Just saying, it may have started out artificial and toxic, but I've really been loving to see how Surge and Kit's bond has slowly been changing to an actual bond, almost merely because of their shared trauma, and they're the only ones they trust. 🥺 Underrated siblinghood right here.

At first, Timmy was adamantly against the Pixies. He'd tell Jorgen every time he got a notice of their plans to take over Fairyworld, and work to stop it! But it gets a bit harder to resist against your own court the longer you hang out with them.

In the present time, Timmy schedules to be out of FairyWorld during their takeovers. He doesn't try to stop them, but also refuses to be anywhere near when it happens.

He... doesn't like how he's slowly starting to cheer for them. Or how their arguments are becoming more convincing. Or how he's struggling to recall why he was so against them to begin with.

There will come a point where he becomes an active participant. Timmy worries that it's coming sooner than he'd like.

....Ah, hell. I'm gonna give in to my self-indulgent mood tonight and share a snippet I wrote some time ago for Tsukia and Haurchefant. Those who wish to read it, proceed. Those who don't can still have a complimentary cookie and cup of cocoa. 🤭☕🍪

Haurchefant walked into his office, then paused, his heart softening as he smiled at the sight before him. 

Tsukia was curled up in his chair, tail wrapped around herself as she dozed. 

Quietly chuckling, he walked over, bending down and reaching out to gently caress her cheek. “Sleepy?”

“Nn…” She sleepily hugged his neck, nuzzling closer. Carefully, he picked her up before sitting with her snuggled in his lap. Tsukia gave a slumberous sigh of contentment, her tail tucked against them as she started to drift back off. His warmth and scent somehow encouraged her into a deeper sleep. One that always let her escape the nightmares that occasionally plagued her. 

With him, everything was quiet. There was just the sound of his heartbeat. Steady. Strong.

“Sleep, love. I’m here.”

Haurchefant’s arms were around her, providing security. 

This… This is what she’d been longing for without ever realizing it. 

A safe place to be vulnerable. To be protected.

To be loved.

“...You’re not mad?” she whispered, barely able to keep awake enough to ask.

He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “No. Not with you. Never with you.”

Tsukia couldn’t help wondering why. Usually, she would have been yelled at, scolded, blamed… It was why she had been sitting here, anxious, waiting for the lecture, the anger she knew from experience would come. 

…But it didn’t.

The tension that had been tying her stomach into knots disappeared, soothed by his tender touch. It was enough to bring Tsukia close to tears.

Though sleep claimed her before they could fall.

I've been thinking about something that happened a few years ago to me that's funny and just Tails and Sonic in a similar situation.

So bit of a personal story time first. I have an older sister and we look and act nothing alike. (Like it's to the point people assume I'm related to my brother-in-law first before my own sister) Well at her wedding I was helping to get her ready and the photographer was taking pics with her assistant. Now we knew both the photographer and the assistant girl, photographer from church and the assistant from highschool/dance classes, so both of them had known both me and my sister for years. So I'm in the wedding party and already ready and the assistant girl comes up to me and was like "Omg how are you! I didn't know you even knew the bride how do you two know each other?" And like she is a super nice person and I had to look her dead in the eye and go "oh she's my sister..." Ya'll the 5 sec reboot I caused this girl to go through is still funny to me to this day and the look of confusion and panic when what I said sunk in. Cause like what is she supposed to say after that when why the fact me and my sister have the same last name finally clicked.

Anyways now I'm just thinking of a scenario when someone is talking to Tails and it's something for Sonic (like a party or something). And someone comes up to Tails, maybe someone who knew Sonic a long time ago and just doesn't keep up with the news and has never meet or heard of Tails somehow. (Or maybe it's just a rando and they're trying to be mean to Tails and have that self important attitude of 'why are you even here?' to Tails) But they come up to Tails and are like "oh hey how do you know Sonic??" and Tails just looks them dead in the eye and just goes "oh he's my older brother." And just cue the panic and surprise and they try to put two and two together but they're blue screening over what Tails just said.

Idk we were looking at the wedding photo's while organizing and this popped into my head lol.

it's just that i can't understand why you would choose to write a narrative that is more mysoginistic than the source material when the source material was written in 1891.

was it intentional? did they somehow not pick up on the implications? was it random?
