Hey- I’m Brittany!

This is an older picture of me but it’s actually of me looking happy so I had to use this one!! This is my first time participating in disabled swifties selfie night (and I’m late go figure).

I deal with a lot on a daily basis… it’s all “invisible” so most people have no idea or think I’m fine when I’m not.

Mentally: I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety badly since I was 12. I started self harming when I was 13. My eating disorder started when I was really young like 8yrs old but it got bad when I was 13. Everything did. I have really bad PTSD from sexual abuse as a child, and I’ve also been raped as an adult. I also am and on again off again recovering heroin addict. Every day is a massive struggle to get through.

Physically: I have degenerative disc disease. Basically my spine is deteriorating at a very fast rate. I had back surgery when I was 12yrs old. My last MRI showed all but 3 discs either bulging or herniated. Needless to say I’m in extreme pain every day. I also suffer from extreme tension headaches, mainly stemming from my neck. (Being prescribed pain pills at such a young age is what started my addiction). I also have an issue where my ankles, knees, hands, and joints in general swell badly and it’s really painful. My doctors couldn’t figure out why so I still don’t know.

Oh. I also lost my health insurance so I go through all of this with no help.

Every day I want to die. But Taylor gets me through. And thanks to a few amazing souls, I finally am going to get to see her live. I finally get to have my number one dream come true. So I’m forging ahead, fearless.

THIS FANDOM IS AMAZING AND I CANT BELIEVE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU’VE GIVEN ME!!
