Hi, My name is Paulet Okonji, and I am a 19-year-old student pursuing a degree in computer science in the USA. I am originally from South Africa, but I have been recently facing financial challenges after the company that was funding my education was unfortunately liquidated due to the difficulties posed by load shedding back home.
Being in the Software Engineering and software development industry/ field has always been a dream of mine. I am deeply passionate about my field of study. And it has shown throughout my academic journey, as I have maintained strong academic results of a 3.9 GPA and as l have been on the Dean's list for two semesters in a row. However, the sudden loss of financial assistance has put a strain on my ability to continue my studies.
I never thought I’ll be reaching out to request funding support to continue my education but I have no choice. As I need $16 000 to return to school and register for my fall semester which is in a few days. Despite my parent’s efforts, they are unable to afford the tuition fees required for my academic pursuits. The opportunity to study in the USA has been nothing but a life-changing experience for me even though I am going through hard times at the moment.
I believe that with the right support, I can fulfill my potential and make a meaningful impact in the world of technology. Any assistance, no matter how small, would make a significant difference in my educational journey and future.
I am more than willing to provide any additional information or documentation to support my request. Your generosity would not only change my life but also inspire hope and perseverance in the face of challenges.

World Human Day, also known as World Humanitarian Day, is observed annually on August 19th. This day serves to honor humanitarian workers who risk their lives in order to provide aid and assistance to people affected by crises such as conflicts, natural disasters, and other emergencies around the world. It also aims to raise awareness about humanitarian issues and advocate for the well-being and rights of people in need.
The United Nations General Assembly designated August 19th as World Humanitarian Day in 2008, commemorating the date of the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, which resulted in the deaths of 22 UN staff members. This tragic event underscores the risks and sacrifices made by humanitarian workers in their efforts to provide assistance to those in need, often in dangerous and challenging environments.
World Humanitarian Day provides an opportunity to recognize the courage, dedication, and selflessness of humanitarian aid workers, as well as to advocate for the protection of civilians, humanitarian workers, and humanitarian principles. It also encourages individuals, governments, and organizations to support humanitarian efforts and contribute to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable populations worldwide.

Funeral Costs for Adolfo Yambao
Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,
We are reaching out on behalf of the Adolfo family during their profound grief. Help his family cover the funeral expenses for his recently deceased father.
Donate on GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/b56c23c7
“My dad, Adolfo Yambao, was a kind, gentle, and simple man who lived and loved with his whole heart. His journey embodied the struggle and sacrifice familiar to so many other Filipinos who left home and came to America in search of a better life and future for their families. He spent his career working 16-hour shifts, caring for patients across the Los Angeles area, until his retirement at the remarkable age of 75. He enjoyed quietly the last decade of his life with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Dolfo, as he was known by so many who loved him, was a skilled violinist who loved to dance and was the most die-hard Lakers fan anyone ever knew. His favorite people in the world were Kobe Bryant and Manny Pacquiao. To the annoyed amusement of a number of his children, he often praised Kobe and Manny with the pride of a father bragging about his favorite child.
By the time Bryant passed away in 2020, walking had become a strenuous physical struggle for Dad, but he was so overcome with emotion that he made the commute to the Staples Center to pay his last respects with the rest of the city mourning at the memorial. He brought people together with a shared love for basketball, boxing, wrestling, and drugstore-brand ice cream. His whole life, Dad worked hard and lived to the fullest; everything he ever did was out of love and for the sake of others. He was a devout Catholic who prayed often and embodied compassion, humility, and self-sacrifice. He never missed Sunday Mass and never skipped his 6 p.m. prayers.
He often assured the family that whenever the time came, he'd be ready to die without fear or regret. Dad did his best to take care of everyone around him, but he never considered that there would be a need to plan for major funeral expenses in the event of his death. He just never expected or realized a simple Catholic service and cremation would be as expensive as they have turned out to be. He was never one to ask anything big of anyone during his life, but his last wishes were communicated clearly in the years leading to his death: a simple cremation in accordance with the Catholic Church.
His sudden passing shook our family to the core, and we were unprepared for the overwhelming expenses incurred from his funeral arrangements in the absence of final expense insurance coverage. The costs of the memorial service and cremation out of pocket became a source of financial stress, and we have yet to cover the costs of the niche location that will serve as his final resting place. He leaves behind our mom, and his wife Leony, who now faces the bleak prospect of spending the rest of her life without her constant companion of over 40 years. We humbly ask for your support in helping cover Dad's final expenses and support his grieving elderly widow.
Mom wishes only to see his ashes properly placed in a niche location, where she intends to join him one day and spend the rest of her life in the home they shared and built so many memories in together in Los Angeles. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and graciously accepted. Hence, we are setting up this GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $35,000 to support the Adolfo family with Funeral service expenses: To provide a respectful and dignified farewell to Adolfo.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will be immensely appreciated and will go directly towards these necessary expenses. Your support will mean the world to Adolfo’s family, and it will go a long way in easing their burdens during this time of mourning. We understand that these are challenging times for everyone, so if you cannot contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign on your social media platforms to help us reach a wider audience. Your prayers, shares, and messages of encouragement are equally treasured. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support. Let's come together and extend our love and support to the Adolfo family, just as Adolfo did for all of us.”
- With the deepest gratitude
Jacqueline Yambao

A Mother's Cry from Gaza: From the Heart of Fear and Suffering😞🍉
Hello, I am Inas, a mother of five children from Gaza. We fled our home with nothing—no clothes, no safety—escaping the tanks in front of us. My husband was hit by a bomb, and now he lies wounded, needing surgery to remove the shrapnel that threatens his life.
My son Musab had just finished high school before the war, dreaming of entering engineering, but fate has forced him to search for food for us among the ruins. My younger children, who were once dedicated to their studies, now carry water that is heavier than they are, just to survive.
My little daughter Rimas fell ill due to malnutrition and spent time in the hospital. I lost my father in this cursed war, and I have become the sole provider for my children. I would never ask for help if it weren’t for the overwhelming fear I have for my children, a mother desperate to bring them to safety, but I have no means to do so.
My children are terrified to leave the tent. Every time they remember passing in front of tanks and fires, fear grips them. Our home, which took me years to build, is now completely destroyed.
Today, I reach out to you with a broken heart, pleading for help from anyone who can assist us. We need support to cover my husband’s surgery, provide food and treatment for my children. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives. This is not just financial aid; it's a chance to restore hope to a family shattered by war.
Please donate to save my family and give my children the chance for a safe life and a better future.🙏
Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #124 )
But now, in a tent and an unclean life, we are cheating and dying

I keep catching all these super fantastic and mega-flattering portraits done by AI. I think they look great and can really show us how our higher selves appear on the other side of reality! But I will always prefer art done by an imperfect humans, who worked hard to develop skill, heart and intuition. Here some hand made portraits done by myself and some of my artist friends! Sending extra love to digital portraitists, who might be going through some intense feelings these days! #aiart #aiportraits #portrait #selfportrait #supporthumans #humanart #keepitreal #reflections (at Saint Petersburg, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl34aitOvGe/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tu me fais pitié.
Tu es heureuse mais tu as mal.
En réalité, tu as peur.
