okay so i want to recommend shows i'm not watching and really want to watch but that's not how recs work :( (if it were, though, i'd say go watch i hear the sunspot and zettai 3 for both of us); i'm procrastinating most of the shows i'm watching rn, i'm five eps behind on wandee, two eps behind on the trainee, four episodes behind on knock knock boys but the one i managed to keep up with is my love mix up. i wouldn't say i recommend it because honestl i believe there are better shows airing rn to invest time in. not because i am not enjoyng it but because july is so abundant with new releases and mlmu is just a bit underwhelming in a few ways right now (still, super cute, perfect chemistry, interesting new scenes compared to the original, just not smth to prioritize in my opinion)

oh! i am enjoying meet you at the blossom! idk if you're gonna like it cause there's an opium related dubcon scene in episode two (the opium isnt used in the way youd think but still); other than that it's very amusing and i am having so much fun finally watching a cdrama again, an uncensored wuxia is very precious of a concept to me an one of the mains is a part of an idiot trio and the other is gonna wreak havoc and it's gonna be angsty and i'm just curious about how it all goes down (esp since i have no clue what's happening now, i am not good at following the plot but pretty guys pretty)

and another rec i haven't seen for myself would be century of love, i want to watch it, two episodes are out for now and it's about two hours long total in case you decide to check it out, i think it looks lovely

(and of course ayaka is in love with hiroko should be smth you consider, still havent started it but it's a jgl and it sounds cheesy and cute)

as for music..i haven't been listening to music much, i've gone back to some billie eilish hits like idontwannabeyouanymore and everything i wanted, i like chihiro a lot too; jeonghan and wonwoo's last night is gorgeous <3 ; i also went for some old big bang popular songs, other than that i think i listen to my usual songs on repeat (today it's been the into the woods ost again lol and rn i'm listening to jeonghan's dream)

A/n: Hello fellow stay! It's always nice to see a fellow stay! Thank you so much for sending in this request! Sorry if this came out a bit late and is a bit short compared to my other one-shots, I was having a serious writer's block the past three days. It's not completely gone but it's almost there. This was supposed to come out on his birthday, but you know….Other than that, I hope that you enjoy this little one-shot!

You stared at the date on your phone. It was Jinwoo’s birthday but for some reason, Jinwoo never said anything to you this morning. Remembering a video Jinah sent you a while ago, it was of a girlfriend smashing a tiny cake into her boyfriend's face. Smiling, you decide you were going to do the same thing with Jinwoo. Grabbing your purse and keys, you head to the store to get a tiny heart shaped cake. You get “Happy Birthday Jinwoo” on the tiny cake before you headed back home to get everything set up. 

When you returned home, you immediately walked into the kitchen, placed the cake in front of Jinwoo’s spot, you made sure to get the balloons tied to his chair, and made sure the “Happy Birthday” sign was centered in front of his chair. You stood a bit far to see how it looked. Nodding your head, you smiled at the way it looked. Getting your phone set up to record, you hear the front door open and close. “I’m home!” Jinwoo called out, slipping off his shoes and putting slippers on. 

Jinwoo walked into the kitchen and slightly jumped when you yelled out Happy Birthday. You moved over to your boyfriend and wrapped your arms around his neck and smiled feeling his arms wrap around your waist and pull you closer to him. Jinwoo proceeds to lean down and press his lips to yours. His arms tighten a bit as he kisses you like his life will end if he doesn’t kiss you. Pulling away, you giggle, breathless but gently pull him towards the table. 

You gently motion for him to sit down before picking up the cake and holding it closer to him. “Happy Birthday Jinwoo.” You said, once more before Jinwoo smiled softly, thinking you were going to simply feed him a bite of the cake instead, he was met with the cake being smashed into his face. He could hear your giggles as you pulled the very small cake cardboard piece away from his face. He blinked a few times before turning to face you. 

You had a big grin on your face and your laughter filled the room. Jinwoo’s stunned face turned to a soft smile as he watched you laugh. Jinwoo knew what you had been planning thanks to the shadow soldier he had placed in your shadow, but he wanted to hear your laugh so he feigned surprise just so he could hear your laughter. Chuckling himself, he stood from the chair and walked closer to you. You noticed, and tried to back away but you accidentally backed yourself against the wall. 

Jinwoo caged you between the wall and himself as he leaned down. You lifted your hand and with your finger, swiped frosting from the side of his mouth. “Did you at least like the little bit of cake that you eat?” You asked, eating the frosting from your finger. Jinwoo grinned. “Well yeah. You got it so I will automatically enjoy it. Anything you get me I will enjoy.” Jinwoo said, leaning closer and pressing his lips against yours. 

His hands dropped to your waist, pulling you close. You smiled against his lips before wrapping your arms around his neck. Jinwoo normally forgot about celebrating his birthday but if it was with you by his side, he would happily remember every birthday of his to come. Pulling back from the kiss, Jinwoo pressed his forehead against yours. His eyes closed and his chest rising and falling as he tried to catch his breath. Your breathing was slightly labored as you also tried to catch your breath. “What do you want to do for the rest of your birthday?” You asked, leaning your head against his chest. You hear his hum reverberate through his chest. “Why don’t we stay in and order food, and watch a movie for the rest of the night?” He asked. 

You smiled, nodding your head and pulling from his arms and walking towards the living room to find the perfect movie to watch. Jinwoo chuckled before going up to your shared room to change and call his and your favorite restaurant for take out. He walked out of your shared room to see you still fussing over a few movies. He smiled, shaking his head before walking over to you. “Why don’t we watch all four movies? I just ordered the food and got a few desserts too.” Jinwoo said, watching your eyes light up. 

He ushered you towards the bedroom and told you to get into pj’s before the food arrived. Nodding your head, you close the door behind you and start to get dressed in pj’s. Jinwoo goes back to the living room and decides which movie to start with. Getting the movie in the dvd player, grabbing a few blankets, he could hear you opening the bedroom door and walking down the stairs right as the doorbell rang, signaling that the food he had ordered was finally there. 

“Shall we?” Jinwoo asked as he got the food and paid for it. You smiled at him and nodded your head. “I’m ready!” You said, rushing to the couch, wrapping the blanket around your body and smiling up at Jinwoo. He chuckled, leaning down and pressing a small kiss to your lips before sitting down and getting the movie pulled up and started. Jinwoo wouldn’t say it out loud, but this was the best birthday he had in a while.
