I just remembered that sauron used to be a cat called tevildo in the earlier draft for the silmarilion (I think). And his chef was called miaule, Pronounced Meow-Lay.

Tevildo is horrified. "Unhand me at once y/n!" He cries. "And desist in this behaviour! I am no mere cat! I am the Prince of Cats! A mighty servant of the Dark Lord! I am master of my own domain! I..." he stops, closes his eyes. "Oh yes. The ears. Continue scratching the ears."

People of the Stars for the WIP ask game please!

Yaaasss. So, People of the Stars is my Silmarillion sci-fi AU! I am not sure if I will ever write it fully (maybe in bullet points?), but it is still really fun to think about!

The story primarily follows Maedhros, Glorfindel, Lúthien, and Eärendil as characters. The three main planets in the story are Valinor, Ennor (Middle Earth’s equivalent), and Earth. The Ainur, also called the Ayanūz, are interdimensional aliens originally from Valinor, and the Eldar are also aliens, living on Valinor and Ennor. There are humans from Earth in the story as well; Melkor and Sauron have already taken over Earth when the story begins. The Silmarils are crystals capable of warping space and time, so naturally, as in the original Silm, everyone wants them. The story is a space opera, following the plot of the Silm but filled with science fantasy silliness and drama.
