RR s RCB : IPL 2024 Eliminator Expected Lineup Live Toss, 100% Prediction & Which Team Will Win?
The following is a look at the Playing XI predictions, head-to-head statistics, venue records, pitch, and weather updates for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 Eliminator match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Tumblr media
Match Preview
A match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers is taking place today in Bengaluru. On Wednesday, a crucial Indian Premier League eliminator will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The match will be between the high-flying Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), captained by Faf du Plessis, and the Rajasthan Royals, who are battling under the leadership of Sanju Samson.
At one point, it seemed as if the Royals were going to finish in first place in the league stage. However, after suffering a series of four losses and a washout in their last match against KKR, Sanju Samson's team ended up in third place, with Sunrisers Hyderabad being the team that finished ahead of them. In contrast, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has clawed its way back from the verge of elimination in a remarkable manner. Following a string of seven consecutive defeats in their first eight matches of the season, the team captained by Faf du Plessis went on an incredible run, and only a few nights ago, they eventually defeated the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings, to secure a spot in the playoffs.
RR vs RCB: Pitch Report
Narendra Modi Stadium's surface is fair and equal, designed to accommodate the abilities of all different kinds of players. There is a possibility that the wicket could begin to show signs of wear as the season comes to a close, which may provide the spinners with a little extra help.

Congratulations to Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava on becoming Chairman of the Bitumen India Forum.
“American roads are not good because America is rich, but America is rich because American roads are good," US President John F Kennedy once said.
How true it is getting for India!
The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), a London-based consultancy, predicted that India will be a USD 10 trillion economy by 2035 and the third-largest economic power by 2030. However, many expect it may be achieved earlier due to a likely higher growth rate than the study indicated. One of the reasons for this outstanding growth is the phenomenal growth in Infrastructure, especially Roads & highways.
Tumblr media
Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, Ex-NHAI and Road Safety Ambassador of the International Road Federation(IC), WEF and many international/national organisations, have been appointed as the Chairman of the Bitumen Indian Forum by the members. Mr Akhilesh Srivastava is a globally known digital technology leader with vast experience in successfully implementing many e-Governance programs in India, including FASTag. His recently launched technology-based next-gen Road Safety 2.0 initiative, which encourages the adoption of technology in road safety to compensate for human and engineering limitations, is a highly successful model in India.
Thanking everyone for trusting him with the coveted responsibility, Mr Akhilesh Srivastava said that Bitumen remains a primary material frequently used in road construction due to its excellent qualities and benefits over other materials. The annual consumption of Bitumen in India is approximately 8 MT (million tons), which should increase as India has the world’s 2nd largest road network after the USA. Still, its Bitumen consumption is relatively low compared to other countries. The current annual consumption of Bitumen in India is approximately 8 MT, which has the potential to double by 2030.
Bitumen, a by-product of crude oil, is known for its adhesive and waterproofing abilities. More than 250 uses exist for this substance today, including paving roads, roofing, waterproofing, sealing, and insulating. In addition, it enables the design and engineering of asphalt-based streets, runways, motorways, highways, coastal protection, canal linings, driveways, airport, reservoirs, footpaths, cycle paths, parking areas, and sports and sports play areas.
The infrastructure development programs initiated by the Government of India, such as the Bharatmala project, Golden quadrangle project, construction of various industrial and economic corridors like the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Bengaluru-Mumbai Economic Corridor, Chennai-Bengaluru Economic Corridor, Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor, and Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor for the construction of highways and express ways drive the demand for Bitumen to unprecedented levels. In addition, the Government initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which includes the provision of good all-weather road connectivity to unconnected villages of the country are driving market growth further.
Moreover, bitumen is widely used to waterproof the roof of the building. Therefore, government initiatives such as the “Smart City Mission” and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), including building houses in urban and rural areas, boost the Bitumen market growth. The significant development in the Indian construction industry and industrial development across the country will drive the growth of the bitumen industry in the coming years.
According to a report published by Allied Market Research, the Indian Bitumen market is projected to cross Rs 50,000 Crores by 2026 and add allied services such as transportation, storage, testing and quality checks etc., the market size of Bitumen will be much more significant.
However, growing health & environmental concerns over the production and usage of bitumen, human health & environmental issues associated with bitumen, unsettled crude oil prices, and a rise in the use of an alternative for bitumen are expected to restrain the growth of the market too. Moreover, the development of bio-based bitumen and EME (Enrobés á Module Elevé) binder is expected to provide growth opportunities for the Indian bitumen market in the near future.
While talking to the correspondents, Mr Akhilesh Srivastava said that his primary focus would be ensuring the availability of the best quality Bitumen for infra development. For this, he would work with Manufacturers, Oil PSUs, Customers, Importers, Traders, Transporters, Road Developers, Government and Regulatory bodies and other stakeholders in the ecosystem to develop the best practices and a cohesive environment.
His other priorities will include enhancing the reputation & awareness of the Bitumen Industry, identifying the problems of the Industry and bringing them to the knowledge of people who can solve them.
He said the Forum would serve as a facilitator for Innovations in the Bitumen Industry, bringing the best global technologies and practices to India and vice-versa. The Forum should be a knowledge-sharing platform for any Bitumen-related topics, research & innovations and update the industry with upcoming trends. He expressed his concern for the environment and said he would encourage innovation in Green Bitumen.
Being a reputed Road Safety leader, Mr Akhilesh Srivastava said he would focus on improving the safety of Bitumen Industry workers by training and skilling them with the best industry practices.

TODAY'S TRENDING ENVIRONMENT NEWS INDIA
SALINITY, RECHARGE ISSUES AND EXTRACTION HAVE SPELT DOOM IN GOTHRA AND KHANPUR KHURD: HARYANA
Gothra village is located in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana’s newest district on the state’s border with Rajasthan. It looks like any other dusty village in north India. Except that it is suffering extreme water shortages which, if not controlled, will soon make the village a desert.
Tumblr media
The village has fallen prey to excessive salinity in its groundwater, caused by lack of recharge due to decreasing rainfall and consequent extreme groundwater extraction. All this has led to the village being caught in a vicious cycle which is now so bad that it neither has potable drinking water nor water for its crops .Gothra is in the ‘over-exploited’ category as far as groundwater is concerned, according to the Central Ground Water Authority. This means that more groundwater is being drained out than necessary.
The groundwater in Gothra continues to fall, according to the Haryana Water Resources (conservation, regulation, management) Authority. Sweet water was found at a depth of 82 feet (25 metres) in 2010. But today, water is available in this village at 118 feet. The situation is so bad that farmers in the village have a choice: Grow crops with saline water or not grow them at all.

Information about the killing of a leopard by criminals and attempts to sell its skin was first received by the WCCB unit in Madhya Pradesh. It is suspected that the animal was of 10 years of age and shot dead in the Similipal National Park around 15-20 days back, Prusty said.

OVER 30% INDIAN DISTRICTS VULNERABLE TO EXTREME FOREST FIRES: STUDY
More than 30% of Indian districts are vulnerable to extreme forest fires, said a study released on Thursday, warning such wildfires have risen by over 10 times in the last two decades.
Tumblr media
The study conducted by the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), highlighted that in the last month alone, significant forest fires were reported in states like Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The CEEW study also found that Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Maharashtra are the most prone to high-intensity forest fire events caused by rapid change in the climate.
The study also found that over the last two decades, more than 89 per cent of total forest fire incidents have been recorded in districts that are traditionally drought-prone or have been witnessing weather swapping trends i.e., flood-prone areas turning drought-prone and vice-versa.

In A Week Of Heavy Rain In Bengaluru, 1 Dead, Trees Uprooted, Power Cuts

Electricity supply has also been hit, with trees and branches bringing down power lines.
Bengaluru:
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds have been reported in Bengaluru for over a week now, bringing down temperature in the city. But these incessant rains have also wreaked havoc across the state capital, uprooting trees, damaging vehicles and power cuts in many areas. One woman died earlier this week after items from a construction site fell on her following heavy winds.
From last Sunday, Bengaluru has been witnessing rain with thunder and lightning seen everyday in many parts of the city.
The Karnataka State Disaster Management has predicted light to moderate rains accompanied with thundershowers for today.

Yelahanka received 72.5 mm of rain in the 24 hours till Saturday morning.
The city corporation has been receiving hundreds of complaints about fallen trees and has been working to clear the fallen vegetation from last Sunday.
Inspected damage caused by continuous rain from this evening. Fallen trees are being cleared on Dr Rajkumar Road off Subramanyapura & surrounding areas.#BBMP#BangaloreRains#Bengaluru@CMofKarnataka@[email protected]/XhjYb3PGlK

Electricity supply has also been hit, with trees and branches bringing down power lines and poles as they fell. The electricity board, BESCOM, also deliberately cut power in many areas while repairs were on. As a result, many part of the IT capital of the country were without power supply for hours.
The monsoon is expected to hit Kerala very soon and will then make its way to neighbouring Karnataka.
The weather department has also issued warnings about rainfall due to a depression over the Arabian Sea that will have an impact on Lakshadweep, Kerala and coastal Karnataka.

The World is (Still) Better Than You Think
Your mindset matters — now more than ever.
We are in the midst of a drug epidemic. The drug? Negative news. The drug pushers? The media. As I wrote in Abundance: The Future is Better Than You Think, we pay 10x more attention to negative news than positive news. We are being barraged with negative news on every device. This constant onslaught distorts your perspective on the future, and inhibits your ability to make a positive impact. In this blog, I’ll share new “evidence for abundance” -- charts and data that show the world is getting better. I’ll also share positive news and technological breakthroughs, all of which occurred in 2017 so far. Note: This isn’t about ignoring or minimizing the major issues we still face around the world. It’s about countering our romanticized views of the world in centuries past with data. My hope is that you’re able to see the world as it is — a world that is still getting better. My goal here is to help you protect your abundance mindset despite this barrage of negative news. If you have a negative-minded person in your life, forward this blog to them so they can look at the actual data. Let’s dive in...
1. Global Economy
The first area to explore is our global economy. Over the last 200 years, the world’s GDP has *skyrocketed* 100-fold. Humankind has never been more prosperous and productive.
World GDP Over the Last Two Millennia
The graph above depicts the economic output per person around the world over the last 2,000 years. Here we see exponential growth independent of war, famine or disease.
Technology drove much of this economic growth, and there’s no signs of slowing. Banking the Unbanked: One especially promising area of economic growth involves empowering the “unbanked” — the 2 billion people worldwide who lack access to a bank account or financial institution via a digital device. In September 2017, the government of Finland announced a partnership with MONI to create a digital money system for refugees.
The system effectively eliminates some of the logistical barriers to financial transactions, enabling displaced people to participate in the economy and rebuild their lives.
Refugees will be able to loan money to friends, receive paychecks and access funds using prepaid debit cards linked to digital identities on the blockchain -- without a bank.
Blockchain & Government: Governments are investing aggressively in digitization themselves. The small country of Estonia, for example, already has an e-Residency program. The digital citizenship lets residents get government services and even start companies in the EU without ever traveling or living there. In late August 2017, Kaspar Korjus, who heads up that e-Residency program, revealed the Estonian government’s exploration of creating an initial coin offering (ICO) and issuing crypto tokens to citizens to raise government funds. That same month, the Chinese government announced its intent to use blockchain technology for collecting taxes and issuing invoices. This builds on previous experiments China’s central bank is conducting with its own cryptocurrency.
2. Health
No matter where in the world you are, mortality rates have dropped precipitously over the last 300 years.
The following chart shows life expectancy at birth in various countries. Just 100 years ago, a child born in India or South Korea was only expected to live to 23. Fast forward to today, and India’s life expectancy has tripled. South Korea’s life expectancy has quadrupled, and now is higher than in the U.K.
Global Life Expectancy
Plummeting Teen Births: Another measure of a nation’s health is how it responds to preventable public health issues. Here in the U.S., teen births are down an impressive 51 percent over the last decade, going from from 41.5 births per 1,000 teenage girls in 2007 to 20.3 births per 1,000 teenage girls in 2016. I share the following graph because, by the numbers, teen girls who have babies will have a harder life than their peers who delay motherhood. As the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services notes, they’re more likely to drop out of high school, rely on public assistance, and have children with “poorer educational, behavioral and health outcomes over the course of their life than kids born to older parents.”
Since these statistics were first compiled in 1991, teen births have dropped 67 percent.
U.S. Birth Rates, by Age Group (1991 - 2015)
As exponential technologies continue to advance, we’ll see even more healthcare breakthroughs. Here’s a sampling from this year: Exponential Tech Impact on Health: Most exciting these days is the tremendous impact that exponential technologies are having on Health.
Robotics: Last month, a robot dentist in China successfully implanted 3D-printed teeth into a female patient’s mouth with “high precision.” The only human medical staff involvement was to conduct light setup and a pre-test. Imagine when such robots are in every healthcare facility on the planet, delivering service for the cost of electricity.
Virtual Reality: VR is also entering the operating room. In July 2017, University of Minnesota doctors used VR to prepare for a challenging non-routine surgery -- separating a pair of twins conjoined at the heart. Not only was the life-saving surgery a success, the VR prep gave doctors unforeseen insights that prompted them to accelerate the surgery by several months. It won’t be long until we refuse to have surgery completed by any human who hasn’t prepared in virtual reality using a personalized 3D model.
CRISPR/Gene Editing: Finally, in August 2017, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first-ever treatment that uses gene editing to transform a patient’s own cells into a “living drug.” Kymriah, a one-time treatment made by Novartis, was approved to treat B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia -- an aggressive form of leukemia that the FDA calls “devastating and deadly.” The FDA is currently considering over 550 additional experimental gene therapies. What happens to our healthy human lifespan as these life-saving treatments demonetize and become universally accessible?
3. Environment
Thirty years ago, the world signed the Montreal Protocol to prevent the depletion of the Ozone Layer. Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) credits that agreement with preventing an estimated 280 million additional cases of skin cancer, 45 million cataracts, and 1.5 million skin cancer deaths between its signing in 1987 and the year 2050. Without the Montreal Protocol, the planet would have been about 4 degrees warmer by 2050 (...resulting in more extreme weather events like droughts, floods and hurricanes). As the graph below clearly depicts, the global annual death rate from natural disasters has plummeted over the past century.
Global Annual Death Rate From Natural Disasters
Why has this happened?  It’s the impact of exponential technologies (satellites, sensors, networks, machine learning), which enable humans to better image, predict and model disasters. These models provide early warning systems, enabling citizens to flee to safety and for first responders to send supplies and food to remote areas in time. Drones & the Environment: Previously, animals were counted manually by researchers who had to spot them from helicopter or prepositioned camera footage. Now, a drone captures footage, the machine learning system counts different types of animals, and human volunteers help train the algorithm by verifying detections. Faster, cheaper, easier, and more accurate. And in Bengaluru, researchers at the Indian Institute of Science are fighting deforestation with camera-equipped drones that drop seeds in areas they otherwise wouldn’t be able to explore. Their goal is to seed 10,000 acres in the region. What becomes possible when thousands of teams — not simply individuals and a handful of research teams — leverage these tools to protect the environment?
4. Energy
A key measure of economic growth, living standards and poverty alleviation is access to electricity. This graph uses data from the World Bank and the International Energy Agency’s definition of electricity access, which is delivery and use of at least 250 kilowatt-hours per year in rural households and 500 kilowatt-hours per year in rural households. Simply put, more people around the world have access to electricity than ever, and the absolute number of those without access to electricity is dropping (despite population growth). Take a look at the chart below to see how various regions of the world are meeting their energy needs.
Share of the Population With Access to Electricity
As you see above, India has gone from 45 percent access to electricity in 1990 to nearly 80 percent in 2014.
Afghanistan has seen an even more dramatic improvement, going from 0.16 percent of the population in 2000 to 89.5 percent of the population in 2014.
As renewable energy sources become cheaper and more accessible, we’ll reach total electrification.
Here too, we’re making great progress. In 2016, solar power grew faster than any other fuel source for the first time ever. Around the world, solar prices are still dropping. The latest forecast from GTM Research reports prices of $2.07 per watt in Japan to $.65 per watt in India, with prices dropping across hard and soft costs.
Historical and Forecasted Utility PV System Pricing, 2013 - 2022E
In 2017 alone, we saw wind power become cheaper than nuclear in the U.K., with the cost of subsidies slashed in half since 2015. As the BBC reports, during the U.K.’s 2015 subsidy auction, “offshore wind farm projects won subsidies between £114 and £120 per megawatt hour.” Just two years later, two firms committed to a guaranteed price of £57.50 per megawatt hour. Looking stateside, the U.S. Department of Energy announced in September 2017 that utility-scale solar has officially hit its 2020 cost targets three years early — with generation costs of $1 per watt and energy consumption costs of $0.06 per kilowatt-hour.
US Commercial & Residential Solar Costs
5. Food
Despite the headlines, we’re making steady progress in the realm of food scarcity and hunger. This graph features World Bank data on the percentage of the population that has an inadequate caloric intake. Globally, 18.6 percent of the population was undernourished in 1991; by 2015, it dropped to 10.8 percent.
Prevalence of Undernourishment in Developing Countries
Time and again, technology is making scarce resources abundant. I’ve written about bioprinted meat, genetically engineered crops, vertical farming, and agriculture robots and drones. Two more examples from 2017 so far:
Human-Free Farms: In a 1.5-acre remote farm in the U.K., Harper Adams University and Precision Decisions recently harvested their first crop of barley. The twist? The farm is run autonomously. Instead of human farm workers, Hands Free Hectare uses autonomous vehicles, machine learning algorithms and drones to plant, tend and harvest.
Food From Electricity: Another big idea in the fight against food scarcity and undernourishment comes out of Finland, where researchers are creating food from electricity. The team, formed of researchers from the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, have created a machine that runs on renewable energy to produce nutritious, single-cell proteins. The system is deployable in a variety of environments hostile to traditional agriculture, and future iterations will be able to produce food anywhere, from famine-stricken deserts to space.
Looking at the data, we truly live in the most exciting time to be alive.
And if your mindset enables you to see problems as opportunities, the future is even more exciting than the present.

India go unchanged into the thrilling encounter.  India vs Australia Live Updates and Score: 13:35 hrs IST

The National Anthems for both the countries are done, players are out on the field and we will have the match underway in about a minute. 13:22 hrs IST
Eyes on Bumrah
Not the best of start for Jasprit Bumrah with the new ball. He will be interested to get a wicket or two here with the new ball. 13:12 hrs IST
Early stats attack
Here are some interesting nuggets for you: - 4th consecutive toss won by Australia in ODIs — 3 out of 4 in this series. · 3rd consecutive toss won by Australia at Bengaluru in ODIs — all 3 different captains (Finch in 2020, Smith in 2017 and Bailey in 2013). · 3rd consecutive toss won by Australia against India in ODIs — all in this series. · 4th consecutive toss won by Australia in India in ODIs. · 3rd consecutive toss lost by Virat Kohli in ODIs — all 3 in this series. · 4th consecutive toss lost by Virat Kohli across formats in international cricket. · Team batting first have won 11 and lost 11 out of 25 ODIs at Bengaluru (1 tied and 2 no result). 13:05 hrs IST
Team News
India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Lokesh Rahul(w), Manish Pandey, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah Australia (Playing XI): David Warner, Aaron Finch(c), Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey(w), Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa 13:05 hrs IST
Kohli speaks
Kohli: “It’s a dry pitch, we wanted to chase too. It’s been a difficult ground to defend on. We need to put pressure on the batsmen and keep the total in check. I think against a side like Australia we would take that kind of victory any day. We could have restricted them a little more towards the end, but at 275/9, it was done and dusted. KL’s innings was the game-changer and today we’re looking for similar contributions.” 13:03 hrs IST
Finch speaks
Aaron Finch: “We’re going to bat first. Hopefully we can post a good score and defend it later. It’s based on conditions and history. Hopefully we can get some early wickets defending and get into the Indian middle order. It looks like a bloody good wicket, and it will play good for a hundred overs. We were just one wicket too far down in the last game, but credit to India, they played really well. Hazlewood in for Richardson.” 13:00 hrs IST
Toss
Australia captain Aaron Finch win the toss and elect to bat. 12:57 hrs IST
Pitch Report
“It’s a slightly dry pitch, some minor cracks, but the dryness is really the feature of this pitch. This pitch will have a lot in it for the wristspinners, there will be a lot more grip even for the finger-spinner. The mindset that says chase might change - they need to put scoreboard pressure and pile it on the chasing team. Rohit got a double-hundred a few years ago, so maybe that’ll play on the toss-winning captain’s mind.” - Sunil Gavaskar and Sanjay Manjrekar 12:54 hrs IST
Weather Report
It is bright and sunny out there. Slightly hazy, but no signs of rainfall, at the moment. There will be dew in the evening which would be crucial for the toss. 12:52 hrs IST
Toss in 10 minutes
We will have toss in 10 minutes. Stay tuned for pitch report and live action. This is me Karan, and I will take you through the proceedings for the first half of the day. 12:30 hrs IST
Hello and welcome
Hello and Welcome to our live blog on the 3rd ODI between India and Australia. The series is on the line here and both the skippers Virat Kohli and Aaron Finch will be eager to go for the title. India will be relying on their strong top order, while the Aussies too have too much firepower in their batting line-up. A high scoring thriller could be on the cards at Chinnaswamy Stadium. How to Optimize for voice search in 2018- 2019| Voice Search SEO
Tumblr media
Every day, around us we hear people asking their phones for help … OK Google, where is the nearest Vegetarian Restaurant? OK Google, how can I reach the airport in the quickest possible time? We have many similar platforms helping us find the information we are looking for including Siri, Cortana, Skyvi (Siri like assistant), Robin, Jarvis., Dragon mobile assistant, and alike. Smart Voice Assistant and new ones are coming up and also are here to stay.
In short, with advancement of mobile technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Voice search is HUGE right now and it’s only becoming more popular day by day. It is not incorrect to say that we are in the middle of a voice search revolution. The recent statistics and data display the growth of the number of users of voice as a technology and also the various trends that have added to the convenience of everyday tasks of life and work in today’s tech times.
Voice search has grown 35x since 2008 (KCBP) and 25% of the popular Windows 10 desktop searches are done via voice.  As per a Google survey, 41% of adults and 55% of teens use it daily and another facet being that 20% of all Google mobile queries are voice searches. However, as widely believed it has transcended mobile devices as well and people are talking to their desktop computers and smart speakers. Very soon smart speakers will be a norm and according to predictions by 2020, 50% of searches will be voice and soon keyboard based search will be a thing of the past. Searching by your voice is 3.7 times faster than typing. So it’s a simple equation; faster searches translate to faster answers.
How do we optimize content for SEO in voice search?
Because it is so convenient, it is being used more often and in more places than ever before. Google reports that “near me now: searches have grown by 150% over the last two years. With advancements voice recognition technology is only getting better day by day and search engine technology mainly of Google is now 95% accurate. Yet, for SEO professionals it’s a challenge as not much has changed in the way content is optimized for this new way. The timing hence is perfect to pay more attention and focus on voice chat and start implementing and incorporating SEO strategies that can increase chances to show up in voice results. With the availability of its features and personal voice assistants like Siri, Cortana, Google Assistant, Google Home, Amazon Echo and the Apple HomePod, people have now started migrating to have voice search and there is a paradigm shift in how how people search. Instead of cryptic text based searches like “hair stylist Bengaluru,” those using voice search can ask a question as if it’s a conversation or just like talking to another person: “OK, Google, where should I go to get a haircut?”
If you through voice search, you can hear your personalized “flash briefing” with information on local weather forecast, local news highlights, what’s on your calendar and other quick tidbits of things Siri knows you are interested in. This is a great time saver in the times we live. Convenience and time saver can be the best excuse to shift to voice search.
The market is flooded with search assistants like Amazon Echo (Alexa), Apple’s HomePod and Google Home devices with new players entering the fray everyday. The new Harman Kardon Invoke smart speaker includes Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana to answer questions and manage smart home technology to streamline tasks and operations. Soon there will be more profusion of such devices. According to reports on ZDNet, Alexa will be added to personal computers (PCs) and laptops from Acer, Asus and Hewlett Packard (HP) making it a significant challenger to Cortana.
Half of smartphone users use voice technology, and of those, one in three use it daily as per ComScore. As an SEO, one needs to have a solid understanding of some of the search strategies that can help in ranking up. With a thorough understanding of these strategies and effectively using them on your site, one can increase the odds of being the answer to a question.
Some basics of voice search:
When you’re optimizing for voice search, you need to think about SEO differently. Unlike typical search queries on a computer, these queries are longer than their text counterparts; they tend to be three to five (or more) keywords in length. Hence it’s imperative one change the way you do keyword research and think about longer long-tail keywords. Search queries tend to specifically ask a question and use trigger words like who, how, what, where, best, where, why and when. Use these words in your content. Additionally, you need to make sure your site and its content meet SEO best practices.
Voice search best practices:
Create Voice Search FAQ Pages: This because question keywords are on the rise and Google wants to give their users 30 plus word answers. Voice search results are also 1.7 times more likely to come from an FAQ page compared to desktop results. FAQ pages can rank for hundreds to thousands of different queries. Voice searches are more natural and less robotic than keyboard searches and they are significantly longer than keyboard searches. But that doesn’t mean you want to create 1000 pages optimized around 1000 different voice search terms. In fact, one of the most surprising findings from the study was that less than 2% of all results had the exact keyword in their title tag. The bottom line is to write content with natural language and embed lots of long tail keywords in your content. In this way a single page can rank for lots of different voice search queries.
Optimize website loading speed: It has also been noticed that websites that come with swift loading abilities have a lead in Google Voice search results. Interestingly, voice search fetches quicker results which mean your answers will be delivered in lesser time. With the launch of Speed Update by Google, you can now have a clearer picture of how your website can increase the ranking in the search engine and also know more about its indexing. It may be possible that search engines use such applications to include in their algorithms that might affect your website ranking. Thus, you must be ensured that the website loads ASAP.
Get Mobile Optimized: Ensure that the website is always mobile friendly. Since most of the users use smart phones, this stands as one of the crucial elements. Voice is perfect and easy for mobile searches. As per data 60% of mobile searchers ‘at some point in time’ use a voice search. It is more convenient as one doesn’t have to type and its biggest benefit lies in the reality that it makes space for multi-tasking.
Use structured data: This might help in normal searches but maybe not too apt for voice search. It was discovered that using Schema does not significantly contribute to this factor but might improve the search visibility in the overall sense.
Great content that answers audience questions:  This is where content comes into full focus. Using natural language that is conversational might prove to be a sensible approach. Also, if the content is shared considerably it automatically leverages the quotient. Though social media sharing is not a factor used for ranking, it only boosts the stand of the website find rate. A recent study shows that Google tends to answer voice search queries with 29-word results. So, it is important that your content answers someone’s query in 30 words or less. In such a scenario it doesn’t make sense to write a 30-word blog post. An interesting trend that is noticed is the fact that voice changes how people search. Firstly, we notice that the searches are longer and the searches are more conversational. However, you should include short, concise answers in your content.
Build link authority: It is a known fact that backlinks are considered to be a key element for a search engine while ranking a page. However, it is drawn that for voice search this really does not impact much. As Google has to give away impeccable information it might depend only on domain authority over page authority. This means that Google will show a trusted website than decoding the links that might be useful but that need more time to be analyzed. This means that your website must be SSL certified that ensures Google about the authority of the website.
Apart from this the factors such as using Alt text and tags for images, making presence through online snippets, easy navigation, strong site hierarchy, reviews and responses can fuel the SEO aspect. As a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist, are you prepared to get your content to show up in voice search results? If yes, then start optimizing your content for voice.

ICMR expands testing criterion Day after announcing the 1,000th COVID-19 testing laboratory in the country, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Wednesday said that "access to testing still remains a huge challenge in a large country like India". "There is a definite need to increase the outreach of testing by introducing rapid point of care diagnostic tests," the ICMR noted in its advisory issued late on Tuesday. Expanding the testing criterion for coronavirus, the ICMR said it should be made widely available to all symptomatic individuals across the country. "Since test, track and treat' is the only way to prevent the spread of the infection and save lives, it's imperative that testing should be made widely available to all symptomatic individuals in every part of the country and contact tracing mechanisms for containment of infection are further strengthened," it said in an advisory on 'Newer Additional Strategies for COVID-19 Testing' . The apex health research body has also advised authorities to enable all government and private hospitals, offices and public sector units to perform antibody-based COVID-19 testing for surveillance to help allay fears and anxiety of healthcare workers and office employees. The earlier advisories on rapid antibody testing focused only on testing in clusters (containment zones), large migration gatherings/evacuees centers and testing of symptomatic ILI individuals at facility level. Besides, the ICMR also recommended deployment of rapid antigen detection tests for COVID-19 in combination with RT-PCR tests in all containment zones, all central and state government medical colleges and government hospitals, all private hospitals approved by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare (NABH), all NABL-accredited and ICMR approved private labs, for COVID-19 testing. "ICMR advises all state governments, public and private institutions concerned to take required steps to scale up testing for COVID-19 by deploying combination of various tests as advised," the advisory added.
