Histoire
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(max 8).

A new trailer has been released for Tactics Ogre: Reborn, which is set to release November 11, 2022.

Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough
Tumblr media
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough guide. This is meant to inform readers about which events trigger achievements. We know that there are people who have a hard time finishing the Tactics Ogre Reborn game. If you are one of those who find it difficult to finish the game, let's take you to our Tactics Ogre Reborn guide. #TacticsOgreReborn
Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn achievements guide/walkthrough for ! This is meant to inform readers about which events trigger achievements. I've added some of my own insight after playing through the game to help you plan for the longest achievement, Necromancer Scourge, and the eventual 100%. FAQ How many routes are there? Just like in the 2010 release, there are 3 routes—Chaos, Neutral, and Law. How do I go on the Neutral route? To enter Neutral, you have to go refuse Leonar in Balmamusa at the end of CH1—effectively entering CH2. At the end of CH2, you must then rejoin Leonar to enter CH3 Neutral. Do I need to complete all the content to get 100% of the achievements? You only need to complete up to Coda Episode 1: The Songstress. Does it matter what route I start and end with? In relation to achievements, it does not matter which one you start/end with. Thanks to the World Tarot (unlocked after completing CH4 for the first time), you can go back to all the relevant points in the story to redo events and unlock the achievements tied to them. For the purpose of this guide, I will start with Neutral, then Chaos, and end with Law. I'm ending with the Law route in the event that you want to proceed with the rest of the Coda episodes for the sake of fluidity. You can do it in any order without any major consequences to your final run. CH1 Going forward, I will roughly list the battles involved in each chapter. I will write larger notes about the more important battles that I think are valuable in relation to achievements and maybe other end-game content. There is blood on my hands, how long till it lies on my heart? Tynemouth Hill (Canopus joins) > Krysaro - If you save Donnalto in Krysaro, he joins you along with 2 other units (Sara and Voltare) that come with higher base stats than generic recruits. I personally kept Voltare trained up all the way to the end as a reliable knight. Donnalto is a great Cleric by virtue of being a unique character. He has high MND growth so if you feel good about your other cleric(s), later on you can turn him into a Wizard/Warlock to have a reliable unit for debuffs (MND helps with debuff success chance). Golborza Plain > (choice 1 = must protect Cistina) The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime - You don't have to protect Cistina, but she's a great rotational unit. She and her sisters are all great Shaman candidates (each locked into an element) and at least one of them is required to complete the Shrine Battle achievements in chapter 4. Phidoch Castle (cutscene) > Almorica Castle (cutscene)
Tumblr media
Hero of Golyat Rescued Duke Ronwey from imprisonment in Almorica Castle. Qadriga Fortress - Before entering this battle, head to the shop under the consumables section and buy 3-4 Grimoire Exorcisme. This lets you exorcise STILLED (downed) undead units that are within melee range of the item user to greatly reduce the exorcism pressure on your cleric(s).
Tumblr media
Corpse Dancer Confronted the Necromancer Nybeth at Qadriga Fortress and put an end to his dark experiments. Lake Bordu > Xeod Moors - Focus Ganpp, Berda, or Orbda to end the battle immediately. The battle ends when any of them reach low HP. Balmamusa - There are 2 battles in Balmamusa. The 2nd battle happens after you make a choice that propels you into a specific route. - Refuse to participate → CH2 Chaos
Tumblr media
Fallen Hero Refused to participate in Duke Ronwey's heartless plan to massacre the innocents of Balmamusa, for which you were then blamed and made a wanted man. - Participate → CH2 Law
Tumblr media
Butcher of Golyat Carried out Duke Ronwey's chilling plan to slay the five thousand innocents in Balmamusa. CH2 Chaos - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough This world can be put to rights.Port Asyton (Arycelle retreats at low HP) > Rhea Boum > Xeod Moors (keep Arycelle alive) - Another optional unit to keep alive to recruit later on. She's the only Archer on my team and has her moments with a bow/crossbow depending on the terrain. Lake Bordu (keep Arycelle alive) > Tynemouth Hill (keep Arycelle alive) - If she survives, the troublesome archer will finally join your team after the conclusion of this battle. Depending on which job you picked for Denam, equip Heal on him to keep Arycelle healthy. Open Warren Report > Talk > "Phorampa Open to Hunting" - Reading this Talk topic unlocks the repeatable dungeon—Phorampa Wildwood. I suggest visiting this place now to recruit a couple of Dragons (for tanking) and any number of Gryphon/Cockatrice for scaling walls in upcoming battles. Gryphons and Cockatrice are good nimble units that scale walls easily and can act as diversions to allow Canopus to revive/heal important AI guest units using the Beastmaster's Lobber skill. - If you want to recruit Deneb and her unique Wicce class later, I suggest taming 1 of each Dragon now. Arc/Dark Dragons and Hydras can be found in later story battles and dungeons.
Tumblr media
Man of Proven Worth Joined forces with Arycelle—one of the few who knew the truth of Balmamusa—and fought free of a trap laid by Vyce. Krysaro > Qadriga > (agree to save) Ndamsa> Golyat > Boed Fortress (cutscene) - Keep Folcurt, Bayin, and Cistina alive for a chance to recruit them at Boed Fortress - I suggest having at least 1 Dragoon on standby for the Qadriga and Ndamsa battles. - At the Boed Fort cutscene, select "Come with us" for an achievement. - Folcurt is a great Knight/TK candidate & Bayin is stronger than your current Wizard
Tumblr media
Man Among Friends Befriended members of the Liberation Front at Boed Fortress. The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime - Denam and Catiua start off far from your main force. Thankfully, Catiua's AI will make the wise choice of retreating. I suggest setting Denam as a melee job for survival reasons and creating 2 choke points with melee units at points A and B (marked below). Ensure that the B group at least has Rampart aura and/or Phalanx. Xapan's own units will bodyblock the choke points by crowding the entry points. - Use Poison to debuff multiple enemies and keep enemy clerics busy. Utilize this window of opportunity and the stalemate to prepare Canopus/Beasts/Archers/Wizards with card buffs for a 1-round nuke on Xapan.
Tumblr media
Almorica Castle - The Gates of Almorica - Focus Ramidos - Almorica Passageway - There are a few ways you can approach this, but it's typically good to debuff Vyce with Breach (Dynast-King's Mead). Pick up buff cards when possible. On the same note, smack Vyce into a red debuff card or magic buff card (to overwrite his current buffs) when possible. Entering this fight as a Berserker with Sanguine Assault or a Knight with Rampart and Phalanx is recommended. There are other ways to win this fight, but these are my recommendations. - After defeating Vyce, you are presented with the option to rejoin the Resistance. - Rejoin → CH3 Neutral
Tumblr media
The Hero Returned Heeded Sir Leonar's entreaty to return to the Resistance. - Refuse → CH3 Chaos
Tumblr media
Man of Principles Refused Sir Leonar's entreaty to return to the Resistance. CH2 Law I will fear no reproach.Balmamusa > Xeod Moors > Rhea Boum Aqueduct > Port Asyton - Although the map is pretty narrow, plug a couple of entry points using Knights and their Rampart Aura. Focus any Octopus that enters your Rampart range. Although Josephine is weak, she's nested in a very safe position so rushing her isn't the best move or you risk getting your flank exposed to Octopi. - Port Asyton features 2 fights. The second fight is triggered when you try to move OUT of Port Asyton—triggering a fight with Arycelle. Read all current Talk topics on your Warren Report > The Reisan Way - This is one of the easier 'Save the AI' battles. Ravness isn't fragile and she's at an acceptable distance from the enemy. Just move your squad up as normal to protect her. Port Asyton (restock) > Qadriga Fortress - Employ a Lobber Canopus to buy time. Xapan starts is in a very dangerous position and can easily get overwhelmed if left unsupported. - If he survived, you'll have the option to recruit Xapan after the battle.
Tumblr media
Piratebane Saved Xapan the Mercenary from pirates at Qadriga Fortress. Tynemouth Hill - Phorampa Wildwoods becomes available by reading the related Talk topic. Golborza Plain > Phidoch Castle > The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime Rhime - Vyce and Arycelle spawn on the high ground directly in front of you. Just rush Vyce since he's in an accessible position to end the battle swiftly. Use Magic and Crossbows to support your melee since you don't want to clog up the only path leading to him with too many melee units. Ignore Arycelle so you can recruit her later.Almorica Castle > The Gates of Almorica > Almorica Passageway x2 - Though the second battle in Almorica Passageway looks like a lopsided 4v1 going against Leonar's favor, treat it like you would any 1v1 duel and employ the same strategy (Buffs/Debuffs) because Leonar will still hit hard.
Tumblr media
Leader of Men Struck down Sir Leonar after he slew Duke Ronwey, becoming the leader of the Resistance. Enter → CH3 Law NOTE: War Chest At the start of Chapter 3, you will have access to the Ranged Weapons II recipe from the shop. This recipe allows you to craft Baldur Blowguns by simply buying the ingredients from the shop directly. It costs a total of 2,450 Goth to craft and sells for 6,400 Goth—almost tripling your investment. By using this recipe, you can earn unlimited Goth and focus solely on your battles. If this method doesn't sit right with you, Phorampa Wildwoods can be farmed for Oberyths instead. Anyway, use the money earned to stock up on HP consumables (to craft up to stronger versions), consumable buffs and debuffs such as Plumes and Dynast-King's Mead, and craft Fruits of the Adept for light MP restoration. CH3 Neutral - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough There will be sacrifices.By selecting this route, Arycelle's loyalty will plummet meaning she may leave your squad if left unattended. To remedy this, go do a few training battles to raise her proficiency with another weapon. Gaining a few weapon levels will quickly restore her loyalty. Almorica Castle (automatic battle w/ Hektor) > Boed Fortress - You'll have to save Cerya to earn the achievement. This is one of those times when you should send up Canopus as a temporary beastmaster with Lobber to heal Cerya. Her AI will gradually retreat down to your squad. - Along with Canopus, it's a good idea to field a few of the Gryphons and Cockatrice you should have recruited from Phorampa in CH2. Their inability to equip armor will spread out the enemy units' attention evenly among your flying units and make healing Cerya a little more manageable.
Tumblr media
Dark Knight Slayer Slew the Dark Knight Oz at Boed Fortress and rescued Cerya. Tynemouth Hill - Don't kill any of Ganpp's beasts or else it will trigger disadvantageous conditions for your team. Aside from the usual breach/weaken strat, you can also charm some of the reptiles before focusing down Ganpp. Read all Talk topics in your Warren Report > Krysaro (cutscene) > Qadriga Fortress - You can try to save all 3 of your incapacitated allies here, but it will be tough. Achievement-wise there is no major consequence in failing to save them. I personally only managed to save Phaesta and Tamuz and I was still able to get the achievement by rescuing Leonar at the end of this battle.
Tumblr media
Miracle Worker Rescued Sir Leonar from imprisonment in Qadriga Fortress. - You'll also have the chance to recruit Hobyrim afterward (no achievement in Nuetral) Port Asyton - Undead level - bring Grimoire Exorcisme and Cleric(s) with Exorcism - Revive Oelias and protect both allies to recruit them after the battle. - If you recruit Dievold and Oelias and do the subsequent battles below, you will have the option in CH4 to pursue Nybeth in the Palace of the Dead. Mount Hedon > Hagia Banhamuda > Ndamsa Fortress - NOTE: Field Oelias AND Dievold in the Ndamsa Fortress battle if you want to fight Nybeth in PotD CH4. You can always fight him in other routes so don't worry too much about it. - Before fighting Nybeth in Ndamsa Fortress, I suggest performing a gear check and crafting +1 rings granting elemental resistances. I remember Nybeth having extremely high INT compared to my ~100 resistances and it's somewhat of a painful fight. Don't clump up your units because all the enemy casters have access to AoE spells. - This is another battle where fielding Gryphons and Cockatrice along with any winged units can be beneficial to avoid clumping at the main entry point leading up to the fortress. Knock Nybeth off the ledge if the opportunity presents itself.
Tumblr media
Almorica Castle (custcene) > Coritanae Keep - Gates of Coritanae - use Dragoon(s) to create an early advantage - Coritanae Ward - Use Knights (or any unit) with Rampart Aura to clog up the middle path. Push Xaebos into a red card if the opportunity presents itself (shield bash or tremendous shot). Additionally, I recommend lobbing a Rood Upright consumable debuff on Xaebos to inflict Enfeeble (-magic resist). As an armored-type boss, he's very resistant to arrows and regular melee attacks. Debuffing him with enfeeble and using Ninjutsu/Magic will definitely get the job done.
Tumblr media
Slayer of the Dying Defeated Sir Xaebos, commander of the Galgastani army remnants, at Coritanae Keep. Mount Weobry > The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime > Almorica Castle (custcene) - Mirdyn joins you after the cutscene. Phidoch Castle - I typically prefer the right path (South Curtain Wall) because, at this point in the game, Dragons are easier to deal with compared to Golems thanks to Dragoons. - Phidoch South Curtain Wall - Use Dragoons and snipe down from the walls with winged units. - Phidoch Great Hall - Slowly move your squad to the eastern wall as the enemies descend from the western staircase. As Ozma makes it down the stairs, you can use Canopus and any winged beasts to take her original position and attack from a higher vantage point. Additionally, employ debuff tactics based on your party's unit composition (Breach for Physical and Enfeeble for Magic). She's strong in both Magic and Range, but she's not as defensive as prior bosses. Just don't clump up, distract or kill the enemy clerics, and focus her down in 1 round.
Tumblr media
(PGH)
Tumblr media
Southron Liberator Drove the Dark Knights from Phidoch Castle and wrested control of the south of Valeria. Enter → CH4 CH3 Chaos - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough Ambition and greed rule, while dogs and swine serve.Port Asyton > Xeod Moors > Coritanae Keep > The Reisan Way > Bahanna Highlands - Coritanae Ward - The same strategy applies in this Xaebos fight as the one in CH3 Neutral. - The Reisan Way - Cassandra is pretty squishy for a boss. You can either rush her or safely exorcise stilled undead along the way. - Bahanna Highlands - Hektor is a robust boss by virtue of being a Knight. Units like him are typically more susceptible to crushing and magic damage. Focus your attention on the rest of his squad whenever he activates Phalanx. As always, debuff him (Breach/Enfeeble) and take out his supporting Clerics. Read the full article

We know that there are people who have a hard time finishing the Tactics Ogre Reborn game. If you are one of those who find it difficult to finish the game, let's take you to our Tactics Ogre Reborn guide. #TacticsOgreReborn
Tactics Ogre Reborn Recruit Level 50 Unit at Start of Chapter 4
A guide on how to recruit level 50 units once you reach Chapter 4, bypassing the union level cap. Accessing the area You can recruit level 50 units once you reach Chapter 4, but there are quite a few steps to the process. First, you will need to unlock Port Omish - to do this, read the Port Omish, Den of Thieves topic in the Warren Report (This is the event to recruit Azelstan, the Buccaneer) and then, to get access to The Pirate's Graveyard.
Tumblr media
The Pirate's Graveyard - Tactics Ogre Reborn Recruit Level 50 Unit at Start of Chapter 4 The Pirate's Graveyard is one of the dungeons, like, Phorampa Wildwood. The enemies in The Pirate's Graveyard will always have 1 level higher of your highest unit level.
Tumblr media
Before going in Before entering The Pirate's Graveyard dungeon, you will need a Wizard equipped with Coax skill. Coax skill: Attempt to RECRUIT a REPTILE unit to join your cause. The lower their HP and loyalty, the higher the chance of success. Recommendation: 2 or 3 Wingedman Wizard equipped with Coax skill. You can recruit wingedman in the first area of Phorampa Wildwood dungeon.
Tumblr media
How to Tactics Ogre Reborn Recruit Level 50 Unit at Start of Chapter 4 1. Enter the first area Cape of Spite of The Pirate's Graveyard dungeon
Tumblr media
--- 2. and scout for a good map, usually a lizardman will spawn at the bottom close to the starting point.
Tumblr media
--- 3. recruit the lizardman, just make sure to check that the enemy level is 1 level higher than your unit
Tumblr media
--- 4. once recruited, retreat from the battle and then enter Cape of Spite again with the new lizadman with the highest level
Tumblr media
--- 5. Scout for a good map and make sure to check the enemy level
Tumblr media
--- Repeat this process until you get a level 50 unit. level 50 is the max, if you go in again with a level 50 unit, the enemies will be level 51 but, recruiting a level 51 unit will be downgraded to level 50. Recruiting different units Once you have a level 50 unit, and want to recruit a different unit other than lizardman, leave The Pirate's Graveyard and go to Phorampa Wildwood. It will be easier since, Phorampa Wildwood enemies level will be EQUAL to your highest unit's level, and with a smaller group. Read the full article

Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks
Tumblr media
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks guide. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned vet, here's a list of community tips that you might find helpful. We know that there are people who have a hard time finishing the Tactics Ogre Reborn game. If you are one of those who find it difficult to finish the game, let's take you to our Tactics Ogre Reborn guide. #TacticsOgreReborn
Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks
Whether you're a beginner or seasoned vet, here's a list of community tips that you might find helpful. Menus a drag? Scroll through item/spell/skill slots when slotting things using a controller! On PS controller, hold "square" + "L2" or "R2" On Xbox, hold "X" + "LT" or "RT" What's more valuable than priceless? Don't sell your crafting texts and codices! I believe in the PSP version, you get to keep the crafting recipes even after selling the texts. In Reborn, you do not get that luxury. For example, I sold the "On Medicine I" and lost access to those recipes. I wasn't able to repurchase it and I wasn't sure if it would drop elsewhere. Luckily I had an auto-save file before I sold the item. Size doesn't matter, but order does! Keep an eye on the attack turn order! This is really important if you plan on setting up combos or to recruit new units. Remember, multiple actions will increase the wait time before your unit acts again, so don't take unnecessary actions! You can also use spells like Torpor or Boon of Swiftness to alter a unit's recovery time. Put 'em to sleep! - Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks Anyone who's played the PSP version knows how incessant the enemy spellcasters were with status spells and disabling your units. Now the tables have turned! - Big baddie causing problems? Try putting them to sleep! - Afraid of the berserker constantly crushing your units? Paralyze or charm them! - Friendly AI units keep killing a new potential unit you're so desperately trying to recruit? Let that AI catch some Zzz's! Yes, join the dark side... Having a hard time recruiting? Here's a couple tips. - First off, you cannot recruit units in training!! - Disarm and unequip any guest units to reduce their chances of killing off your fresh meat. - Make sure the target has less than 25% health, the lower the better. - Make sure the recruiting unit is directly adjacent to the target. - Be prepared to heal your new recruit once you get them! I tend to save the action of my recruiter to use a heal item on them immediately after a successful recruit. - Use the help menu to find the category of the target if you are unsure what race the target is in order to equip the correct recruit skill. To do this, open up their condition page, press the help button, and navigate over to their sprite. For example, to recruit Beast units, use the Subdue skill from Beast Tamers.

It's alive! While crafting is optional, it is more than highly recommended. After a certain point in the game, crafting becomes available. Take your time with it! Certain items gain effects after being upgraded! Boots/leg guards are the real MVP! I STRONGLY suggest upgrading these first. Check out some of the upgraded weapon effects as well, as they can turn useless weapons into something deadly (looking at you, Breached). Vive la résistance! All armor has some innate resistance if you check their status page. Those numbers reduce overall damage. How it's reduced, I'm not entirely sure - reduced multipliers, percentages? If you know, please share!
Tumblr media
Upgrading armor (helmets, body armor, gloves, boots) increases those resistances which in turn can absolutely help squishy units take much less damage! For example, upgrading a basic Warrior's or Defender's Ring will increase resistances to blunt, slash, and pierce from 1 to 3!
Tumblr media
Of course, the most important thing is to get the total defense value as high as you can get it. Spring cleaning Don't be afraid to sell extra gear if you're low on funds. If you haven't access to particular "extracurricular" activities for funds and treasure yet, sell any unnecessary weapons and armor. Which way to the gun show? Stats can make characters much more effective. If you want your healer to heal more, raise that Mind MND stat! (unconfirmed) Want to pull of Matrix style dodges? Avoidance AVD is your friend. Need to hit harder? Raise Strength STR or Dexterity DEX! Want more accuracy with spells? Take a look at raising the Mind MND stat! Stats can be raised using green cards found on the field after defeating foes, or through Charms! If you ever need help understanding what the stats do, the help menu is your buddy! Arrows? Bah, 'tis but a scratch Bows have been really tuned down this time around. They are not entirely useless, however. It seems damage is based on sheer stat number, along with multipliers. Allow your bow users to handle "soft" units, or pick off enemies with low health. This can be very effective with winged or flying units as they can reach high places to pelt enemies from above. To make them effective on armored units, either try using their finishing skills, attacking an enemy inflicted with the Breached status, or attacking an enemy inflicted with Fear! Also, being on higher ground will increase damage output. If all else fails, increasing the unit's Dexterity (DEX) by a substantially will make bows powerful. Let's hear those arrows sing! Go long! - Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks Items are great to turn the tide of battle. Make sure all your units have items equipped! It is recommended to carry at least one healing item and a blessing stone to revive incapacitated units. Want to make items even more effective? Some units have the ability to throw items. Experiment with this ability and toss some consumables! Some may have explosive results... Bull's eye! Heart of the cards I'm personally not a huge fan of the buff card system, but use it to your advantage! Go out of your way to grab those cards. It can be the difference between a downed friendly unit or an unstoppable one. On the flip side, if you don't grab them, the enemies will! Scout Regiment This is such a helpful feature! Use this to prepare your troop composition and skills. I try to keep one of every unit that is able to use certain recruit skills in case I find someone/something I want in my party! Also, once you have access to "extracurricular" activities, you can walk into a dungeon map to scout, see what units are there, and back out if you don't like the units you are up against. When walking into the stage again, the units will be refreshed along with the composition . Going berserk? Friendly berserker got your allies in the crossfire? Equip a one hand weapon and shield to prevent this! Attack with the shield on a single unit to save that Berserk proc for the thicc unit comps. Unagi... Looking for some amazing sushi tanks? Beast units are fantastic tanks that can dish out incredible damage. Personally, I recommend getting an Octopus ASAP. Their physical stats are bonkers, and they are capable of dealing insane AoE (area of effect) damage! Pair them with a beast tamer and you've got yourself a living sushi weapon. OH and hear me out, beast units are fantastic archers.
Tumblr media
You're a wizard - Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks MP is the bread and butter of this game. Units with Meditate are great in that they are able to pull off finishing moves and spells more often than not! Those without it must take care when using MP in order to have it available in times when it matters most. Nothing is worse than getting up close and personal with the boss and you're a few points short of a finisher because you casted heal earlier! Also, the Drain Mind spell is a great way at disabling enemies from pulling off finishers on your units! Weeb it out Certain classes swordmaster and ninja make great assault units with versatile play styles. They are effective as melee harassers, single target multi-hit spellcasters, status appliers, and even healers! Recruit them the chance you get before you are able to grab their classmarks! Oooh, pretty colors! Matching a character's elements with elemental spells and items gives a damage boost! Magically delicious - Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks Weapon skill now increases offensive spell damage! Make sure you pair a weapon skill on your spellcaster! The weapon skill will also gain experience when you cast offensive spells. For spell accuracy, make sure your spellcaster has the passive ability "Concentration" for the effect Spellstrike, otherwise use the item "Black Lizard Powder" for the effect. Going once... Need some cash? Auction off your large units (beasts, dragons, etc.). Be sure to look for new items in the shop after auction... Upgrade your armguards and legguards asap! (user Tobi89) You should upgrade your armguards and legguards to +1 as soon as possible!
Tumblr media
Armguards +1 grants Jump which lets your unit jump +1 higher, making it much easier to climb things, while legguards +1 grants Swiftfoot! which gives +1 move to movement distance. There are also some body armors that grant the Wade ability which allows the unit to move a bit further through water, but it's not as important as +1 move and +1 jump when it comes to moving around the battlefield. Pick a weapon! All weapons are linked to a weapon skill. As the skill increases in levels, so does the weapon's damage and accuracy. This also works for weapons associated with spells like rods. As the skill increases, the character will also learn finishing moves - the first being at skill level 10. Skill levels and finishing moves gained with the weapon are transferable between classes as long as the class can wield the weapon! Melee is stronk! Early on, damage between ranged/melee/magic is fairly even. As time goes on, melee damage will often out-damage ranged and magic by a fair amount. Ranged damage is good against lightly armored enemies like casters, but their damage will drop sharply as the game progresses. Magic will often times also drop in damage, though magic users have a lot of utility in the added effects they can afflict on enemies. Overall, it's recommended to use a mainly melee oriented team for maximum effect! Just point and click on their heads! - Tactics Ogre Reborn Community Tips & Tricks One thing I haven't seen anyone notice at all yet is that you can actually target enemies slightly out of your visible bow range and still hit them! This applies to shortbows and longbows. However, this does not work for crossbows, blowguns, and spells. These things require a target within range. Instead, they follow a different rule - you are able to target other units (friend or foe) within range in order to hit units in between the selected target! This also includes targeting destructible objects, such as bushes and crates. There are some exceptions to this, such as Drain Life, where you cannot target a friendly unit.

Tactics Ogre Reborn How to Recruit Units
Tumblr media
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn How to Recruit Units guide. A simple explanation on the basics of how to go about recruiting units in battle. We know that there are people who have a hard time finishing the Tactics Ogre Reborn game. If you are one of those who find it difficult to finish the game, let's take you to our Tactics Ogre Reborn guide. #TacticsOgreReborn
Tactics Ogre Reborn How to Recruit Units
This guide is just intended to cover the basics. But we figured this would be handy for quick reference. Basics A few key points to know. First, you CANNOT recruit during training missions. Second, there are some units that CANNOT be recruited (like the two Griffons that show up with the Beast Tamer early in chapter 2). Third, you can use the Chariot Tarot to rewind and try again, HOWEVER, you must do something to change the RNG before trying again (as doing the exact same thing will result in the same outcome). So if you tried to recruit and failed, rewind, then try moving to the other side of the unit and recruiting. Fourth, you want the unit's health to be as low as possible, and you want to stand next to them for the best chances. Skills Required To recruit units, you need the skills tied to their race. - Recruit: Human & Winged - Coax: Lizardman & Lamia - Subdue: Beast (Griffon, Octopus, etc) - Tame: Dragon - Control Golems: Golem & Pumpkin - Master Undead: Skeleton & Ghost - Demon's Pact: Orc, Imp & Zombie (though Zombies are technically Undead, they don't count as them for recruiting) - Fey Pact: Fairy - Seraph's Pact: Divine The classes that get access to each skill are: - Recruit: Cleric, Knight, Paladin, Princess, Ranger, Songstress, Princess - Coax: Buccaneer, Patriarch/Matriarch, Wizard - Subdue: Beast Tamer - Tame: Beast Tamer - Control Golems: Warlock/Witch, Wicce - Master Undead: Necromancer - Demon's Pact: Lich - Fey Pact: Rogue, Shaman, Vartan - Seraph's Pact: Cleric, Divine Knight, Priest, Princess Loyalty - Tactics Ogre Reborn How to Recruit Units Every unit has a loyalty (which changes based on various things). You can check a unit's general loyalty by bringing up the help option and highlighting their name. It will give you a line, which will show what their loyalty range is, based on alignment. The lower a unit's loyalty, the easier they are to recruit. (The following info is taken from a reference post on the GameFAQs board for the PSP version) 100-81 - Lawful: This unit supports you in all things---a loyal ally to the end. - Neutral: This unit backs your every decision. - Chaotic: In the eyes of this unit, you are a worthy leader who can do no wrong. - Creature: This beast purrs like a kitten when you draw near. 80-61 - Lawful: This unit often speaks on your behalf to win others to your side. - Neutral: This unit looks favourably on your decisions and shares an understanding with you. - Chaotic: This unit is prepared to put aside its own interests in service of your cause. - Creature: The beast has taken to you, a loyal companion that will fight at your side. 60-41 - Lawful: More often that not, this unit speaks in support of your decisions. - Neutral: Though not openly discontent, this unit will not speak against those who are. - Chaotic: Though not openly discontent, this unit makes no effort to keep counsel with you. - Creature: Though still wary of you, this beast is content enough so long as it's fed. 40-31 - Lawful: Though not openly discontent, this unit is often at odds with your decisions. - Neutral: This unit averts its eyes when spoken to and often refuses to reply to even simple questions. - Chaotic: This unit often speaks openly of its distaste for your decisions. - Creature: This beast cowers at your approach. 30-21 - Lawful: Of late, this unit has grown more vocal in criticising your decisions. - Neutral: This unit regards you with eyes cold and distant. - Chaotic: This unit does not open its mouth but to complain. - Creature: Same as above. 20-11 - Lawful: Its not uncommon to find this unit defying you openly in front of others. - Neutral: Often you've noticed this unit staring at you with thinly veiled hatred. - Chaotic: Not only does this unit disagree with your decisions, it seems to openly revile you. - Creature: This beast crouches as though it might spring on you at any moment. 10-0 - Warning: At this point the unit is fed up, and sending it into battle may randomly cause your unit to desert your army PERMANENTLY. - Lawful: This unit has lost all faith in you and can scarce look you in the eyes while talking. - Neutral: This unit regards you with violence in its eyes. - Chaotic: This unit regards you with violence in its eyes. - Creature: Same as above.
