🌟I'm incredibly proud to announce that the Art of Amphibia will be available for purchase on November 17th this year, wherever books are sold🌟
This beautiful hardbound book will contain 224 pages full of carefully curated artwork from all three seasons. We're talking never before seen conceptual sketches, storyboards, paintings, written testimonials from the crew and much, much more. I'm so grateful to TOKYO POP for continuing to partner with us to get these Amphibia books made. This one in particular is a dream come true - artwork for animated TV shows like ours is too often left forever archived, never to be enjoyed or treasured.
Please look forward to the book. The team working on it is the same as Marcy's Journal so you KNOW it's gonna be good. --- Matt Braly

Reorganized a bit today, both this area and my wall mounted shelves. It’s dark out so this is the best photo I will take for now, but on the next sunny day I do want to get some nicer updated photos 😊

Was lucky enough to see the 4k restoration of Tokyo Pop, my first movie in a movie theater since March 2020. (Last movie I saw before COVID was Parasite with a Q&A with the director and lead male, so my bar is high.) It's a gem, go see it if you can.
Carrie Hamilton was a star on her way, such a shame.
She's credited with writing and composing Tokyo Pop's end credits song, a real rockstar.

Tokyo Pop (1988)
The names behind the production & restoration of the international 80s punk romcom Tokyo Pop can be a little jarring at first, but you quickly get used to it. Kino Lorber’s recent Blu-ray release of the movie states that its restoration was made possible by the Jane Fonda Fund for Women Directors. I did not previously know that fund existed, but it does track with Fonda’s keen, career-long…
