I'm once again thinking about the missed opportunities to have Klaus and Kol bond more. Part of Klaus' whole motivation as a vampire is to get his werewolf part back and to finally be stronger than Mikael (sort of, I'm simplifying) both of which can be obtained by breaking his curse. But Kol? Kol is the only other original that can relate to having a fundamental part of themself ripped away from them. Klaus might not have known he was a werewolf until he killed, but he likely still had a connection he couldn't explain, as evident by him going to watch the wolves transform. And something he'd never been able to explain was now gone. He might only be able to realise the connection afterwards through its absence.

Kol though. Kol had grown up with magic, a connection to nature and the world around him in a way the rest of his siblings supposedly didn't have. And then he gets turned. And not only has his baby brother died, his father has just murdered him and the rest of his siblings after forcing them to drink human blood, which he'll later learn. Now, not only does he have to deal with the grief of Henrik's death and also his own but also the loss of his magic. A loss that's likely only worsened by Kol being a self-proclaimed child prodigy.

Kol is pretty much the only one who could understand what Klaus is going through with the binding of his wolf. We know Kol searched for ways to get his magic back/carry on practicing magic in the same way that Klaus was looking for ways to break his curse. While Klaus likely could still feel his wolf there despite being bound, Kol has no access to his magic anymore. I just think they should've been able to bond or connect over their shared loss of an intrinsic aspect of their selves at the hands of their parents

I had a random idea of Stefan fiddling with his ring and Damon having a heart attack every time he sees him doing it. I do that with my own jewelry, is how the idea even came while I was doing that with one of my rings; Stefan logically knows that if he takes it off he will burn- but he does it either way and Damon sees him doing and dies all over again. Enzo probably would as well of he saw Stefan doing that honestly-

Honestly, every move Stefan makes is going to freak Damon out for quite a bit. The fiddling of the ring is just the tip of the iceberg.

I think when most vampires turn, they forget that they can actually die. It just takes more than an average human. So, Stefan acting indestructible and like he's king of the world would freak Damon out.

Enzo is the much calmer one of the two and he'd honestly just straight up put Stefan in his place. Let him know that he needs to be careful and really lay into how all the dangers can effect not just him, but others around him.

Bonnie Bennett in The Originals ‘verse (5/?)  

Bonnie feels sticky. She blames that on the fact that five feet from where they stand alligators lazily show their bellies in the mid afternoon sun. She decides that she will have a love/hate relationship with the bayou.

"Interesting choice of place to meet," she says as she slaps at a mosquito. They have been relentless and part of her wonders if they can taste magic in her blood (it's a ridiculous thought but no more ridiculous than standing opposite Rebekah Mikaelson in the swamp).

"I can't have my brother seeing me cavorting with the enemy, now can I?" Rebekah snarks back but she too is swatting her hand. Bonnie tries not to laugh at the irony of a vampire being bothered by something designed to suck her blood.

Bonnie's head tilts to the side. "I was under the impression that you don't much care what your brother thinks."

"I don't. But I am also not bloody stupid, witch," Rebekah points out. "If Niklaus even suspects I am talking to you of all people I will be dodging daggers. I would rather avoid the coffin. I have just gotten used to this centuries' fashion sense. Or lack there of." There is a pointed look at Bonnie's attempt to stay fashionable while cool at the same time.

Bonnie tries to let the insults bounce off her. She crosses her arms and resorts to business mode. "Okay, fine, then why are you cavorting with the enemy then, Rebekah? What do you want from me?"

"My brother."

She snorts. "I can't help you with Klaus."

"My other brother. Elijah," Rebekah clarifies. "Klaus has gone and done something awful to him. I know it. The bastard is tight lipped about it and I didn't drag myself all the way to this cursed city and into the bayou not to figure out what has happened. You can help me. You can find Elijah."

Bonnie raises both her brows. "And just why would I want to do that?" She has no love for the Mikaelson family but she carries a special brand of distaste for the man who led to her mother being turned.

There is a long pause and when Rebekah speaks she seems to have difficulty with the words. "Because I will owe you," she begins. "And so will Elijah. That is two powerful vampires at your service. You would be a fool to give up this chance."

Bonnie may be many things.

But she is no fool.

    SHE WAS LOUNGING,     in the vastness that was the tub in damon's room. the half-demon was visiting from New Orleans, and whilst she had caught up with ll the drama that had been happening. she had also decided she needed a moment to relax. thus she'd commandeered the raven-haired vampires bathroom. though in her defense, it's what he deserved for having such a posh-looking one in the first place. sighing softly as the boiling hot water eases the tension in her bones, she turns as she hears the tell-tale sounds of feet. gering up to shout at damon for distubing her privacy, she can't help but smile as she sees it's stefan. her preferred salvatore.  ❛  long time no see handsome ....   ❜ she teases. mostly in regards to the fact she'd been away, and hadn't seen him since she'd returned either. reaching for the glass of bourbon she had close to her head, she tilts her head looking at him. a small smirk forms that she soon hides behind the glass. ❛   was there something you needed ........ !   ❜

oh my, he's a long way from suburban towns is a part of the doppelgänger-verse that makes up the bleak are the heavens, darker the gods series! The doppelgängers in this fic are Ari Levinson (Chris Evans, The Red Sea Diving Resort) and Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan, Gossip Girl).

Ari finds that he's a very long way from home when he meets vampire-witch hybrid Carter who's looking for someone to take care of him amidst the elite society that is the Upper East Side in NYC. Ari's a little less than human and realizes his own proclivities might scare little baby Carter away.

Just like the rest of the French Quarter, this place is loud and excessive.  She turns her nose up as she steps inside, hoping to make this quick.  She is on a scouting mission --- getting her first look at the enemy. 

The witches have prepared her, spinning a tail of a monster.  A true product of his sire (and she understands what that means all too well).  

What she finds in that cramped bar...is not the picture she has in her head. 

Marcel Gerard belts out a song, his raspy voice slightly off key.  His frame slides to the beat, hips rolling as he gives it his all.  The crowd around her raise their drinks and cheer.  She doesn’t know what to think. 

Then his eyes find her, the only body not swaying in a sea of people.

Marcel leans forward, his voice changing, taking on a more sultry tone.  He is singing to her and only her.  She wonders if he knows who she is.  She wonders if he knows why she is there.  She almost hopes so because she wants to wipe that smarmy look off his face in the end.

When the song is over, she claps appreciatively as he continues to stare her down.

Oh, how she is going to enjoy this.

        “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Annie admits as she looks sheepishly at the painting before them. It was her first time at a gallery, and she hoped she didn’t stand out too much.

Ying doesn't look over as she prepares the syringes needed for the process. It is not in her mandate to question why someone ends up before her, just that she extracts all that she can from them. That is her role at Triad and she's not meant to question it.

The liquid in the vial she picks up glows a sickly shade of orange, a potion of her own creation that is meant to serve as a truth serum... with additional incentive. It will hurt, but only if she lies, and Ying is mostly confident that Floribeth is telling the truth. By the time people get to her, they've already exhausted the usual remedies. But bruises and broken bones are irrelevant to a vampire, which is why she's been delivered to Ying. Her expertise in potions gives her a unique advantage, and is precisely why Veronica Greasley sought out her skills from the Red Room.

She turns around to face the girl, a blank expression on her face as she takes in the fear in her eyes. Ying had been taught that vampires and their ilk could only feel negative things like pain, fury, devastation. Every sense was heightened by the curse that made them immortal, and she's reminded why she shouldn't underestimate them, even if they look deceptively fragile. "This will sting."

It's the only warning she gives before she dips the tip of the syringe into a vervain solution before sliding it into Flori's elbow, injecting the potion directly into her bloodstream. Ying tidies up her workspace as she gives the serum time to do it's work, and after a few minutes, she takes a seat in front of Floribeth.

"Now, tell me everything there is to know about Milton Greasley."
