TUDUM teaser: "RUNNNNNN!" (Is Will possessed?)

It's more of a teaser than a trailer... maybe 15 seconds of actual s5 footage.

It opens with Joyce talking alone with Will: "I think about that night, ALL THE TIME. [scenes of his s1 abduction] The night it came for you. The night all of this started." Going back to the night Will was taken CONFIRMED =D Main character Will, too =D

Will: "Everything changed. We failed. [glimpses of s4 finale] But we need to be ready."

I know many people binge watch and will hate this, but I LOVE the schedule. I love the collective experience of watching episodes as they come out. Volume 2 comes out on Christmas while families are gathered and are talking about it. And the FINAL EPISODE will be on New Year's Eve. (Remember how the cast did a lot of the shooting before even knowing what the final script would be? There'll be SO MUCH HYPE!)

Then quick glimpses, with a repeating motif of three boom sounds. Maybe this will be important? (I think we heard the clock chimes in teasers for s4.)

Joyce with an axe in front of Will, (Erica and Robin?) in a barn/shed(?) waiting for something to break in:

Karen holding Holly fearing for their lives: (Will Holly get abducted?)

Steve and Dustin in the Upside Down?

Hopper with El enduring some kind of psychic assault?

Mike in front of some kids. He looks outmatched and terrified! Joyce is holding on to someone who looks exhausted or wounded. Who is that? EDIT: Commenters think it's Will. I'm fairly certain it's him, too. So Mike risking his life for Will confirmed =D (Protective/heroic Mike FTW!)

Here it looks like 2 people (who are they?) are in the Upside Down looking at a GIGANTIC wall of nasty UD stuff:

WILL is the person whose scream "RUN!!!!!!" we'd all been speculating about. And my FUCKIN GOD WAS THAT INSANE. There's not just terror; there's anger too. Is he possessed? Is he yelling that people should run away from HIMSELF?

Noah reportedly saw an acting coach for this season because he was challenged this season. Netflix decided to hype Season 5 with Noah's acting ability. All the haters saying Noah can't act can EAT SHIT =D

TEASER FEELS OMG

Feel vindicated about 3 volumes. That's what I have been saying since S4 came out. People were like "All at once or weekly episodes ? Or maybe 2 volumes again?" and I was like: Nah, 3 parts for maximum hype, and I was right.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN END OF NOVEMBER TO NEW YEAR'S EVE? They really make us wait an entire fucking additional year after filming wrapped? The absolute last chance to still claim a 25 release date? AHHH The finale should be out November 6, with the rest in October or even September. This seems 2 months too long and needlessly cruel.

Okay that holiday release plan seems kinda fun tho... Now they REALLY need to use "The final countdown" in the final railer.

Is Vol 1 out on a SUNDAY??? Needless torture of Europeans again.

OKAY CONTENT OF THE TRAILER I can't even. All the Will centeredness. "The night it began" centeredness, the main trio feel. All the JOYCE! Wet, protective Mike, who probably just fished Will out of lover's lake.

That LEGENDARY scream! Will be used as a reaction gif for the next 30+ years. Absolutely iconic already!

Holy crap! This is a show that gives fine attention to details.

The idea that we might be seeing Will who is NOT possessed but is just trying to use powers here actually makes sense. (It might be as simple as Will just trying to "spy back" at Vecna or the Mind Flayer, the way Mike said they could do in s2.)

The idea that Will is going to find a way to turn the tables on Vecna using his connection makes a lot of sense for his character's arc. And it's clear from the Duffer quote I read in the video that Will likely becomes a hero this season.
