some of my favourite tidbits from the new video by JO subs

they apparently create a song which they use as a kind of demo and then use this demo as a “self-inspiration” for multiple other songs (for example, bele sanje and sama were both made out of ples)

when Bojan has a new song idea he brings his acoustic guitar, tries to figure out which chord he was using and needs at least ten tries to remember it (according to Martin) and then “he does it perfectly” (according to Jan)

the others then join with their own vision they get from his interpretation but sometimes Bojan already has some ideas like “I heard drums done that way”

Martin and Bojan have a record player at home (it was very sweet how Martin corrected himself from “Bojan has it” to “We have it”)

Jan would really like to play the saxophone and Martin actually considered playing the tuba as a child

apparently Bojan is taking (took at this point?) piano lessons

Martin felt “okay” about the demo version of vse kar vem (Jan described feeling okay as not loving it but not disliking it lol)

this podcast was published in May 2022, back then Jan and Martin's favourite song was Vem da greš, Jure's Metulji, Kris's Dopamin (“because it's his”) and Bojan's Gola or Metulji (they weren't sure)

Martin said that people describe him as reliable, serious, friendly but also that he “sometimes talks a lot”

(Jan added that he's “nicely bearded” as in, he has a nice beard)

After giving this some thought and then checking your tier list for inspiration I think you'll be amused to find out that I was considering Thoma prior to seeing it.

Thoma is really, really sweet, and I think he'd be able to figure out a really nice balance between getting you out of your comfort zone but not throwing you into the deepest, coldest, darkest pits of the ocean when he's supporting you in whatever goal you've set for yourself.

I feel like he'd also be able to properly appreciate your kindness without taking it for granted by working to reciprocate it. He also has enough mischief in him to keep things fun.

Basically I can count on him to take care of you. Not to say you can't take care of yourself: just that he will lighten the burdens of life not add to them.

Cyno was another option I considered when I thought about it. He's a really thoughtful and caring guy. The fact he started telling jokes just to be less intimidating and more approachable shows just how sensitive he is.

I like the idea of him being very attentive. One thing I can also imagine is him never belittling anyone's interests - unless someone's interest is objectively bad (think illegal things that are harmful to other people). They may not be for him, but he'll appreciate that you like them.

I remember seeing somewhere that Cyno was potentially neurodivergent, and I remember seeing somewhere else that neurodivergent people did this thing of...it had something to do with penguins, where they collect things that made them think of you. I can see him doing that.

Again another guy I can trust to treat you well.

Jing Yuan was the default because I read your fanfic and my brain by default associated the two of your together

While I haven't seen Windbreaker, I remember you posting a lot about Umemiya Hajime (he's the white-haired cutie right?) and my brain went: what about that guy too.

These four are now in competition for your hand, this is what my brain has decided.

Thoma is... perfect. Perfect house husband. He cooks, he cleans, he fricken' knits! He's an animal lover. I love him so much, but he needs to take a break at times. I want to take him on a picnic where I'm in charge of the food and drinks. He gets to sit and enjoy the view.

And Cyno! My snarky baby. Short king. I want to hide his headpiece though. Give me access to that fluffy hair. He needs to find someone else to play cards with tho, I only play Go Fish 😒

Speaking of fluffy hair, Jing Yuan! He'd better be bringing Mimi to the house or I'm rioting. Wait... can we teach him Cyno's card game and teach Cyno star chess and then they can play with each other and I'll be free? This is my harem so I'm saying yes we can!

And Umemiya's bringing up the rear (And YES! He's the white-haired cutie who I've been obsessed with lately! I'm so happy you picked him despite not knowing him!) Guess Thoma gets to focus on the house since Ume will be taking care of the garden. And they can take turns cooking. Fresh veggies for dinner, yuuum 🤤

What am I doing in the house, you ask? I'm their ray of sunshine cheerleader , it's a full-time job!
