This is a Rhythm Master Drum Machine.
The machine has 4 voice circuits, they are on the board with visible components. From left to right; a kick drum, two toms/clavs, and a noise voice. The voices are triggered in different combinations to simulate 7 different drums, with varying degrees of verisimilitude.
There are 10 preset patterns selected by buttons on the front panel. Although not designed to play more then one pattern at a time, it is possible to force more then one button down at a time.
The machine has no memory, the patterns are etched onto the circuit board. All the other circuitry is made with discrete transistors.
This particular unit has no case, No idea how that happened. but I'm putting it into a 2u rack-mount enclosure. It also didn't work, but I fixed that some time ago.

gameplay >>>> graphics
this is why i end up buying a lot more indie games than aaa games
just shapes and beats gameplay: absolute bullet hell, memorize every pattern, interlaced hardcore s rank just shapes and beats graphics: pink
the flat desgins are cool but not ray-tracing level, but it's still a fun game
factorio gameplay: modular factories, make bus, nuclear warfare, manage space, go space, literally become a fucking software engineer
factorio graphics:

this is my favourite game
and then there's teardown, which is just a feat of engineering. it has beautiful graphics, but that doesnt take away from the gameplay and experimentation. one guy made an entire ray tracer, physics engine, destruction simulation, and procedural effects. its an absolutely awe-inspiring game that deserves attention.
and dont even get me started on zachtronics

Look at all these wires and shit that link up to all the buttons and DEFINITELY DONT BREAK EASLY (I couldn't get to the analog paddles 3:)

The resistance mechanism is rad tho. It uses rope tension to create resistance the more you turn the wheel. Ive never taken apart something like this before so its really cool to me

You ever have a complaint about something and think it's a common problem but then it turns out you couldn't be more wrong?
I love the game Teardown, as it has so many missions that encourage creative problem solving, and my only proble with it was that I wish there were more missions. Nit even mods have missions, always just maos without any objective.
So I wanted to see if people had the same opinion and saw a post that literally said like "This game is a scam, I wanted a sandbix but got some sort of secret agent game where I gotta ateal shit", and like. I have like the exact opposite opinion of that, and that sirta moment is always very surprising to me
