I've started quilting my quilt and I thought it would be fun to approximately quilt in the shape of major roads (thanks yarrow for suggesting this in april) but now I want to quilt it more densely and feel locked into the road thing as 1) it is a sin to lie 2) as i am learning, Boston has an infinite number of roads

I will actually probably do leafs or vines or so on but wanted to share my road conundrum

DG bites his tongue and refrains from asking.

It's a stupid question anyway. Racked full of insecurity and especially surprising coming from someone from him.

Yet as your eyes rove over his new style, lingering a moment too long on his dark locks, the question spills forth-

"Don't you like it?"

Delivered on autopilot with a smirk, and his tone implies that of course you do. An age old mask of attitude and arrogance that transcends identities, enough to hide what truly lurks below. The inner workings of James Lee.

You reach up and ruffle his hair, swallowing down the thought that it might take you a while to get used to this, ignore that you're going to miss the shock of baby pink.

It's different, that's all.

Instead you respond by telling him to shut up.

All fondness and zero bite even as you roll your eyes. Your gaze no longer lingers on his hair though your touch does, letting the strands curl around your fingers.

And when his eyes meet yours again, you never bothered to answer his question but nevertheless-

DG feels a weight lifted from his shoulders.

In a corner of Algy's assistants' garden that was sheltered from the north, there rested an old garden bench which, though undeniably decorative owing to advancing decay and its rich coatings of lichens and rust, was no longer safe for human beings to sit upon.

Fluffy birds, however, who not only weigh a great deal less than humans, but are able to leap up into the air should their perch unfortunately happen to collapse beneath them, are able to rest upon it without concern.

So, when Algy noticed a rogue patch of sunshine illuminating the corner of this bench, he hopped up onto it and lay back contentedly against the rusty arm rest, for although the new day had brought some fine sunny intervals, there was also a roaring and bitterly cold wind blowing from the arctic regions of the world, and the dense evergreen shrubbery which screened this spot provided a great deal of protection.

And as he revelled in the adventitious spotlight, Algy realised that for the first time since the autumn, the sun also felt almost warm. Of course he knew that this happy state of affairs was sadly temporary, for a great cloud threatened to bring another shower of sleet and hail very soon, but it was so spring-like for the moment that although there was as yet no sign of the skylarks returning, and in fact the wind was anything but mild, Algy just couldn't help singing:

Status Update

I'm sorry I haven't been posting as often these days, I have really wanted to get back into the swing of things, but I have been realizing how overwhelmed I have been feeling with life. I've just haven't been wanting to admit to myself that I was overwhelmed.

I'm basically in a state of uncertainty in my life. I have no idea what I'm gonna do next year, if I'll succeed, if I'll do anything great at all. There are many things I could be doing to fix up my life and give me a sense of control, but they all feel so big, so numerous, so difficult. Having all these uncertainties and priorities have led me to become increasingly overwhelmed.

I ended up trying really hard to focus only on school, to give myself even an ounce of a sense of control, and neglected other activities, which included my art. But I still got distracted anyway. I felt ashamed that I was unable to control my every action, and so I fell into a burned-out slump, which only made me feel even less in control. (It's also the end of the school-year, I'm dragging myself to the finish-line)

I just want to reassure you that I'm still here, and still alive. I definitely will keep creating for this platform, and I definitely want to continue writing and drawing Godbox AU! I just wanted to let you guys know that due to the status of my headspace, I might not post at often as I used to. I don't want to set your expectations too high.

Sorry if this got deep!

Please don't worry about me. I just have some things to work out. My best hope is for the summer to come and give me time to really enjoy doing art once more. Thank you for continuing to tune in!

the fact that the archheart took selena because he loved her and wanted to give her peace, and in the process left her suspended in an eternal static torment because he doesn't understand how something as fragile as a mortal soul works feels like a summary of the good intentions/bad long term outcome situation with godly soul custody. it makes sense that the gods would end up keeping some of their special followers! the first mortals to get in tight with the gods probably asked for it! the ego death of proper reincarnation is terrifying compared to staying up late hanging out with your buddy pelor. asmodeus and the hells aren't being half as kind about it yet the core motive remains—that hoarding instinct to keep what you love(or hate) and never let it go.

Hey, thank you (and others) who have come forward to let me know about this. The reality is that I can't do anything about it either, so I prefer not to be reminded. I will say that, of all the times my art has been reposted, this one did actually seem to drive some genuine engagement back to me & my comic download, so there's a silver lining! (I can't imagine the AI voice acting sounding good though...)

The best thing anyone can do if they find my art reposted, and which I really appreciate, is to report it and make sure I'm credited somewhere, because I don't have the energy to get them all myself. Please don't start fights, and please don't feel the need to defend or speak for me - just a simple reply explaining who the artist is and a link back to me goes a long way.

At the end of the day I know that when I post something to the Internet it's inevitable that it will get reposted, so I've made my peace with it. But it's kind of a bummer to be reminded constantly, so I appreciate when people credit me in the replies of reposts that they see ♥♥♥
