1930 Ford Highboy Coupe
There’s always lots of detail work with any build and this ’30 Ford highboy coupe is no exception. Look closely and you will find Craftworks Fabrication handmade steel motor mounts. The license plate and valve covers were painted by Jeremy Seanor of Luckystrike Designs. He also painted all the accompanying engine and tranny parts. The powdercoat was handled by Pittsburgh Powder Coat while the chrome plating was conducted by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome Plating.
The chassis is comprised of a Roadster Shop custom frame that was stepped, stretched, and features contoured ’32 Ford-style framerails. It was also then boxed, capped, and has hole punch flared front framehorns. From here the frame is outfitted with a Super Bell 4-inch drop, drilled and plated I-beam axle, low-profile monoleaf spring with Ridetech tubular shocks paired to custom-made drilled billet radius rods from Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. Steering falls to the Flaming River box and a LimeWorks Hot Rod column topped with a four-spoke Billet Specialties Sprint Car–style leather-wrapped wheel. In back there’s a Currie 9-inch rearend outfitted with 3.70 gears, 31-spline axles, QA1 coilovers, a Pete & Jakes Panhard bar, and a parallel four-link setup. Braking is a combination of disc/drum front to rear. The forward braking dark gray–painted Wilwood Dynalite calipers are neatly hidden behind the Pete & Jakes finned backing plates. While in back the 9-inch is outfitted with 11-inch brakes, this time hidden beneath the SO-CAL Speed Shop finned drums all the while the chassis rides on a full set of 16-inch Dayton wire wheels wrapped with Coker/Excelsior rubber measuring 5.50R16 in front and 7.00R18 in the back.
All hot rods have something fun settled between the ’rails and beneath the hood (well if they have a hood). In the case of our ’30 Ford highboy coupe it sure appears to be a vintage Ford Y-block but after more than a cursory look we begin to see the telltale signs that there’s something more. Indeed, while it may look like a Ford it truly is a 376-inch LSX iron block, with aluminum heads and ARP studs, plus adapter-equipped small-block Ford (Windsor) valve covers all from Don Hardy Race Cars and then assembled by Talik and Marc Mullin. The intake is an Edelbrock LS dual quad with a pair of Thunder AVS EnduraShine carbs dressed in OTB air cleaners. Delivering the gas from the Tanks stainless reservoir is an Earl’s Performance billet fuel pump. More engine accessories include an MSD 6AL box to go along with the MSD billet Ford small-block distributor that functions through a timing cover adapter from Chevrolet Performance all the while using an MSD coil and Lokar vintage plug wires. Powermaster also supplied the alternator and starter, the battery is an XS Power AGM, and a Wegner Motorsports water pump is used as well as a Wegner front accessory drive unit. This 500-plus hp V-8 utilizes custom headers made at Craftworks Fabrication based on Ultimate Headers LS header flanges. The pseudo-Ford small-block is backed up to a TCI StreetFighter 700-R4 with a 2,800-stall speed converter operated by a Lokar shifter. The trans cooler comes by way of Derale Performance and moves the power through a 3-inch-diameter custom-made driveshaft.

First Look: The 812 GTS-Inspired Ferrari SP51
The latest addition to the Prancing Horse’s One-Off series, the Ferrari SP51, was unveiled today and joins the most exclusive group in Maranello’s range: unique, absolutely bespoke cars crafted to the specifications of a client, making them the very pinnacle of Ferrari’s customisation scope and range.
Designed by the Flavio Manzoni-headed Ferrari Styling Centre, the SP51 is a front-engined V12 spider based on the 812 GTS platform from which it inherits its layout, chassis and engine. At first sight, the stunning new car’s most striking characteristic is its total absence of a roof, making it an authentic roadster in every respect, accentuating both its sporty character and ability to captivate both visually and in terms of en plein air driving exhilaration.
Unsurprisingly, the SP51’s aerodynamics required meticulous honing in a process involving CFD simulations, wind tunnel and dynamic testing to guarantee not just the ultimate in comfort in the cabin, but also the same standard of acoustic comfort and wind feel as the car that inspired it.
The SP51’s styling is both powerful and harmonious, thanks to its seamlessly muscular, undulating surfaces. Its forms are modern, sinuous and sensual at once, in great part as a result of the extensive use of bare carbon-fibre both on the exterior and in the cabin. The trim on the bonnet is particularly striking as it dynamically frames the two air vents.
Another of the SP51’s most captivating features is its new Rosso Passionale three-layer paintwork – the colour was developed specifically for the car and gives it an elegant yet imposing character that also exudes authority. This impression is further enhanced by the blue and white livery inspired by a legendary 1955 Ferrari 410 S which not only runs the length of the car, but is also referenced in the interior.
At the front, specially-designed headlights give the SP51 an instantly recognisable and forceful identity all of its own. Also noteworthy are the wheels, which are specific to the car and have carbon-fibre wing profiles on each of the spokes which also feature a sophisticated tone-on-tone diamond-cut finish on the forward-facing section.
The rear of the car is dominated by an arched theme with the taillights inset below the spoiler. Immediately behind the cabin are two flying buttresses that are visually softened by two deep carbon-fibre scoops. Between these two elements stretches a transverse, carbon-fibre wing, the profile of which folds over the buttresses. The resulting effect is vaguely reminiscent of a Targa-type car in which the flying bridge elegantly conceals the anti-roll hoop, a nod to the solution adopted on Ferrari’s early-1960s Sports Prototypes.
That said, the very pinnacle of the meticulous honing process, in which the client was involved every step of the way, has to be the cabin where dizzying new heights of craftsmanship and creativity have been reached.  Its personalisation pivoted around two clever ideas: the decision to use the same Rosso Passionale colour custom-created for the exterior as the main colour for the Alcantara® trim, and the effective idea of extending the lengthwise exterior livery into the cabin. Its white and blue stripe, in fact, both appear on the central tunnel and the fascia between the two seats on the firewall, as well as on the steering wheel stitching, creating a sense of seamless continuity between exterior and interior in which the car’s roadster architecture played a vital role.
The special finish for the door panels, the lower section of the dashboard and the sides of the seats, comprising a blue Kvadrat insert with white cross-stitching, also picks up the livery. Glossy carbon-fibre trim has been extensively used throughout the interior where it pairs very harmoniously with the Nero Momo Opaco elements. This stylishly elegant and authoritative look is further enhanced by several white embroidered details (including the Prancing Horse and car logo, also found on the lower rim of the steering wheel).
The Ferrari One-Off, SP51, was designed for a longstanding Taiwan-based client who is also one of our leading collectors. It is a successful roadster take on Maranello’s first front-engined V12 spider in 50 years. Its bold styling captivates at first sight. However, it brilliantly retains the signature elegance of its inspiration, the 812 GTS, whilst pushing the boundaries by offering a whole new way of enjoying en plein air driving.

setting: sometime after the full moon, briar-rose’s apartment
featuring: royce van doren iii & briar-rose reed @briarreed
The question that had been on everyone’s mind since they felt something amiss had soon after been answered. A death. There had been a death in the coven. It came as no shock, they had been waiting for some time now to see the end of the curse wrought by Rohan realized, but it hadn’t changed the impact. A life was taken, and someone would forever be changed. This was the baseline fact. When the news broke, there was a sigh of relief but then came the surreal aftershock of it. The Supreme’s sister had been the one to pay the price, and now she was a vampire. Severed from her magic, from that fundamental thing that he suspected in huge part made her who he was. What would Royce himself be without magic? He couldn’t fathom it, couldn’t fathom going through such a drastic change, all in one torrential night.
Royce thought for a flash of a second to read Poppy’s thoughts on it, to glean what she may have been feeling as she addressed the group but ultimately chose against it. Some things he felt were truly too private. Instead he looked at his own sisters among the other witches, looked at the relief and grief stricken looks in their eyes. Relief they were alive and no longer threatened, grief over the loss of another. He wondered how it would have been for him had it been one of them, but Royce couldn’t handle the painful thought for too long. He would be broken, even if they came out immortal and strong after the ordeal. How does one cope? Pushing that fruitless thought aside, he’d made up his mind then and there on what he would do next: He would go and visit Briar-Rose Reed.
It was only right to pay your respects to the dead, after all.
Speeding to a halt on the side of the road, in a spot that was clearly not meant for parking, Royce emerged from his cherry red ‘63 Datsun Roadster in a fine linen suit, hair combed elegantly back from his face. He loathed Downtown, but some tasks came with necessary evil, or so he thought as he tried to follow his phone navigation to her door. He knocked twice, plastered on a pleasant grin when the knob turned… only to be greeted by a giant oaf of a man. A vaguely familiar one at that. “Jimmy?” Royce asked with a furrowed brow. “Jimmy Callahan, what are you doing here?” Did he get the wrong address? He swore he double checked and this was right.
The other man frowned in confusion before slowly responding, speaking each syllable in a way that to Royce felt like the giant was speaking for the first time. “…You know my name is Julian, right? Julian Chandler. Is this some kind of bit?”
Huh, could have sworn it was Jimmy Callahan, Royce thought. “You learn something new everyday,” he waved at the brunette dismissively. “Tomato, Tomahto, whatever Shakespeare said about roses and different names — Say, maybe you can help me, clearly I have the wrong address. I’m looking for Briar-Rose Reed’s home? Is she your neighbor?” The man grew defensive and narrowed suspicious blue eyes at Royce, which he instantly resented.
Jimmy, or, sorry, Julian as he claimed to be, raised a brow, “No, this is her place… Is she expecting you, because you know she’s been through a lot, Van Doren. I think she’d maybe like to be alone—”
”No, she isn’t expecting me, but I assure you it’s a cordial visit,” Royce said, a direct response to the suspicion that was evident in the vampire’s mind. When Julian’s mouth opened to speak again, he quickly cut him off. “Look, it’s Coven business, at least… A final bit of it, if you don’t mind I’d like to talk to her for just a bit.” It was silent and he noticed the way the man turned his head slightly back in the house, his lips barely moving. Royce raised a brow curiously, but only smiled politely when the other man slunk back into the shadows and allowed him space to answer.
It hadn’t been long, following the giant man further in, before he’d seen the girl in question. She didn’t look much different from the last time he’d crossed paths with her, looking just like her ordinary self. Of course, she’d look that way forever. With a small sort of grin, Royce greeted her with a raise of his head. “Briar-Rose,” he sing sang her name. “I’m sure I’m not the first, but let me be the latest to say immortality becomes you,” he said with a small sort of smirk before his features softened to a bit. That was until he spotted the tall shadow lingering in the corner. “…Does your bodyguard ever take a break?” He quipped. “Go on, go on now, Jimbo, go read some books, shoo,” he waved at him. Julian frowned and exchanged a look with Briar before he announced he’d be going to another room. Royce watched the tall man leave and murmured, “Out of sight, but certainly not out of ear shot, hm?” He turned then to the young woman before him.
“The Sup…. Poppy broke the news to the coven,” he started slowly, delicately, trying not to focus on thoughts he figured were burdened with grief and powerfully sad emotions. Emphasis on try. “I know words mean so little, and I’m sure you’ve heard it all, but… I’m very terribly sorry that this happened to you.” He ran through what ifs, a lot of them since he’d started sticking around town more. What if he had taken this job more seriously? What if he’d helped put the foot down more strongly on dark magic usage? What if they could have prevented this? Would she still be normal, whatever that meant in a town like this? He had been quietly responding to the damages the witches did around town in his own way. He gave Todd Miller a job to help him sustain himself in his new life, he offered to help finance the repairs at the hotel and casino, and now he was here. Now Royce was looking a former witch in the eye and trying to give his condolences to all she lost. To the person she no longer was. “May I sit with you? For a bit… I know you’ll think it’s not genuine, and it might not be, but I’m here, at least one final time, as the coven advisor to see a fellow witch. One who I think might just need some company?” He didn’t see Briar-Rose when he looked at her then. He saw Kathy or Cec, his darling little sisters whom he would be devastated to see in that same spot. That was the thought that propelled him to be there. He wasn’t a nice man, not really… but he could try. He thought maybe he had it in him to try this once.

McLaren Sabre (1 of 15).
The almost otherworldly McLaren Sabre launched in late 2020 as the most powerful non-hybrid road car produced by the engineering wizards at McLaren to date. One of just 15 produced, yet in fact a truly individual creation built precisely to the specifications of its original owner, this 2020 McLaren Sabre was, and remains, a true “instant icon” that will likely never be duplicated. Not only is it the ultimate McLaren road car, it also quite likely represents the most direct application of race-winning technologies and engineering prowess ever applied to the road, with amazingly purposeful styling and surprising luxury to boot.Based on the foundation of the stunningly fast, track-focused Senna before it, the Sabre takes the hypercar concept to new extremes with its twin-turbocharged 4.0L V-8 powerplant factory-rated at 824 HP—165 more than the Senna and 20 more than even the Elva roadster. However, despite its massive power output, the Sabre is primarily a road car with obvious track capabilities and a somewhat more compliant, road-worthy ride, yet with no performance compromises. In fact, the Sabre holds the distinction of being capable of 218 MPH flat out, one MPH faster than the Senna. The Sabre’s dramatic body design perfectly matches its lethal, cavalry sword-inspired name, with the stunning new McLaren featuring upright, blade-type front and rear fender extensions, fully skirted doors and rockers, and an upward-sweeping side treatment terminated by upright LED tail lights, a full-width rear wing, and rear air diffusers. Sharing its essential carbon fiber monocage chassis structure with the Senna, the Sabre also features the company’s signature, upward-swinging doors and clamshell-type front and rear hatches evocative of Le Mans-worthy endurance racers. The Sabre’s electrifying carbon fiber body is handsomely finished in Liquid Argentum paint, accented by Gloss VCF and Liquid Papaya pinstripes plus interwoven visual carbon fiber graphics to the lower bodyside blades. The driver-focused, yet deceptively luxurious interior of the Sabre is a visual treat with a Volcano Orange driver’s seat and Carbon Black passenger seat, accented by Liquid Papaya contrast pinstripes to the seat shells and contrasting McLaren MSO logos embroidered on the headrests. Visual satin carbon fiber interior accents are handsomely complemented by brushed Azores air vent bezels, steering wheel shift paddles and the central touch-screen screen bezel, down to the door struts and release actuators. Volcano Orange brake calipers proudly carry the Black McLaren marque logo and reside behind stunning, diamond-milled, 7-spoke wheels finished in Gloss Black and fitted with Liquid Argentum center-lock nuts.

Richard Plantagenet, the third Duke of York was born on the 21st September, 1411 which was exactly 593 years before that of the Communist Party of India ( Maoist) with whom he shares his birthday. He spent his youth battling the French feudalists and imperialists in Normandy thereby avenging the colonisation of England by the Normans some three centuries prior and had built himself mass support amongst the peasantry and the proletariat of England and Ireland to overthrow the elements of the feudal classes who favoured the Henry of Lancaster ( commonly known as Henry VI & II of England and France) which was wont to partake in anti-people measures ( amongst other things by corruption and graft thereby letting the Beauforts monopolise the control of the productive forces in England and by depriving the poorer peasantry and proletariat who had less than 40 shillings from having any say in governance by depriving them the right to vote in 1430). As it is evident, he was in contact with the mass uprising led by Jack Cade and the fact that he had based his demands on what the people had demanded in the uprising but in a more formalized manner shows that he came up with the Maoist practice of implementing the mass-line on his own. He then waged the People's War against the House of Lancaster and was ultimately beheaded in Wakefield at 1460 by the Lancastrian roadsters.

To celebrate my little gremlin's birthday!!!!! Happy birthday Mokuba!!
You can also read it on AO3 here
____
The roar of the McLaren Elva reverberated in the middle of the jungle of cars, concrete, glass and steel that was San Francisco at noon. In the passenger seat, the older Kaiba could not care less about the scenery flying around him: the same buildings, the same landscape he had been acquainted with for a long time now. Besides, the clouded sky and the lack of sunlight took all the charm away. A gray San Francisco was not a pretty San Francisco. Not that behind his sunglasses he could have told the difference.
Seto peeked at his little brother in the driver’s seat: Aviators on, dark hair ruffled by the breeze blowing on his new roadster speeding up on the asphalt. Every now and then, he would let out a soft impatient growl at the red light forcing him to stop, nervously tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. Then, even before the green light would appear, he would shift gears, wheels screeching, and pass the cars in front of him at full speed, meticulously steering through the traffic at the intersection, to the irritation of some drivers whose curses would be lost in the rear wind.
Seto smirked. Stylish. Free. That was Mokuba Kaiba. The ‘hot’ Kaiba, as people would call him.
“Are you that hungry?”
Mokuba met his gaze.
“I just want to spend as much time with you as I can without the fucking downtown congestion slowing me down.” He complained.
Warm sensation heated Seto’s chest at those words. Twenty-seven years and he was still not used to how straightforward Mokuba was when talking about his feelings. Whether it was anger, frustration or happiness, that simple way his little brother had to put into words his thoughts and emotions always took him by surprise.
“It’s alright, I took a couple of hours off. We have time.”
Seto diverted his attention to his phone and to the list of messages and mails that seem to never end, not before noticing the smile on his brother’s face.
“Isono says David Stella wants to meet.” Seto raised his gaze on the road ahead with a sigh he immediately regretted.
Mokuba turned to his brother, probably pausing enough to understand the reason behind Seto’s poorly hidden frustration.
“I can do it. I can fly to New York next week.”
“No I’ll do it. You go to Frankfurt.”
“I can do both.” Mokuba insisted. “It doesn’t make sense for you to do it. What are you gonna do? Fly back to Japan tomorrow and then come back next week?”
“Maybe I can meet him on a call.”
Mokuba shrugged. Whatever Seto’s choices would have been, he knew better than keep complaining when it came to business. After all, he was just the Chief Operational Officer. All the ultimate decisions were up to the CEO, and god knows how stubborn and workaholic he was.
“How’s Kyoko-san?”
Seto stopped typing on the phone and tossed a sloping glance at his brother. Mokuba’s question seemed to come out of nowhere. He was keeping his eyes on the road, feigning the most natural expression. The little rascal. Is this what we’re doing now?
“She’s fine.” He hoped that would be it, but he knew Mokuba too well.
“Have you seen her this week?”
He was an open book, not even trying to conceal it this time. Seto let another deep breath for there was no point in hiding anymore.
“She’s busy. I’m busy. We don’t see each other often lately.” He could feel Mokuba’s gaze on him, that annoying ability his brother had to X-Ray the shit out of him every.single.time. Which compelled Seto to add
“I’m fine. It is what it is.”
The silence that followed felt almost pitiful.
“It’s almost eight years since you started dating.”
“We are not dating.”
“Whatever. Agreement, friendship with benefits, whatever you wanna call it. Point is, it’s been quite some time so maybe it’s reasonable for things to slow down. Right?”
Seto stared at Mokuba behind his sunglasses, incapable to formulate a reasonable sentence.
“Even though,” Mokuba continued. “Didn’t she turn forty-seven this year? I heard milfs are quite… passionate.”
“I’m not having this fucking conversation with you.” Seto cut it with a sardonic smile, split between the urge to smack his brother’s nape, enjoying Mokuba’s poor attempts at cheering him up or go back at him. He settled for the latter.
“Are you two slowing down?”
“Nope. Still fucking like rabbits.” His face brightened with a big grin. “But we’ve been together for what? Three and a half years? We’re still in the middle of it.”
Seto delivered one of those rare awkward laughs of his which for some reasons were so contagious to Mokuba.
“I’m sorry you won’t get to see Jaeson this time. He’s been quite busy too.” Mokuba added.
“Is he taking you out to dinner tonight?”
“No, we’re staying home. He said it’s going to be a surprise, he will probably cook dinner and then…doing some other indoor activities.” Mokuba cheeks tinged with red.
“Right. Like rabbits.”
Mokuba let out his usual vibrant deep husky laugh. Seto smiled, looking at the road again and resting his elbow on the car door. He finished typing his e-mail.
“How’s it going with the new house?”
“It’s great. I think we’re gonna finish moving by the end of the month. Next time you’re here we’ll probably be able to show it to you.”
“Do you like it?”
“Oh yeah. It’s big. There’s a lot of rooms and the garden is amazing. We can have barbeques and breakfast outside. The neighborhood is nice too. It’s going to be a dream.”
Mokuba’s voice overflowed with excitement. Seto was sure if his brother did not have his sunglasses on, he would have seen his deep grey eyes lightened up like the sky at dawn. Still the same, twenty-three years ago as now. No, it was different. There was a time when his eyes were empty and lifeless, mistakes after mistakes. There was a time where Mokuba has stopped smiling at him, laughing with him. A time when Mokuba did not call him niisama anymore, not that often anyway, and would just address him with his name. That one devastated him. Was it all that really over now? It seemed like a lifetime had passed. He looked at the young men driving his favorite car, his enthusiasm melting him inside. He patted Mokuba’s head.
Gazes met, silent falling.
A small gesture. It was enough.
***
The MKT restaurant at the fifth floor of the Four Seasons was a grand place and the food was simply outstanding. If Mokuba did not have a planned dinner already later that day, he would have definitely given the dessert a try and maybe something else too; but for now a margherita flatbread and a nicoise salad was all he allowed himself to try.  He was not going to disappoint his husband’s cooking, after all. He did not dispensed with the wine though, even if both he and Seto were bound to return to work in an hour.
They had talked business and life, as they were used to every time they would meet once every couple of months. Seto’s visits used to be recurring the first few years that he had started college but since Mokuba had taken the position of COO in the company, their in-person meetings had become less frequent, mostly because now Mokuba could deal with company stuff to unburden his brother. They would still call each other every day. It had become an important habit to both of them. Even eight thousands kilometers and sixteen hours of difference would not have kept them apart. Mokuba would have sworn on it.
It had been hard the first few weeks alone in San Francisco. Yes, of course, his best friend was with him the whole time and then he had met Jaeson who had literally changed the entire direction of his life. Yet, he still remembered the tears he cried that late afternoon at the San Francisco International when he waved goodbye to his older brother. Nineteen years they had spent together with their highs and (many) lows up to that point. The separation felt like something had ripped inside him. The first nights alone in the penthouse had been rough. Promise me you’ll call me every day, he had asked him. Niisama complied. Every day since.
It was such a small thing, something Mokuba was not even sure he could rely on and yet, somehow, it had made a huge difference. Seto would visit every month on business trips and they would talk about college, about life, about themselves. Not that his brother was the most outgoing when it came to feelings. Nonetheless, they had their own thing, the gestures, a simple word. One   of the moments Mokuba would treasure for the rest of his life was the day he came out to Seto, two months in as a freshman. Crying, shaking, the confusion, the fear of being rejected, as he was something impure and wrong. A warm hug and the pride in his brother’s eyes settled the dust. Somehow, this is how they managed to communicate. It took them years to found this balance. It took them a trip to the quantum dimension, a brain damage, quarrels, arguments and many efforts. Still, they had been surviving just fine.
The only fear left in Mokuba, that would resurface from time to time, was the thought of Seto spending too much time alone.
“Have you seen Yuugi?”
“Not much. Everyone seems to be busy lately.” Seto took another sip of wine.
Mokuba softly bit his lower lip. “Why don’t you take a couple of weeks off this summer? I can cover for you and you and Kyoko-san could spend some time somewhere nice.”
“I’ll think about it.”
Not enough.
Seto looked at his watch.
“So, do you want your present? We still have some time.”
Mokuba’s eyes widened.
“You have a present for me?” He looked around and was sure he had not seen his brother with a bag when they got out the car.
“Of course I do.”
Seto pulled an envelope from the inner pocket of his jacket resting on an empty chair and passed it to his little brother. Mokuba received it in his hands and explored the little package. It was small but heavier and thick at the center as if it contained something solid in it.
“Please don’t tell me it’s car keys. I don’t know where to put my cars anymore.”
“It’s not car keys.” Seto rebutted shaking his head. That little gremlin sure loved cars even more than he did.
Full of curiosity, Mokuba slowly opened the envelope on one side with the help of a knife, and then, he peeked inside. He lingered for a few seconds, eyes still looking inside the package. Then he moved his gaze to his brother with a mix of confusion and emotion in his look. Seto gestured him to keep going with a wave of his head.
Mokuba slipped his hand in the wrapper and extracted a familiar locket. It was no different from the one they used to wear: it was a small box, with the Duel Monster cards’ original backing printed on both sides, and a long thin string tied to it. It’s just that it couldn’t have been the same locket because the older one was still hanging in his bedroom. He looked back at his brother, his face revealing surprise. Seto’s eyes met his, and there was a mix of satisfaction and cockiness in his enigmatic smile.
“Go on. Open it.”
The younger Kaiba, fingers trembling, sprang the locket open and gasped. Inside there was a picture. He had seen it before not long time ago. Actually almost two months before, the day of his graduation: both he and his brother facing the camera, hugging, Seto placing his mouth on the top of Mokuba’s head,  Mokuba’s cheerful beam. A happy day. The picture showed only a cut of the original, which Mokuba was sure it was still in Jaeson’s phone.
“You asked Jaeson to send you this picture? I remember he was the one taking it.”
“He sent it to me already that same day.”
“But why though?” Mokuba gazed back at Seto, with big eyes and it was as he had turned back into a child.
“I thought it was about time for an upgrade. Look, you don’t have to wear it. We are not kids anymore and we sure have a different sense of fashion than before. But-”
Seto noticed his brother’s eyes getting wet, emotions flowing through his face. Pulling the most serious expression he could manage now, Mokuba stretched his arm holding the locket in front of his brother who answered him with a puzzled look.
“Last time I put it around your neck. It’s your turn now.” Cheeks slightly reddish.
With a sigh, Seto took the locket from his brother’s hand and, holding the gaze, he shortened the distance between the two and slid the locket on Mokuba’s head placing it around his neck.
Without moving from their closeness, he whispered.
“You are the last piece of my heart and I will always come back to you.”
At that moment, the little brother grabbed Seto’s hands into his own. Throat hurt like something heavy was stuck in it. He needed to grip onto something or the overflowing of sensations piercing him would have made him drift away. He knew. He had always known. No matter the distance, no matter the different paths taken in life, they will always be there for each other no matter what. They had already been through too much shit. He wanted to say something. He wanted to say it. How much he loved him. He could not. Only tears sliding through his cheeks. However, there was no need for words. It is how they communicated. The little things.
Seto freed his hands from Mokuba’s grasp, cupped his brother’s face with them and kissed his forehead.
“Happy birthday Mokuba.”

Here’s the next American Special we’re highlighting that will be at the 2023 Amelia Island Concours in our own class of 9 cars, the 1958 Thor. The Thor represents what was happening across America throughout the 1950s – people were inspired by the designs they saw in Europe and in Detroit, and wanted to create something unique, beautiful and sporty for themselves. And across the country this is exactly what happened.   Starting in 1957, Vilmar Gudmands and Jerry Ball who were both in the Air Force, combined their skill and expertise and brought forth the design of the Thor. Named after Vilmar’s father, the Thor took shape in a balsa wood model first and as the design was finalized they applied and received a United States patent for their design. Construction commenced on creating a form or “buck” to create the shape that they would use to pull a mold and ultimately three bodies were pulled from this mold, two coupes and one roadster. Work continued at a rapid pace and by 1958 both bodies were turned into finished coupes, one for Vilmar and one for Jerry. The Thor’s design is striking given that it was created to fit a VW chassis. This gives it the distinction of being one of the first “special-bodied” VW sports car built in America. Both cars and the roadster body (still unfinished) remain today and the Thor owned by Richard and Gina Brown that will debut on Amelia’s field will be the first time a Thor has been seen in public since the late 1950s.   Quite an achievement for America’s hard working car enthusiasts like Vilmar and Jerry back then and even today. . . . . #undiscoveredclassics #forgottenfiberglass #fiberglasscar #fiberglass #handbuilt #sportscar #sportscars #americansportscar #restoration #restorationproject #restorationcars #carrestoration #classiccar #classiccars #cars #carsofinstagram #carswithoutlimits #vintagecars #customcars #carcheology #theamelia #thor #vw #volkswagen (at Tampa, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmwKV61r0MD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Lamborghini Miura P400S
One of the most iconic supercars 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400! Designed by Marcello Gandini
Very few cars managed to change the automobile world like Miura, this ultimate sports car.
Only 764 Lamborghini Miuras were built from 1966 to 1973.
Sixty years ago, precisely on May 1963, “Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini SAS” was registered as a company. It was the first name of an industrial adventure that, starting from scratch, has revolutionized the automotive industry and created style icons, evolving up to becoming today the world-famous company “Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.
1965 Turin Auto Show, Lamborghini Automobili unveiled something out of this world, a masterpiece that has never seen before. A car? No, much more better, a chassis of a car.
The story says that at that event Nuccio Bertone was very fascinated by that chassis, so he approached Ferruccio Lamborghini and said: “I’m the one who can make the shoe to fit your foot”. Ferruccio of course agreed.
The body for that chassis was designed in only 4 months by the young Marcello Gandini and the final car was unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show and it was the highlight of the show. That car was the Lamborghini Miura.
Ferruccio's reaction? Disappointment. The first time he saw the car he said: "how am I supposed to put my foot in it? There's no hole, see?"
So they went back to work and 2 years later, at the 1968 Brussels Auto Show, Bertone unveiled the Miura Roadster, that was actually in a targa configuration. It was finished in a metallic light blue color, a slightly redesigned rear, no engine cover and, most importantly, it had no roof.
The Lamborghini Miura P400S is the car the is the definition of cool back in the day. If you owned a Miura then, you are definitely going places. Famous Stars owners of the Miura included Miles Davis Frank Sinatra, Elton John, and Rod Stewart.
