“I’m grateful for the presents, Master Anan, Mistress Siphok. Please pass my thanks to Master Charin as well,” Cloche curtsied, “I’ll admit I was …confused when you said Master Charin would ‘take me out to dinner’ but I’m glad that’s cleared up— not that I wouldn’t attend if it were an order.” Suddenly, her ears perked up, “Oh— and please tell Master Charin the price he’d pay for my dinner wouldn’t be much.”

Cloche met Anan’s and Siphok’s eyes as she took the art supplies and scarf.

“Thank you for the watercolour and pencils, Mistress Siphok. It’s been a while since I’ve lasted painted with watercolour, and pencils always run out too quickly,” a small smile poked the corners of Cloche’ lips before she snubbed it down. Regardless, the sparkle in her eyes were the cracks of her cool facade. “I know I shouldn’t use graphite and paints sparingly, but I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting them. I’ll make something worthwhile with your gift— I promise.”

Cloche inspected the silk scarf from Anan, “Smooth and cool to the touch… I’m amazed you wove this, Master Anan.” She folded up the scarf into a smaller square than it initially was, then stacked it on top of the watercolour set. “I’m afraid I can’t wear this now, since my interviewer will be coming over to give me the ‘gift of good fortune’… Either way— silk can still be admired, hung on display.”

My favorite Azul hc is he has a hot mom /hj (but it's true guys I've met her /j)

I don't know if I have a fave hc? Mostly bc I don't remember them sjkdfka My favorite things about him are canon, y'see, so hopefully it's okay if I talk about that instead? Prepare for a lot of rambling which I will put under the cut bc I'm afraid it'll be too long

One of my most favorite things about him was shown in Chapter 6: the fact that he still doesn't think he's doing enough and still wants to do SO much more. The scenes I'm talking about showed that he's super ambitious and wants to achieve all of those goals—beating Riddle at #1 in their grade, opening a new Mostro Lounge branch, etc. I already admired him a lot before because he's a dorm leader as a second-year, runs a business, does research related to economics, and tons of other things. I was like, “Wow, he's doing so much for his age and he's still doing so well?? I wish I could be like that.” It's especially because Azul and I are practically opposites I think? We're really different. That's probably mostly why.

Slightly going off topic, that scene is so special to me, though. Azul and Riddle know each other's strengths and how they both work hard to get to where they are and I'm just *sobbing on the floor*.

Anyways, continuing what I was saying, he also talks about when he was younger and how he didn't try as much before. He talked about how his family wouldn't be strict about schoolwork and just let him do what he wanted. He was spoiled when he was younger, but after he got bullied, he was motivated to become better (as he should, he did not deserve that and I'm WKSNCKSNF). And I'm just so proud of him because he didn't just give up and he became a version of himself where he could be more confident and I *curls up and cries* And this isn't even remotely close to a hc anymore I'm just talking about everything that's canon...

... I think that's it for that part. If you wanna hear about more light-hearted things, tho, we have: the fact that he can play the piano and he's REALLY good at telling what ingredients are in something just by tasting it like hello???

I'm a sort of musical person, I enjoy playing the piano, singing, listening to music, so. That's probably why the fact that he plays the piano stands out so much to me. You can tell me about any character that plays the piano and I will turn my head so fast. And I NEED CONTENT OF HIM PLAYING THE PIANO, DISNEY, PLEASE I'M STARVING

As for the second thing, the first time I read about it, I went “Wh. What?? Hello?? How did he— What?????” BECAUSE LIKE?? THAT'S SO IMPRESSIVE??? (If you wanna read it, it's Azul's dorm uniform vignette. Not completely sure if there's another time he does that but Jade does mention it either in the Applepom story or vignette, idk)

AND NOW I ACTUALLY DO THINK OF A HEADCANON. He's very good at cooking. Period. This is based on facts. I will not take criticism because I'm right. (And I cannot cook for the life of me, I am asking for his hand in marriage rn. This is why we'd be a good match /j)

(hey hello hi new follower and I love your work) For the oc interaction I hand you Melanie and Louise!!

"It's a pleasure to meet you all!" The young girl curtsies to the three before rising. "I know we've never met before but I'm part of the Ramshackle dorm, here!" She then hands Siphok a small basket of bright red strawberries. "I grew them myself, I hope we can get along!" Soon enough a little mouse emerged from Melanie's breast pocket, scurrying up to her shoulder before bowing. "And I'm Louise, trusted knight of her highness! Pleased to meet you!" He squeaked proudly causing her to giggle.

Anan gives a curt bow, pressing a hand to his chest, “Good morning, and pleasure to meet you Miss Melanie.” His eyes then trailed over to Charin, who’s hands are behind his head in a relaxed manner. “This is my body guard Charin. Please, don’t mind his-“

“The pleasure is all mine, Melanie.” Charin says with his usual flirty tone of voice that makes Anan sigh internally. “How sweet of you to gift us these lovely strawberries? How about we all enjoy them together over a cup of tea?”

Of course, Anan’s eyes were already glued onto the small mouse in Melanie’s breast pocket. Oh my. What an adorable, fluffy little thing! It’s passionate about its duties as the girl’s trusted knight too! How benevolent. Surely Louise and Charin would get along—

It was even five minutes until Louise was chewing on Charin’s ears and kicking his feet on the poor half-merman. Anan stared blankly. Should he stop the fight, or should he continue to stare at how small Louis is- how Louis could definitely fit into his palms. Or those socks humans hang by the fireplace on Christmas. Oh wait! Maybe he should knit Louis a tiny scarf? Yes..yes, that shall do.

Meanwhile, Melanie and Siphok were too busy enjoying the strawberries and the tea that Charin offered (Siphok had to brew them, because Charin was dragged away by a rather protective knight.)

“You grow the strawberries yourself?” Siphok asks, trying to ignore how Charin was pretending to be defeated by Louise while Anan stares blankly at Louise from a feet away. “You gotta show me your tricks! Everything I grow dies.” She laughs.

My art is in it’s flop era💔 First pic was a million years ago (still dedicated to this ask) the second one slayed (also a million years ago) and I FLOPPED SO HARD ON THE THIRD I HOPE I DREW MELANIE RIGHT😭 honestly, Melanie is such a sweetheart I love how she gives off idol vibes🥺 AND LOUISE RRAAAAAAAA HE’S SO SILLY I LOVE HOW HE;S SO DEDICATED ON BEING MELANIE’S KNIGHT IT’S ADORABLE😭

I was torn between drawing Siphok and Grim waving lightsticks while Melanie performs at monstro lounge jshdijsunjcjosjudn but decided to stick to the prompt!

Just a question - how do you draw? More specifically, how do you draw eyes and hair? I really love your art style but I am hopeless when it comes to drawing

I tried to simplify the instructions as best as I can! Lmk if you’re confused!<33

This is how I draw hair. The hairstyles depends on the character’s personality. If they’re prim and proper, I go for more neat hairstyles. If they outgoing and energetic, I’ll draw the hair unkempt and messy!

Before I go on, you can use these ‘tutorials’ for practicing! But I recommend you search ‘anime hairstyle/eyes’ on pinterest. I’ve been doing that since I began practicing art. Don’t forget that practice makes progress!

It’s okay to feel hopeless sometimes because art takes a reaallyyyy long time to master😭 I started drawing since I was in grade 3 and I still need to keep practicing. Take your time and have fun. Draw what you want to draw. I also recommended tracing HOWEVER do not post the art you traced. It’s for practice ONLY! That said, look at a TON of photos on pinterest. It helps a lot!

[ Charin sees a black and purple box, specifically in the hues of a specific underwater-dorm. Upon opening the box he finds that it has a pair of tickets, one to the aquarium, and the other to an art gallery. There is a note at the bottom of the box, it reads- "With how secretive you are by nature, its difficult to see what you like and what you hate. Enjoy your day." The neat handwriting is easy to read, not messy nor overwhelmingly cursive. The note is not signed. ] . A/N : Of course, the gift is from me, not that Charin has any way of finding out for himself. Ps. Can I know what the birthday boy's first impression of me would be like? I'd assume it'd either be through you or Jade-- maybe Azul, if the deal Charin made with him required my help. What can i say, my UM is useful for fetching people-

Charin plops down on the couch where Siphok was sitting. She’s eating a slice of cake, her eyes glued to it as she stuffs a rather large piece in her mouth. He made no comment on that, though he did pull her closer to him, making Siphok almost choke on her food.

“Okay, birthday boy, can you not do that out of nowhere??” Siphok says before she went back to eating.

Charin ignored that comment and simply smiled, “I got a note from one of your friends.” He says. Siphok arches a brow, urging him to continue. “It’s the water nymph of Octavinelle.” He hands her the note, letting Siphok read it.

“How would you know?” Siphok asks after a long pause.

“Hand writing.” He replied, sighing as he slouches deeper into the couch, “I don’t know if I should thank her personally, she’s quite reserved isn’t she?”

Siphok nods, “I can send her your thanks though, if you want. You have to pay me back with snacks, though.” She snickers.

Charin smiles, “Thanks, I’ll pay you back.”

HERMMMMMM CHARIN’S FIRST IMPRESSION, YEAH? He’d probably have seen you passing by before, probably walking around in Octavinelle when he had to meet up with Azul! He was curious about your water-like hair, and made a guess to himself that you’d either be a half-mer or a water nymph! And while Jade would ramble on and on about Charin’s tail, he’d sometimes blurt out about missing you. So he had around an idea or two about what you’d be like!!

I don’t really use the all-star brush anymore actually, i mainly use honey if I want to color something in a soft style :,]
