Y’all do not understand how badly I need a man that loves his kids. Like- I want that domesticated fluffy fanfiction lifestyle. Give me a man that genuinely wants to see his kids grow up into amazing people. Give me a man that spoils his kid as much as he spoils me if not more. It is honestly in my opinion literally the hottest, no- SEXIEST thing EVER. When a man just WANTS TO BE THE BEST DAD EVER. Literally gets me so excited and feet kicking happy to the point where I will probably never stop having children.
28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
Give him the unpleasant truth. He'll deal with it and probably even grin and make a joke. Rowley is a cynic anyway, you can't shock him by being upfront. He is too, to an annoying degree, and only twists the truth or comes up with stories to make himself or a situation appear worse, not better.
Not that he minds lying so much, he'll make the best out of what he gets, but if he has the choice? Truth it is.
[Ah, I also have to admit the whole Astarion situation in BG3 proved that he doesn't handle lying as well when it comes from someone he cares about. He would have much preferred a "you'll be useful to me, I'll be useful to you for a while and that's what that's about" than the over-the-top flattery he never believed anyway while falling in love himself. (Things developed in his favor and the lie became a truth but it was very interesting for me to see him struggle with it.)]
30. Who do they most regret meeting?
In my original universe: Salvadore (and Eneas). Because their schemes lead to his worst loss.
In all universes where Sal and Eneas are not part of but Rowley is or where their paths didn't cross (or just differently): Another rogue like him he worked with for a while but then a job went wrong, they tried to betray each other, Rowley won the battle of wits but the guy wanted revenge. Unfortunately, he mistook his twin brother for him.
A) Why are you excited about this character?
Rowley is one of my oldest friends still actively used OCs, he accompanied me for so many years, and I'm still very excited about him after all that time. Rowley means complete freedom, he says the worst kind of shit and it's so much fun to come up with that and explore where his provoking nature, his shameless behavior, his cocky insults, and his black humor will lead him in this situation or that.
He always observes more attentively than others expect him to and fiercely protects the few people important to him but can fall into a dangerous state of mind where he becomes destructive like a natural force and just as nihilistic.
His range, depending on circumstances, universe, and what happened to him, goes from genuinely unconditional lover/protector/friend to dark and witty trickster to provoking, shameless rogue and adventurer to death-bringing maniac.
I don't know, I just think he's neat.
i made a thread on the bg3 subreddit 15 days ago asking for advice on opening an unpickable door and it’s still getting comments on how people opened this door and all the fun and creative ways they figured it out for themselves
in case anyone is wondering the reblogs in the kallamar angst comic are up to 25 individual people with tags that either have "ow" yelling or simply making anguished noises :D
