Gotta love continuity issues in shows

I'm watching Veronica Mars S3 and Logan mentions his grandfather as being "the only decent person in his family" (presumably just on the Echolls side) but in S1 we actually get Aaron mention as he's beating the shit out of Trina's boyfriend that his father was an abusive man. So either Logan doesn't know that because, as he says, the man died when he was five or the more likely the writing team forgot about that little moment

I'm gonna do the top 5 Logan moments (although they're more like quotes and parts of Logan that I LOVE) AND THEN I will do the rest via reblog (because I need to carefully consider my responses). By the way, I'm only doing seasons 1 and 2 because they're the best:

1 "I thought our story was epic, you know, you and me. Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined, bloodshed. Epic."

Obviously, one of the PEAK LoVe moments on the show - I was SO MAD at Veronica for running away from this. This was Logan at his most vulnerable.

2 "I'm sure I'll thoroughly enjoy them. Right up until my oesophagus closes up and cuts off my air supply and I shuffle off this mortal coil."

Aaron was absolutely responsible for Logan's trauma and I loved these moments where Logan let him have it (see also: "When is my birthday? Wow. You got a letter right.")

3 "Well first, I'd just like to say the other, uh, nominees are all such wonderfully gifted criminals. And I wanna thank my agent and my publicist for always shooting me from the left side."

Classic bad boy Logan humour - even when he's being locked up. I love that Logan's hatred of Don Lamb is equal to Keith's, Veronica's, Weevil/the PCHer's...even though he is a rich white boy.

4 "But if you're coming home, who will play dead hooker 2 on CSI next week?!"

He's so damn witty and sharp, and some of his best lines are when he's sparring with Trina (see also: "I just can't get him off my back"/"Did you try standing up?").

5 "You're not a killer, Veronica."

I mean I've literally adapted this line so I think it's obvious why I love it. Veronica is the main character she ABSOLUTELY needs no man - but I love the moments when Logan steps in as the voice of reason or helps hold her together.

the way they built up the reveal to aaron echolls being the murderer at the end of season 1 is so so good, because like in 1x19 you see how he has the capability for extreme violence when he beats up trina’s boyfriend, but then in 1x20 you forget about it because suddenly he’s being a good dad, and helping veronica out, and it’s just kind of like oh ok the only villainous aspect he has in him is his shitty abilities as a dad and the way he treats logan, and even then you find out in 1x19 it’s because of his childhood, so it’s not exactly excused but it has a reason. and then !! you realise oh no he’s actually just a sociopath and it fits together and it seems so obvious that he was dodgy all along but you just kind of let it go but then you feel so stupid for letting it go because it was right there and it’s obvious veronica is feeling exactly the same

Veronica’s mouth drops open, and then quickly, as she turns away, it turns straight into a grin. Angie was the only one still with a chance of beating her out for that scholarship. Sure, the girl can pay her way into Stanford anyway, but if she’s failed, that means Veronica’s golden. A full ride to Stanford is right around the corner, and she can leave Neptune in the dust without a care.

Canon divergence AU from S2E20 - Veronica doesn't get the text about the Echolls verdict right before her test, and she gets her scholarship to Stanford. The year at Hearst never happens, and a lot changes. From long-distance relationships to break-ups, breakdowns, new jobs and reunions - this fic is my alternate take on how things could've gone for LoVe, long-term. There will be sadness! But also a happy ending - there just has to be a lot of drama along the way. No one writes songs about the ones that come easy, right?

VMHQ Trina Week

Hel-LO, everyone! Trina Echolls here, star of stage and screen. 

You know, I love Veronica, so when she called me and practically begged for my help to host a extra special star character week here on VMHQ I just walked right off the incredibly glamorous set of Gigli 2 and raced to her aid. 

Well, I may have called her...and the director may have fired me...but that’s all just nasty details.

Anyway, now that I’m here, I can see why she wanted me. This whole blog thingy does seem a little...parvenu, but I’m glad to lend my helping hand to class up the whole affair. 

Let me tell you, it was ridiculously hard to find good press about me out there--my headshots are nowhere to be found on this tumblog and no one seems to want to talk about my incredibly complex and dynamic contributions to cinema history. If you want to change that, you can post meta, gifsets, paeans of adoration or, you know, whatever. Just make sure to tag them #vmhq trina week. Meanwhile, I’ll be firing my agent.
