The Pre-Timeline of Dimension 20
Just because I've seen a lot of confusion about this following the release of The Roll of a Lifetime: How Dimension 20 Sold Out Madison Square Garden, in which the story of how Dimension 20 got started is edited in such a way that viewers come away with an odd impression about the timeline, I thought I'd put together as clear and annotated a timeline as I can of how and when the Intrepid Heroes met, got into D&D, and got cast in Dimension 20, plus some of the greater context they were operating in. All of this is publicly available information, gleaned mostly from years of interviews, Adventuring Parties, NADDPod Short Rests, and social media posts.
1998: Noted science-fiction author Elaine Lee signs her ten-year-old son Brennan up for a Dungeons & Dragons game at October Country, a local comics and gaming shop, in order to provide him with a social and creative outlet after having to start homeschooling him due to pervasive bullying at school. Within weeks, he begins running his own games for fellow children.
December 1999: CollegeHumor.com launches, posting user-submitted funny and/or titillating content from around the web. Within a few years, banner ad revenue and merch sales have made its founders young tech millionaires. By 2004 they are hiring writers to produce original content.
August 2006: CollegeHumor is acquired by InterActive Corp. Shortly thereafter, Sam Reich is hired to produce video content on the strength of videos he'd posted online of his improv team Dutch West.
April 2007: CollegeHumor staff writers Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld begin posting videos of themselves performing absurdist sketches in their downtime at work; this inspires the long-running Hardly Working series, in which CollegeHumor staff appear as heightened versions of themselves in the office.
2008: Brian Murphy is hired to answer phones at the CollegeHumor offices. He soon begins writing for the website and appearing in videos, striking up a nerdy friendship with staff artist Caldwell Tanner.
2011: Emily Axford is hired by CollegeHumor as part of a wave of new talent as the original CollegeHumor cast moves on to bigger opportunities. She and Murph are memorably cast as romantic interests in Jake & Amir videos; some time later, they begin dating.
Early 2014: CollegeHumor's video team relocates to Los Angeles in order to establish themselves as a traditional TV production house, including shows like Adam Ruins Everything and the Jake and Amir series Lonely and Horny. Murph and Emily are among the cast who make the move. They marry in September and begin developing the TV sketch show Hot Date.
Early 2015: Siobhan Thompson, Zac Oyama, and Grant O'Brien are hired to write and act in sketches for CollegeHumor as cast turnover continues. Emily and Siobhan become close friends, and Zac bonds with Murph and Emily over anime.
August 2015: Jake and Amir, having quit CollegeHumor earlier that year, start the podcast network Headgum, whose initial slate of podcasts is shows by other CollegeHumor alums.
November 2015: Brennan Lee Mulligan wins $50,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, pays back a loan for medical expenses, and begins the process of relocating to Los Angeles to pursue more opportunities in production and development.
July 2016: Siobhan throws herself a birthday party, inviting people she knows from doing comedy in New York and Los Angeles. At the party, Emily overhears Brennan talking about D&D and corners him to ask him to run a game for her and her friends. During the conversation, Zac turns around, asking what they're talking about, and gets invited too. Siobhan, Zac, Emily, Murph, and Adam Ruins Everything producers Jon Wolf and Travis Helwig start playing in a home game with Brennan DMing. Murph plays a paladin, Emily a druid, Siobhan a ranger, and Zac a monk.
Around the same time: Lou Wilson meets Brennan through Upright Citizens Brigade (where Brennan coaches improv) and begins playing in a different home game as a barbarian. Both of these games are played in 3.5, Brennan's preferred edition of Dungeons & Dragons at the time.
September 2016: Murph, Emily and Caldwell start 8 Bit Book Club, a podcast about video game adaptations, on the Headgum network.
April 2017: Ally Beardsley is hired (along with Raphael Chestang and Rekha Shankar) to join the CollegeHumor sketch-video cast, as Siobhan has left to pursue other opportunities and Murph and Emily are busy with Adam Ruins Everything and Hot Date. During this round of hiring, Brennan is considered but doesn't make the cut, although a few months later he is hired part-time to write questions for Um, Actually. Ally and Zac become close friends and perform improv together.
Summer 2017: Zac leaves CollegeHumor to write on a new season of Adam Ruins Everything. Rather than go through another round of auditions and hires, Sam bumps Brennan up to main cast.
Fall 2017: Wanting more of a return out of their investment, IAC insists on CollegeHumor starting its own streaming service. Existing staff are required to pitch original shows. Brennan is halfway through writing a pitch document for a TTRPG actual play, citing the success of The Adventure Zone and Critical Role, when he is called into a meeting and asked how he would feel about DMing an actual play.
October 2017: Brian Murphy guests on If I Were You, Jake and Amir's flagship podcast, and explains Dungeons & Dragons. Jake is intrigued, Amir not so much.
November 2017: Dimension 20 begins the planning stages. For the next three months, Brennan works with producer David Kerns, coordinator Ebony Hardin, director Michael Schaubach and designer Rick Perry to develop a unique set, feel, and pace for the show. After some chemistry test games, the initial cast is set as Brian Murphy, Emily Axford, Siobhan Thompson, Zac Oyama, Lou Wilson, and Rekha Shankar, who has never played before.
December 2017: At a Headgum Christmas party, Jake Hurwitz corners Murph and suggests that they start a D&D podcast so that Jake can play.
January 18, 2018: Murph, Emily, Caldwell and Jake announce Not Another D&D Podcast on an episode of 8 Bit Book Club.
February 7, 2018: The first shooting day of Fantasy High, which will be the first season of Dimension 20. Only a few weeks before shooting, Rekha has a scheduling conflict and can't fit Dimension 20 in between her duties as head writer of CollegeHumor's sketches and developing other shows for Dropout; Ally Beardsley becomes her replacement at the Dimension 20 table. It is Ally's first time playing D&D at all; it is Brennan, Zac, Siobhan, and Lou's first time playing 5th edition. Earlier that day, Brennan shoots the first CEO video, which will net him viral notoriety and a vocal fanbase within the CollegeHumor audience, with an undercurrent of "finally, a straight white man" to the praise.
February 8, 2018: The first campaign episode of Not Another D&D Podcast is released. It releases weekly thereafter, and they are 32 episodes in and have done their first live show before Dimension 20 premieres.
September 26, 2018: The first two episodes of Fantasy High are available when Dropout goes live. It is the immediate breakout hit of the platform, so much so that the second season, The Unsleeping City, goes into production while Fantasy High is airing; but because it will take so long to edit before it's ready to air, a short "sidequest" is filmed in a weekend with Matt Mercer, Erika Ishii, Amy Vorpahl and Ify Nwadiwe from the online gaming world and Mike Trapp and Rekha from CollegeHumor to tide the audience over, establishing D20's production rhythms for the next several years.

Love your writing! Would love to see overprotective P when someone’s intentionally fouling or being to rough with Azzi eventually causing her to land bad and get a concussion. Then her being all worried and cute
protect you
a/n: thank you so much and thank you for the idea!! i’m trying to write at least once a day so bare with me. i also whipped this up in like 20 mins so i apologize if it kinda sucks
3rd POV
it was late in the 3rd quarter and gampel was buzzing. uconn was playing up 73-51 against villanova, paige had a near triple double, azzi was knocking down 3s like crazy; the game was in their favor. azzi, however, had a crazy defender on her—fouling her, playing rough with her. azzi was getting frustrated but someone that was noticeably more frustrated was paige.
the 4th quarter starts and azzi goes for a steal and scores an easy layup, she’s up to 27 points. back on the defensive end, the opposing teams player shoots a 3. she misses and azzi goes for the rebound. suddenly, azzi is knocked to the ground by her defender. on her way down, the back of her head hits one of her teammates legs, hard. azzi is on the ground, clutching her head while holding back tears. paige runs to her immediately. the crowd goes silent.
“AZZI” paige yells as she gets down to the brunettes level
azzi’s head is pounding. her ears are slightly ringing and her visions getting blurry, though she can’t tell if it’s from her head or the facts that her eyes are welling with tears.
the other 4 on the floor are standing around her, hoping she’ll get up and shake it off. she doesn’t though and soon, janelle, the teams athletic training, is running over the girl on the ground. azzi is helped up and walked into the locker room, still clutching her head. as azzi exits the game, the refs call for a play review.
after review, the play is ruled a common foul. paige is livid.
“are you fucking kidding me?!” paige yells at the refs, “she just got knocked to the ground and you’re calling that a common foul? are you fucking blind?”
just then, the ref blows her whistle. a technical foul is called on her. now geno is the one who’s livid. the crowd is booing, geno is getting held back by his staff, and paige is in disbelief. next thing you know, paige is sitting on the bench getting an angry stare from her coach.
paige is benched that whole quarter.
the buzzer signaling the end of the 4th quarter sounds, uconn wins 89-63. paige, however, is still as angry as ever. boy does she have something to say to azzi’s defender in the handshake line.
“do that to her again and see what happens” she lashes at the opposing player. the player only scoffs in return, unfazed.
paige immediately runs to the training room as soon as the handshake line is over, not even caring if she has to do a post game interview. as soon as paige spots azzi, she’s quick to be by her side.
“azzi!” she exclaims while walking over to her, “i got her as soon as i could what happ-” she started before being cut off
“just stop paige” azzi responded sternly, shooting her a glare
paige cocks her head to the side, suddenly confused
“getting a tech? are you insane?” azzi replies to her gesture
paige was about to lose it. her girlfriend is injured for who knows how long and now she’s mad at her too?
“are you insane azzi? you know i did that to protect you!”
azzi scoffed, “and how is getting a tech protecting me exactly?”
“you were getting pushed around all game and the refs did nothing about it! it was bullshit!” paige replied, slightly yelling
azzi winced, head still pounding, “please just stop yelling. it hurts my head and i don’t want to hear it”
paige was silent in an instant, suddenly putting her anger aside and remembering the state her girlfriend was in.
“what did they say” she asked softly
“i have a concussion. im out for a week or two”
paige responded by wrapping her arms around the younger girls neck. azzi melted into her touch.
“i’m sorry i yelled and i know it was stupid of me to get a tech but my only intention was to stand up for you” paige whispered as she placed a soft kiss to azzi’s temple
“i know and im sorry for getting mad at you. thank you for sticking up for me, i love you” azzi responded softly
“i love you too. so much that i would do anything for you, even if that means getting benched” paige smirked
azzi let out a soft chuckle and the two made their way back to the locker room to celebrate the win.

okay. another gut-wrenching fic idea, inspired by rereading sotr. a hunger games au where you grew up in the districts with the marauders but when your parents were hung for being traitors, you were taken by the capitol for human experimentation. the marauders grieve you and refuse to forget you.
the year after, remus is reaped and survives his games. for the next three years, remus puts all his energy into mentoring and trying to help the steady stream of tributes. he tries to find purpose in helping them survive while he knows prongsfoot and dorlene work with the rebellion somewhere underground. remus cares for every tribute he ends up with, giving his all even at just 20 years old.
when a girl is reaped who looks exactly like you, though, remus immediately cares for her more than any tribute before her. he sees his long lost love and friend and wants to help you survive in this form, even if he couldn’t help the real you. when she is unjustly killed by another tribute in the training centre, it hits remus hard.
the pain of that loss still has nothing on the feeling that floors him when the president brings in a body double to cover up her death — and beneath all the styling and adjustments, remus recognises you.
to recognise you and not be able to lunge for you in front of the president is torture. to see the vacant look in your eyes as you assume the tribute’s name is torture. to realise he only confuses you more when he tries to call you by your real name in private is torture.
remus believes he failed you by letting them take you and believes he failed the tribute you replaced by not being able to protect her. he refuses to fail you again. not again. he does everything in his power to get you through to the games. even if that means having to pretend you’re the fallen tribute, to coach you into pretending you’re her for the cameras. even if that means watching you spiral and be tortured through your earpiece. to be the shell of both the girl you've been programmed to be and yourself.
he gets in touch with the rebels he knows inside the capitol — moody posing as gamemaker, frank working as the district 3 tech genius — to help him disable your earpiece and drug channel secretly, to try and remove their ability to harm you further. to then secretly trying to remind you of you really are once the interviewing is over. to remind you of the rebellion that runs through your veins, of the memories you’ve shared. whispered promises to make up lost time, chasing the glint of recognition in your eyes.
when you're in the games, capitol programming and remus' voice war in your head, all the while the president tries harder than ever to kill you — body doubles can’t become victors without the capitol's trickery being exposed. remus is ravaged by desperation as your mentor, doing everything he can to get you through it. colluding with the rebellion, pulling on sponsors, manipulating gamemakers.
when you do survive your games, whether that be through unsuspected victory or a coup d’etat finally ending the dictatorship, remus intends to fulfill his promise to get you back to yourself. all the while other, cruder rebels call you a lost cause or a lunatic, remus cradles you like you're the most precious thing he knows; because you are. even if you spend the entire rest of your life trying to gain your footing, he will not leave your side, intent on bringing his girl back to him.

Shot Clock’s Heartbeat — Part 4
Tumblr media
꒰ 🍒 ꒱ Caitlin Clark x You ꒱ 🍒 ꒱ MASTERLIST MORE
4/5 - Part 1 , Part 2, Part 3, Part 5
⭑ pairing: Caitlin Clark x reader (UConn!fem!reader)
⭑ summary:Months of tension come to a head when UConn and Iowa finally face off again. You’re not holding back—not on the court, not with the fans, and definitely not with Caitlin. And this time, she doesn’t either.
⭑ genre: enemies to flirty rivals, sports tension, spicy subtext
⭑ warnings: swearing, taunting, cocky energy, mention of Caitlin’s boyfriend, tension you could cut with a knife
⭑ word count: ~0.8k
Tumblr media
You were already hot before tip-off. Not in a vanity way—though, let’s be real, you looked good—but in the “I’ve been waiting to cook her since January” kind of way. The gym was packed, cameras locked in, energy loud enough to rattle the floor. UConn vs. Iowa wasn’t just a game anymore. It was the game. And you were front and center. Chest tight. Jaw clenched. Shit-eating grin already on your face.
You stretched with one AirPod in, chewing gum like it owed you money. Fans near the sideline were recording, whispering when they recognized you. The infamous UConn player with the mouth. And Caitlin? She hadn’t even looked your way yet.
“Why she act like we didn’t make national headlines last time?” you muttered to KK, who just smirked and shook her head.
The whistle blew. Tip-off came. The crowd surged. And from the jump, it was chaos.
Caitlin hit a deep three. You clapped. Literally clapped. “She got that. Y’all better guard her like she paid your rent.”
Then you hit one right back. Stepped back, flicked your wrist, and winked at her as you jogged back down.
She looked annoyed. You lived for it.
You kept jawing. Every time she missed, you let the air know. “I knew she was tired. Her legs told me.” After your second steal, you looked straight at her boyfriend—seated courtside with Iowa merch on—and smiled like you were saying grace. “She always fumbles when I’m around.”
You didn’t check the scoreboard once.
By halftime, it was tied. Fans were unhinged. Twitter was foaming. And while both teams walked to their locker rooms, you kept looking over your shoulder. Eyes hunting for hers. You wanted her to snap. To break. To do something.
And Caitlin? She just kept walking, jaw tight, refusing to give you the reaction you wanted.
But she was cracking. You saw it in the way she gripped her towel. The way her coach had to put a hand on her shoulder.
In the locker room, the team was on edge. Coach was talking about defense, rebounding, playing smart. You were barely listening. Just bouncing your leg, adrenaline still running, already planning your next line.
Then came the third quarter.
Elbows. Screens. Shoves. You bumped her on a drive and let your hand linger on her waist a second too long. She shoved you. You grinned. “Finally.”
She got called for a tech when she said something slick under her breath. You stepped to the free throw line, spun the ball once, and made the shot without looking at the rim.
The crowd lost its mind.
And then the cameras caught it—your smirk, that damn wink again. Social media ate it up before the buzzer even hit.
“Y’all are not rivals, y’all are foreplay,” one tweet read.
“Caitlin’s man ain’t slept in weeks,” another said.
“Imagine talking this much shit AND dropping 23 in her face.”
The comments were relentless.
And Caitlin? Oh, she was silent. But her eyes were screaming.
The final buzzer came. UConn by two.
You didn’t celebrate. Just pulled your jersey up over your mouth and walked off like it was just another day at work.
Reporters were already foaming by the time post-game interviews rolled around. You sat next to Coach. Caitlin was on the other podium with two teammates. Your eyes met for a second. That’s all it took.
“Y/N,” one reporter asked, “what was the energy like out there with all the attention this rivalry gets?”
You leaned into the mic, voice smooth. “It’s not a rivalry if it’s one-sided.”
The crowd gasped. Coach gave you a look.
“Do you think your comments get under Caitlin’s skin?”
“I don’t think. I know.”
Cameras flashed.
Later that night, you posted a pic on Instagram. No caption. Just you with your arm hanging over the bench, a smirk on your face, sweat glistening, the scoreboard blurry in the background.
Caitlin liked it.
Then unliked it.
Then liked it again an hour later.

Marinetti’s stronghold over Mussolini has striking parallels to America today—particularly with the rise of the “Dark Enlightenment” movement and its most vocal steward: software engineer and blogger Curtis Yarvin.
Largely ignored by academic philosophers, the “Dark Enlightenment” movement and Yarvin have curried favor and influence with tech executives in recent years. A software engineer by training, Yarvin has become a kind of official philosopher for tech leaders like PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel and Mosaic founder Marc Andreessen. Not unlike the Futurists, Yarvin advocates for replacing democracy with a kind of techno-feudal state—for the government to be run like a corporation, with the president as its “CEO.” This new system is elitist—“humans fit into dominance-submission structures” Yarvin wrote in 2008; and it’s authoritarian—“If Americans want to change their government, they’re going to have to get over their dictator phobia,” he said in 2012. There are shades of Yarvin’s philosophy in Thiel’s 2009 essay for the Cato Institute, where he wrote “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.” And Thiel, through his venture capital firm, Founders Fund, was an early investor in the blogger’s startup company Urbit. As for Yarvin’s controversial opinions and whether or not Thiel holds them, Yarvin has said that his patron is “fully enlightened,” as he had been “coaching Thiel.” What’s more, in a recent interview with the Hoover Institution, Andreessen quoted Yarvin and called him a “friend.”
What’s even more alarming is that Yarvin’s outsize influence on tech executives has now made its way to Washington.

“Ketamine is helpful for getting one out of the negative frame of mind,” Elon Musk told an interviewer last year. The unelected man currently gutting US federal programs isn’t the only one who thinks so. Ketamine, approved decades ago as a surgical anesthetic and long used as a party drug, is the off-label mental-health treatment of the moment. It induces a “trancelike” state of “sensory isolation,” researchers say, and may temporarily boost the brain’s neuroplasticity—which, in theory, makes mental ruts easier to escape. At the same time, ketamine abuse can be deadly, and the drug remains illegal to use without a prescription. (Musk says he has one from “an actual, real doctor.”)
WIRED spoke to the cofounders of an organization that offers ketamine-assisted leadership coaching in the San Francisco Bay Area. The two speakers are identified by pseudonyms, which they selected for themselves. Aria Stone has a doctorate in psychology. Shuang Shuang is a spiritual coach. The conversation has been edited for length and clarity.
Shuang Shuang: We fast-track coaching by really locking it in with the psychedelics. We deliver it to you on a cellular level.
Aria Stone: With ketamine, there’s a 24- to 48-hour window of optimization, when people’s brains are literally more neuroplastic, which is why this is a multiday experience.
SS: We call it an off-site, not a retreat, because we’re not retreating from anything. We don’t do them big—nine or 10 clients—partially due to the importance of confidentiality. Our clientele is primarily CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, CFOs, C-level founders of startups. All of them are in a pressure cooker.
AS: Those are the kind of leaders that come—people who have achieved so much in their life, and they’re like, “OK, what’s the next horizon? Because I’ve checked pretty much every box.”
SS:  Here are all the loneliest people. They have to lead and go through so many things by themselves. They can come and see that they’re not alone, and let go of the burden of being so protected all the time. They just want to be people.
To screen clients, we ask about their medical and psychological background, whether they currently work with a therapist, and whether they’ve participated in a group program before. We would slow down around accepting someone with a significant trauma history, someone who is actively suicidal or has a history of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, the latter of which can be contraindicated with ketamine.
AS: And since ketamine can certainly be misused, a history of substance abuse would also give us pause.
SS: Our off-site costs $2,600 for three days, plus a $350 fee for a medical assessment and ketamine prescription. Meals are included, but transportation and lodging are not.
AS: Over the course of a three-day off-site in the Mission, in a beautiful, open space with a tall ceiling, clients have two ketamine experiences. When you walk in, all of these BackJack floor chairs are in a circle. In the center are candles. We put a rose on every seat, and information about what to expect.
SS: The vibes are witchy.
The first day is about settling into that radical acceptance, welcoming what’s coming to us on ketamine. Our opening ceremony could include movement, dancing, getting into the body, or we might just talk to each other about what’s alive for us. We have an intention-setting session.
We check with everybody to see if we have their consent, from every part of their body, to receive medicine. Then our medical doctor and registered nurse distribute the medicine through a shot—it’s all intramuscular.
If it’s your first time using ketamine and you’re nervous about it, thank God! That’s the way it should be. But there’s also the option to not do ketamine at all: You thought you wanted to do it, and then when push comes to shove, you’re on your journey mat and you’re just like, “I really don’t want to do it.”
Ketamine and psychedelics are not a panacea. We know that it’s not for everyone. You don’t have to push yourself to do this new, innovative, cutting-edge type of therapy. Yes, there is great promise, and the data over and over again makes this area very frothy and enthusiastic. But it’s perfectly OK if you’re scared and anxious. Just listen to your body and heart.
AS: When we transition into the journey, we pull the BackJacks out.
SS: It’s pretty sweet. They have little nests, little beds. They’re all tucked in. They have blankets and pillows, and earplugs if the ambient music playing on the speakers gets too loud. They’re wearing eye masks, because ketamine is more of a dissociative medicine—there is this sense of naturally going inward and being quiet. There are a bunch of stuffed animals there that some people take for their journey.
AS: There’s this huge teddy bear holding a cup of the intramuscular ketamine.
We encourage clients to bring things that are meaningful for them—like a journal, photos of loved ones, loved ones that have passed, rocks. It’s just really loving, grounding, and open.
SS:  It’s like an executive-coaching psychedelic slumber party.
On the first day we do a psycholytic dose of ketamine. It’s not exactly a psychedelic dose, but it lets you kind of just teeter onto the realms. The next day is a mid-dose. That day is all about medicine and integration, and there’s coaching around it.
AS: Four of us facilitate the off-sites. While people are on their ketamine journey, we’re all very attentive. We’re in silent communication with each other. Collectively, we’re really holding this space, seeing what emerges. I mean, we’ve seen over 100 ketamine journeys at this point.
SS: In a supportive clinical setting, the chance of having a bad trip is severely diminished. Also, I hold the faith that there’s no such thing as a bad trip. Rather, there are challenging or uncomfortable journeys.
Let’s say someone’s trauma comes through. One way that could show up is you are screaming, or a lot of energy is just ripping through your body. You’ll get off your mat and you’ll just want to run. You’ll think you’re in a dangerous situation. The first thing we do is make sure you’re in a safe hold so that you feel cared for. We’ll let you take your eye mask off. Some people need a handhold or would like to be walked around the room. All these things help bring you back to now.
The third day is all integration and coaching: “What does this mean for me? How did I feel? And how do I bring something positive from that journey into my everyday life?”
AS: And about a week and a half after, we have a follow-up virtual integration session, focused on the application of what they’ve learned to their leadership.
SS:  One person came in not being able to feel their body. “I’m just a head, and this is my meat sack,” basically is what they said. After the off-site, they were able to pinpoint, “Actually, I feel like I can feel my chest. I can go to other places inside my body and be connected to it.”
AS: People are floating away at the end. They’re like, “I don’t want this to end. Can I integrate this way of being into my life?”

Collar laws
"the collar turns an unpredictable subject into a data‑rich, safely restrained source of testimony—without the bruises, broken wrists, or civil‑rights challenges that handcuffs and arm‑bars invite. Use the tech; keep the process clean."
Tumblr media
Why keep the collar on during interviews?
AV4I5: Three key advantages:
Silent‑Gate: Switch the collar to Blue‑Interview preset and the laryngeal filters drop ambient volume to 50 dB while allowing normal‑tone speech. You get a calm suspect who physically can’t ramp to shouting or spit abuse at you or the recorder.
Stress Telemetry: The Bio‑Vitals array overlays real‑time stress curves in your HUD. Micro‑tremor in the sternocleidomastoid, pulse variability—tells you when a question lands hot before you hear the lie.
Postural Guide: The collar’s micro‑servos nudge posture toward upright, open‑shoulder alignment; that keeps airways clear and prevents the classic “slouch and mumble” dodge. Interview audio stays clean for evidentiary playback.
SX12B: So it’s a built‑in polygraph and posture coach. Legal likes that?
AV4I5: Legal loves anything that shrinks “coercion” complaints. The collar maintains constant biometric logging—every muscle micro‑spasm time‑stamped. Defence counsel can request the packet; if we kept force at Compliance‑Safe, the data works in our favour.
Tumblr media
ZQ77C: What’s the statutory backing? I mean—neck restraint in an interview room sounds headline‑ugly.
AV4I5: Two pillars:
Republic Security Act § 74‑J (“Non‑Lethal Custodial Aids”) grants Enforcer units the right to apply biometric control devices post‑arrest for “situational safety and evidentiary clarity.”
High Court ruling RSC v. Armitage, 08‑12‑18, which held that the collar is functionally analogous to handcuffs plus medical telemetry— therefore not a “novel search.”
Key clause: so long as the subject retains the ability to breathe, answer questions, and request counsel, the restraint is constitutional.
Internal policy OPS‑9.2 requires a Comms Recording Notification: you must state on tape, “Interview conducted under Compliance‑Safe collar control, serial X‑‑‑.” Once you say that, chain‑of‑custody is airtight.
Republic Security Code §31‑B & §31‑C (Custodial Technology)
31‑B, Sub‑para 4 authorises “adaptive restraint devices” for any detainee classified Risk Tier C or higher, provided the device logs biometric data and all activation events.
31‑C, Sub‑para 2 permits “real‑time physiological monitoring for the dual purpose of detainee safety and investigative integrity.”
Collar firmware is certified under Forensic Chain‑of‑Custody Standard FSC‑12: every mode change, impulse, or dampening adjustment is time‑stamped and cryptographically signed—admissible as evidence and immune to tamper challenges.
Judicial Precedent
State v. Marentis (RSC‑App. 608‑24) upheld collar‑logged stress spikes as corroborating evidence of conscious deception.
People v. Rhodan (608‑67) ruled that a brief bio‑vitals clamp to prevent self‑harm during interrogation was “medically prudent and constitutionally proportional.”
UK90F: Any interview‑only tricks we should know?
AV4I5:
Pulse Settle: Tap Vitals → CalmBurst. Collar emits a 400 Hz vibro‑pulse at C‑2 vertebra; average BPM drops ~12 in ten seconds. Handy before the “tell‑me‑again” loop.
Cheat Lock: If subject tries a table flip, accelerate to Red‑Stun‑Hold—800 ms, enough to freeze them mid‑lunge without cracking skulls. De‑escalate back to Blue once they’re seated. The log shows a justified spike, court nods.
Whisper Gate: Drop the voice gate to 25 dB; suspect can barely whisper, recorder still hears everything via collar mic. Keeps adjoining rooms blissfully ignorant.
SX12B: What about overreach? Any hard “don’ts”?
AV4I5: Absolutely. Policy flags:
No Respiratory Clamp longer than 2 s in interview setting.
No Neuromotor Inversion—that technique’s still restricted to Crowd‑Control Cert.
Remove or power‑down the unit immediately if counsel requests a private consultation; attorney‑client privilege overrides telemetry.
"Break those and OPS‑Internal Affairs will fry your career medium‑rare."

showtime precure!
🎀: @baileypie-writes @harufallinwonderland
chapter 11: audition day! We're Showtime Precure!
Tumblr media
"Alright girls, today we're gonna be preparing to do tech interviews and auditions. Lyna, I need you to go and make copies of the monologues alright?" Reel handed her a piece of paper. "I need around 30 copies or so got it?"
"Right!" Lyna ran out of the classroom.
"Violet, you're coming with Lucia to help with auditions right?"
"Mhm! We're ready, right Lucia?"
Lucia looked up in surprise, "Huh? Oh- yeah."
"Are you sure you slept well last night Lucia?" Violet looked at her with concern.
"Oh yeah don't worry!" She shrugged.
"Ok and Amber you're in charge of tech interviews with me and Lyna ok?"
"Kay," Amber put her notebook in her bag.
"Alright I'm back!" Lyna rushed into the room with a stack of papers in her hands that she gave to Violet.
"Alright let's get going the final bells about to ring."
Tumblr media
Classes had already ended, so everyone auditioning or doing interviews were already waiting in the audotorium.
"Alright everyone! If you're here for interviews please follow me, Lyna, and Amber!" Most of the crowd followed suit.
"Huh. Guess they don't wanna act.."
"I mean to be fair Vi, a lot of people have stage fright yknow?" Lucia shrugged.
"Yeah I guess you're right.." She looked up at the stage where most of the people auditioning for acting roles were, "Alright, please grab a monologue from the stage! We'll give you half an hour to prepare and then we'll call your name when we're ready for you!" Her cheerful voice echoed throughout the auditorium as they left to prepare.
Violet grabbed Lucia by the collar, "Woah wait!"
"Lucia! Did you see that 4th year girl with the ringlets up there?!"
"Y-yeah why?"
"That's Serena Beauport, my greatest enemy EVER."
"H-huh?"
"She's like the kryptonite to my superman, the joker to my batman, the dance coach to my Reel!"
"W-why??" Lucia was still being shaken around violently as Violet ranted to her.
"She thinks she's SOOOOOOO great just because she's an upperclassman, and she's mad at ME because I'm a freshman and I got a better role in the ballet than her!"
"Why is this important to the play though?!" She pushed Violet off.
"Because, if she gets into the play she'll rub it in my face forever!"
"Why would she do that?!"
"Because since we're in charge of casting, if I give her a role she'll think I'm admitting she's better than me!"
Tumblr media
"Phew! and that's interviews all done! That was easy!" Reel said as he and the other two walked out of the workshop. The sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day out, so they decided to take a walk for a bit.
"I wonder how the others are doing-"
"HONK!"
Nosferatu looked up at them.
"Oh shit it's that goose Dominique stole."
"HONK!" Nosferatu ran off.
"I feel like he just said something not very nice in goose."
"I feel like we should check on Violet and Lucia."
Tumblr media
"Alright um, first up is Serena Beauport!" Lucia yelled. Violet rolled her eyes.
Serena waltzed gracefully up to the stage, you could feel the snobbiness all the way from the house to be honest.
"My name is Serena Beauport and I'll be reading for the part of-"
"HONK!"
The auditorium doors burst open, with Nosferatu running at Serena and- stealing her wish coin?? Can he even do that??
"Honk Honk! Hooooonk!" He grabbed the coin in his beak and it turned a stage light into a facade.
"SAWWWWWW!" The facade lunged at Lucia, who jumped away just in the nick of time.
"Lucia! Violet!" They turned to see Reel, Amber, and Lyna.
"Let's go!"
"Precure, Rollback! Lights! Camera! Action!"
"The star of the show, Cure Showtime!"
"The pride of the show, Cure Set!"
"The heart of the show, Cure Wright!"
"The diva of the show, Cure Action!"
"From opening to closing night, we'll make you say bravo!"
"Showtime! Precure!"
"We ate that up wait!" Action giggled.
"Action look out!" Action dodged the punch the facade threw at her, per Set's warning.
"Hey watch it!" Action kicked it in the face, sending it flying towards Serena's unconscious body.
"Ha!" Showtime stopped it before it could hit her.
"Did we have to save her?" Action groaned.
"Yes! We're not gonna let someone die because of a petty rivalry Action!"
"SAWWW!" the Facade shot a bright light into the room blinding everyone and leaving them dizzy.
"This is why I hate acting...." Action tripped, and shook her head to snap herself out of it.
"Precure! Action Grande....Jete!" The facade was eradicated, and the coin was returned to Serena.
"HONK!" Nosferatu ran out of the audotorium in a panic.
"Damn goose.." Reel sighed.
Tumblr media
"Alright the audtion results are finally up!" Lucia heard a girl cheer as a crowd gathered around the paper. Some girls cheered while others sighed in disappointment. Serena stood there looking unamused.
"This is ridiculous! I demand a recount!" she stomped her foot in anger.
"There are no recounts in play auditions ma'am.." Lucia looked at the poster and nearly screamed when she saw the lead role. Right there written in red ink read:
AUDITION RESULTS QUILL: ******** PARCHMENT: ******* POET: LUCIA AGISSANTE
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"

yall can say whatever you want
but Chennedy Carter calling Caitlin a little bitch, getting away with what should have been a tech and celebrating it. (She got cait an extra free throw which is one of the reasons they won the game) Then going for a press interview and having to have her coach save her from Caitlin Clark questions is actually crazy to me. I mean you over here saying you didn't say anything when the video clearly shows her cussing Caitlin out and shove her to the ground. This is actually fucking crazy

HTDIO x H*R quotes, part 3
[Context for newbies: How to Dance in Ohio. Homestar Runner. Author is an autistic elder millennial who was in the original Broadway cast of the former, and is a regular degular superfan of the latter. Tumblr is for niche content.]
Jessica: Isn’t that like going to the prom with your dad? Marideth: And we’ve all been there, right gals?
Drew: Drew, did you make the best omelet ever during the commercial break? I sure did.
[answering the phone at Paws & Claws, too nervous to comprehend they’re using the wrong social script] Mel: Ma’am. Please calm down. Your CD tray is not a cupholder. I cannot help you clear your browser cache. No, I’m not in India.
[trying to find new places he might like to eat in Michigan] Drew: Pizza belongs in a triangle.
[after being grounded for crashing his brother’s truck] Tommy: Sitting on the couch is zero amounts of fun when there’s not a TV or hang-glider in front of it.
[asking Reddit for tech advice after content mysteriously disappeared from their phone] Remy: Back up my files? Are you kidding? Is that…a real thing that you have to do? I always thought that was like, y’know, a figure of speech.
[after the interview, re: Rick Jenkins] Ashley: Ugh, I feel like I need a chemical shower after talking to that guy. Do we have an emergency eyewash station?
[coaching Jessica on asking Tommy out] Caroline: We’re on a collision course with sultriness.
Marideth: [vocal stimming] TER-ti-A-ry.
Amy: Mommy’s got a grown-up headache, Drewby. Why don’t you take the boat out for a while?
Jessica: Ooh, my husky head commands a pretty penny. This’ll bring home a few months’ worth of bacon.
Tommy: Now, it is my intention to sit down and play video games for several hours.
[“Reincarnation,” but Mel is high] Ashley: No job, no apartment, no college degree—please God, in my next life, can I be someone other than me? Mel: You gots to look inside yourself. Positate the negative. When life throws pies at you, you make yourself a tall, cool glass of piemonade.
[having an anxiety attack while unable to get in touch with Jessica] Caroline: You can’t be dead! You’re my best friend and concubine! Oh, I should really look up what that word meeeeeans!
[trying to explain his midlife crisis logic to his own therapist] Dr. Amigo: No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. It’s like this: The ransom money becomes the new retirement money. And the retirement money becomes the new college fund. And the college fund…eh, we blow on a really tricked-out van.

The Role of Online Mock Interviews in Comprehensive Interview Preparation
Tumblr media
In today’s competitive job market, excelling in an interview is crucial to securing a desired position. While technical skills and academic qualifications play a significant role, the ability to communicate effectively, handle pressure, and present oneself professionally is equally important. One of the most effective ways to enhance interview performance is through online interview practice, which has emerged as a valuable tool in online interview preparation. With the rise of AI mock interview platforms, candidates now have access to advanced tools that simulate real interview scenarios and provide personalized feedback.
What Are Online Mock Interviews? Online mock interviews simulate real interview scenarios, conducted through video conferencing platforms or AI-based tools. These mock interview online sessions are designed to replicate actual interview conditions, allowing candidates to experience the process firsthand. They may be conducted by industry professionals, HR experts, career coaches, or automated AI systems that assess performance based on predefined criteria. Many interview preparation websites offer structured mock interview practice sessions to help candidates refine their approach and boost confidence.
Benefits of Online Mock Interviews
Realistic Interview Experience Online mock interviews provide a realistic simulation of actual interview conditions. They help candidates become familiar with the format, question types, and the overall experience of facing an interviewer virtually. This reduces anxiety and builds confidence, making the candidate more comfortable during real interviews.
Instant Feedback and Performance Analysis One of the key advantages of mock interview online sessions is the immediate feedback provided by mentors or AI tools. Candidates receive constructive criticism on their responses, body language, tone, and overall presentation. This feedback helps identify strengths and areas for improvement, allowing candidates to refine their approach before the actual interview.
Enhancing Communication Skills Effective communication is a vital component of a successful interview. Online interview practice helps candidates articulate their thoughts clearly, improving their verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Practicing with AI interview questions also allows individuals to work on their pacing, pronunciation, and confidence while speaking.
Customized and Industry-Specific Training AI mock interview platforms and expert-led mock sessions can be tailored to specific industries, job roles, or company expectations. Whether applying for a tech job, a management position, or a creative role, mock interviews help candidates prepare for AI interview questions that are relevant to their field. This targeted practice ensures they are well-equipped to handle job-specific challenges.
Time and Cost Efficiency Unlike in-person mock interviews, online sessions eliminate the need for travel and save both time and money. Candidates can schedule mock interview practice sessions at their convenience and practice multiple times, making it a flexible and cost-effective method of online interview preparation.
Adaptability to Virtual Interview Trends With remote work becoming more prevalent, many companies now conduct virtual interviews. Mock interview online platforms prepare candidates for such settings, ensuring they are comfortable with technology, camera positioning, lighting, and internet connectivity. This minimizes the chances of technical issues affecting their performance.
How to Make the Most of Online Mock Interviews
Choose a Reliable Platform – Opt for a credible interview preparation website that provides expert feedback and a structured approach.
Simulate a Real Interview Environment – Dress professionally, sit in a quiet space, and ensure proper lighting and internet connectivity.
Record and Review – Reviewing recorded online interview practice sessions helps candidates analyze their strengths and work on areas needing improvement.
Practice Common and Technical Questions – Focus on commonly asked interview questions along with AI interview questions to build a well-rounded preparation strategy.
Work on Body Language and Confidence – Maintain eye contact, use appropriate gestures, and practice speaking with clarity and confidence.inter
Conclusion
Online mock interviews are an indispensable part of online interview preparation. They provide candidates with a structured, real-time practice environment that enhances confidence, communication skills, and overall performance. With the growing reliance on virtual hiring processes, leveraging mock interview practice sessions can significantly improve one’s chances of success in securing a desired job opportunity. By actively participating in these sessions, refining responses based on feedback, and adapting to evolving interview trends, candidates can position themselves as strong contenders in today’s competitive job market. Platforms offering AI mock interview tools and expert guidance make mock interview online sessions a powerful resource for job seekers aiming to excel in their careers.
