The Sudarshan Chakra Talon Abraxas
The Sudarshan Chakra is regarded as one of the most potent weapons ever used in the celestial world. Sudarshan Chakra is derived from two words – su and darshan. It means auspicious (su) vision (darshan). Sudarshan means Divine Vision. If there is any other weapon that could rival the Sudarshan Chakra, it is Shiva's trident. Chakra is derived from chruhu, which denotes ‘movement’ and kruhu, which indicates ‘to do’.
The Sudarshan Chakra finds mention sometimes in the ancient Hindu Vedic texts of Rigveda, Yajurveda, and the Puranas. It is described as the ultimate weapon that can destroy an enemy - the asuras, rakshasas, and vikrutatma.
In the Dwapara Yuga, Shri Krishna received the Sudarshan Chakra from the Fire God, Agni. Sri Krishna was the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It was the mighty sage Parashurama, said to be the sixth avatar of Vishnu, who taught Sri Krishna to master the weapon.
There are some details about the Sudarshan Chakra about which some of us may not have the complete awareness. This powerful weapon has some incredible features. Listed below are five amazing features of the Sudarshan Chakra.
Five Unbelievable Features of the Sudarshan Chakra
1. The Sudarshan Chakra is considered one of the most powerful weapons ever used in the cosmic world. This divine discus is believed to have 108 notched edges and travels at incredible speed. The Chakra is stated to travel millions of Yojanas (1 Yojana= 8 kilometers) by the time we blink once. The Sudarshan Chakra is said to have millions of spikes in two rows moving in opposite directions that give it a serrated edge.
2. The Sudarshan Chakra is synonymous with Vishnu and sits on his right index finger. The sacred disc is believed to be very auspicious. The movement of the Sudarshan Chakra is such that it does not move by any action, like throwing the disc. The Chakra moves through sheer willpower, the first of its kind that can be controlled or powered by thought alone. The Sudarshan Chakra is said to possess immense spiritual and mystical powers. The sacred wheel is in constant motion, and it is said to have been created by the combined powers of the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
3. The Sudarshan Chakra is powered by the mind and thought. Once it leaves the finger, there is no looking back. The Chakra goes after the enemy and chases them down. It will not return to the owner unless it has completed its task. The Sudarshan Chakra, once it leaves the finger, goes chasing the enemy down relentlessly and destroys them. There is no way to escape from its wrath. The only option is to stop running and surrender to the Chakra. Lord Vishnu, it is believed, comes to the rescue of those who surrender themselves to him.
4. Sri Krishna was in possession of the Sudarshan Chakra in the Dwapara Yuga. He is the eighth avatar of Vishnu and obtained this powerful weapon from the Fire God, Agni. It is believed that the Great Sage Parashurama taught Sri Krishna how to master the Sudarshan Chakra perfectly.
5. Mythology has it that Vishnu did not own the Sudarshan Chakra. The Devas (celestial beings) were being incessantly harassed by the Asuras (demons). The Devas approached Vishnu for help. He, in turn, approached Shiva as he was not sure he had complete power to defeat the asuras. He prayed to Shiva for thousands of years, and finally, Shiva, pleased with Vishnu's devotion, granted him the boon to defeat the Asuras and presented him the Sudarshan Chakra. Vishnu in all his avatars retains the Sudarshan Chakra on his right index finger.
The Sudarshan Chakra is a symbol of power and acts as a shield to destroy and negate any negative or evil forces that can cause suffering. A powerful quality of the Sudarshan Chakra is Papa Nashanam (destruction of sins). While there are many speculations about the origin of Sudarshan Chakra, Sudarshan is none other than Vishnu himself. He is called Sudarshan because he wields the mighty and indestructible Sudarshan Chakra.

Rakshabandhan : A festive of Love and Protection
"Raksha Bandhan, a festival celebrated across India, is a beautiful expression of the bond between brothers and sisters."Rakhsha Bandhan is a famous festival among Hindu religion. This festival is widely celebrated in India and signifies the brotherhood and love among Indians, which is the true significance of Rakhsha Bandhan.Rakshabandha is bond that shows the purity and bonding between siblings.
Raksha Bandhan is observed on the last day of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Shravana, which typically falls in August. The term "Raksha Bandhan" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Raksha," meaning protection, and "Bandhan," meaning to tie. Therefore, the festival signifies "the tie or knot of protection."
If we look into the pages of history, we will find mention of Raksha Bandhan many times. But the most popular story in Indian mythology is that of Lord Krishna and draupadi ( The wife of five Pandavas ).According to this story, when Lord Krishna killed Shishupal with the Sudarshan Chakra, his finger got cut and started bleeding. Seeing this, Draupadi tore the pallu of her sari and tied it on Krishna's finger. At that very moment, Krishna accepted Draupadi as his sister and promised to protect her for life. Krishna told Draupadi that whenever she finds herself in trouble, she can remember him. When Draupadi was being disrobed in Dhritarashtra's court and an attempt was being made to remove her sari, even Pandava Bhishma Pitamah Dronacharya Vidur could not save Draupadi's honour. Then Draupadi closed her eyes and remembered her brother Shri Krishna. Hearing sister Draupadi's call, Shri Krishna saved her honour with his power and fulfilled the responsibility of protecting her.
Tumblr media
The ceremony starts after the sister has done aarti, which is a custom in which the sister swings the thali in circular motions around the brother to bestow him with divine protection. Sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of their brothers. After this, they sweeten their brother's mouth with their favorite sweets. After every custom is successfully done, now comes the most exciting time of getting rewards from brothers. They reciprocate to their sisters by means of lavish return gifts and tokens of money.
How rakshabandhan celebrated in moden times?
Nowadays, even brothers tie Rakhi on their sister's wrists, and sisters also perform the ritual among each other. If some siblings live in different cities, they send each other virtual rakhis and messages on social media and express there love for each other.
Nowadays, Raksha Bandhan is not limited to only the Hindu religion or Indian celebrations; it is also celebrated by other religions and in different parts of the world.
•In the United States, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated by people of Indian origin, as well as by non-Indians who appreciate its values.
•In the UK, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated by people of Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi origin, showcasing its cultural significance.
Its universal themes of love, protection, and sibling bonding have resonated with people from diverse backgrounds, making it a truly global festival.
Let's celebrate a festive of rakhi with a promise of protection , love and lifelong companionship.
Happy rakshabandhan 🙏🙏

The Fair Tie
There is no other bond like the bond between a brother and sister! Isn't this line truly said!
Indeed there can be no better companion than a brother and no better best friend than a sister. Although both of them might have fights on daily basis, but it's true that they can't live without each other! Both are like railway tracts- always parallel to each other- even in the adverse of situations! This special bond is always strengthened by the festival of brotherhood- the festival of a fair tie between a sister and brother- cherish their bond. Yes, Raksha Bandhan, or the festival of brotherhood, is the sweetest of all festivals, and will always cherish the memories of their lovely fights! But have you ever thought about how and when did this auspicious festival begin? How did our bonds get to strengthen up with our loved ones? Let's know how a gesture of gratitude leads to a beautiful bond!
The tale is headed to dates behind- in the ancient times- the time of Mahabharat! There are two legends specifying the importance and culture of Raksha Bandhan. The first goes in this way that, Draupadi- the wife of Pandavas, was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. Krishna hurts his hand accidentally while handling sugarcane. Seeing this, his wives Satyabhama and Rukmini rush to get a clean cloth or a bandage for him. While Draupadi who was nearby him- tore off a piece of her saree and bandaged his wound. Looking at her devotion, Lord Krishna got impressed and promised to help her when she would be in agony. This incident strengthened their bond.
The other story also narrates the scenes of Mahabharat. The plot of this story revolves around the incident of killing Shishupal- his own cousin- who got punished for all his sins. When Krishna's Sudarshan chakra beheaded Shishipal. The chakra was revolving with the speed of light, which came back to Krishna after beheading Shihupal- this caused Lord to bleed his fingers. Everyone in the arena was amazed to see the miracle. It was at this time that Draupadi rushed to Lord Krishna and tore a piece of her saree and aided him. Seeing Draupadi's selfless service, he got touched by her devotion. He promised to protect her whenever needed. From then she tied him Rakhi on His hand, every year and He showered His blessings on her. He gave her a boon uttering 'Akshayam' meaning endless. And this boon worked when the great warriors couldn't save her pride- in Cheerharna, in the court of Kauravs. When legends like Bhishma, Arjuna, and Bhima couldn't fight for the rights of Draupadi, Krishna helped his sister by providing her with the endless saree and protected her in all the times of her need!
Now you have understood how special is the bond of a brother and sister. How selfless service led to a never-ending bond. A relationship between a brother and sister is priceless, it's solely the best! With these occurrences, we not only understood more about the priceless relationship between brother and sister but also learned about altruistic duties and even saw their aftermath. In this pandemic situation, there are many people who are working selflessly- for the welfare of the citizens. Yes, the front-line workers, who are working hard- day and night to support all beings and helping us to come out of this pandemic. Indeed we lost many of our dear ones in this pandemic, even many lost their livelihood. The situation got totally changed when the pandemic hit our country.
It just broke every strand of peace! Many saw their close ones taking their last breaths and many saw their dear ones walking miles to reach their home. Even many had to leave their education forever- due to this situation. In a way, we all witnessed sacrifice, may it be the sacrifice of our loved ones, time, or education- but everything simply got changed. This time taught us the real meaning of unity and its importance. Even though we faced so much difficulty- we didn't lose hope! And that's the ray of light that is surely driving us out of the dark. There are many people who are supporting us in this pandemic- be it directly or indirectly- and aren't allowing us to lose hope! So this Raksha Bandhan let's thank those supporters who spread positivity and have motivated us to hope for the best and remain calm. This year let's put our leg forward to thank all those who had been a reason for our smiles and positivity. This year let's be the change and become a part of the change!

Happy Raksha Bandhan 2022 from Rashi Verma on Vimeo.
A beautiful incident related to Rakhi is mentioned in the Mahabharata. Beautiful because this incident shows that for the affection of brother and sister, they do not have to be related. Legend has it that when Yudhishthira was performing Rajasuya Yagya in Indraprastha, Shishupala was also present in the meeting. When Shishupala insulted Lord Shri Krishna, Shri Krishna killed him with his Sudarshan Chakra. While returning, the little finger of the Lord was bitten by the Sudarshan Chakra and blood started flowing. Seeing this, Draupadi came forward and tore the pallu of her sari and wrapped it on Krishna's finger. At the same time, Shri Krishna promised Draupadi that he would repay the loan of each thread. After this, when the Kauravas tried to rip Draupadi, Shri Krishna raised the rag and put the shame of Draupadi's rag. It is said that the day Draupadi tied the pallu of a sari around the wrist of Shri Krishna, it was the day of Shravan Purnima.
"Since then the sacred thread is tied on this day. That is why Rakhi is tied on this day."

RAKSHA BANDHAN
Tumblr media
India is known as country of festivals. Raksha bandhan is also a very important festival celebrated in India. It is a festival to celebrate the bond between siblings. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated in India in the month of Shravan, also called Sawan, which generally falls on July or August. This year, we will be celebrating Raksha Bandhan on August 2.
In Sanskrit, Raksha Bandhan simply means ‘the bond of protection, obligation, or care’ and thus it signifies the bond between a sister and her brother. To celebrate this bond, a simple ceremony is performed when a sister ties Rakhi on the wrist of her brother as he promises to protect her from all the troubles. Both sisters and brothers then treat each other with gifts and surprises and share affection with each other.
Importance
Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival celebrated as a custom. Rather, this festival is a day to build new relationships with emotions. On this day, sisters not only tie Rakhi to brothers but they also tie Rakhi to those whom they wish to protect. Like in India, there are women in different places who send Rakhi to the heroes (soldiers) of the country and pray for their long life.
HISTORY
There are many mythological stories behind the festival of Raksha Bandhan. One of the most famous stories is from ‘Mahabharata’. It is said that once Lord Krishna was flying kite with Pandavas, Draupadi and Subhadra. Lord Krishna met with a deep cut with Kite’s threat and the wound started bleeding. Draupadi rushed to lord Krishna and tied a piece of cloth on his finger to avoid bleeding. To see the gesture of Draupadi, Lord Krishna promised her that he will always protect her from all the difficulties likewise.
Apart from Hindu mythology, Chittor’s queen Karnavati and Agra’s emperor Humayun's Raksha Bandhan story is highly admirable. It has been said that Raani Karnavati was a widowed queen of Chittor, Rajasthan. Once, she was attacked by the Afghan Sultan from Gujarat. She knew that it won’t be easy for her to win the battle, so she sent a Rakhi to the Mughal emperor. After receiving Rakhi, Humayun went emotional and sent his troops to protect Chittor. This incident added feathers to the festival's significance and also released it from the religious barriers.
Raksha Bandhan Legends
The festival of Raksha Bandhan is mainly celebrated for protection. There are various stories and legends in Hindu Mythology as well as in history, where Gods have tied the rakhi to protect their loved ones for their protection. Here are the stories:
Indra Indrani: This legend tells us that Rakhi is a sacred thread of protection and it cannot only be tied to the brothers for protection, but also to the ones we love. The story of Indra and Indrani takes place in the Vedic period when a battle of the gods and demons took place. Indrani, the companion of Indra, tied a sacred thread on the wrist of her husband for protection against the evil demons.
Krishna and Draupadi: In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna had hurt his finger when he had sent his Sudarshan Chakra from his finger to behead Shishupala. Draupadi then bandaged his finger with a piece of cloth from her saree. Lord Krishna who was moved by her deed promised to protect her from all odds.
Yama Yamuna: In this story, Yama tied a sacred thread on the wrist of her brother Yamuna to protect him from the curse of dead and mutilation from his stepmother, Chhaya. He told his mother that he knew of her secret to which she got furious and gave this curse to him, which was lifted because of the thread.
King Bali and Goddess Laxmi: Goddess Laxmi disguised herself as a Brahmin woman and tied a rakhi to King Bali on the day of Shravan Purnima. She then revealed herself and asked the king to free his companion, Lord Vishnu and let him return to Vaikunth.
Santoshi Maa and Lord Ganesha: This legend is considered to be the reason behind the celebration of Raksha Bandhan. Lord Ganesha had two sons who asked him to bring a sister who would tie rakhi to them. Ganesha then created Santoshi Maa who tied rakhi to his sons.
How do we celebrate Rakhi?
Before raksha bandhan also known as “rakhi”, sisters brings Rakhi for their brother. Rakhi is typically a band which can be tied on wrist. While brother brings their sister a gift. On the day of rakhi, sister first do the Pooja after getting ready and then apply roli and chawal on forehead of her brother and then tie rakhi and in exchange brother promise her to always protect her and gives her a gift.

Debasnan Purnima
Debasnan Purnima The beginning of Shri Gannath's rath yatra policy
The Devaswana Purnima or bathing procession is celebrated in the Shrikshetra on the full moon day of the oldest month Shuklapaksha. On this day, the fourth idol is traditionally bathed in 108 gallons of water in the bathing mandapa of the temple. The deities are then dressed in gajanan costumes. Usually once a year Mr. Jagannath bathes with his siblings, at other times he is bathed. This day is also celebrated as Jagannath's birthday. This is a ritual performed before the procession.
History-- In the case of Darubrahma's leela, Purushottama, the Mahaprabhu's bathing ceremony or the bathing of the Mahaprabhu is a classical leela of the ground. It is said that this bath was first performed at the time of the appearance of the Lord, and is said to be the beginning of Sridharubrahma. Maharaja Indradyum performed the bath at the first good moment after the Lord took the form of Darubrahma. Since there was no bathing pavilion at that time, a wooden platform was built and the bathing ritual was completed. That is why many scriptures refer to it as a bath. According to scripture, the first place where Darubrah was placed in the holy water invoked in 108 golden bowls was completed. Following that classical view, bathing is still practiced today. Notably, according to scripture, the Lord appeared on the day of the full moon. The first place on the full moon of the month of Jyostha is called the Fallen Leela, as it is the first place where the Lord appeared, regardless of race or color.
Treatment procedures--
On the eve of the bathing full moon, as usual on the day of the bath, the temple is closed for a short time after the completion of all the rituals of Kabatfita, Pahantia Abakash, Gopalaballav, Sakaladhup, Dwiprahardhup, etc., and then the ritual of the bathing full moon begins. On this day, Koth enters the Siansia temple and ties a scarf for the pahndi l. Mars is offered on the throne.
The fourth idol is worshiped by the devotees, while Madanmohan is worshiped only by the mahajan servants (servants of the Brahmin group). During the Pahndi BJP, the Thakurs wear shawl and tahiya on seven steps. This is the second time that a seven-step procession has been completed. The ghazas from Bandapana and later from the Raghavadas monastery are performed. After eating the panties, the Thakurs go to the bath and place them on their place. The big swine sprinkles water on it. On the eve of the full moon of the Devasthan, 108 kalasa water is collected for the Mahaprabhu from the Devayan Marg of the temple or from the golden well. The gold well is located between Shitala Thakurani and her Bahan Singh. It is as if the lion has been protecting the well all year. Due to the fact that the well has not been used throughout the year, the water is considered to be untouched by the Tantric tradition. In the Vedic rituals of bathing, the bathing water is invited, while in the place of bathing, thirteen substances are mixed in the Tantric ritual. In the tradition of sacrifice, the well is called the "well of life." In ancient times, in Odisha, it was customary for a child to be born and bathe in water. This does not affect the power of the evil spirit in the child. In 108 bowls of invited water, Ashtabandha, Krishna-Aguru, Ushir, Gorchana, Devdaru, Mutha, Harital, Bahada, Amalki, Sanchistha, Tamraparni, Somparni and Lodha are mixed. The water is evaporated when the herb is mixed. In that fragrant inviting water, Darubrah is bathed in 108 gallons of water. Of this water, 35 gallons of Jagannath, 33 gallons of Balabhadra, 22 gallons of Subhadra and 18 gallons of Sudarshan are bathed. It's called direct vacation. The Lord is dressed as Gajanan on this day. On this day, the goddess Subhadra is adorned with flowers, moon and umbrella by the Raghavadas Math. Sribalabhadra, donated by the Gopaltirtha Math, is dressed in Gajanan costume and Shudarshan is worn in a chakra. On this day, one incense is given instead of three.
The Thakurs then return to the temple in a procession. Inside the Ansar pindi on the inner wood, the tray is tied and the idol is erected after the Thakurs win. The quadruple then has a fever for 15 days from the full moon to the Netrotsava. This is called Ansar. For these 15 days, devotees do not get to see the Jews. At this time the devotees visit Alarnath, which is worshiped in the nearby Brahmagiri.

When Lord Krishna left the body, he was cremated, his whole body was mixed in the five elements but his heart was beating like a normal living man and he was absolutely safe, his heart is safe till today which is Lord Jagannath that lives inside the wooden idol and beats in the same way, very few people know this.
Mahaprabhu's great secret
Cleaning is done with a gold broom.
Mahaprabhu Jagannath (Shri Krishna) is also called the Lord of Kaliyuga.
The idol of Mahaprabhu is changed every 12 years, at that time the entire city of Puri is blacked out i.e. the lights of the entire city are switched off. After the lights are turned off, the crpf army surrounds the temple premises from all sides... at that time no one can enter the temple...
There is a thick darkness inside the temple... the priest's eyes are bandaged... the priest has gloves in his hand.. He takes out the "Brahma substance" from the old idol and puts it in the new idol... Till date no one knows what is this brahma substance... no one has seen it till date. ..For thousands of years it is being transferred from one idol to another...
This is a supernatural substance, just by touching it, the rags of a person's body fly away.. This brahma substance is related to Lord Shri Krishna.. But what is it, no one knows... this whole process every 12 years. I happen once... at that time the security is very high...
But till date no priest has been able to tell what is there in the idol of Mahaprabhu Jagannath???
Some priests say that when we took him in his hand, he was jumping like a rabbit...there was a blindfold...we were only able to feel if we had gloves in hand...
Even today, on the occasion of Jagannath Yatra, the king of Puri himself comes to sweep with a gold broom.
The sound of ocean waves is not heard inside as soon as you take the first step inside from the lion gate of Lord Jagannath temple, while the surprising thing is that as soon as you take a step out of the temple, the sound of the ocean will be heard.
You must have seen birds sitting and flying on the summit of most of the temples, but no bird passes over the Jagannath temple.
The flag always flies in the opposite direction of the wind
The main peak of Lord Jagannath Temple does not cast a shadow at any time of the day.
The flag situated on the 45-storey peak of Lord Jagannath temple is changed daily, it is believed that if the flag is not changed even for a day, the temple will be closed for 18 years.
Similarly, there is also a Sudarshan Chakra on the top of Lord Jagannath Temple, which, when viewed from every direction, faces towards you.
In the kitchen of Lord Jagannath temple, 7 earthen pots are placed on top of each other to cook the prasad, which is cooked by a wood fire, during which the dish of the pot placed on the top is cooked first.
The Prasad made every day in Lord Jagannath temple never diminishes for the devotees, but the surprising thing is that as soon as the doors of the temple are closed, the prasad also ends.
All these are surprising.
Jai Shree Jagannath 🙏🙏🙏

TALES OF KRISHNA ~ 11~ End Of Kamsa { part 1 ends }
Kamsa's demons had harassed children throughout the region for fifteen years. Kamsa’s every attempt to kill Krishna had failed.
Tumblr media
                                  (above ~ Narada warns Kamsa ! )
Magically, Krishna and Balarama killed them all as part of their divine play, or lila. Thus, the inhabitants of Vrindavana were thankful, remembering their guru's prediction about Krishna. After Krishna killed the arista (bull) demon, the great sage Narada Muni went to Kamsa's palace and told him that Krishna and Balarama were the seventh and eighth sons of Vasudeva. Narada described the events that took place on the night of Krishna's birth and confirmed that Kamsa would meet his death at Krishna's hands.
On hearing this news, Kamsa imprisoned Devaki and Vasudeva again and renewed his vow to kill Krishna and Balarama. He called for the Keshi demon, and other great demons, and just in case that didn't work, he planned to draw the boys into a wrestling match with two of his strongest wrestlers. Kamsa planned to organize “ Dhanoriya yugana” (wrestling match) and invite Krishna as well as Balrama , so that he could challenge and kill them easily .  This is where   Krishna and Balarama transform  into adulthood, because they never again return to the lighthearted pastimes of their youth, playing in the pastures or dancing with the young gopis.
Tumblr media
(above ~ YASHODA & THE ENTIRE VRINDAVAN TEARFULLY SEND                   KRISHNA & BALARAMA TO THE WRESTLING MATCH ,WHILE                                             AKRURA DRIVE THE CHARIOT .)
Kamsa immediately sent his cousin, Akrura to Gokul for Krishna and Balraama. Every one in Gokul did not want krishna to go. But Krishna  had to convince  them to let him go . He had to   fulfill the purpose  of his Life. Akrura drove the Chariot of Krishna and Balrama towards Mathura. After entering Mathura the chariot suddenly stopped because an old blind lady was standing in the way Chariot, she brought Sandalwood(Chandan) for the royality. her body was deformed , she was a cursed lady because of her past life deeds, She was Manthra in her past Birth. She applied Chandan on Krishna and attained salvation.
Tumblr media
(above ~ KRISHNA KILLING THE MAD ELEPHANT - KUVALAYAPIDAIN.)
Kamsa heard the news of Krishna’s and Balraam’s arrival. He asked his minister to unchain the mad elephant Kuvalayapidain in  krishna’s way. The elephant Kuvalayapida ran towards Krishna destroying everything coming in his way. Krishna cut off his trunk with his sword and the elephant died off pain immediately.
Kamsa was  already delirious with fear waiting for Krishna to arrive, and unable to sleep through the last night because of bad dreams. He saw his headless body in a mirror, everything appeared double, and he saw the covering of the sky as pierced. He saw holes in his shadow and left no footprints when he walked.
Kamsa went to the stadium where the wrestling match took place  and sat on his throne . He asked Akrura to point towards Krishna and Balrama. The matches were not an ordinary wrestling matches .They where set in such a way that the match had only one result - do or die . Death was inevitable for the looser.

A Guide to Sudarshana Maha Mantra [Everything You Need to Know]
Sudarshana Maha Mantra is a powerful mantra which helps us to acquire all-around success and Karya siddhi. It is the most effective way to please Lord Sudarshana. It captured my attention when I’ve first heard of it, so I said to myself that I need to share it!
This mantra will give you a divine aura to both your mental and physical aspects. It will also help you to progress spiritually and lead you to inner peace and serenity. You will get relieved of ill luck, financial crisis, health issues, spiritual dissatisfaction etc. if you chant this mantra regularly.
What is Sudarshana Maha Mantra?
This Sanskrit word ‘Sudarshana’ is a combination of two words. ‘Su’ means divine, ‘Darshana’ means vision so, the word Sudarshana translates to ‘Divine Vision’.
The Sudarshana Maha Mantra is an auspicious and potent mantra that will help you to de-clutter your life from any unnecessary elements that may have been hindering your progress. Sudarshana mantra benefits are not only just a religious aspect, but they heal us physically, mentally and spiritually.
You need to recite is as follows:
“Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Krishnaaya Govindaaya Gopeejana Vallabhaya Paraya Param Purushaaya Paramathman Para Karma Manthtra Yanthra Tanthra Oushadha Visha Aabichara Astra Shastra Samhara Samhara Mrithiyur Mochaya Mochaya Om Namo Bhagavathey Maha Sudarshanaya Om Preem Reem Rum Deepthrey Jwala Pareethaya Sarwa Digkchobhanakaraye Karaeya Hum Phat Para Bhrahmaney Param Jyothish Swaha Om Namo Bhagavathey Sudarshanaya Om Namo Bhagvathey Maha Sudarshanaya Maha Chakraya Maha Jwaalaya Sarva Roga Prashamanaya Karma Bandha Vimochanaya Paadaathimastha Paryanthan Vaada Janitha Rogaan Pitha Janitha Rogaan Shlesma Janitha Rogaan Daathusankalikoth Bhava Naanaa Vikaara Rogaan Nasaya Nasaya Prasamaya Prasamaya“
Meaning of the Sudarshana Maha Mantra in English
Here’s a quick translation of this mantra.
“ O Lord Krishna, you are the controller of this entire universe, the senses. You are the supreme soul and the beloved one among the gopees. Please Param aatma, protect me from all evils, acts of others, evil mantra and weapons. O Lord, who has the entire world on his fingertips, who holds the mighty Sudarshana chakra and wards off evil from all eight directions, I surrender myself to thee.”
How and When to Chant Sudarshana Maha Mantra
This Sudarshana Maha Mantra can be initiated on birth(nakshatra) days and Ekadashi tithi days. It is very beneficial if you can recite it, but with busy work schedules these days, it may not be possible, that’y why you can also recite it on Saturdays and Wednesdays, which are the most favorable days.
This sacred mantra should be recited in the early morning after taking a bath or in the Sandhya Kala, i.e., evening. It is advised to do it sitting in front of an idol or picture of Lord Sudarshana/Lord Vishnu.
You can recite it for 3, 9, 11 or 108 times as per your convenience. And any individual can chant this maha mantra; there are no barriers.
You could also offer sweet food items made with sesame or laddu, tamarind rice, etc.
Tulsi and Lotus flowers can be used to offer to Lord Sudarshana.
Recite it facing the north and east direction.
While chanting the mantra, you can use the rosary beads made of tulsi or clear quartz crystals.
This mantra can also be used in Shri Sudarshana Homa or Yajna. Homas are thousands of years old rituals in which the mantra is recited over the burning fire which is the Yajna. They usually have elaborate setups with other routines. There are hundreds of homas for different purposes, and Sudarshana homa is one of the powerful ones.
Chanting of this mantra over a fire ritual or homa is a Vedic custom which accesses Lord Vishnu’s spiritual weapon, the Sudarshan chakra. The person on behalf of whom the homa is performed should be physically present in the homa or japa.
It won’t be possible for you to perform this homa every day, so you can also do it in the confines of your home. You can sit in front of a picture of Lord Vishnu, offer some flowers, burn a lamp and incense sticks. Take a glass of water and put a few tulsi leaves, cover the glass using the right-hand palm, recite the mantra and then the holy water can be given to people who need it.
If you cannot arrange much, then sit with a clear mind and chant the mantra daily. If you chant the maha mantra regularly with a pure heart, then you will definitely see results.
Who is Lord Sudarshana?
Lord Sudarshana is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu shown holding the Sudarshana Chakra in his rear right hand. In the other three sides, he holds a shank (conch), Gada (mace) and Padma (lotus). When Lord Vishnu is seen in his form holding ths chakra, he is acknowledged as Lord Sudarshana. This form of him is rightly called as the ‘Divine Vision’.
Lord Sudarshana by: Devshoppe
This weapon is of such significance that it is acknowledged as a deity itself. When you chant this powerful mantra, you are showering praise on the weapon by addressing it as a deity named Lord Sudarshana. You hail the powers that it unfolds and invoke the power of Lord Vishnu or Narayana. This powerful mantra helps to harness the auspicious qualities of the Sudarshana chakra which is one of the most feared and dreaded weapons in the universe.
Significance of the Sudarshana Chakra
It is the holy weapon of Lord Vishnu. This chakra has 108 serrated blades or edges. These blades lookout for evil and destroy them. Out of all his weapons, this is the most significant and powerful one. The sharp edges can severe anything in the Universe. The disc gives out immense heat as it is also an aspect of Agni who is the Lord of Fire.
The typical image of Sudarshana chakra contains a circular ring where Lord Sudarshana is shown with Sixteen hands. Around the circle are found flames of fire as a representation of the Sun God. On the other side there is an image of Lord Narasimha.
This ring represents the destruction of all evil forces and imparts victory of good over evil. When hurled at an enemy, this chakra slices through the air like a disc with blazing fire with a tremendous amount of power. It is known that the chakra can search for its enemy in all the four directions. So, this weapon is also considered as the protector of Dharma and justice among humanity.
In the Nrisimha Upanishads, there is narration as to how Lord Vishnu obtained this powerful weapon of destruction. Once when demons began to overthrow the Gods, so the gods went to Lord Vishnu and asked for his help. Vishnu wanted to have a mighty weapon to defeat the demons. So, he started praying to Lord Shiva and decided to offer one thousand lotus flowers and chanting the Shiva Mantras. Vishnu noticed that one of the lotus flowers were missing so he offered to give his own eyes to replace the missing lotus so that he could complete his prayer ritual.
Lord Shiva was so impressed by his exceptional devotion that he granted Vishnu a weapon of his choice. Lord Vishnu asked for the Sudarshan Chakra so that he could fight with the demons. Shiva fulfilled his wish and gifted him the most potent weapon in the universe.
Sudarshan Chakra
It is written in the Puranas that the heavens architect Vishwakarma made the Sudarshan Chakra from shreds of fire of the sun. Vishwakarma’s daughter was married to Lord Surya- the sun god. Due to his intense heat, she could not be with him, so she complained to her father.
To please his daughter, Vishwakarma shaved off the edges of the Sun to make it shine less. The leftover ‘sun dust’ was used to create three powerful celestial objects. The first one was the aerial vehicle called the Pushpaka Vimana, the second being the Trishul- the Trident. And the third one was the Sudarshana Chakra.
That is why the chakra is considered to be a blazing disc having all the power of the sun. It is a portable instrument and the most powerful among all of Vishnu’s weapons. Its presence also implies that Lord Vishnu is the keeper or owner of celestial bodies in the three lokhas (heaven, hell and earth). You can also get the qualities of this weapon such as courage and fearlessness by praying to lord Sudarshana. The ultimate reason for worshipping this chakra is to refine your perception and vision by achieving an enormous amount of spiritual maturity.

Unimaginable Tale of Shri Khatu Shyam- Heroic Barbarbika
All of us find out about The mighty Bhima's kid Ghatotkach. Heroic Ghatotkach was wed to Murvi - the daughter of Datyraj Moore. Maurvi is also understood by the names of Kamkantka and Ahilyawati. Heroic Ghatotkach and also Queen Maurvi got their gem like son. The infant was named Barbarika because of resemblance of his hairs like a Babbar Sher (A kind of Lion in India). This brave Barbarika is understood around the globe today as 'Khatu Shyam'.
In his childhood years, Brave Barbarika was educated by Lord Krishna to support the weak and do charity. With his may he killed many satanic forces that made use of to stop weak rishi - munis in doing the routine - spiritual veneration etc. He bacame the Trainee of a Brahman named Vijay. He secured the Yagya of this Brahmans from the devils as well as aid the Brahman to make sure that Yagya to be completed. Hence Lord Shiva revealed himself to khatushyam mandir and also gifted him 3 arrowheads, that can win all the 3 globes.
When affirmation of Mahabharata battle was done khatu shyam ji asked his mom to attend the battle. Mother had regulated him to join the war with the promise that you will certainly be executing along with the loser in the battle.
The Effect of Barbarika's word to his mom
Krishna after that asks the kid whom he would certainly prefer in the war. Barbarika discloses that he plans to fight for the side whichever is weak. As Pandavas have only 7 Akshouni army, when contrasted to Kauravas eleven, he thinks about that Pandavas are weak and also therefore wishes to sustain them to ensure that Pandavas will certainly become successful. But Krishna asks him, did he seriously gave a thought about the consequences before giving such a word to his mother (to sustain the weak side). Barbarika guesses that his support to the weaker side will certainly make them successful. Then, Krishna exposes the actual effect of his word to his mom:
Krishna informs that, according to the method of Kauravas not the entire eleven Akshouni army will certainly be made use of to wage a battle on the initial day. For this reason, the component of Kaurava's military that comes before Pandavas on the very first day, will certainly be totally ruined by Barbarika But, that component of Kaurava's army that does not come prior to Pandavas on the very first day will become weak. This will certainly force Barbarika to support Kauravas and deal with against Pandavas. Currently, Barbarika will certainly damage that part of Pandavas army that comes prior to Kauravas. The staying component of Pandavas army that does not come before Barbarika will currently end up being extremely weak. Therefore, whichever side he supports will only make the opposite side weak as a result of his remarkable power and also no one will certainly have the ability to defeat him. Thus, in a real war, he will keep oscillating in between both sides, consequently damaging the whole military of both sides and also eventually just he will continue to be. Subsequently, none of the side overcomes as he will be the only single survivor. For this reason, Krishna avoids his participation from the battle by seeking his head in Charity.
When Lord Krishna familiarized concerning the oath of Barbarika he made a decision to evaluate it. When brave Barbarika continued for involvement in the war Lord Krishna fulfilled him in the path inquired about the features of three arrowheads. Drift Barbarika said the very first arrowhead marks all adversary, 2nd damages all the enemies as well as there has actually not been a requirement for the 3rd arrowhead till today. Pointing to a tree, Lord Krishna said, "Intend this space as battlefield and the tree leaves as the opponents as well as use it to reveal your combat skills".
At The Same Time Shri Krishna, unwittingly to Barbarika plucked a leaf from the tree and put it under His foot. After seeing the warfare abilities of Barbarika Shri Krishna asked if all the leaves of the tree have been punctured by the arrowhead? After obtaining an affirmative answer from Barbarika Shri Krishna raised his foot from the leaf and got shocked to see the also that leave was pierced off.
Act of Charity Veer Barbarika.
The guised Krishna after that looked for charity from Barbarika. promised him anything he desired. Krishna asked him to offer his head in charity. Barbarika was stunned. Regarding that all was not as it appeared, he requested the Brahmin to divulge his actual identity. Krishna revealed Barbarika a vision of His Divine Form as well as Barbarika was hence beautified. Krishna then clarified to him that prior to a fight, the head of the bravest Kshatriya requires to be sacrificed, in order to worship/sanctify the battlefield. Krishna said that he considered Barbarika to be the bravest among Kshatriyas, and was hence requesting his head in charity. In fulfilment of his pledge, as well as in compliance with the Krishna's command, Barbarika offered his head to him in charity. This took place on the 12th day of the Shukla Paksha (bright half) of the month of phaagun on Tuesday.
Demonstrating to the war
At the end of the Mahabharata battle Yudhishtira established a success column at Bhramasarovar. Pandavas began to say about that made the Mahabharata battle won. They mosted likely to Shri Krishna to choose this. Lord Krishna said that Barbarika can decide this as he has actually seen the entire battle as a witness.
To decide this, as regulated by Shri Krishna, the Pandavas brought the head of Barbarika and mounted it on the Triumph Column (at Draupadi Koop, Bhramasarovar, Kurukshetra). Barbarika replied that I could only see the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Krishna and Khappar of Draupadi that is all obtained killed by the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Krishna and Draupadi (in form of Devi Kali) drinking the blood of the saints.
At the end of the Mahabharata, this head entered into the earth. According to the elegance of Lord Krishna, in Kaliyuga Shri Krishna Ji showed up in the desire for the king of Khatu location in Rajasthan as well as asked him to collect the holy head and install it in Khatu. Today the very same holy head of heroic Barbarika is worshipped as Shree Khatu Shyam.
The place where Shri Krishna evaluated Barbarika lies at Beed Barbaran near Talwandi Rana in Hisar. The fallen leaves of the Tree there are still punctured. The place where Head of brave Barbarika was positioned on high by Lord Krishna, is presently at Sisla Sismur in the town of Kaithal area. Barbarika is still worshipped there in the name of Babrubhan Nagarkhedh. The place around this location is still very high.
The Triumph Column which was founded by the Pandavas lies Draupadi Koop, Bhramasarovar, Kurukshetra. Barbarika of that age is Shyam in Kalyug. Concerning them it is famous also today that according to the word given to the mom he would certainly side with the individual who lost in this globe. His court is place to offer assistance to people that've lost something in this world.

15 Unknown Facts about Ramayana
#1. King Dashratha had one more child. And here’s how Ram and his brothers were born.
Before Ram and his brothers were born, King Dashratha and his first wife Kaushalya had a daughter named Shanta. Kaushalya’s elder sister Vershini and her husband Raja Rompad (who was a great friend of Raja Dashratha as they studied in same Ashram) had no offspring. Once, when Vershini was in Ayodhya, she joked around asking for a child, to which Dashratha promised her she can adopt his daughter, Shanta. As the promise of ‘Raghukul’ had to be kept, Shanta was adopted by Raja Rompad, the king of Angdesh.
One fine day, when Shanta was grown up to be an adult and was now a very beautiful woman, she was in a conversation with Raja Rompad. At this time, a Brahmin came to visit King Rompad requesting help for cultivation during the monsoon. Busy in the conversation with his adopted daughter Shanta, Raja Rompad ignored the Brahmin who left the kingdom. Lord Indra, the God of rains, was offended because a Brahmin devotee of his was insulted. Lord Indra decided to punish Rompad and hence, it did not rain in the coming monsoon.
To get free from this curse, Raja Rompad called a Rishi, Rishi Rishyasringa, to perform a Yagna asking the Lords for rains, which succeeded. To pay honour to the Rishi, King Dashratha and King Rompad decided to marry-off Shanta to Rishyasringa.
As Dahsratha had no heir yet, he then called Rishyasringa to perform a Yagna for him too, after which the God of Fire gave a dessert to Dashratha for his wives to consume, eating which: Ram and his brothers were born.
#2. The interesting story behind the 10 heads of Ravan: who in fact was an extraordinary Veena Player and a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva.
Considered the antagonist of the epic, Ravan, factually, was a great follower of Shiva, an inordinate scholar, an excellent ruler and a maestro of Veena. Attaining education, Ravan underwent a colossal penance to please Lord Shiva on the banks of river Narmada. Willing to please the Lord, Ravan axed his head. Each time that happened, the head grew back, which continued 10 times, pleasing Shiva. Shiva thus granted 10 heads to Ravan that he sacrificed. These 10 heads indicate the six shastras and the four vedas that Ravan mastered.
After winning over Lanka, Ravan again went to meet Shiva in Kailash, where he was denied entry by Nandi-Shiva’s gatekeeper. Annoyed, Ravan teased him and hence a furious Nandi cursed him that his Lanka would be destroyed by a monkey! To prove his devotedness to Shiva, Ravan tried to lift Kailash. Angry Shiva placed a toe on the hill and Ravan’s hand crushed beneath it, so painfully that his cry shook the world.
To please Shiva now, Ravan plucked out his nerves and played Shiva’s praise to which Shiva released him and gifted him a sword and gave him the name Ravan, which means “the one with terrifying roar”.
#3. Laxman did not sleep for the entire 14 years of Ram’s exile! Urmila, his wife, made a huge sacrifice to make this possible.
Urmila, the wife of Laxman, was ready to accompany him when he was leaving for exile with Ram, but he forced her to stay home. When in forest, Laxman wanted to protect Ram and Sita day and night and wanted to defeat sleep. He thus approached the Goddess of Sleep – Nindra – and asked her to overlook him for the next 14 years. Nindra commanded that someone else must sleep on his behalf to create balance, and Laxman asked her to consider his wife Urmila for this. Nindra went to the Ayodhya Palace and asked Urmaila if she would take up Laxman’s sleep, which she gladly did.
Urmila slept for 14 years, till the day of Ram’s coronation, and had it not been for her, Laxman would never have been able to slay Meghnath as Megnath was granted a boon that he could only be killed by Gudakesh: the one who defeated sleep!
#4. Ram is the reincarnation of Vishnu, but who are his brothers reincarnations of?
As Ram is considered an incarnation of Vishnu, Bharat and Shatrughan are considered to be his Sudarshan-Chakra and Conch-Shell, while Laxman is considered to be his Shesh-Naag, Vishnu’s seat in Vaikunth (adobe of Vishnu or Brahmalok). As Earth rests on Shesh-Naag’s head, whenever Adi Shesh is angered, the Earth shakes. When in the courtroom of Janak (father of Sita), during Sita’s ‘swayamvar’, nobody could lift the bow of Shiva, Janak got upset and declared that the Earth is now devoid of strong men. This angered Laxman so much that the Earth started to tremble.
Laxman was later born as Balram, the elder brother of Lord Krishna. Laxman had complained that since he is born as the younger brother, he has to obey all commands of Ram and thus, his wish to be the elder brother was fulfilled when he was born as Balram.
#5. A promise of Ram became the cause of Laxman’s death.
After Sita was consumed by Mother Earth, Ram knew that his duties on Earth were over and he decided to return back to Vaikunth, but that couldn’t be accomplished as Hanuman won’t allow Yam, the God of Death to meet Ram.
To distract Hanuman, Ram threw his ring in the underworld (Paatal) and asked Hanuman to procure it. Ram then invited Yam, but he put forth a condition that the conversation between them must remain unrevealed and if anyone intercepts the conversation, Ram would kill the person. Ram asked Laxman to guard the gate to ensure no one came in to intercept the meeting of Lord Ram and Yam.
In the meantime, angry sage Durvasa came in to meet Ram only to be halted by Laxman. Angry Durvasa warned that he would curse Ayodhya if not allowed to meet Lord Ram. Seeing the situation, Laxman decided to go and talk to Ram and hence intercepted the meeting. After this incident, to fulfil his brother’s promise, Laxman went to Saryu and gave up his life.
Laxman’s death before Ram’s was necessary as the Shesh-Naag (the seat of Vishnu) that was Laxman had to return first, before Vishnu returned to Vaikunth. Vishnu here was Lord Ram.
#6. Here’s how Hanuman got the name “Bajrangbali”.
After the Ram Rajya was established, once when Sita was applying vermilion (kumkum) to her forehead, a curious Hanumam asked her the reason for this. Sita explained that it was a ritual that would result into a longer and a healthier life for Ram. Enthusiast Hanuman, as big a devotee of Lord Ram he was, went on and covered his entire body with kumkum and hence turned completely orange! Bajrang means orange and hence came the name: Bajrangbali!
#7. Once, Ram issued a death sentence to Hanuman and a war between the two started! *whoa*
After Lord Ram became the King, once, when the court was adjourned, Narada – known for creating disharmony between Ram and Hanuman – asked Hanuman to greet all sages except Vishwamitra, since he was a King once. Hanuman did so but that did not affect Vishwamitra.
Narada went on and instigated Vishwamitra, which boomed up his anger so much that he went to Ram and asked him to punish Hanuman to death. Vishmamitra being Ram’s guru, Ram could not ignore his command and punished Hanuman to death by arrows. Next day in the field, the statement was to be executed, but all arrows failed to do any harm to Hanuman as he kept chanting Ram!
Since Ram had to abide by his Guru’s word, he decided to use the Brahmastra. To the surprise of all, Hanuman’s chants of Ram even failed the most powerful Brahmastra! Seeing this, Narada went to Vishwamitra and confessed his mistake, stopping the war!
#8. Bali of Ramayana became the reason for the death of Lord Krishna from the Mahabharata!
Bali, the elder brother of Sugreev, known for his strength, had a boon that whosoever engaged in a combat with him would lose half of his strength to Bali. Invincible Bali was challenged once by Ravan for a combat. Enraged Bali, grabbed Ravan by his head and took him round the world, making Ravan accept his defeat.
Bali, when took over Sugreev’s wife and the kingdom of Kishkinda forcefully, Sugreev fled the kingdom and met Hanuman in the woods for help. In the interim, Ram killed a demon named Kadambh in the forest while searching for Sita and a curse-free Kadambh now asked Ram to meet Sugreev to help him from Bali.
Ram decided to execute Bali after meeting Sugreev.
Ram shot Bali from behind the tree, and Bali alleged that Ram had betrayed him as he didn’t challenge Bali for a combat. To this, Ram explained that if a man ill-behaves a woman, it is the duty of a righteous man to punish him. Ram then promised Bali that in his next life, he would become the reason of Vishnu’s death and thus take revenge of this incident.
Bali was later reborn as Jara, the hunter, who was the reason of Krishna’s death in the Dwapar Yug!
#9. Had it not been for Soorpnakha, there wouldn’t have been any Ramayana. And here’s why Soorpnakha became the sole catalyst of the Battle of Lanka.
Many accounts of the Ramayana, except that of Valmiki, suggest that Soorpnakha, the sister of Ravan, had no romantic interest in Ram. Valmiki’s account suggests that Soorpnakha, or Minaxi, approached Ram because she had a romantic interest in him, but was rejected as Ram was committed to Sita. Soorpnakha also approached Laxman but Laxman too rejected her. Seeking revenge, Soorpnakha enticed Ravan to capture Sita, which he did, triggering the Battle of Lanka.
Other accounts however suggest that Soorpnakha, who was first married to Dushtabuddhi Rakasha, enticed Ravan to kidnap Sita to seek revenge for her husband’s death. Dushtabuddhi maintained good relations with Ravan until he started demanding more power: this resulted into Ravan killing Dushtabuddhi. Deeply disturbed by the death of her husband, it is said that Soorpnakha realised Ram could well be the only person to be powerful enough to kill Ravan, and thus got her nose chopped from Laxman (by proposing her) and then enticing Ravan to abduct Sita.
Despite Ravan’s family’s reservations and fears, considering Ram’s power, Ravan did abduct Sita causing the Battle of Lanka. It is thus believed that Soorpnakha played a pivotal role in making of the Ramayana and her absence would have ensured no such story to come into existence!
#10. Kuber, the Lord of Wealth, was the stepbrother of Ravana and the actual ruler of Lanka. Ravana fought Kuber to then conquer Lanka!
Lord Brahma produced ten Prajapatis, or mind-born sons when he created the Universe. These ten were the father of the human race and one of them was Sage Pulatsya, the father of Vishrava. Vishrava – a sagacious scholar, mesmerised Rishi Bhardwaj so much that he offered his daughter Ilavida to Vishrava for marriage. Ilavida gave Vishrava a son, Kuber, the Lord of Wealth.
An asura Sumali and Tataka, decided that their daughter Kaiseki should marry the most virtuous man and hence they planned a meeting of Kaiseki and Vishrava. He fell in love with her and fathered Ravan and his brothers. Hence, Ravan was a Brahmasura.
Vishwakarma, the architect of Universe, created Lanka for Shiva; and Vishrava later asked it from Shiva as a dakshina. Vishrava’s son Kuber then inherited Lanka and shared all his wealth his half-brothers including Ravan. However, after getting all kinds of booms from Brahma, Ravan considered himself the most powerful of the lot and demanded entire Lanka from Kuber. When Kuber did not pay heed to his demands, Ravan fought Kuber and conquered Lanka.
Later, after killing Ravan, and returning to Rameshwar, Lord Ram created the Shiva Temple so as to reimburse his sin of Brahmanhatya.
#11. How Lord Ram affected the tail of Squirrels.
While creating the bridge to get to Lanka, a squirrel was helping the monkeys headed by Nal and Neel (trained by Vishawakarma). Seeing a squirrel carry beach sand for the Setu (the bridge from the tip of India to Sri Lanka), some monkeys started laughing! Upset squirrel went and sat near Ram. Acknowledging the tiny creature’s dedication, Ram cuddled its back and hence ever since, squirrels carry white stripes as the finger signs of Ram!
#12. The final victory over Ravan was made possible by Bali’s Son’s ill-treating of Mandodari, the wife of Ravan.
When only Ravan was left to battle with Ram and his army of monkeys, Ravan organised a Yagna for his victory. The caveat was: Ravan could not leave the Yagna. Knowing this, Ram asked Angada, the son of Bali, to head a group of monkeys to impure and extinguish the Yagna.
Reaching the palace of Ravana, Angada and his group created mayhem but Ravana was indifferent to this. In order to grab Ravan’s attention, and make him leave the Yagna, Angad then pulled Mandodari’s hair in front of Ravan. When Ravan still continued to focus on the Yagna, pleasing the Gods, Mandodari pleaded Ravan to help her and she taunted to Ravan mentioning what Ram was doing for his wife! This made Ravan leave the Yagna, and Angad and his group fled the palace as their purpose was done.
#13. Lord Indra’s jealousy cursed Kumbhakaran with his sleeping pattern!
Once brothers Ravan, Vibhishan and Kumbhakaran were asked for a boon they wanted by Brahma. Indra, on the other hand, was jealous of Kumbhakaran’s wit and valour and thought that Kumbhakaran would ask for Indra’s Indrasan – the Kingdom of Heavens. Fearing this, Indra requested Goddess Saraswati to tie Kumbhakaran’s tongue, compelling him to ask for eternal Nindrasan. Brahma granted Kumbhakaran the boon of eternal sleep.
Seeing this, Ravan requested Brahma to undo this as it was really a curse. Brahma did undo it, but he decided that Kumbhakaran would sleep for half a year and then wake up the rest of the year – during which he ate eternally. During the Battle of Lanka, Kumbhakaran was asleep and was walked over by a thousand elephant as that was the only way he could have woken up!
#14. Hanuman also created his version of Ramayan – which was supposedly a superior version compared to that of Valmiki’s – but Hanuman destroyed it!
After the war when Hanuman went to Himalaya for continuing his reverence of Lord Ram, Hanuman etched his version of Ram’s tale on the walls of Himalayas with his nails.
When Maharshi Valmiki visited Hanuman to show his version of Ramayana, he saw the walls and felt sad as Valmiki believed that Hanuman’s Ramayana was superior and that his arduously created version of the Ramayana would remain unnoticed. Realising this, Hanuman discarded his version. Taken aback, Valmiki said he would love to be reborn to sing the glory of Hanuman!
#15. The first letter of every 1000th Shloka of the Ramayana together make up the Gayatri Mantra!
There are 24 letters in the Gayatri Mantra and there are 24,000 Shlokas in the Valmiki Ramayana. The first letter of every 1000th Shloka together of the Ramayana forms the Gayatri Mantra, making this revered mantra the essence of the epic. While the Gayatri Mantra has been actually first mentioned in the Rig Veda, it has gained significance thanks to the Ramayana.

Significance of Naraka Chaturdasi, HAPPY DIWALI . This day is celebrated to remember the victory of Lord Krishna over the king named Narakasura. The mythology behind this story goes like that Narakasura was a cruel king. He defeated the Gods and had imprisoned around sixteen thousand women. He did so as he was told that only a woman could kill him. He also stole the earrings of Aditi (the mother of the Gods). The Gods decided that they must inform the Lord Krishna about the atrocities of Narakasura . The king of the Gods Indra himself went to Lord Krishna with the request to kill the Narakasura. When Lord Krishna came to know what Narakasura was up to. He decided to challenge him into a battle. Lord Krishna asked his wife Satyabhama to come along. Satyabhama was the incarnation of Bhudevi (goddess of earth). Satyabhama agreed and joined her husband willingly as she had to play an important role in this fierce battle. Lord of Garuda Lord Krishna sat on his giant eagle named Garuda for this battle. As they approached the palace of Narakasura they realised that it was protected by magic. There was a mountain range that protected the palace of the Narakasura. Lord Krishna shattered the whole mountain range and made way to the palace of Narakasura. There were many more mystical barriers thatLord Krishna had to break before he entered the palace of Narakasura. The final challenge for Lord Krishna was a demon named Mura who protected the palace of Narakasura. Lord Krishna used all his weapons but none worked on Mura. He finally used his extremely powerful Sudarshan chakra and killed Mura. The Killing of Narakasura After the demise of Mura Narakasura came out to fight with Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna had become a little weak by all the battle that he fought so long. He fainted while fighting Narakasura. When Satyabhama saw this she took the place of Lord Krishna and she killed Narakasura. This was because Narakasura had a boon that only a woman could kill him. All the women who were taken captive by the cruel king were made free. Lord Krishna appointed the son of Narakasura to the throne. Son of Narakasura was a devotee of Lord Krishna. In his death bed Narakasu

Chakratirtha
Chakratirtha Chakratirtha Chakratirtha is one of the five pilgrimages of Shrikshetra. According to the autobiography of the temple, Markandeya, Shwetaganga, Mahodadhi, Indradyumna and Chakratirtha are known as Panchatirtha. Location-- It is located about 3 km northeast of the temple near the mouth of the Banki. The vast area from Netaji Subhas Bose Chowk to Pentakata is called Chakratirtha. It used to be a confluence of rivers and seas. The exact time has not been determined. According to various books, its history dates back to the Mahabharata. There are many historical and sights here. For example: Bedi Hanuman (Daria Mahabir), Mahalakshmi's father's house Chakranrsingh temple, Sunar Gaurang temple, etc. Legend-- The area is known as Chakratirtha due to Lord Vishnu's chakra. The stone wheel in the Chakratirtha temple is said to be a legend. An elephant was attacked by a crocodile while drinking water at the mouth of the river and took refuge in Lord Vishnu to escape. Lord Vishnu sent his beautiful wheel and rescued the elephant. According to other sources, after the destruction of the Yadu dynasty, Krishna for some reason ordered Sudarshan to behead his son Pradyumna. But Sudarshan Kamsari disappeared without returning to Lord Krishna's hands. During the Himalayan pilgrimage, the Pandavas found it and threw it into the air. The area has been called Chakratirtha ever since. It is believed that the blue wheel was blown away by a wind in Puri and fell on the Chakratirtha. In addition, there are descriptions of the continent. Chakratirtha Temple-- After a pond is buried here, a temple is being built and Shri Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra and Shri Sudarshan are being worshiped along with Chakranarayana. In the middle, a Narayan statue made of black granite is called Chakranarayana. There are three forms of Thakur Prabhu Narasimha, namely: Abhay Narasimha, Chakra Narasimha and Lakshmi Narasimha. Shri Balabhadra is worshiped as Abhay Narasimha, Goddess Subhadra is worshiped as Chakra Narasimha and Shri Gannath is worshiped as Lakshmi Narasimha. In the Puranas, the first three beings of creation are Thakur Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar, respectively, Chakra Narsingh, Lakshmi Narsingh and Abhay Narsingh. Every year, obedience comes from Lord Jagannath to Narsingh here. The birth anniversary of Narsingh is celebrated in this temple with great pomp. Balaram Das-- There is a tool temple of Balaram Das here. Humiliated during the procession, he built three chariots in the sand of the rest of the mouth and defeated the three Thakurs. As a memorial, there are sand chariots around the temple. The tomb of Balaram Das is also in a state of disrepair. Mahalakshmi's father's house-- This is Mahalakshmi's father's house. The eighth chapter of Srimad-Bhagavata describes the appearance of Lakshmi during the churning of the sea. Here is the temple of Lakshmi's father Barun. It is described as the father-in-law of the Lord. Daria Mahabir-- The river Mahavira (Bedhi Hanuman) temple is under the Shree Gannath Ballabh Math. The north-facing Hanuman has a mattress in his right hand and a bat in his left. It doesn't look like it's surrounded by clothes. On its south side are two small Hanuman idols, Jagmohan, Lakshmi, Savitri and Garuda in front of the Hanuman. On the left, the only idol of Shri Gannath is worshiped by Madhav and the octagonal ladugopala is worshiped at the feet. The glory of gold-- The real name of the Thakur of this temple is Shri Gaurakishore Jiu. Shri Gauragopal Jiu, built of octagonal metal, is worshiped here. Sree Gauranga's body is golden or golden in color. Since Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu belongs to the Vaishnava community, Gaudiya is worshiped in the Vaishnava Dharma tradition. The monastery has a flower tomb and a shrine of Srikishorananda.
