Can Technology Change Teachers?
Tumblr media
Do you have questions about the nature of teachers and the growth of technology in education? If so, you may be on the lookout for answers to many of your questions about how teachers will change with changes in technology. The years ahead will see many changes in our society as much as the economy and people are going to be more mobile as they age. This is a good thing, but it also has the potential to bring some important changes to our communities. First, let's look at the question of whether we will have more teachers as teachers and students can now become teachers while still at school. The future of schooling will look different than what it does today. As students take in more information from the internet, there will be less time spent in traditional classrooms where children interact with an individual teacher. Although it sounds dramatic, this change is actually a positive change. Teaching will become more interactive with a flexible teaching method that allows students to complete their assignments in a given amount of time. We will see fewer teachers as the number of students increase, but their role will remain the same and they will still work with each student in an individual way to help them learn. Next, let's look at the question of whether technology will lead to more changes in the structure of the teaching profession. There are some theories that teachers will change into more of a support role for students by answering emails and even sending them text messages when they have a question. What I find most interesting is that technology can actually bring many great things to both teachers and students. For teachers, there will be the ability to ask questions or search for information while they are out of the classroom. This gives teachers a lot more flexibility to reach out to students who might not be able to see them in the classroom. Students will also benefit as their schedule allows them to take advantage of the full internet at home and in the class. Some schools even allow students to have laptops while they attend classes. This will allow students to reach their study materials anywhere while in the same place as their teacher. By addressing all of these points, there is no doubt that we will see a great deal of change as we see the rise of the internet as a medium for communication and teaching. Technology is about making things easier for everyone. Not only for teachers but for students as well. Will society benefit? I think that it will, but the changes won't happen overnight. Because of this, it will take time for the internet to become a part of the future of education. For the first time, teachers will be able to use electronic tools while they teach students. Technology will also provide a wealth of information for students to take advantage of. There will be many teachers who will embrace this trend and many students will use these useful digital devices to find their way around the internet and learn how to navigate the virtual world. I think we will see a very positive social revolution over the next few years. Teachers will be excited about the changes that are coming. They will welcome this change for both their own students and for society as a whole.
Will Technology Change Teachers?
Tumblr media
Will technology change teachers? In the next decade, the world will see the "cybernation" of a whole new generation of teachers. The better teachers of tomorrow will not be in the classroom but in the lab, in the field, and, perhaps, even out on the go. Will cybernation in the schools result in teaching without the teacher, or without a teacher for that matter? We are at the beginning of the era of information. In a millennium from now, our children will be an army of future humans. At present they are like an army of insects or a herd of cattle: they provide the same kind of services - eat, live, reproduce, defecate, and defend - and their requirements have been increasing continuously. The initial demand for human resources will be related to the future needs of the individual, and education is no exception. In every generation there are individuals who want to go to college, or medical school, and there are others who are going to be teachers. And, of course, there are those who will be programmers and engineers. It is only the growing demand for these people that drives the education profession today. Some other basic concepts: there will be many jobs that will need computers and even more will need to be connected with the Internet. Will they be teachers in the traditional sense of teaching students, or will they be all-round "techies" who help clients make use of their new "techy" skills? In either case, it seems clear that in the future, the jobs will demand for the skill set. Why should this be so? Imagine a classroom of students with a computer, and all the students being connected to a computer through the Internet - all working in their own rooms. The computerized environment is likely to create certain advantages. The first advantage is that students can study from anywhere they are - when it's dark, or when it's raining, or when they are out of the classroom during break times. They can save papers on the hard drive. They can consult with other students around the country or even across the globe. All this allows them to interact better with each other. The students can watch a movie on their computer and then study it again. They can work collaboratively to solve problems, get feedback, and use their new skills to develop the project. It is clear that students will be able to learn quickly in this manner. And, given the growing number of computer courses in this period, this advantage will be important. Students will be able to combine this type of environment with face-to-face time. All this makes it clear that, not only will computers replace teachers in some ways but they will replace teachers in many ways. Will cybernation in the classroom result in teaching without the teacher, or without a teacher for that matter? This is a question that could not be answered by simply reading the examples above. They are only explanations. They do not deal with the question of whether teaching will be possible at all. The introduction of technology to education is part of a major transformation that will have many positive consequences. Will teachers adapt to this changing environment or will they remain an island of technology?

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
Tumblr media
“Don’t say anything online that you wouldn’t want plastered on a billboard with your face”- Erin Bury
Technology opens the door to the world, it’s up to us to walk through it in a meaningful and respectful way. There are parcels of dodgy individuals, places and offers online. It’s regularly difficult to ‘read’ emotion in posts and emails, and jokes can effectively be confused. Being a mindful advanced citizen implies having the online social abilities to take part in online community life in a moral or in an ethical and conscious way. Respect for yourself and other individuals is vital in all connections, and it’s no distinctive when you’re online. Work to improve digital literacy by learning and teaching others about the availability and uses of new technology. Digital rights and responsibilities help to shape and ensure the freedoms that everyone should be able to enjoy online. Note that rights come with responsibilities. Take precautions with your technological equipment and online behavior to protect yourself as well as the material you share online. Be especially cautious with information associated with your identity. Though you may not picture sitting at a computer as dangerous or unhealthy, your health and wellness are effected by your digital lifestyle. Be aware of the physical and psychological effects of operating in a digital world. Protect yourself from these dangers, and encourage others to stay aware as well. The importance of knowing digital citizenship is a topic, a very important topic, and implementing some kind of curriculum that gives students the opportunity to become digitally informed citizens is a must. Anyone can be a digital citizen but it is your choice to become a responsible digital citizen.

Can Technology End Teachers?
Tumblr media
What do you think when you hear the term "teachers"technology?" There is a lot of reasons for which technology and teachers should be considered equal, in the long run. Perhaps more importantly, I think that technology will prevent teachers from learning and teaching. In this respect, teachers are already "sold out" to the large corporations, but this just goes to show that this idea is very important. Rather than a potential threat, we could be in the very least, excited about the innovations and changes coming with technology. Just think of what the world would look like if everyone could operate a computer or use the Internet. Already, hundreds of companies offering tuition in technology will offer tuition in English and other subjects, using interactive web based learning as a way to expand their business. Some of these companies have been around for many years. The question is whether they are part of the new breed of teachers or whether they will simply be another form of opportunistic salespeople. Many people work on computers and some work with the Internet. These two technologies can come together to create amazing new systems and some teaching tools can be created to work with both of these things. There may also be innovation that allow one to go beyond one's comfort zone, and teach concepts in a totally different way than you might have done before. Past technologies have made life easier for many people. Perhaps it will be as simple as bringing your laptop with you everywhere and teaching and recording classroom sessions using the same software. This will help everyone learn more quickly. Many people need help with the basics and understanding of how technology works. If you teach, you will also need to take the time to explain to your students all of the many ways they can learn about the world of technology. Many more future applications and exciting developments will be coming with the use of the Internet and laptops, but this is just one factor. Do you think these technologies will be able to replace teachers? Some educators say that is not necessary, and that more interaction will happen via videos, and presentations. The skills you learn in the classroom will help you in the workforce as well, and the rest of your life. The human race will find out just how much humanity can benefit from technology, especially as a tool to help solve the problems of the world. In the near future, many jobs will be available online, and some teachers will no longer need to travel to teach. As the use of technology increases, the number of education schools will increase, and many traditional schools will need to rethink their curriculum. Will this mean that many old teachers get laid off, or do some children even have to move to another school? At some point, some old teachers will likely need to retire and there won't be many jobs available to them. With technology, students will no longer have to be taught the basics of the fundamentals of mathematics, for example, or the elements of geography, as these can be learned at home. Some parents may feel that it is better to teach at home, but teachers are already teaching to a certain standard.
Will Technology End Teachers?
Is it inevitable that teachers will no longer be needed in schools and in the public arena? That was one of the big questions asked by a group of educators who are spearheading an effort to find out. A number of state-based groups have formed and have met in person, at times, in order to discuss their concern, in regard to a "Future Without Teachers." What are their concerns? What kind of impact does this might have on job security? In the article that follows, I will give some thoughts about what is happening and how we are dealing with the situation. I will also discuss why I think there will be little change, if any at all, in the near future. The positive part about this is that a few are standing up for something, and that they are willing to take on the attack from those who oppose the change. It is sad to see them go, but they did what they had to do. Maybe they will continue to do so as the debate continues. Perhaps you will agree with me that teaching in the United States is not at risk, in the near future. Indeed, teacher wages are likely to remain fairly high, over the next decade. Will our children be better off, or will we sacrifice our children? Of course, I am afraid that this question does not have an easy answer. But we can easily compare the educational system in other countries with ours. Indeed, I hope we will look at what the world does, and then put that into consideration when thinking about this. In fact, there are many countries in the world where different schools exist for the rich and poor. There are also single-sex schools. Some of these schools are given special grants, and others are self-funded.The difference in school quality between these two is huge. Some of these single-sex schools are more "preferable" than others. The children who attend these are treated better, by those who educate them, and the kids who are in these schools live in a better environment. In the United States, we give our children multiple choices, through a variety of educational opportunities. We have multi-racial, multi-gender, single-sex, co-ed, private and public, and even charter schools. These options help our children to build self-esteem and self-confidence. So what if we were to eliminate some of the teaching opportunities, some of the schools, and take away some of the choices of a child's life. Well, it would not be a good idea. We would lose children, and our society would suffer. So, it seems that there are several reasons for teachers and education researchers to continue the research efforts and to try to figure out just what the future holds. Perhaps we will find out, in the next few years, but one thing is for sure - one thing is certain: teachers will still be needed, and teaching will always be an important career.

Can Technology Replace Teachers?
Tumblr media
Is technology replacing teachers in the classroom? If you look at what is happening in the classroom, it is certainly possible. Most of the new ways to do things have been invented for people to use them. That is the key. If we can replace them, that will probably be a good thing. Teachers, print books, students on the Internet, and computer games are all examples of new things that have come into our lives over the past few years. Most of them have been put in place for the betterment of all. This has many parents concerned about their children being left behind as our children have begun using technology. Is this really such a bad thing? While there has been some concern over what has happened to education over the past few years, most people want more than what they have. Many parents want the best education possible for their children. And, they would like to see their children have the best education possible, regardless of what it costs. Kids who are being educated in a safe environment are the ones who are successful. So, we can understand why parents are so concerned. Parents also want to see that their children are being properly educated. They don't want to see their kids having a bad education, no matter how much money is spent on that education. Many parents feel that the least they can do is to have their kids get an education, so that they can stay out of poverty. While there is a lot of free government programs available, these programs are not always the best for the children. If the parents are paying for it, it doesn't matter if they are the best programs or not. That means they will be used up. That is one of the main reasons why most parents are now talking about getting their children into a private school. These schools can help provide the children with a good education that will be based on what is best for the child, rather than on what the government has decided is best for the child. Of course, if your child does not have enough money to go to a private school, then they could go to public grade schools. But, if your child is going to be in a special education class, then they should probably go to a private school. With this information, parents are finally getting the right approach to educating their children. They know that to have the best education possible, they need to use the best available resources, and they need to be concerned about the well being of their children.
Will Technology Replace Teachers?
Tumblr media
Will Technology Replaces Teachers? When we think of the development of new technologies and discoveries in fields such as medicine, transportation, energy, materials science, and many others, one idea comes to mind which is not too far off from reality. It is quite possible that someday in the near future, computers will be used to teach children. How soon is too soon? Technology is taking on more forms. More people today are using the Internet to communicate with their friends and family while being able to do business over the Internet. Consider all the potentials, and we are only beginning to scratch the surface of what is available. The fact is that we need to look into the future to find out how this change could affect our current teacher. Not only in education but also in jobs in other areas. In many ways, we could see a scenario where your child does not have to wait until their college years to get a job or they don't have to wait until they are in their mid-forties to get a job. Instead, they could be employed in the very near future. Although it seems absurd, we are already seeing examples of this in education. For example, in New Zealand, computers are being used in classrooms to teach math and science. In addition, they are being used to allow students to take part in fun activities that would not otherwise be available. For example, they will not need to spend money for a computer and Internet connection just to play a certain game online. Other instances include television monitors being used in schools to educate students in how to apply math and science concepts. Of course, there are no computers involved at all. Instead, computers can do all the work and give you the information as well. They have even been seen using technology to record audio lessons and taking them onlineto offer students instant feedback. This is really happening and soon it will be in every classroom. Will Technology Replaces Teachers? Well, if we continue to use these innovations to benefit us all, we may eventually be back to the point where the use of teachers in society is important. Yes, we are all working smarter and playing harder than ever before, but that is not good enough. Our children need more guidance and more new forms of learning that will teach them to think for themselves and to solve problems. What kind of future do we want for our children? If you are looking forward to a future education system that teaches children how to think and solve problems, then you can take comfort in the fact that computers will help create that system. Imagine having computers in every classroom and having the ability to operate and train these computers at all times. This will allow them to interact with students more than any classroom teacher ever could. Technology has definitely advanced and will continue to do so. Where the technology really evolves to is something that cannot be predicted. Just in the last few years, computers have become more interactive and teachers have become more flexible and responsive to their students. We also see this trend continuing in the next several years with larger and more technologically advanced technology being used to help improve our education systems. Teachers and parents can take some comfort in knowing that as technology evolves, so will their jobs. It is amazing how quickly the future education system will change. As our ability to use technology continues to improve, so will the education system itself. That is the way things are going to be, and that is just how it is.

Can Technology Save Teachers?
Tumblr media
There is a need for innovation and software solutions in the teaching profession. Is this what we need? I think we do. Think about it - We need software solutions to improve the teaching profession, right? If we didn't, we wouldn't need so many teachers and we could save them, wouldn't we? Think about it! Technology can be of great benefit to teachers as well as their students, but does it make sense to hire people who are not knowledgeable of the latest software solutions? I think it does. Especially when we are dealing with basic curriculum, there are many, many things that are now within reach. That includes online resources and E-mail. Schoolroom teachers today have to deal with many different elements, some of which may be outside their skill set. They now have access to the best of all of the world's resources on any topic you can imagine. There are tutorials and internet sites to get a better education and also to help improve the student's ability to use technology and learn the basics. Why don't we make it easy for all classroom teachers to learn about software solutions to improve their teaching? I think it would help everyone, as would a program like Virtual Worlds, which works with various software solutions to connect individuals to the teachers in the school. This is a one stop shop for education. A software solution could help streamline and expand the classroom experience. For example, students could choose a project from the list of activities. A teacher can provide suggestions and students would work together to complete the task. With the latest technologies such as the Arduino and Redwood Shield, a teacher could give out instructions on how to use a certain product or to includea specific programming language. Educators have always been advocates of hands on instruction, but you need to remember the original purpose of a teacher. He was hired to help people make decisions, develop skills, be self-motivated and most of all, to be the change agent. How can technology save teachers? We need to find ways to connect everyone in the school and get them to make the most of what technology is available. We need to make teachers and students more connected so that what was once taught as fact or theory now applies to all students. Software solutions can make a teacher more successful and equipped to coach the younger generation. Some software solutions to build collaborative learning environments could include a virtual conference room where teachers and students can meet, work and interact on projects. We need to empower our classroom teacher with a better way to teach, communicate. Where does the teacher stand with today's technology? These days, you can find virtually any course, activity or even job or career in the world. People want to learn from anywhere, anytime and teachers have no excuses to cut class time. Technology can help both teachers and students develop a better understanding of technology as it relates to their lives.
Will Technology Save Teachers?
In today's world, it seems like it is becoming increasingly difficult to imagine teachers being able to perform their jobs. We see more videos and learning materials that just do not give enough opportunity for a teacher to actually make a difference in the lives of students. These tools are nice, but really can't do what we need them to do. Teaching is not about showing your students something. The purpose of this job is to help them become better people, which is also very important. In fact, that's why most of us get into this field in the first place, to make a difference in people's lives. Education technology allows a teacher to get more out of the job than ever before. Technology is used to allow the teacher to interact with students in ways that were simply not possible in the past. By removing barriers between the classroom and the students, there are many simple things that can be done by a teacher that no one could do before. At the same time, technology is helping teachers get much more out of the classrooms that they have. Now the teacher can use it to do a lot more than just teach. For example, some websites offer lessons and curriculum that can help students without them needing a laptop or any online technology. The idea is to do things that are easy for them. Even using textbooks could be done on a tablet or smartphone. Students could even choose their own texts. Technology is helping students to learn by helping them with problems. This is another way that technology is helping teachers and students. Instead of spending a great deal of time asking students how to do something, technology is providing more tools that will let teachers do their jobs. The technology that teachers use is changing, too. Many classrooms now come equipped with new devices and software that allow students to interact with their teachers more easily. This gives teachers the opportunity to use a large variety of equipment, which is very helpful for an educator. Some of the things that are being done with technology will save teachers' jobs. When students are given a chance to participate in new ways, they will more often want to do what the teacher wants. With technology, the teacher can make his job more fun and less stressful. Students will want to do what the teacher wants them to do. They will want to be part of the learning process, not just being forced to sit in the back of the class. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved. The future educators who are graduating from our schools today can look forward to finding more opportunities to use technology in the classroom. As students get better at using these new technologies, they will be able to find more ways to help them in their life. As students use these new ways, the teachers will find themselves needing to use them more often, too. Technology will change education forever, which is why we all need to be ready to see and use it more often. We cannot afford to underestimate how much the future can change.
