A smile appears on your face the second you feel a hand on your lower back, turning around to meet your husband's loving gaze.

He stands directly in front of you, staring down at you in a way that to this day makes you feel butterflies in your stomach, like you're nothing but a teenage girl who's unlucky enough to have developed a blinding crush on a guy too charming for his own good— the thought of it makes you feel almost nostalgic, looking back at the early stages of your relationship.

Coriolanus Snow has always been a familiar face. Growing up together, you two have known each other for ages. You might've interacted a few times, but nothing beyond brief conversations between classmates.

You had a boyfriend at the time. A much too sweet and caring guy that made the big mistake of falling irrevocably in love with you. In all fairness, it was hard for him not to trail behind you like a lost puppy all the time when you were so good at making foolish boys believe you were the girl of their dreams.

Love is not a word you would use to describe your relationship. He was tolerable and clearly obsessed with you, so it made sense for you to stay with him. He learned with time that buying you very expensive gifts would get you to pay more attention to him, so that became his way of showing his affection for you.

In his mind this was perfectly reasonable. His girl likes being spoiled, so that's exactly what he did. The adoration for you blinded him enough to ignore the truth: you're just sticking around for the money. Some people warned him you were bad news, but you always managed to find a way to make him worship you all over again. Maybe you could've felt sorry for him at some point...if only he didn't have such good taste to pick things out for you.

But then Coriolanus happened. You started to notice him more and more until you inevitably started having feelings for him. How could you not fall for a guy like him? Especially after he started his quick ascend as one of the best Game makers in history.

Maybe it was the way he so fervently claimed his interest in you, willing to pursue you even when your boyfriend was still in the picture. Or perhaps it had to do with his growing popularity and power. After all, you can't deny how attracted you are to guys with ambition.

And Coriolanus is not exactly sure what made him fall for you either. There's many things he loves about you, that's for sure, but he can't say which came first. Was it your captivating beauty and intelligence, or the news that you recently became the only heir to one of the wealthiest families in the Capitol?

Whatever force pulled the two of you together, it really doesn't matter at this point. What matters is that he loves you with every fiber of his being, willing to do whatever is in his power to make sure you're happy (and what isn't, he'll do anything to get). And you love him too, of course, offering him a companionship he always craved— undying fidelity, the purest honesty and understanding.

You've never once judged him for being who he is. If anything, you seem to admire his strength to do whatever it takes to secure his place in society. No one has ever been this loving and accepting, almost encouraging him to be as determined as ever to get the two of you on top.

Whatever he did or didn't do is already in the past. Why should the past matter? Shouldn't you enjoy the present with your loving and successful husband? Be proud of the work the two of you have done to get where you are?

No, the past is gone. It already happened. There’s no need to look back at things you can't change and decisions you can't take back. It all brought you here. Every tiny little decision led the two of you to this moment; married, in love, happy, powerful. It was meant to be like this.

He didn't seem to mind about your own past either. Any other person would've judged you for the difficult decisions you had to make in order to become the wealthiest woman in all of Panem. You've seen it in the face of ex friends and lovers. They never understood your hunger for what you so rightfully deserve.

Good things don't happen to people because they're good. They happen because you make them happen. You fight, you take, you conquer. It's what life is, and it's something you and Coriolanus understand perfectly. That's why the two of you make sense. Why it feels so right to be together. You understand him and he understands you— understands you like no one else has in your entire life.

It was him the one who held you that night when you just couldn't hold it in anymore, and he sat with you while you cried and cried about your beloved sister, because even after all those years you still missed her and wished things could've been different.

If only your parents made it easier for you. They shouldn't have played favorites from the moment you were born. And they really shouldn't mess with something as important as inheritance. It's your goddamn birthright! How could they be so cruel to you? If they corner you against the wall with no apparent way to escape, it was a matter of time before you decided to stand your ground.

It's a shame your poor sister had to suffer the consequences, though. You really do love her...

Coriolanus couldn't judge you even if he tried. He could see himself in your tear-filled eyes and hear his own inconsolable sobs through your voice. It took him back to a particularly difficult point in his life where he had to make a similar choice.

He pours his heart out to you as he holds you tight against his body, revealing all the unfortunate things he was forced to do because it's all that was left. An act-or-die situation that kept repeating itself until he had no other choice but to do the unspeakable. What else was he supposed to do? What else were you supposed to do?

The regret in his voice is evident, and you know he does regret it because he’s a good person with a heart of gold. One of the best people you’ve ever met in your life. He’s good, and brave, and passionate…enough to sacrifice what he loves if the circumstances require that of him. Not many people have the privilege to claim to be as great as him.

"You did what you had to," your voice came out in a soft whisper, still affected by your sudden outburst with the thought of your sister engraved deep inside your brain. At the time you thought you were trying to ease his conscience, but maybe your statement was falling from your lips in a weak attempt to ease your own inner conflict too. "Life has been so unfair to us, Coriolanus. Is it too bad that we want just a little bit of peace?"

He stays quiet for a bit, stroking your hair in hopes to bring you some comfort as he processes your hopeless, pain-filled statement. That's probably the hardest thing about loving you; caring so much that he cannot possibly function if he knows you're hurting, and cursing himself for not being able to take that pain away. 

"We'll have peace," he eventually assures you. His voice is soft, yet fiercely determined. There's no room for discussion. He'll make it happen for the two of you. What's a few more difficult choices when he's so far gone now? When he knows it has worked perfectly before and it made all his dreams come true?

In that moment, snuggled up to his chest with his arms tightly wrapped around you, it was clear. That sense of familiarity you only get when you look back in the mirror, or when you quickly scan a room when someone speaks your name. He has suffered as much as you. He knows what it's like to be mistreated in life, and how difficult it is sometimes to live with the fact that you had to leave people behind to finally taste a drop of happiness.

The guilt comes and goes. Sometimes it's easier to remember you had no choice, but other times all you can think about is what life could've been if you weren't forced to take such drastic measures. Perhaps now that you have someone who truly understands, you'll learn to always remember you deserve all you managed to achieve.

When you move back from him to look up into his welcoming and comforting blue eyes, you knew you'd never be alone again. You'll never get to experience this free-fall, soul-consuming feeling with anyone else. And why would you even want to waste your time like that, when you already found the one person who sees the world exactly like you do? 

A love like this is hard to find. Most people spend a lifetime trying to find a love decent enough to make them feel like they're losing their minds. Like the air is missing from their lungs and everything looks much darker when the other is not around. Like they're willing to do anything to make the other happy. Like the fear of being consumed entirely by it is the sweetest of fates.

You thought you could only experience affection in the form of luxurious jewelry, fancy clothing and all that came with the important status your ex boyfriend provided. At one point, you could say you almost needed him. Or least needed his money. He provided a safety net you desperately needed after your stupid parents decided to leave everything to your annoyingly perfect sister.

After becoming the only heir in your family (it really is a shame that your sister was gone so soon, poor thing), your boyfriend was no longer a necessity, but a way of distracting yourself when you needed it. It's not like you're going to refuse his gifts and attention anytime soon, right?

But that was it. The furthest it can get to what being in love should look like. And that was what your relationship with Coriolanus should have been when you decided to make your way into his heart. Never in a million years would you have expected to meet a soul that matches yours in even the tiniest of details, that loves so deeply and cares enough to act like it's required to survive. 

With his arms still surrounding your body in a protective and comforting manner, you knew he’d be the guy you’d spend the rest of your life with. You knew it long before the day he got down on one knee, professing his undying love for you and offering the most beautiful engagement ring you have ever seen in your life. You pledged to always be there for him and, in return, he vowed to give you the world— he'd find a way to reach the night sky and collect every single star for you if that's what you ask of him. You kept each other's deepest secrets like they were your own. Two smart and ambitious people joining together in their search for greatness.

The hand on your lower back now rests against your cheek, tracing your skin in such a delicate manner that it almost makes you shiver. The white rose attached to his impeccable burgundy suit is slightly tilted to the right, fixing it with your hands as soon as your eyes notice that detail.

He smiles wider after your gesture, leaning down to capture your lips in an affectionate kiss to show his gratitude. You wish the moment could last longer, but you know it's impossible to stay behind these walls for longer when there's a loud crowd out there chanting your husband's name.

There's the briefest of interactions when he breaks the kiss, the two of you standing in front of each other with a smile of pure conspiracy— a silent recognition of the work individually done to get here, an unspoken ‘thank you’ to one another for the team effort, and the promise of a never-ending companionship that would only take you higher.

He grabs your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours before finally stepping outside to the marble balcony. Before you, a sea of people cheer and welcome the new President and First Lady of Panem.

How would Poppy and Brozone react to Branch opera singing?

I'm assuming this is for the Classical Branch AU

I think context matters. If they're seeing him sing opera before the rescue happens I think they'd have a lot stronger shock reactions than say after the perfect family harmony where they'd watch him sing as supportive brothers.

Poppy either way I think she'd just be so caught up in being happy for him that I don't know if she'd mind the genre. Be it happy that he's not dead (if early on in meeting) or happy that he's actually singing and happy.

John Dory if before they resolve things, I think he'd get caught up on a million things before Branch even opened his mouth to sing. Either way I think he'd point out Branch's range and skill with his high notes. Opera is a craft that takes a lot of control as I've come to learn from an ex-opera singer Youtuber!

Bruce if before, I think he'd downplay how impressive it is, reacting more like a dad hearing a child bang a toy keyboard for a 'concert'. The praise he'd give feels a bit ingenuine. If after, I think he'd actually pay attention and enjoy it a lot!

Clay if before I think he'd struggle still with the whole 'Branch being better at being serious' thing. He can make MUSIC serious too??? Afterwards I think he'd become a HUGE fan of opera though, and ask Branch for recommendations. I think it'd be pretty funny too if, similar to how Clay would get asked to do the rusty robot, Clay comes to Branch asking him to do certain songs.

Floyd's before and after are pretty much the same to me - he's just happy Branch found happiness on the stage after his first failed concert.

I wanna clarify that I don't think JD, Bruce or Clay would be intentionally hurtful or dismissive, but Bruce and Clay both had their moments of being VERY dismissive to Branch's feelings. All three were putting Branch in a box of 'still a baby who hasn't changed any' and Branch singing opera would challenge that, so they'd challenge it back.

I do have some other IFs that I worked on in the past but I don't recommend playing them (I was still learning how to write at that time, so they aren't great). But if you want some IF reccs, I can recommend some IFs I've read recently.

(Released) My all time favourite is The Fernweh Saga by @lacunafiction - it's just genuinely so good and it always gives me the vibes of one of those shows you watch after dinner, that becomes part of your routine and you want to see desperately what happens after, and the characters become part of your memories, almost like people. It's just UGH such a good IF. If you like nostalgic hometown horrors, this IF is for you.

(Released) Very close favourite is Blood Moon by @barbwritesstuff - WEREWOLVES GUYS!! I've replayed this game so many times. It's one of those games that after you finish, no matter how long of a break you take from it, you always return to it. I love the "found family" of this game, even though it's not really found, it's just... family. I miss them! The romance in this story is also written so beautifully.

(Released) Another fav is The Golden Rose by @anathemafiction - it was one of my favs while it was still in WIP and after it's released I took so long to play it cause I never wanted to finish it. Like, I grew so attached to its story that I didn't want to let it go. 😭 Very well written characters and the descriptions of things, places, feelings, expressions, mannerisms, is so endearing and eye-catching, never a second where I skipped a line, I was CAUGHT. If you like a story with ominous beginnings, middles and ends, this is for you, not to mention the whole religion themes that are so interesting to dive into.

(Released) I miss this one so much but The Soul Stone War by @intimidatingpuffinstudios - there's two books out for this one already and each one is better than the previous. It's fantasy and about powers and there's a dragon lady that you can romance, and the POLY IN THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! Very soulmate-y romance and just generally captivating storytelling.

(Released) Nothing will ever hit the same as The Passenger by @the-passenger-if - there's just something so familiar, so memorable about this story. I don't think in my next lifetime I will ever forget it. It's about an eldritch horror battling with humanity and it's raw primal role as a monster. It feels short but only because you're so into it that time passes you by, but the tone and the flow of this story is very well done (as well as the characters! 🥰).

(WIP) I feel like everyone and their mothers know about Infamous by @infamous-if - but I'm going to talk about it anyways. It's a BAND IF, yes, music, yes, adrenaline, fame, and all the bad decisions that come with it. It's only one chapter out right now, but it's very worth it. I guarantee you the brainrot you will get from this game is going to consume your life.

(WIP) A somewhat popular one as well is Body Count by @bodycountgame - I haven't seen a game do the whole modern reality TV show with a tinge of horrifying brutal horror as well as Nell has, and even though it's still in its early stages, it's very well done and interesting. Lots of ROs to choose from, and genuinely funny humour to laugh about in between the crying sessions of a favourite character dying.

(WIP) Haven't heard that many people talking about this one to be fair but Chop Shop by @losergames - Also a very early stages game, but it's very adrenaline inducing and has so much potential that has me shaking in my seat. I'm already half in love with the cast and I can't wait to go need for speed and play a super chaotic individual.

Also any game by @hpowellsmith, they're amazing at creating consistent well written stories that have such great characters and even better representation. They do it so well, and I've been a fan of them for years now, definitely one of my role models!

I'm sure there are many more IFs out there that you NEED to play/read, but my mind is blank right now, and these are the only ones I could think of. I also don't have as much time to get into an IF, but I'm getting there (thinking of getting into Shepherds of Haven - which you should!)

It’s funny how some habits grow out to have completely different meanings than they had before. It’s bittersweet. 

One of Wanda’s favorite activities of all time was spending time with you, just the two of you in silence. Hearing your heartbeat as she laid on your chest; hearing the rustle of the leaves outside as the both of you read a book - by yourselves, but still together. 

The two of you appreciated the silence, that was one of the many things you found out you had in common in the early stages of your relationship. The lack of words that said way more than enough. 

But now it was all different. Your silence doesn't have the same meaning it once did. In fact, Wanda finds herself thinking quite often, it doesn’t have any meaning at all. And the worst part was that there was no one to blame but herself. 

It’s a windy day today. And neither you nor Wanda were able to postpone the promise you’d made to Billy and Tommy of taking them to the city park so they could play on the fallen leaves. 

So here you are, sitting on a park bench, watching as your sons play with some other kids from the neighborhood, laughing and running around as you and the redhead stay there, in silence. An excruciating silence. 

A few minutes before, a kind woman offered to take a picture of the four of you, after she saw you were taking pictures of the twins making angels on the sea of leaves on the floor. Wanda’s heart stopped when you agreed, thanking the stranger with the kind smile you last offered your wife a long time ago. 

The four of you got together in front of a big tree, your hand resting on Tommy’s shoulder as Wanda did the same with Billy. Following her instincts, she slipped her free arm around your middle. It took her just a second to realize what she’s done, and she was about to pull away if you hadn’t slipped your own over her shoulders. 

Wanda wanted to cry right there, the lump in her throat making it hard to breathe. But she took a deep breath, blinking rapidly to push her tears away as she forced a smile at your phone that the unknown woman held in front of her face, hiding half of the smile she was giving at the cute family on the screen. Looks really can be deceiving.

When the stranger announced the picture was taken, you pulled away faster than you’d ever done before, rubbing your nose in the way you always did when you were uncomfortable. You thanked the woman before taking your phone back, checking the picture just enough not to be rude at her kind offer. Wanda ruffled the boys' hair before thanking her as well, and as soon as the woman was gone, the perfect family facade fell apart, the two of you back on the bench, in silence.

There, the redhead thinks about making some conversation - meaningless topics she’s become accustomed to choosing to fill the void whenever it was only the two of you. It hurts, it always does. But, still, it hurt less than talking about nothing at all.

However, the moment she looks at you, she loses her nerve. Even if you weren’t looking at her, she could see the pain behind your eyes. The eyes she loves so deeply; that she could never wish to be gone from her life. 

And, in moments like that one, Wanda hated how well she knew you; how she was able to read you like the back of her hand. 

Because, right now, she knows exactly what’s going through your mind. That night, a few weeks ago, when you found out about her affair with one of her coworkers in the worst possible way. 

She didn’t mean it, nothing of it. She was dissatisfied with her job and with not being able to achieve her professional dreams. None of that was an excuse, of course, and she hadn't been able to convince you of it in the long fight you had about her cheating. You and she knew about the redhead's self-destructive behavior of sabotaging herself whenever a small detail of her life went wrong. But that was too much to forgive. 

At first, Wanda thought there was nothing worse than making you cry like that - loud sobs of pain and anger, mingled in accusations and hurtful words. But she was proved wrong the moment your tears subsided, your jaw clenched tightly. The moment you said it was over, but that you wouldn't file for divorce yet because the boys were too young and they didn't deserve it. It broke her, but there was nothing she could do about it since she broke you first. 

So here you are. An unhappy marriage with two six-year-olds to take care of and for whom you have to pretend that everything was fine.

Later that night - long after the four of you went back home and not many minutes after you put the boys to sleep -, Wanda was taking the dinner dishes out of the dishwasher and putting them back in their respective drawers and cabinets. Her heart tightened a little when she heard your footsteps approaching. 

“Wanda?” Your voice took her by surprise, her eyes wide as she turned to look at you. “Yes?” The redhead’s voice was a mere whisper, looking at you intently as your gaze rested on the floor for a moment in which you gathered the strength to look at her before you did so. 

“There’s going to be a parent-teacher conference on Tuesday morning at the boys’ school. But I’ll be working, can you go?” Your voice is almost robotic, devoid of feelings, wanting to end that conversation as quickly as possible, and Wanda's shoulders drop slightly, nodding slowly. “Sure.” A humorless chuckle escaped her lips before she found herself saying, “for a moment I thought you wanted to talk about us.”

Your response is a loud gulp that the redhead can see in your throat the moment before you avert your gaze from hers. Suddenly feeling very vulnerable, Wanda spins on her heels, hiding her tears as she busies herself tidying the glasses more than it would be necessary. 

A loud gasp of surprise makes its way past her lips a few moments later, when she feels your hand resting on her shoulder. The redhead dares not move, certain that the slightest movement would make you pull away. But out of the corner of her eye, Wanda can see that your arm is outstretched, putting as much distance between the two of you as you can as you touch her. She doesn't know how to feel about the whole thing. 

“Goodnight.” You say it the next moment, a whisper so low that it is almost drowned out by the low rumble of the refrigerator's motor. The redhead, too astonished to be able to say anything, remains silent, and you take your hand off her shoulder, and make your way with quick steps out of the kitchen, towards the guest room that was slowly becoming your bedroom. 

Even though the touch lasted only a few seconds, Wanda could still feel it burning her skin under her pajama top. And, laying her face on her own shoulder, your wife finally allows the tears to fall, wishing there was a less painful punishment for all of her mistakes.

So... The time as come. We can spill some tea, right? I'm talking about the Zendaya-Jacob-Kaia stuff. I don't know much, I only read rumors 'cause I really love Z. I remember I was shocking when in the first place I saw the Zendaya and Jacob pap pics, especially because she always has been private and I never liked him. And than, out of nowhere, he started dating Kaia, without any official announcement about the break up with Z. I don't know if rumors started with those pap pics, but I remember that someone said he cheated on Z on her birthday??? And correct me if I'm wrong, but he hadn't cheated on Joey King too? A cheater is a cheater and adding the rumors about the Lili-Cole-Kaia thing (I didn't know about this one, I recently find out) it seems a pattern. Am I miss something?

I'm a fan of Zendaya, so I was following her relationship with Elordi back then, so I can only spill what I personally observed, and also what other fans in the fandom kind of felt during that time.

Jacob & Joey

Yes, lots of Joey King fans feel that he cheated on Joey because Joey kind of alluded to it by some of her likes around the time of their split. She was liking a lot of cheating posts. 👀

Supposedly, word on the street is that Jacob had cheated on his Aussie gf with Joey. 😬

Jacob & Zendaya & Kaia

Jacob and Zendaya started dating after she and Tom broke up in 2019. Tom was spotted with some blonde chick in London, and then not too long after that, Zendaya started dating her Euphoria co-star Elordi. I think they got spotted in Greece sometime around August of 2019.

What's interesting is that Jacob met Kaia Gerber at some point the very next month in September of that same year at some fashion show/event.

It's funny, because around that time, Kaia and Tommy Dorfman (I think he's trans now?) used to hang out a lot together, and now, you almost never see her with him/her. Not sure what happened. Anyway, so Jacob used to be seen at the same events that Kaia was at, and he was always hanging out with her and her friends. Other fans of Zendaya and I all thought that was pretty sus. 👀

At one party, Jacob was even seen flirting with Kaia on video, all while he's dating Zendaya and had just been papped in NYC kissing her in Feb 2020 (so they were definitely official).

In all honesty, those papped pics with the Elordi/Zendaya kiss all looked pretty staged to me, but we're not going to get into that lol. 👀/

Around early September, Zendaya fans noticed Jacob (who had now come back to the states from Australia during covid) hanging out with Kaia Gerber again, and it was at this point we knew for a fact that he and Zendaya had split up. We weren't even shocked to see Kaia and Jacob together tbh because we all saw signs that he was always hanging around her even while he and Zendaya were dating.

By March 2020, as we all know, the global pandemic hit, and Jacob flew off to Australia, and we all know what happened after that. 👀

Next thing we know, Jacob flew to LA in September, and guess who he's spotted with???

You guessed it! KAIA GERBER.

This article above from E! came out when they got spotted out, and they were still trying to pretend that they were just friends, but we fans knew what was up. 😒

Jacob didn't cheat on Zendaya on her birthday, it's just that those pictures of Kaia and Jacob came out on Zendaya's birthday (or around her birthday), so that's why some fans assumed that he cheated on her birthday.

Most fans and I feel that Jacob and Zendaya actually split up months before it was common knowledge, and before he even stepped foot back on US soil. We all know he was keeping in touch with Kaia all throughout their relationship though.

There's no way you're jumping right to another woman when you first step foot back in LA unless you've been chatting her up for a while before you even get back into the country.

That's another reason why I don't trust Kaia. Too many weird sus things follow her around. Then I also remember the whole weird Cole Sprouse/Lili breakup and how she was around that whole thing too. 🥴 The girl is sus.

Another thing that's weird ---- Kaia and Elordi were spotted the last time together at some Halloween party back in 2021.

The next thing you know, she and Elordi have split up, and she's immediately spotted with and dating Austin Butler in early December 2021.

I'm sorry, but if you're moving on that fast from your boyfriend of a year and immediately already out with some other guy almost less than a month later, you can't tell me that there wasn't some type of overlap, or you got hooked up by somebody.

I personally kind of wonder if Kaia had her eye on Austin for a while (maybe ever since the Lily Rose fling) 👀, and dropped Elordi for a chance with Austin. Jacob himself also moved on pretty quickly as well, and they both had articles come out on the same day with their new respective significant others. (Again, weird!) I just find it strange that we still to this day don't know how Austin and Kaia even met each other (maybe mutual friends?), but I suspect Kaia and Co. pulled some strings because they don't even fly in the same circles like that lol. One thing that interests me about Koyomi and Tsubasa's relationship, especially early on, is the contrast between how much they care about each other and how little they really understand each other. From their first meeting, their relationship begins with a complete lack of understanding.

All through Bake, Hanekawa is talked up extremely highly by Koyomi. In his eyes, she's the one who knows everything, the one who is always right. Her own catchphrase might be "I just know what I know," but this is in response to Araragi complimenting her about knowing everything. He rarely thinks that she can possibly be wrong - which makes it almost funny in retrospect to realize that he holds this opinion of her despite the fact that one of the first inferences he every sees her make is massively misreading his own issues.

In Kizu, spurred by the day's sense of melancholy and the sudden absurdity of Hanekawa's skirt situation, Koyomi briefly opens up and is emotionally honest with Hanekawa. (Given that we as readers learn most about him from internal narration, this is bigger than it seems: this is one of the moments when he shares the most about himself out loud to others in the whole series.) It's not his whole deal, not by a long shot, but he gets across the basics: his strained concept of the value of friendship and human connections, his sense of nihilism, and his desire not to have to live as a human: "I want to become a plant," he tells her, "so that I wouldn't have to talk or walk." Honestly I'm not sure what a good response is to someone you are only now having a first conversation with telling you all about his depression, but Hanekawa chooses to reject it. She tells him that normally people would dream of becoming something like a rock, but in his case, since plants are a form of life, "You still want to be a living thing." Subtextually: "You don't really want to kill yourself. You aren't suicidal." To this, Koyomi basically thinks, Huh, never thought about it like that. Maybe you're right. and moves on.

….20 pages later, Koyomi chooses to kill himself for Kiss-Shot's sake, stating, "There isn't a single reason for me to bother staying alive." Kizumonogatari is in large part about Araragi's suicidal depression. Hanekawa, I love you, but you misjudged this one.

Even at this early stage of their relationship, Hanekawa thinks highly of Koyomi, much more than he deserves. As such, when confronted with something she considers a weakness, like his supremely low self-worth, she tries to justify why this isn't actually a trait he has.

Much later, by the time of Neko White, she's gotten a better chance to get to know him and become familiar with his him as a person, including his flaws, enough that she and Senjougahara can list them for hours. But that doesn't necessarily mean she understands him or his motivations - because she cares for him so much, she ends up idealizing his bad traits and his personal weaknesses into charm points and strengths. She says at the book's start that she admires him because of his confidence in his own identity, describing him as a person who doesn't hesitate over questions of who he is as a person or what he should be and do moving forward and comparing herself unfavorably to her own lack of sense of identity.

Readers, having read his narration in Kizu and Neko Black know this is far from true; that he spends a huge amount of page count trying to reflect on where he stands in life. The climaxes of both those books are great examples. In Kizu, Koyomi has a huge internal crisis after seeing the death of Guillotine Cutter. He tells Hanekawa that he is unsure if he is human or monster, worrying even that he'll eat her. He is unsure if he is going to oppose Kiss-Shot or not. And on top of that, his own guilt is eating him alive, causing him to question the worth of all his actions in the book so far. There's no way that this can be called a man sure of who he is, and it is Tsubasa herself who snaps him out of it. He relies on her presence as a guide to move forward. She has first hand experience seeing him experience deep uncertainty as to what kind of person he wants to be, but her narration in Neko White claims the opposite - that his consistency and surety is a trait she admires. A similar kind of struggle happens in Neko Black's ending, though given her own stresses and struggles at the time its very understandable that she didn't catch this one. Time after time Tsubasa is the one to see Koyomi's doubts and greatest moments of weakness, but rather than harm her view of Araragi, if anything it seems to have raised her opinion of him. In her Neko White letter, she admires what she calls "confronting his own weaknesses." She talks about falling in love with him when she saw that he was crying as he saved Kiss-Shot, comparing it negatively to how she showed no emotion and smiles through both suffering and aid. She basically says this outright in the letter: to her, all of Araragi's flaws becomes positive. Moments of self-doubt become moments of self honesty, to cry while acting is to remain true to oneself, and so forth.

Not that Koyomi is a genius at understanding her, either. While he admires her, for most of Kizu a lot of whats going on between them is going on in his head - he's projecting his own issues onto her and he deals with her more as what she represents to him than an equal friend, as he will come to treat her later in Bake and beyond. Neko Black, taking place between these two points, shows him in the middle of this transition.

I feel like there's less to say on his side though, just because Neko Black is much more explicit about Koyomi's failure to understand Tsubasa than Kizu is for the reverse. When she feels obligated by friendship to tell Araragi about her struggles with her family, in a reversal of their first conversation from the start of Kizu, he has this to say about it:

Despite having been friends for a month by then he realizes he has still been seeing her more as an ideal than a person. However, his reaction here, in contrast to when the situation was flipped, also illustrates that his way of misunderstanding is subtly different from the way Hanekawa misunderstands him. Rather than a direct dismissal, Koyomi, while originally ignorant, does come around to understanding What Tsubasa will do. However, he does this while blocking out any understanding of Why she would act like this. He can grasp the actions and emotions, but not the underlying causes.

As an example, near the end of Neko Black, after Koyomi has had some time to internalize his new understanding of Hanekawa, he is able to predict her words to her father before Meme tells him, then later develops a plan to deal with the Cat based around predicting her actions well in advance, first luring her out and then baiting her into attacking him. However, despite all this, he seems to have no knowledge, or perhaps is intentionally blocking out, the motivations behind her actions. Theres a reason she calls him "the worst" when he offers to give his time and energy to deal with her stress. (And much like when he healed her injury earlier, this is him dealing with symptoms rather than the true problem.) Because he's totally misjudging what she actually wants.

A similar pattern can be seen in the Cat chapter of Bake, when he first sees the cat. He realizes this means she's stressed, and can guess at how this will make her act and that things might get dangerous, but has no idea what set her off this time, not until the Cat tells him outright why things got to this point.

Koyomi views Hanekawa so highly, almost like she is incapable of making mistakes, despite having personal experience from the get go that she is very capable of making mistakes and that sometimes her inferences are wrong, and that she is often wrong about him, specifically. Hanekawa is wrong about Koyomi because she does the same thing, and views him so highly that she dismisses and glosses over his faults that she has seen personally. Together, they both consistently fail to understand each other because they place the other on a pedestal without meaning to. And yet, the book is clear that despite this gap in understanding, the friendship is no less for it. The care between the two is real, as is the effort they take in each other's lives.

I'm super happy that tiktok is making it possible for small artists to breakthrough and blow up BUT when it comes down to chappell, sabrina simply slays more and is the better artist. She genuinely loves being a pop princess, has so much fun on stage, and started serious singing lessons back at Disney ages ago. her work is more cohesive and better produced, her stylist is doing really well with establishing her silhouettes, her vocals are stronger, and she also naturally has the adorable Disney girl look that the industry eats up which propelled her career so fast

chappell is purposely drag "ugly" which is very fun and will def get her some Halloween costumes this year, her fun little songs are so catchy and cute, but the production and style and her skill level needs a lot more work. Beyonce wasn't good at first either, remember when she was just solanges off key pretty little sister? I love that she's a successful rags to superstar story and she is really bringing the community together rn, it feels good. but, she doesn't know how to be famous. It's making her extremely depressed and miserable. Muna Absolutely EATS at vocals, punchy beats, they have such a strong sound and the butchfemmebutch thing is so, so powerful & sexy & real. They are thee perfect band imo. but the stylist is so inconsistent with branding that I couldn't recognize them as the same band I learned about from my gay friend in 2020. they're constantly serving cunt. but only the good taste lesbians are there to eat it.

Zolita has released some absolute bangers but her vocals haven't kept up with her high production standards and the rebranding from vampire to nun to barbie to cheerleader isn't helping her establish a solid pop artist identity! she should've stayed in the indie zone, dark and whispery and gothic was her thing. But I love that she's never shyed away from aggressive out and proud lesbian aesthetics and marketing, I still have her lesbian sex stickers on my laptop!

Soooooo I've been thinking of writing a Loop-centric Isat fanfiction, and I'm in very early stages of desicions with it. So I wanted to do my own take on a Human Loop design, with the idea that getting a physical idea of what I want Loop to look like will help influence some of the earlier chapters (Since my brain is thinking of later chapters way too much).

Design Choices and Thoughts below the cut, with spoilers and a whole lot of rambling!

So firstly, technically, there's actual colours I chose there. I'm not gonna spell out everything, but the jacket features an oxblood red leather and some yellow highlights. Their right eye was red (blind left eye is black with white pupil cus it's still blind), and the necklace's gem was a bright shining yellow like a star. The metals feature Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver mainly. All of these I manually shifted into greyscale. It looks very funny with the rainbow in the background.

The first big choice I made was to add so many scars. Like jesus so many. I was inspired by a fic called The Art of Sharing by Kamary on AO3 which has Loop keep the injuries they sustain in the loops. I had some different ideas though. Specifically, each scar Loop has is from something that damaged them more than once. Each one is a reminder of a mistake repeated. The more it repeated the more visible the scar. I have some bigger ideas for some specific scars to implement but the biggest one, clearly, is the hand.

Or more, the Arm. Loop favoured an arm for dunking into the tears to loop back, and they where recklace with it. While I like how Kamary did a similar thing, I had a different idea for it. What if they burned. What if they melted. What if whatever became of your hand or arm was just not compatible with You anymore. So, Loop now doesn't have their right arm. And they get a Crafted prosthetic. I wanna make this a continuous point in the fic. I imagine most have Change God imagery, and I imagine that makes Loop a tad... uncomfortable. I imagine them dealing with a basic one but then learning how to make one themself. Add onto how they hate being in any House Of Change now, as all of them, in a little way, of the House Of Dormont, and they struggle to learn nearly as easily as they could. Eventually, they make something their happy with. Something sharp and sleek and shiny and Different. (As a general rule I like to think people with different kinds of Craft at their disposal end up generallly having different affects on the things they use their Craft on. A Craft doll made by Odile would be different from one made by Isabeau, for instance. With how much Wish Craft Loop has, I imagine anything they make to look a bit Different).

Now for the outfit itself. I do love seeing people embrace Loop being more open to showing skin, and with the scars too it makes for a striking look. And I think that's the biggest key difference between Loop and Siffrin. Loop uses Confidence and Flamboance as their shield, as their diversion from their insecurities. I remember seeing someone mention about how, when they walk into a room looking visually striking, coloured hair and piercings, everyone in the room knows 1 thing about them. But by those people's reactions to that person, they know Everything they need to know about those people. I feel like Loop would lean into that heavily. Odile is smart and catches onto things quickly. Isabeau equally so and even more emotionally intellegent. And Loop uses their abrasiveness to gauge people extremely quickly. In a way Loop's disregard for how people see them helps them here. This influenced a lot of how I designed them, using these as key points of difference with Siffrin.

The hat had the least thought in it. Loop feels lost without a hat, but refuses to take Siffrin's and refuses to have anything like Siffrin's hat. They spent so long being someone other than Siffrin. In a way, it helps them cope with losing their own party. Helps them move on. It also on the same note helps them ignore how much it affects them. This hat is technically the Plague Doctor hat acording to Heroforge. I just took it as a decent leather hat with a brim. Enough to distinguish themselves from Siffrin, but close enough in feel to their old hat. They absolutly needed something with some kind of brim, both because they hate the sun and because they, like Siffrin, love hiding their face when they're having emotions.

The jacket I thought a lot about. I wanted them to have something long but not as long as Odile's. They like flowy things, but also something more open. Also, pockets and belts to stash and hide things. If anything they're more prone to picking up everything not bolted down than Siffrin! This combined with the simplest and nicest tanktop/binder tied the whole thing together. Very 'Hot Girl Shit' vibes.

The glove was because handling things without Siffrin's gloves felt extremely weird. They needed something. But also, damn their nails look killer with the dark varnish on, matches their makeup so nicely! They absolutly NEED to show that off or they will DIE!! They chose one with metal knuckles because at any moment they need the ability to deck someone. It's how they use their Rock crafts, with a mean Left Hook (They're debating renaming one of them to "Left Plot Hook" to keep the puns but also dipping into specifically narrative puns. This is a debate between Sif and Loop and sometimes the rest of the party through the whole fic).

The necklace was because they've grown so, so used to something shimering and shining under their chin, they needed something bright again. It draws the eye. It catches people's attention. It was a gift from Isabeau because "it reminded him of how they looked before being human" and Loop's heart decided to remind them it exists with a vengance and now Loop refuses to take it off ever. It just looks neat that's all there is to it yep.

Loop found a section in a shop dedicated to belts and decided then and there that they where gonna wear multiple. They now strive to collect one from every town they visit. It also adds to the Pretty Noise agenda a little. But not as much as

THE BOOTS!! Loop finds them in the armoury and is immedietly captivated, but then remembers The King. Those Gauntlets. And then ponders if knightly armour is a generally attractive thing where they're from, not that Siffrin ever indulged. But then they put them on and THEY GO CLINK CLINK WHEN THEY WALK!! They're suprisingly quiet, the heel making the most noise. They CAN be louder if they want, but all their sensibilities as a Rouge lets them be at least a bit quiet in them. AND THEY SHINE AND THEY GO CLINK CLINK AND THEY'RE STRIKING AND THEY HAVE TO HAVE THEM! Ahem. I mean. They do look nice. They're not Giddy over boots. Stop smiling like that.

For now this is their main gear, but I can imagine them getting more clothes as they go on. Stars they want changes of clothes. Different outfits. Before the loops they could never care about fasion or makeup or anything but now, anything for a Change. It's funny, they do have to admit how nice the freedom of Changing is, even if it's just clothes.

Anyway that's my rambles for now! I think I could go on for hours but I've already written so much! If I don't stop now I'll just start writing the fanfiction here!! When he wanted to explore the world more bcz he found out he missed out on a lot of fun stuff he should have done during his early 20s but never tried bcz he was so shy and traumatized from the Starship and fans and sasaengs..when he learned that not all fans are bad and that some really are nice and love him.. and when he finally learnt that it's not that hard to do an Aegyo and that it won't make him any less of a manly man! And when he learnt that his very chill introverted complex Mysterious character he was adopting bcz SM told him so so that he would be liked by Movie producers bcz they like the mature mysterious charismatic image of idols instead of funny fun talkative flower boys,.. When he learnt to enjoy himself and try new things and go more on variety shows,

He did it..

SM let him, they never stopped him and you can see how he changed. Even his dress style went from boring grandpa style to Sexy Zaddy. I feel like he regretted being too serious and shy in his best ages of his life aka the 20s and he found out he messed out on a lot of fun things that he should've done longtime but now it ain't the age for it because somehow this is the age he's supposed to be more mature and calm he kinda flipped it out , but good he finally discovered this fun sexy non shy daring funny side of himself on camera, and he worked a lot on his persona and his stage and variety show entertainer presence, and he found out people liked him for that! He got more recognition and people just started to get to know him and he gained more fans, and guess what?? HE LIKED IT!

It's when HE WANTED to change that HE CHANGED. You can see that part of him not appearing on any variety shows or promotions was somehow also his decision or character, now that he asked for Variety shows and solo Albums and Promotions...He got it 💁🏻 Did anyone stop him?

But again of course SM also played a huge role in this. But he's one of SM's favorites just like Baek, and for the favorites they don't sabotage them ! They "TAME" them unfortunately that's the term they use. But for the ones they don't care about such as Chanyeol or Jongdae they sabotaged them by spreading false 10 girlfriends Cheating scandals and letting fans boycott Jongdae in front of SM and boycott his activities and promotions and forcing Jongdae to go enlist without doing anything to protect him. You should get the difference, if Ksoo or Ji or Baek ask for promotions albums projects etc.. they'll get it NOT EASILY though! But easier than the other members. So that's the small difference so once he wanted to be on shows and have actual promotions he got them. And you can see it.

For Ksoo they wanted him to be Mysterious they built him a persona and an Aura he was supposed to stick by it but what they didn't know is that he can't do that forever duh?!

something to know about lili was that she was not an early riser.

as someone who loved her beauty sleep — she, more often than not, could be caught snoozing her alarm; it was a sore reminder for the days when she used to room with jiah, and could only rely on the other to wake her up before she left for the day. but without her, relying on herself and her phone’s alarm had made mornings a little harder. 

this particular morning was by far the hardest — waking up early was a bad, waking up even earlier to set up the camera for the most perfect ‘i just woke up like this’ shot was the worst.

blinking the sleep away, a brush of her fist against her eyes as she looks to the camera that she had pointed at her face — a unobscured close up — that lili only smiles to, breathing a rather groggy, “morning.” before laughing and turning away from the camera — pulling the covers up to her nose as she blinks at the time noted in red from across the room on the alarm clock. 6:35, ugh — so early. 

she shuts off the video then, checking the footage first, in the off chance that she’d have to redo that embarrassing display over again — thankfully she does not — and once it’s done with, lili wishes she could just lay back, continue on to dreamland but alas, now that she was up — she was up. 

wandering into the kitchen, lili picks up a banana and a protein shake from the fridge — the initial grimace she usually makes when she takes a gulp of her shake is wiped clean as she remains as passive as possible while going about her morning. 

today’s agenda includes lgc family concert practice — a continuation of some nostalgia stages and others — and her japanese lesson; things she lists off to the camera while finishing off her banana, “and then i get to go home and do my skincare.” she laughs, quietly noting that doing her skincare and makeup may be her favorite parts of her personal time. 

for someone who wasn’t well-versed with documenting every second of her day for someone other than herself to see, lili was quick to fall into ease in front of a camera. propping it against her tumbler; she sits back for her japanese lesson; taking out her usual suspects for the review: her my melody plush pencil case and it’s paired notebook as well as the recording device she usually brought with her to record the teacher’s dictations ( it helps her to repeat the phrases she learned that day when she hears it again spoken by a professional  ); all placed side by side as she waits for the teacher to come in.

it’s kind of funny how diligent lili is in her lesson considering just a couple months ago she had dreaded learning the language all because she had been under the impression that she had been placed in the workshop as a mistake — yet, here she is, almost five months into learning a new language.

maybe it was something she had a knack at — and at this point, after feeling somewhat comfortable in not one, not two, not even three but four languages — lili couldn’t help but feel proud of herself.

she wouldn’t call herself fluent — never, not yet at least — but as she scribbles on her notebook to show to the camera, at the end, she can’t help but feel that she was getting there.

her night routine wasn’t some agonizing 10 step system but it definitely did take a while and would keep lili in the bathroom for longer than she should be; it’s why after she washes her face, with a quick pat, she’s returning to her bedroom to do the rest of her skincare; making sure to dry each layer she places on her skin — whether its her toner, serum or emulsions — they each take their time to dry before she places the next. 

she’s left with just her face mask when she’s met with the camera once again — hand waving as she blows a cute kiss it’s way before saying goodnight.

Hi Storm! It might seem a shady question, but it's just curiosity: have you ever disapproved of something the boys did or said, or felt that something wasn't exactly your cup of tea?

I'm thinking about the fact that even between the closest and most affectionate friends disagreements can happen, and that it can happen also with idols, actors etc; I'm thinking about the recent declarations of Jackson Wang, and on a more personal note of a disagreement I had with one of my best friends. It never happens, and then it happens, and I was wondering if you ever felt like this towards BTS, since I think you have a cool and rational perspective on things and you aren't one of those fans that follow blindly their myths.

Personally, I don't have any issues with BTS, and even if I think about some wrong stuff like the misogynistic lyrics Namjoon wrote when he was very young, I also think about his mature and responsible reaction, and how he addressed clearly the issue for what it was without trying to sweep it under the rug. He held himself accountable, a thing that can be hard, so it was worthy of respect in my opinion.

About what is or isn't my cup of tea, I think I feel less of a connection with Taehyung, but this doesn't mean I don't find him quite funny, or adorable or smart, at times. It just means I feel less drawn to him and more towards other members. I think it means he's not my bias? I still don't really use the terminology 😅

I made these two examples in hope you see this question as sincere and not as a provocative one: I adore BTS, I just think they're humans and deserving to be treated as such.

Hi, BTS are humans and they are not infallible. Of course that's okay to talk about, as long as the conversation is respectful, which you have been and I appreciate. Yes, there have definitely been things they've done that I haven't liked. Most honestly that I think they've grown and learned from though honestly too. Because they are geniunely good people.

In their early years, they did have some issues with cultural appropriation with their use of black culture in, probably an effort to be more hip hop, but just ended up being inappropriate. As well as some issues with cultural appropriation for Native American Cultures as well. Some hairstyles they (all) did, using AAVE a few times in an earlier interview in not a great way, some not great comments about not wanting to be "too tan." And honestly, mostly after 2015, they grew up a lot and things got better and they seemed to learn. There haven't really been any similar type issues that I know of and they are in general, much more sensitive and culturally aware. Especially considering the world wide stage they now stand on. And while I fully appreciate their growth and respect it, doesn't make me not cringe and some old photos of theirs at times too. (Although there also isn't as many instances as antis like to pretend there are) But it's not an issue for them currently. And Namjoon even apologized for his past actions in cultural appropriation during an interview before too and made a log video with an apology later as well too. A very sincere one. Similar to his apology for any participation he had in misogyny with his lyrics. Fully owning up to it and growing.

I also, and this is the only one that is still something that is hard for me sometimes, hate how entrenched they are in diet culture. And I know a lot of that has to do with how they were raised and probably lowkey traumatized in the kpop industry where that is a HUGE deal. But while they are professionals, and they do have staff and med staff and trainers with them to help make these sometimes unhealthy choices to be healthier. They do have a lot of people who look up to them and I sometimes wish they would be able to help preach a healthier relationship/mindset with food and with body positivity towards themselves. I do think they have gotten BETTER about this, but it's still prevalent. I don't necessarily fault them for it at all either. Because it's an industry thing and self love is a continuous and constant journey. I actually have an ask about this topic too that I've been sitting on and trying to figure out how to best answer that and I'll get into it more then, or maybe I won't and I'll keep my answer more general. It depends on how much I think I actually have to say about it all. Lol I'm not REALLY wanting to open these topics up for debate or discussion really as I don't think there is anything that can be added here and be a productive conversation.

The misogyny issues brought up were never ones I personally found offensive, but that's just me and I know other people can feel differently about that as well. And that's okay.

Overall though, they are geniunely good people, tend to make good decisions, and geniunely care about people, the world, their fans, each other, etc. I trust them, I also trust them to make good decisions for themselves and those around them and as examples to the world. I trust them to learn and grow from any mistakes. And I trust them to do what's right for them and trust in them as good hearted people, because they really are. Hopefully that all makes sense and this is taken and received well, as I mean it to be. Love them all so dearly. And love yall. Thanks for the ask 💜

so I've been seeing a lot of negativity around twitchcon and while there was obviously a LOT wrong with it, I'm still insanely glad I went and I wanna share some really positive things that happened!

all the lore related questions during the dsmp panel were SO good. quackity especially is great in panels like that, you could really see how excited he was to talk about his lore stuff

name your price was insanely fun to be at. like, i had the time of my life watching that in the theater. austin is amazing at hosting in front of a live audience, karl has great stage presence and knows how to come up with very simple but extremely funny bits that just get better and better each time he repeats them, and I nearly lost my voice screaming my head off to cheer on a guy in a ketchup costume riding a tricycle right past me. also i got to keep one of the rubber ducks will wasn't able to catch in his tray

twitch staff listened and learned how to handle the lines! by day 2 the lines were extremely well-organized and there was no issue at all. yea it was frustrating that the day 3 panel with aimsey, crumb, niki, tina, hannah, and puffy only had room for 400 people, but they handed out wristbands to the early people so there was no crowding or pushing to get in, and they live streamed the panel in the theater at the same time it was happening for people who couldn't get in

also as frustrating as it is that the panel got aimsey and crumb's pronouns wrong, the panel itself was extremely enjoyable to watch. aimsey is such an articulate speaker, crumb was extremely funny to watch especially when they kept sticking the mics into the eyeholes on their box, the moderator had great energy, and the questions from the audience were all really good!

i might make a separate post on how nice this was but freddie and billzo did an unplanned 3-4 hour long meet and greet on day 3 and they were so nice to talk to. they both had amazing energy and were so enthusiastic!!

anyway, this isn't to say the people who dealt with way more shit aren't allowed to be upset about the con because of course they are. there were so many organization and safety issues for everyone involved. but I just wanted to share some positive things i experienced at twitchcon to show that there were some really nice parts to it too!

ok lets go. first about my day, if you don't wanna know you can scroll down :D

so i had to book my train ticket for a train at 6:30 am bc they announced the concert super late and everything was expensive already. i cried abt it to friends for days bc i never leave the house this early, but then as i started to travel there were commuters everywhere just doing their regular thing. and like it's not that big of a deal xD

i arrived in paris at 10 am, successfully queued in the right queue to obtain my metro tickets, did so and successfully took the metro to the neighborhood of the concert (last time i took the metro alone i couldn't find the way out and when i finally got out i had to walk super far anyway and the ride wasn't worth it :D).

i dropped my bag and thought i could have breakfast somewhere but nothing seemed inviting and i had eaten some breadbuns on the train and wasn't hungry so whatevs. went to a park and walked around, it was nice. so many ppl working out here! decided i should eat sth for lunch but was overwhelmed with finding a restaurant that offered veggie food with good ratings and close by and is open and is affordable. also i learned i'm really not confident to go to restaurants or even cafés alone. so i got some prepackaged food at a supermarket but it was meh :D walked past the venue and there were a few people waiting at 2 pm. got bubble tea i love that stuff. then there was nothing more to do and i didn't wanna use up my energy so i went to the place where i'm staying and read a book. ate the rest of the lunch.

went to the venue! i thought, but it turned out i walked into the wrong entrance into the wrong event. i was already confused about the other people xD

then i found the right entrance and was confused again bc there was no queue at all. general admission was at 7:30 and it was like 7:32. there were 2 guys entering at the same time as me and one said to the other (in english) "yeah i played here 4 years ago" and i didn't think anything about it.

i got in and the club was SO SMALL!! even though i hadn't queued i got a good spot to see. after a short time, the dj, dnopf, started. and it turned out he was the guy from the entrance!! i felt sry for not recognizing him. he played only khh and krnb and i cannot explain how much i loved that. that's my dream like. having someone who knows khh really well rec khh to me? there were songs i didn't know but sounded good. a lot of jay park and coogie. a lot of aomg/h1ghr but no ambition or daytona at all. dnopf's tshirt said

i thought that was funny.

then jjangyou started right away (no waiting times, it was awesome). i'm not really into his music but wow he can make the party go crazy like himself. he even walked around in the crowd and was really close to where i was! he said he was sick and had a cold so we should cheer more to give him energy. poor guy, i felt bad ':D but this was a great performance, he was the most energetic artist by far.

then hongwon came on aaaah! he played 2 old songs and then only unreleased songs, 1 or so of which i didn't know. he introduced himself as "young b yanghongwon" and said when he returns to korea he will release an ep. (it has to he noted he's promised albums often so it's not really reliable but i'll still be hoping every time :D). slowmo is the album's name. his performance was wonderful ofc, he did all the raps properly as we know of him <3 idk what to say u know he's my fav artist rn it's just yeah.

and then kid milli. his show was also great of course! he's very professional, with carefully chosen song order etc so you know it will definitely be good. he showered the crowd in compliments (a bit cheesy for me but whatever :D). i felt bad abt knowing so few of his songs. he wore a hat (beanie style) and hoodie for the whole show idk how he didn't melt but he stayed strong :D

during kid milli's performance, suddenly hwimin jumped on stage for 1 second, yes you read right and i didn't see wrong bc kid milli confirmed it :D he said "do you like hwimin? we brought a representative for area, it's gemini!" so gemini came out and performed 3 songs and the crowd went crazy for him. i don't like him thaat much so i was a bit ?? but i guess it was the surprise effect, he said he'll be back next time with his own tour. parisians are lucky that so many khh ppl (esp former fa members and area members) seem to love paris so much, i don't see this for any other place except maybe japan.

after that, kid milli performed some songs with less action and then at the end as an encore some songs with jjangyou and hongwon together. they performed indigo last, with good guy kid milli rapping all of justhis' part <3

the show ended around 10:15? maybe. kid milli left the stage early but jjangyou and hongwon stayed around for a long time, gave signatures and talked to fans from the stage. that was so nice!

when i got out, it was still a little bright outside. not where i live! this was surprising but it's almost the longest day of the year after all. the neighborhood was still full of people enjoying the evening and sunset, good mood.

Hi Jen, I know you've deactivated your account since sending this but ^^; I'll answer it anyway for other people. Sorry for the long delay, I was on Tumblr / FOP hiatus last year.

I see Chloe as being completely blinded to the dark hearts the Anti-Fairies are said to have in canon; she usually sees the world in gray tones unless very specific conditions for annoyance and betrayal fall into place. She has a lot of tolerance for Anti-Fairies, probably because Foop doesn't really get her angry and he just kind of makes things mildly inconvenient. Some examples of angry Chloe that come to mind are:

-> Perhaps most obviously, Kevin's betrayal. Chloe gets right in his face, jabbing a finger at his chest, spitting that he's a "Despicable little piece of Crocker," which is already funny enough, but I think it's extra hilarious since in "Fairy Con," she prevents herself from swearing by saying "Crocker" instead. Probably not intentional on the writers' part but I still think it's funny. I like how as far as we know in canon, Kevin's reaction is to wordlessly turn away from her and leave through the window, these two are so… chaotic.

-- Chloe seems more guarded around Kevin in the episodes after he betrays her even though he did everything necessary to fix the original conflict… mainly because Kevin stood between her and the Hall Monitor position she wanted. When Crocker says that Kevin will be named the new Hall Monitor, Chloe first acts shocked that Kevin even deserves the title, then screams "THIS IS SO UNFAIR!" while she's still standing in the classroom in front of everyone and I think we should acknowledge that.

-> Another angry moment: Chloe straight-up cursing Timmy to lose the ability to speak because he made her late for school in "Tardy Sauce"- something she did deliberately to prevent him from using magic, which is kind of uncool considering he could have easily ended up in danger and been unable to wish his way out of it ngl. Also I did check and she literally refers to him as "the most selfish, horrible former friend in the known and unknown universe, including black holes." Like, girl holds no punches when she's tipped from seeing you as morally gray to morally black. The literal next thing she does after this is run into class and throw Timmy under the bus, shouting "It was all Timmy's fault!"

-- On a side note, I do find it telling that Timmy isn't really one for denying people a wish. I'm pretty sure with Chloe he gets a little annoyed, but generally points out her wish flaws so she can learn from them- even when other kids like Mikey and Tootie ended up with temporary wish abilities, I'm pretty sure he didn't constrain them, but just tried to advise them and let them learn. Didn't even interfere with Norm and Chester in the early stages when things were chill. Just a side note on their characterizations that I think is interesting because I think it says a lot about Chloe's paranoia and how she wants things to be exactly the way she planned them while Timmy is more adaptable.

-> Chloe loses her temper in "Dimmsdale Daze" to the point that she shouts at kids that they're "monster children with evil in their hearts" even though all they did at the time was ask for popcorn.

-> Even early in the series, Chloe is highly passive-aggressive (and then directly aggressive) towards Timmy on his birthday, so driven to insanity that she refused to go to sleep so she could be "better" than him. This happens at the start of the episode rather than after a long day of chaos and stress like "Daze," she is not and has never been okay.

-> I do seem to remember her having a lot of animosity towards Timmy's parents as well, and she definitely has gripes with Catman and is uneasy around Dark Laser, but I think we've covered all the obvious Chloe conflicts I wanted to hit (besides her parents, but that's not for this post, I think).

SO as for the question about Anti-Fairy relationships: Chloe obviously cares a lot for Foop. Although there are multiple times Foop tries to hurt or sabotage her in some way, she forgives him. I think she simply doesn't take him seriously because he's, like, 7 to 9 years old. I basically interpret Chloe as a character who tries not to make assumptions, but when someone strikes a nerve then she'll make assumptions anyway and react explosively until she cools down again.

Foop keeps trying but does not strike her nerves the way that Kevin and Timmy do. There is a difference between "Betrayed by someone I genuinely consider a friend" and "New girl showed up in class and started bullying me but I don't know anything about her so I am confused but not betrayed."

I also like to imagine Chloe would fall for the "classy bad-boy villain" vibes that Anti-Cosmo projects because it's funny to me. In my one-shot "This Is a Box," Chloe meets Anti-Cosmo for the first time and describes him as "the extremely good-looking British Anti-Fairy." When she's introduced to him properly, she greets him as, "Oh, you're Foop's dad." This irritates Anti-Cosmo considerably because he does not like playing second fiddle to his son, and she calls him "Mr. Foop's Dad" again later because that's just how she sees him. She met Foop first, Anti-Cosmo is Foop's Dad.

I think Chloe and Anti-Wanda might get along, but Anti-Wanda is minorly mischievous and relatively harmless, so the vibe would probably be Chloe asking how Foop is doing while Foop is standing there holding his mom's hand and being embarrassed. I also feel that Chloe is the type who would leap in to join the Anti-Fairies on the field during the Fairy World Games if she felt like they were the underdogs. It's what she does.

I do feel like Chloe would continually brush off the Anti-Fairies' "evil" side as drama and exaggeration because she wants to see the good in everyone, and I do feel like it would be hard for her to see anything truly evil about Foop because he's a little kid.

I was going to add something in here about how Chloe would appreciate the Anti-Fairies as people but wouldn't be lured into doing evil alongside them, but then I remembered a crucial piece of Chloe canon:

-> She totally broke into Timmy's house and stole a collector's item from his dad. That is actually a thing she did and the official canon is that this theft launched her into a life of crime as she joined a gang, stole from other kids, and started fooling around with deadly lasers. Cosmo, Wanda, and Timmy scared her straight and pulled her back, but when I think about it then yeah, Chloe absolutely would get swayed by the Anti-Fairies to do crimes.

tl;dr - I'll take any opportunity to discuss Chloe's darker side, she has so much coldness in her heart and we should always remember that without the support of Timmy and her godparents, canonically she'd have spiraled into a life of crime. Also she would definitely hang out with the Anti-Fairies, especially Foop because he is her baby.

About "AI" and why people are defending it...

Okay, I'm speaking as a person who did use "AI" art and writing programs for a while... speaking honestly, the ones I used were pretty good in quality, but overall just messy generators. I'll link this video from TB Skyen about the consequences of AI and this video by Tabbes about how "AI" is just a tool, for now, to try and give you all a grasp on what the AI situation is looking like. (Also, Tabbes is here to look for the positives of AI, while also being a funny video to watch after TB's existential one...)

So, about my own experience, I myself know that this isn't an actual AI, at least in the description of, "A digital computer or computer-controlled robot with the ability to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings." The thing is, this has been the closest to AI we've gotten so far. People have created learning machines that study art and writing algorithms (illegally because, again, they're taking online sources to fuel this without any consent from the creators...) and producing something out of what they've learned. However, since it's still in its early stages, it's kind of... just... generating. That's what these generators are for, just generating text or images based on what they learned online instead of using what they learned to make deeper work. I'll be honest, it's hard to represent that with AI art, and that's why I'm talking about AI writing as well. This is the perfect example of "just generating stuff." It's fun, yes, and I've certainly had fun with the chats with the characters for some of them, but, something I've noted is how often I have to correct them, whether on my gender and pronouns, their own character, their world, the situation, hell, how they generate text with you, especially when they start using () these to "talk with you" to try and feel more alive, like the AI is trying to pretend to be a roleplayer to you, an actual human, etc. It's even worse when you have them interact with each other because now, it's just generating stuff for generating's sake.

The reason, I think, why people protect or defend it is because those people don't understand the intricacies of art. Yes, you can see anything as a piece of art, and these generated artworks are really good pieces of art. However, that doesn't excuse stealing other peoples' art to feed these generators, because it's not given consent to by the artists, and is therefore stealing. Big companies are putting all their money on "AI" software that's literally just generating simple text that anyone can write for any character, or create pictures that any artist, no matter the skill, could do simply, without ever going into the "why was this made" question. But people defend AI all because of the misconception that "I can put meaning behind these pieces of work, therefore, the generator making them should also have meaning for them!" And spiraling that if/then scenario into, "You're also a generator since you also use other people's art as inspiration sometimes."

AI is still far away from becoming a reality, and we shouldn't defend the generators they are right now from the artists and writers who have to fight back against any threat to their jobs, especially by something stealing their work.
