cover any loss.
This situation can't be allowed to continue unchecked. But how do we address it? Legally, Musk isn’t accountable to anyone. But lies can wreak havoc when they spread. And that spreading now takes seconds thanks to Musk. Can governments treat these powerful tech companies as if they were governments themselves to tackle the issue? After all, some of these companies are larger and more influential than actual nation-states.
However, it’s crucial to remember that private companies and nation-states are fundamentally different. Treating one as if it were the other can lead to very negative outcomes. Nation-states have the power to trade, impose trade barriers like tariffs, control travel, and sign treaties.
The relationship between nation-states and private organizations (or individuals) is also distinct. Governments can levy taxes, impose fines for legal violations, arrest and imprison individuals, and control entry through visas. Their actions have inherently different tools and impacts.
Over the past ten years, when interactions between governments and companies like X spread content that incites violence, typically, these companies agree with the need to curb such content, often because it's in their own interest to do so. The problem that has arisen is the differences in the best approach. The situation is entirely different when a company is owned and operated by someone who is one of the primary spreaders of that very content. It is in the interest of most companies to avoid spreading this type of information because it damages their reputation and discourages advertisers and users from staying on the platform. But not in Musk’s case.
Musk seems to enjoy sparring with governments, as long as they aren't his right-leaning authoritarian buddies. Pushing or threatening him on these issues is likely to result in him portraying himself as a free-speech martyr.
The focus shouldn't be on a standoff between the UK government and Musk but on how to prevent these situations in the first place. How do we educate the public to avoid falling for inflammatory verbiage? How do we ensure that uninformed fits don’t have the far-reaching impact they do today? Musk says he has the right to freedom of speech. Sure, fine, whatever. But that does not mean he should have freedom of reach.
The solution likely lies in creating more spaces for people to speak and connect, so that X or any other platform holds too much power. Large companies should not be treated like nation-states. We should be at the point where no company becomes influential enough to be misperceived for one.
Billionaires like Musk don't buy media companies like Twitter to make money. They do it to spread their divide-and-rule politics and thereby protect their class interest. After his conversation with Trump said he would be happy to do the same with Harris on the platform – a clear act of attempting to appear fair and neutral. Perhaps his time would be better spent trying to get even half of his 11 children to talk to him, rather than persisting in his $44 billion experiment as the world’s disinformer-in-chief.

How Gen Z is Disrupting the Investment Landscape: Social Media, Crypto, and DIY Trading in 2025
In recent years, Gen Z—the digital natives born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s—have taken the financial world by storm. Unlike previous generations, they aren’t waiting to turn 30 before dipping their toes into investing. They’re doing it now—and doing it differently. From meme stocks to cryptocurrencies and TikTok finance gurus, Gen Z is rewriting the rules of investing in real time. In 2025, their influence is more significant than ever, and the investment landscape will never be the same.
The Rise of the Gen Z Investor
What sets Gen Z apart is their digital-first mindset. Having grown up with smartphones, social media, and instant access to information, they are self-directed, informed, and bold. They’re not relying on traditional financial advisors—they’re making investment decisions based on YouTube explainers, Twitter threads, and Substack newsletters.
According to a 2024 report by Charles Schwab, over 60% of Gen Z investors in the U.S. and India started investing before the age of 21. This is a stark contrast to millennials and Gen X, who typically began investing much later.
Social Media as a Financial Classroom
From TikTok finance influencers to Instagram reels breaking down the basics of stock market investing, social media is the new financial literacy hub for Gen Z. In India, creators like @FinfluencerIndia and @StockSikh have racked up millions of views with quick, digestible tips on personal finance and investing.
However, this trend isn’t without risks. The abundance of unregulated advice has also led to uninformed decision-making, highlighting the need for structured financial education alongside digital content.
Meme Stocks and Virality-Driven Investing
Gen Z investors played a central role in turning stocks like GameStop and AMC into viral sensations. In India, Zomato, Paytm, and Nykaa IPOs saw major buzz on Reddit and YouTube, driving massive youth participation.
This trend—called virality-driven investing—is based on collective sentiment, not traditional valuation. It’s high-risk, high-reward, and reflective of Gen Z’s appetite for quick wins and bold plays.
Crypto: A Parallel Financial Universe
Gen Z is also the most crypto-savvy generation. They see digital assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana not just as investment opportunities but as components of a new financial system.
In India, despite regulatory uncertainty, youth adoption of crypto remains strong. Platforms like CoinDCX, WazirX, and Binance report that over 60% of their users are under 30. The appeal lies in decentralization, accessibility, and the potential for outsized returns.
DIY Trading Platforms: Empowering the Individual Investor
Traditional brokerages are making way for slick, app-based platforms like Zerodha, Upstox, Groww, and INDmoney. These tools have made investing as easy as ordering food online.
Gen Z prefers platforms that are:
Mobile-first
Low or zero commission
Gamified and user-friendly
They love features like real-time alerts, auto-invest options, and community forums. This DIY spirit aligns with their broader ethos of self-reliance and transparency.
ESG and Impact Investing: Profits with a Purpose
Beyond chasing profits, Gen Z is also deeply committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. They are drawn to companies that support sustainability, diversity, and ethical governance.
A study by Morgan Stanley shows that over 85% of Gen Z investors are interested in sustainable investing. Mutual funds, ETFs, and stocks with strong ESG credentials are seeing inflows from this demographic.
What This Means for the Future of Finance
As Gen Z continues to gain financial power, traditional institutions—banks, wealth managers, and investment firms—will need to evolve:
Adopt digital-first strategies
Integrate AI and personalized recommendations
Provide educational content and social features
Offer ESG-aligned products
Forward-thinking financial institutions are already building digital ecosystems tailored to Gen Z’s values and habits.
Bridging the Gap: Why Financial Education Still Matters
While Gen Z’s enthusiasm for investing is commendable, it often comes with a steep learning curve. Many young investors are entering markets without foundational knowledge of risk, diversification, or macroeconomic trends.
That’s where structured financial education, such as an investment banking course in Mumbai, becomes invaluable. A program like this provides:
Core knowledge in finance, equity research, and M&A
Hands-on exposure to financial modeling and valuation
Real-world case studies and simulations
Access to industry mentors and recruiters
For those in Mumbai—a financial hub buzzing with opportunity—enrolling in an investment banking course can be the gateway to a fulfilling career in finance, whether you aim to work at a top-tier bank, fintech startup, or become a savvy investor yourself.
Final Thoughts: The Future Belongs to the Bold
Gen Z is bold, fast-moving, and unapologetically disruptive. While their approach to investing may raise eyebrows among traditionalists, it is also ushering in a new era of financial democratization and innovation.
As long as it's coupled with sound education and strategic thinking, the Gen Z investment revolution might just be the catalyst the world of finance needs.

💻 Affiliate Marketing Can Be a Lifeline — Here’s How to Start as a Beginner (Especially If You're Overlooked by the System)
For many of us, the phrase “make money online” feels like a scam. It’s easy to roll your eyes when people say they earn from home through affiliate marketing. But here’s the truth: for thousands of women, caregivers, disabled creators, and marginalized communities around the world, affiliate marketing isn’t just a trend — it’s a lifeline.
If you’ve ever struggled to make ends meet, been underpaid for your labor, or felt locked out of traditional systems of economic power, this post is for you. This is about building autonomy, visibility, and income in a system that often overlooks us.
Let’s talk about what affiliate marketing is, why it matters, and how to start ethically and effectively — even if you have zero experience.
🌱 What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a system where you promote someone else’s product or service online and earn a commission when someone buys through your unique link.
You don’t need to own a business. You don’t need a fancy website. All you need is a voice, a platform, and a willingness to share tools and resources that genuinely help people.
That’s it.
✊🏽 Why Affiliate Marketing Matters — Especially for the Underrepresented
Most traditional jobs were not built for single mothers, disabled folks, or those living in regions where decent-paying work is hard to find. And the global pandemic taught us what many already knew: The system isn’t safe. It’s unstable.
Affiliate marketing, when done ethically, can give you:
A way to earn without clocking in every day
An opportunity to support brands and causes you believe in
A method to share your story, perspective, or expertise in a monetizable way
A path to ownership and autonomy, especially for creators who have been systemically excluded
🚀 How to Start Affiliate Marketing as a Beginner
Here’s the truth: anyone can start. But it takes integrity, patience, and a real commitment to community over capitalism.
1. Choose a Niche You Actually Care About
Pick a topic where your voice adds value — something that relates to your experience, identity, or mission. For example:
Sustainable fashion
Women’s health
Disability-friendly tech
Afrocentric education tools
LGBTQ+ inclusive services
Your lived experience is your advantage.
2. Join Affiliate Programs That Align With Your Values
Here are a few examples (some global, some specific to creators from the Global South):
Amazon Associates – Low barrier to entry
Selar (Africa-focused digital products)
ShareASale – Eco brands, women-owned companies
Expertnaire – High-commission online education
Bookshop.org – Support local bookstores instead of Amazon
Don’t just promote what pays. Promote what matters.
3. Create Content That Teaches and Empowers
Your audience doesn’t want to be sold to — they want to be helped.
Share product reviews from a feminist lens
Create video explainers in your native language
Write blog posts that compare ethical tools/services
Use your voice to center justice, sustainability, and accessibility
Affiliate marketing can feel dirty when it’s just sales. But when it's advocacy? It’s powerful.
4. Build Your Platform
You don’t need a huge following. Start where you are.
Write on Medium
Start a free newsletter with Substack
Record short TikToks or Reels
Host free workshops or IG Lives
Show up consistently and with care. Your people will find you.
📊 But How Much Can You Actually Make?
Some folks make $50 a month. Others, thousands. It depends on:
Your audience size
The value of what you promote
Your authenticity and consistency
But more than money, you build trust, voice, and resilience — and those are currencies the system can’t take away.
🧠 Final Thoughts: Marketing With a Conscience
Affiliate marketing isn’t perfect. But if you’re intentional, transparent, and community-focused, it can be one of the few online income streams that doesn’t ask you to exploit others or sell your soul.
So yes — affiliate marketing is a way to earn online. But more importantly, it’s a way to reclaim power in a world that often leaves us out.
Let’s use it wisely. Together.
If this post resonated with you, I’d love to hear your story. Drop a comment or follow along for more tools on ethical income, digital independence, and creating space for overlooked voices in online economies.
A digital creator from Ghana, passionate about ethical income, storytelling, and empowering underrepresented voices online.

Tumblr media
Communication technology has evolved rapidly, changing the way we connect. It all started with 1G in the 1980s, which was purely analog. Calls were possible, but the quality was poor, and there was no data transfer. Then came 2G in the 1990s, introducing digital signals, text messaging (SMS), and basic internet services. This was the era when mobile communication truly became accessible.
3G arrived in the early 2000s, bringing faster data speeds and enabling video calls, mobile internet, and early social media usage. Streaming and app-based services became possible, but speeds were still limited. 4G, which launched in the 2010s, changed everything. With high-speed internet, HD video streaming, real-time gaming, and seamless cloud services became the norm. It made apps like Uber, Instagram, and Netflix work smoothly on mobile devices.
Now, 5G is the latest step. It offers ultra-fast speeds, lower latency, and the ability to connect millions of devices simultaneously. This makes it crucial for smart cities, autonomous vehicles, remote surgeries, and industrial automation. Unlike earlier networks, 5G uses advanced technologies like massive MIMO and millimeter waves for better efficiency.
Looking ahead, 6G is expected to be even faster, integrating AI-driven networks, holographic calls, and even brain-computer communication. It may enable real-time augmented reality and support an interconnected world at a scale never seen before. The journey of mobile communication is far from over. CFA by Day, Hustler by Night: Real Candidate Journeys
Tumblr media
It is well-known that the path to receiving the CFA charter is quite tough. But today's candidates do not have to worry only about the intense curriculum in order to be CFA qualified; instead, they are complementing this rigorous curriculum with full-time jobs, a startup, and/or some side businesses. And it could be freelance consulting, product launching in fintech, or managing a tiny e-commerce venture, today aspiring CFAs define the word "study hard" differently.
The Multitasking CFA Candidate
Given the increased flexibility of online resources in addition to the growing popularity of asynchronous learning and the many busy professionals taking the CFA qualification while they develop side businesses or remain within demanding careers, many have active workgroups on social network sites such as LinkedIn and Reddit. They can share tales of their testaments of grit and strategic planning regarding hours of study: "between client calls" at airports, or on their daily commute.
However, it is not just the really ambitious ends working here; they necessarily have their need driving them. Inflation is the biggest factor here, along with wanting to add more streams for income and an erratic environment for work, which only motivates people into side hustles while they try and juggle long-term certifications like CFA.
The Hustle: From Finance Blogs to Startups
For instance, Amit is an analyst who co-founded a personal finance blog while preparing for Level II. He began as a weekend hobbyist, but in a short time it has grown into a marvelous platform packed with thousands of readers, with ad revenues that almost pay for his exam.
For instance, Sarah is a Level III candidate who launched a subscription market newsletter on Substack. By integrating her CFA preparation with real-life market analysis, she birthed a mini-business and bolstered her comprehension of concepts like portfolio management and equity valuation.
Even tech ventures are in the mix. A few candidates came up with apps that CFA candidates use, e.g., AI-enabled flashcard with personalized mock exam platforms. These side hustles do not distract; they extend the path of CFA.
Balancing Their Lives: How Candidates Make It Work?
1. Structured Schedules: Time-blocking is a typical tool. Candidates do down-to-the-hour time slots for work, study, and hustle. For visualization of the week and setting up micro-goals, many candidates have apps like Notion or Trello.
2. Intelligent Study Tools: Candidates have changed the way they absorb material by using digital flashcards, CFA forums, and mobile content. Learning comes during commutes, workouts, and coffee breaks.
3. Mental Resilience: It can be said that a positive mental attitude makes the most important difference. Well-adjusted with enough rest, goal-setting, and accountability groups, they have come to the better cycle in which they are able to stay grounded.
Modern CFA Study Culture: Latest
The phenomenon isn't all that individual: It reveals a wider cultural shift. The CFA prep landscape is evolving further, as the gig economy matures and online communities become more well-developed. There's now space for shared notes, public progress tracking, and collaborative mock sessions hosted by peers from different parts of the country.
Such things are evident in the metropolitan cities where financial professionals are known to balance fast-paced jobs and entrepreneur vis-a-vis instincts. The new development of hybrid types of coaching and flexible mentorship in cities like Mumbai. Now, combining a full-time career with these study modules and community support programs is considered normal rather than an exception.
This is how the story goes about the success CFA course mumbai enrollers undergo: customized weekend classes, mentor support, real-world case application workshops-they've all been crafted keeping working professionals on track while allowing them to build independent income streams.
What do they actually recommend?
Candidates with side hustles advise:
Plan well in advance and have a solid plan, especially one that lends itself to time commitments.
When it comes to study hours, think of them as being non-negotiable about client work. The focus should be on results.
Health and social life must never be compromised; a total burnout might set back weeks of progress.
Keep your side hustle tied to finance since working in parallel will reinforce your CFA studies.
If Creating Your Own Path: Towards A Redefined CFA Journey
Long gone are those solitary days of CFA preparation. In modern times, candidates are getting used to managing careers, startups, and family responsibilities while ensuring their examination goals get fulfilled. The trend indicates a deeper change from a fettered academic route to a path toward dynamic professional growth.
With the assistance of technology, grit, and strategic planning, these aspirants are now proving you could have it all. This metamorphosis is starkly visible in developed urban environments where the work-life-study equilibrium is now a seamless continuum. One express case is the CFA Training Program in Mumbai, which is its reflection, giving candidates the future-ready tools necessary for a blend of flexibility, innovation, and industry acceptance on mentorship to pass the exam and prosper in finance beyond it.

How Astrologers Are Going Viral: Digital Trends You Can’t Ignore in 2025
Astrology, once confined to the back pages of newspapers and late-night TV, has undergone a digital transformation. In 2025, astrologers are not only gaining visibility but also going viral across platforms. The secret? A powerful mix of digital savvy, storytelling, and understanding their audience’s emotional needs. Here's a deep dive into how astrology is booming in the online world and the Digital Marketing For Astrologer and brands can’t afford to ignore this year.
1. The Rise of Astrofluencers and Micro-Communities
One of the biggest digital shifts in 2025 is the emergence of “astrofluencers.” These are astrologers who have built personal brands and massive followings on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and even LinkedIn. With audiences ranging from thousands to millions, these personalities use a blend of cosmic insights, real-life relatability, and engaging visuals to keep followers hooked.
Micro-communities are also thriving. Instead of broadcasting generic horoscopes, astrologers now niche down to serve specific segments — for instance, Gen Z water signs, working moms with rising Virgos, or entrepreneurs with Scorpio moons. These hyper-targeted approaches allow them to cultivate strong emotional connections and community loyalty, encouraging more engagement and shares.
2. Interactive and Visual Content Is King
Static horoscopes are being replaced by interactive reels, live streams, and visually rich infographics. In 2025, digital content that’s personalized, immersive, and mobile-first gets the most attention.
Tools like Instagram polls, interactive quizzes, and AI-powered birth chart calculators have made it easier than ever for followers to engage with astrology content. Some astrologers now use augmented reality to let followers “see” their planetary alignments or experience retrogrades in a simulated environment.
YouTube Shorts and TikTok are becoming go-to platforms for quick astrology explainers. Bite-sized content like “Mercury Retrograde Survival Tips in 30 Seconds” or “This Week’s Cosmic Energy for Fire Signs” are trending formats that grab attention and encourage virality.
3. AI-Powered Astrology and Personalized Insights
AI has penetrated every industry, and astrology is no exception. Many astrologers and astrology apps now harness AI to generate real-time, hyper-personalized horoscopes and predictive readings. These are not generic blurbs but nuanced, data-driven insights based on birth charts, moon cycles, and even daily moods tracked through app integrations.
AI chatbots that serve as digital astrologers are also on the rise. Users can ask questions like “How will Venus in Gemini affect my career?” and receive detailed responses within seconds. The convenience, speed, and personalization AI brings to astrology content are pushing the trend toward more customized spiritual guidance.
4. Spiritual Wellness Is Now Lifestyle Branding
Astrology in 2025 is no longer viewed as a fringe belief. It's part of the wider spiritual wellness movement. Astrologers have become lifestyle influencers, seamlessly blending cosmic advice with mental health tips, beauty rituals aligned with moon phases, or zodiac-based fashion recommendations.
This crossover into lifestyle and wellness content makes astrologers even more relatable. Collaborations with wellness brands, fashion houses, and digital platforms have also given astrology a mainstream presence. From curated moon ritual subscription boxes to zodiac-themed fitness apps, the integration of astrology into everyday life is fueling its popularity.
5. Monetization Models Have Evolved
Gone are the days when astrologers relied solely on one-on-one consultations. Today’s digital astrologers are diversifying income streams through subscription models, premium content tiers, live workshops, affiliate marketing, and merchandise.
Platforms like Patreon, Substack, and Ko-fi allow astrologers to offer exclusive content such as weekly astro-guides, full moon rituals, or birth chart deep-dives behind a paywall. Some even host digital retreats and virtual astrology bootcamps with hundreds of paying participants.
E-commerce is another trend, with astrologers launching personalized journals, zodiac-inspired candles, crystal kits, and more. By turning cosmic knowledge into tangible, branded experiences, they’re building sustainable digital businesses.
6. TikTok’s Algorithm Loves Cosmic Trends
In 2025, TikTok continues to be a powerhouse for virality, and astrology is one of its fastest-growing niches. Creators are leveraging TikTok’s algorithm to push trending sounds, challenges, and formats — all infused with cosmic relevance. Whether it’s a “Zodiac Sign as Coffee Orders” skit or a breakdown of upcoming lunar eclipses, the platform rewards astrologers who entertain while educating.
What makes TikTok powerful is its ability to catapult micro-creators into viral fame almost overnight. Astrologers who are strategic with hashtags, posting schedules, and audience interaction often find themselves on the For You Page (FYP), leading to rapid follower growth.
7. Data-Driven Astrology Is Here
In 2025, analytics are shaping content strategies for astrologers. With access to robust platform insights, astrologers are analyzing which signs engage the most, what content formats perform best, and even tracking the best time (based on audience location and time zones) to post cosmic forecasts.
Many astrologers are integrating tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and advanced CRM platforms to understand customer behavior. By blending intuition with data, they’re able to optimize content and maximize reach.
8. Community-Driven Platforms Are Booming
New platforms focused solely on astrology and spiritual growth are gaining momentum. Apps like Sanctuary, Co-Star, and The Pattern have become digital hubs, offering community forums, guided meditations, live chat rooms, and daily updates. These platforms function like social networks but are rooted in astrology-based identities, enhancing user engagement and retention.
Astrologers using these platforms often gain more visibility within niche audiences and are able to host workshops, Q&As, and discussions that go beyond social media engagement. Community platforms are proving essential for fostering trust and long-term relationships.
9. Collaborations and Cross-Promotion Are Key
Cross-promotion among astrologers, wellness influencers, and even musicians or artists is a powerful trend. Joint Instagram Lives, podcast appearances, or newsletter collaborations expand audiences and reinforce credibility. An astrologer discussing zodiac signs with a fashion blogger or appearing on a wellness podcast offers exposure to new audiences and reinforces the relevance of astrology in everyday life.
In 2025, brands are also collaborating with astrologers during key astrological events — full moons, eclipses, or Mercury retrogrades — to launch themed campaigns and content. These collaborations add cosmic context to brand storytelling and deepen emotional resonance.
Final Thoughts
Astrology has always been about patterns, timing, and insight. In the digital age, it’s now also about platforms, algorithms, and engagement. Astrologers in 2025 are combining ancient wisdom with cutting-edge tools to reach global audiences like never before. They’re building communities, driving conversations, and redefining what it means to be both spiritual and viral.

What did Tech 'take over' from Americans?
Originally Published on SubStack
From the start, tech has taken over your privacy and inalienable rights.
How could that happen? Read on. This is about what’s best for you, your loved ones and others.
A leading cause of Americans losing their liberties and rights is U.S. Internet unaccountability policy of minimal government online in Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act, that tech backed, funded, and advanced via TechNet.
This ‘Wild West’ Internet policy approves anarchism in abandoning rule-of-law, rights, and a duty-of-care online. It also approves amoralism in not legislating or adjudicating right vs. wrong, or legal vs. illegal, online.
This abdication of government authority unwittingly subverts the virtuous essence of American freedom -- the reciprocity of the Golden Rule of ‘treat others as one wants to be treated,’ that every major religion and ethical tradition believes in, in some form, and that 92% of Americans support per Marist.
Why it matters. Reason and the evidence show 1996, U.S. Internet unaccountability policy, has resulted in Americans losing their privacies, liberties and rights online.
Lost Equal Rights.
U.S. Internet unaccountability policy took away your equal rights in protecting Internet technology by prohibiting protection of people from technology. This unequally values protecting technology over humanity and profit over people. It unsafely grants technology impunity over people. And it unjustly empowers technology to govern people without their consent, rights, recourse, or access to justice.
Lost Privacy and Life Security.
Prior to 1996, Americans had a well-established, offline right to privacy based on the Fourth Amendment and federal privacy statutes passed in 1974, 1974, 1978, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1994, and 1996. Tech has fiercely opposed and thwarted most every privacy legislation since 2000.
Now most know they have lost all their privacy online and want it back per Pew Research.
Privacy is integral to the natural human need for self-preservation.
Privacy is akin to being able to hide from potential predatory harm.
Without privacy, one can’t protect one’s security, identity, reputation, or dignity.
Lost Liberty.
Humans enjoy liberty and rights, things do not.
Offline one is a living being: human, individual, citizen, voter, customer, adult/minor with liberty.
However, online a person tellingly is not a living thing: they are data, a user, a product, or an avatar without liberty.
Lost Humanity.
Tragically, people have lost their humanity online.
Online we’re dehumanized inanimate data products, commercial chattel that’s bought and sold with impunity by data brokers, without meaningful consent, permission, rights, or recourse.
We’re indentured servants online, disenfranchised commercial captives of unfair, one-sided, legal terms, indentures, and market power.
Minors are prey for predators, neglected and devalued without age-appropriate protections.
Lost Personal Sovereignty.
Lose your privacy. Lose your personal sovereignty to choose and control how you live your life.
Online we no longer control our own destinies because others can largely control our virtual value, private data, and identity.
Unfettered Big Tech monopolies largely control what we find, believe, see, say, and share online.
U.S. Internet unaccountability policy also unnecessarily preempts citizens’ State rights making Americans second-class citizens online via unnecessary Federal preemption of States’ authority to protect their citizens from harm.
We know Unchecked Big-Tech has repeatedly captured, dominated, and blocked, Congress’ best bipartisan efforts to not pass Federal privacy legislation into law for 27 years!
Enough! Tech mustn’t continue to take over our humanity, identity, security & dignity, sans consent. Please consider upgrading to a paid subscription to learn more.
Thank you for your interest and word of mouth to help Check-Tech.
Sincerely,
Scott Cleland

How Brands Are Partnering with the Creator Economy to Drive Revenue?
Tumblr media
The creator economy has been a cathartic innovation for many online creators. On the other hand, it has gained commercial business value for brands. Collaborations with online creators have caused a shift from conventional celebrity endorsements to online influencer endorsements. The digital advertising industry has taken the internet by storm & is the sole reason for brands mulling over the idea of engagement rates, expecting higher revenue figures, resulting in adapting creative ways to attract the target audiences.
The Rise of the Creator Economy in Brand Partnerships
The digital content economy consists of content creators, influencers, and digital entrepreneurs who use platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Substack to monetize their expertise and audience. With billions of users engaging daily, brands have recognized the immense potential of partnering with these creators to tap into highly engaged niche communities.
Unlike traditional marketing, where businesses push one-size-fits-all messaging, creator collaborations allow for a more personalized approach. Creators build trust and credibility within their communities, making their endorsements more authentic and impactful than conventional advertising.
How Brands Are Leveraging the Creator Economy?
Tumblr media
To drive revenue, brands are adopting several key strategies to integrate with the creator economy:
1. Co-creation of Branded Content
Brands are moving beyond sponsorships and actively co-creating content with creators. This strategy ensures the brand’s message is seamlessly integrated into the creator’s authentic storytelling. Examples include:
Fashion brands collaborating with influencers to launch limited-edition collections.
Tech companies work with YouTube reviewers to showcase product features.
Financial brands partnering with creators to simplify complex topics like investing and cryptocurrency.
2. Performance-Based Influencer Marketing
Instead of flat-fee sponsorships, businesses are shifting toward performance-based partnerships where creators earn commissions through affiliate marketing, referral programs, or revenue-sharing agreements. This approach aligns incentives, ensuring that creators drive actual business results, such as sales or sign-ups, rather than just engagement metrics.
3. Creator-Led Product Innovation
Some of the most successful brands in the creator economy are those that involve influencers in product development. Companies like Nike, Glossier, and Logitech have launched products in collaboration with creators, leveraging their insights and audience feedback to fine-tune offerings. This not only boosts sales but also strengthens brand loyalty.
4. Exclusive Membership and Subscription Models
Brands are increasingly utilizing the subscription-based model of the creator economy by offering premium content, courses, and behind-the-scenes access through platforms like Patreon and OnlyFans (for non-adult content). By providing value-driven exclusive content, brands can create recurring revenue streams while fostering community engagement.
Expanding Revenue Streams Through Creator Collaborations
Tumblr media
Beyond direct sponsorships and content partnerships, brands are discovering innovative ways to integrate creators into their business models:
5. Creator-Driven E-commerce Strategies
E-commerce brands are embedding creators into their sales funnels by:
Hosting live shopping events on social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Partnering with creators to launch limited-time product drops.
Utilizing creator-led reviews to drive conversions on e-commerce sites.
6. Leveraging AI and Data Analytics for Creator Partnerships
AI-powered tools now enable brands to:
Identify the best-matched creators for their target audiences.
Measure ROI through advanced sentiment analysis and performance tracking.
Optimize influencer campaigns in real-time, ensuring maximum impact.
Case Studies: Brands Winning with the Creator Economy
Nike’s Partnership with Digital Athletes
Nike has successfully integrated itself into the online creator business by collaborating with fitness influencers and digital athletes. Through personalized sponsorships and co-branded training programs, Nike has expanded its reach and enhanced customer loyalty without relying on traditional advertising.
Chipotle’s TikTok Strategy
Chipotle has leveraged TikTok creators to drive viral marketing campaigns, resulting in significant spikes in sales. By engaging influencers to create fun, challenge-based content, Chipotle taps into the organic appeal of the creator economy to make its brand a trending topic.
Adobe’s Collaboration with Digital Creators
Adobe’s approach to the creator economy focuses on providing tools and resources to digital artists and content creators. Through partnerships with leading creatives, Adobe ensures its software remains a staple for professionals and aspiring creators alike.
L’Oréal’s Beauty Creator Program
L’Oréal has taken a strategic approach to the creator economy by building long-term relationships with beauty influencers. Through exclusive training programs and product collaborations, L’Oréal empowers creators to become brand ambassadors, driving sales while reinforcing brand credibility.
Challenges and Considerations for Brands
While the social media entrepreneurship presents enormous opportunities, brands must navigate certain challenges:
Finding the Right Creators: Aligning with influencers who genuinely represent a brand’s values is crucial for authenticity.
Regulatory Compliance: Brands must ensure transparency in partnerships, including proper disclosure of sponsored content.
Measuring ROI: Unlike traditional marketing, tracking direct revenue impact from creator partnerships requires a mix of analytics tools and performance-based metrics.
Brand Safety: Ensuring that brand messages remain consistent across creator collaborations is crucial to avoid misalignment or controversy.
The Future of Brand-Driven Creator Partnerships
Tumblr media
As the creator economy continues to evolve, brands that embrace innovation will lead the way. Emerging technologies like AI-driven influencer analytics, blockchain-based creator payments, and decentralized content ownership will further shape how businesses interact with digital entrepreneurs.
Forward-thinking brands will not only collaborate with creators but also empower them—whether through co-branded ventures, equity partnerships, or shared revenue models. By deeply embedding into the creator economy, businesses can cultivate loyal customer communities, drive sustainable revenue growth, and future-proof their marketing strategies.
Brands that integrate creators into product development, customer engagement, and marketing strategies will set themselves apart in the increasingly competitive digital landscape. As Web3 technologies, decentralized content creation, and virtual influencers gain traction, the next wave of the digital content economy will bring even greater opportunities for brands willing to adapt.
Conclusion
The shift toward the creator economy is not just a passing trend—it represents a fundamental transformation in how brands engage with consumers. By leveraging creator partnerships, businesses can drive revenue, enhance brand trust, and create marketing that feels organic and impactful. As more companies embrace this model, those that strategically integrate with the digital content economy will find themselves at the forefront of the next wave of digital commerce and brand storytelling.
With continued innovation, collaboration, and data-driven strategies, brands can fully unlock the potential of the influencer economy and create long-term, sustainable business success.

Whether you're looking for a side hustle, a full-time business, or passive income, there are endless opportunities to capitalize on. Here are some of the smartest ways to make money in 2025.
1. Build a Personal Brand and Monetize It
In today’s digital world, personal branding is a powerful tool for making money. Whether you’re an expert in a field, a content creator, or a niche influencer, you can turn your reputation into income.
Ways to Monetize a Personal Brand:
Sell digital products like courses, e-books, or templates.
Offer coaching or consulting services.
Launch a membership community or subscription service.
Partner with brands for sponsorships and collaborations.
2. Master AI-Powered Side Hustles
AI is changing the way we work, and those who use it wisely can create new revenue streams. Many businesses are searching for AI-powered solutions to streamline their processes, and you can provide them.
Profitable AI Side Hustles:
AI-powered content creation (writing, graphics, and video editing).
AI automation services for businesses.
Selling AI-generated assets (logos, stock images, voiceovers).
Creating and selling chatbots for customer service.
3. High-Ticket Service-Based Business
Instead of chasing small sales, focus on offering high-value services that generate large payouts. In 2025, many professionals are turning to service-based businesses that cater to high-paying clients.
Examples of High-Ticket Services:
Business consulting and coaching.
Premium web design and branding services.
AI integration consulting.
Luxury travel planning or concierge services.
If you have expertise in a field, positioning yourself as a premium service provider can lead to big earnings.
4. Monetize Your Knowledge with Online Courses
E-learning is bigger than ever, and people are willing to pay for high-quality educational content. If you have expertise in any subject, you can create and sell an online course.
How to Get Started:
Identify a topic people want to learn about.
Create a course using platforms like Teachable, Udemy, or Kajabi.
Use social media marketing to attract students.
Offer upsells like coaching or exclusive group memberships.
5. Become a Paid Community Builder
More people are moving away from traditional social media and looking for niche communities. If you can create a valuable online space, people will pay to be part of it.
How to Monetize a Community:
Start a paid Discord or Telegram group.
Launch a Patreon or Substack with premium content.
Build a private membership site with exclusive benefits.
Organize mastermind groups or virtual events.
6. Invest in Digital Real Estate
While traditional real estate remains lucrative, digital real estate is becoming a major player in wealth-building. This includes domains, websites, and virtual assets.
Best Digital Real Estate Investments:
Buy and flip domain names.
Invest in revenue-generating websites.
Purchase virtual real estate in the metaverse.
Build and sell authority blogs or niche websites.
7. Create a Subscription-Based Business
Subscription models create predictable income by charging customers on a recurring basis. This can be applied to both digital and physical products.
Subscription Business Ideas:
Exclusive content memberships (newsletters, premium blogs).
Subscription boxes (beauty, fitness, lifestyle).
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.
Private community memberships.
8. Leverage the Power of Micro-SaaS
Micro-SaaS is a small, highly specialized software solution that caters to niche audiences. Unlike massive software companies, Micro-SaaS businesses can be launched by a single person or a small team.
How to Start a Micro-SaaS Business:
Identify a niche problem that software can solve.
Use AI tools or hire developers to create a simple software solution.
Offer a monthly subscription for access.
Scale by adding features based on customer feedback.
9. Invest in Alternative Assets
Wealth-building in 2025 isn’t just about stocks and crypto. Alternative assets offer new ways to diversify and grow your money.
Top Alternative Investments:
Fractional real estate investing.
High-value collectibles (watches, rare sneakers, digital art).
Peer-to-peer lending.
Farmland investing.
