Wukong carried the Eclipse Twins in the Spicynoodles Tangled AU, and this meme was too perfect to not draw.

Rumble/Rì Shí is the one with yellow ears, Savage/Yuè Shí is the one with purple ears. They are identical twins.

These are also the only kids this meme works with, because Macaque carried their first set of twins, and both of them look more like him than Wukong.

All their kids (so far) look more like him than Wukong, he's got the stronger genes I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's done! I'm so happy with it!

Macaque and Wukong are married, the kings of Flower Fruit Mountain (even though I used queen in the video his suitors do not treat him as though he is also the king), Wukong has to go off to war on behalf of the allies they made when they were young rulers of a newly flourishing kingdom, he's supposedly killed in the battle, and Macaque was expecting twin daughters and didn't know it when Wukong left. For extra ANGST, I am an angst-ivore

Everybody and their mother wants to take Macaque, both to get the title of king of Flower Fruit Mountain because it's a prosperous kingdom, and as a fuck you to Wukong because a lot of people don't like him, he's been keeping his suitors distracted as best he could but they have figured out he's lying and are threatening to use more violent ways of getting him to select a new King.

Mr. Snake-bitch-mommy-issues Xiangliu is his main suitor and takes the role of Antonius.

The two demon monkeys standing by the door are Marshal Ma(right) and Marshal Liu (left). Ma is albino that's why her eyes are pink and she's got stuff under her eyes, it's a charcoal smear to help her see.

I have a fanfic about this au in the work already, I think it'll be done before the end of the year, but I have minor surgery on the 26th so who knows what'll happen.

The cub with three ears is my OC Chao-Xing, the cub with one ear is this aus version of Bai He!

If you look close, you'll notice their ears aren't glowing, that wasn't a mistake, their ears not glowing means their dead.

The monkeys were fooling around doing ~stuff~, one thing leads to another and they got a pair of stone eggs on their hands.

They were excited, but Macaque decided it would be best to keep them hidden until the war was over. Only the stalwart generals and a few other monkey demons knew about them.

They hatched early due to the environmental stresses of FFM being attacked, Macaque left the battle to deal with the attack and was there when they hatched.

They were captured with him and quickly identified as the harbingers of chaos, their purpose is to cause a great change to the order of things, and the have the power to fix the pillar of heaven in case anything ever happens to it. Grandma Nuwa gave them that power in the egg.

Speaking of Snake Boi, he is the one who advised that the harbingers be destroyed to save the universe.

The Jade Emperor made Macaque kill his own children in front of Wukong. Their death scars are shape like crescent moons!

They were about a month old when they were killed.

Xiangliu "disposed" of the bodies. He had his own uses for them.

So there's still a resurrected six eared monkey running around and fucking with MK by the time of the show, she's just got much more valid reasons for her behavior because she got murdered when she didn't even do anything.

Bai He still gets possessed by LBD, that was not in the plan and Chao-Xing had to run damage control to manage the unforseen development.

They keep their identity concealed while dealing with MK and the crew, to them, they are just some snake demons who really don't like Wukong, and hate Macaque.

They do remember getting killed due to Xiangliu's interference even though they were a month old. He didn't let them remember any of Macaque being a good dad.

Is this horrific enough? :D

He gets Antinous's role and is the only suitor to get drawn in detail.

He's the smartest suitor Macaque has, he went for the kids so they would talk positively about him to Macaque, and he would "borrow" them from whatever they were doing to hang out and do stuff.

He is the only one who understands monkey flirting.

IRL macaques will "kidnap" babies and take care of them to get their parent's attention and show how good of a parent they are.

It did not help Macaque that this worked for a few hundred years until the kids wised up to it. It worked best with Macaque's daughters who never knew Wukong. MK really hates him for that.

Erlang's dog is gonna have fun wrecking him with Wukong when he gets back.

I'm using this art piece as the Masterpost for this au, so it's got something more fun on it!

AU Summary:

Wukong is an ex convict, he has a stand at the local market where he sells fruit and crafts he learned to make in rehab. Macaque is LBD's adopted son, a powerful and influential demoness, he works directly under her as her temporary heir.

They dated before Wukong was sent to prison, Macaque was forced to provide "evidence" of his crimes.

Wukong wants nothing to do with him, but his ex's kids take a liking to him and drag the pair back together. Macaque just wants to help Wukong get back on his feet, it's the least he could do after ruining his life.

LBD is less than pleased to see her least favorite monkey interacting with her son and grandchildren again.

They are normal demon monkeys, Macaque is a Lotus Eared Macaque, a species of monkey demon that has 2-6 lotus shaped ears.

Spicynoodles Baby

She's got adorable lil hooves and a cute little bull tail, well it looks like a bull's tail but functions more like a monkey tail. How? I dunno demon genetics are funky. And her ears are velvety soft!

Hooves and fire powers made it not a very fun pregnancy for MK (he's very glad when the next one is more monkey). The streaks are from when he died that one time, I'm probably gonna change their position and color.

I want so badly to do more drawings of her, I wanna draw her with her auntie Mei and her grandparents cause she's so tiny compared to DBK and her adopted grandparents and her ghost grandparent and the rest of her aunts, piblings and sometimes uncles(one of em is gender fluid)! And when she gets a sibling! I have so many cute family ideas! But I have other stuff I wanna draw too!

The woes of being an artist.

I don't have a name for her yet, I'm open to suggestions! And for her future sibling!

I'm hopefully gonna have the next chapter by Valentine's Day.

Rotten Fruit Character Profiles - Qi Xiaotian

The second oldest of the non-adopted kids, by half an hour, Xiaotian is the second of two children between Macaque and Xiuying. He was the twin LBD chose to keep and raise as her heir, until he failed to live up to her expectations.

Personality:

Xiaotian is pretty cheerful and upbeat despite everything he's been through, he's definitely not as peppy as his twin, but he's pretty alright all things considered.

He's got some self worth issues for sure, living with a woman who controls every aspect of your life and constantly tells you you aren't worthy and you are a failure is not good for one's mental health. He used to constantly be pushing his limits in the hopes that this time LBD would finally approve of him and give him the validation he was always deprived of.

After ~2 decades in therapy, he doesn't do that anymore, and he's become more okay with himself as he is, he doesn't try to be what he's not, and he's much happier now.

Does he still have a lot of insecurities about himself and his worth and place in the family? You bet!

Despite his best efforts, he finds himself envious of his twin, Chao-Xing is everything he isn’t, good at politics, a naturally clever schemer, and a better older sibling than he ever was and ever could be. Doesn't help that troop dynamics have their siblings going to her for things first and then him if she's not around.

His sister is so good at all these things and he hates it because why couldn't it have been him who was good at those things? Why couldn't LBD have chosen her! And he hates that he feels that way, because he doesn't wish the hell of his childhood on anyone.

He hates the feeling of resentment he gets anytime his siblings ask for her, or when she knows things about their younger siblings before he does, or when Chao-Xing is so much more proactive in protecting their family, and he hates that he feels just the slightest bit of something when he sees how much she hates her job.

He hates it because he loves his twin, she's really awesome and a good sister and she's never done anything bad to him, she's always tried to help him and make him happy, so why does he feel this way?

His relationship with Chao-Xing is one-sidedly complicated. These are feelings that do not leave the therapist’s office.

Aside from his very complicated feelings for his twin, he's really close with his family. He loves his siblings and all his parents and wants to protect them from bad things happening to them like what happened to him. He's very suspicious of anyone who enters his siblings’ lives.

He's very protective of his Baba, he had to spend his whole childhood seeing Macaque get dragged around and abused, either by LBD or the Mayor whenever Macaque was “misbehaving”, and the many nights spent on his own as the provider for his baby sister because LBD was lending his baba out to others.

He's also especially protective of Bai He, she was his first sister, and he's always got a soft spot for her. The Mayor didn't do anything for them so parenting was left to him when Macaque wasn't around. He's very proud of Bai He and everything she's doing.

He has a lot of worries and anxieties and things he tries to keep buried, but he is a good person who wants to make his family happy at the end of the day.

He's also the worst liar in the family, he's so bad at it, but at least he's pretty good at detecting lies, very useful for wrangling mischievous little siblings.

Baby Doesn't Like The Snow

Chao-Xing really does not like snow, or cold, she hates it more than anything else. She doesn't function too well in the cold either, her body thinks she's dying again.

Wukong has less warm clothes on because he runs very hot due to the furnace, light sweater and scarf is all he needs.

I'm trying to manifest a snow day, I live in an area with steep hills so class gets cancelled if there's too much ice or frost. But I want snow! The hills are great for sledding!

anyone got any tips on how to shade dark colors? I use a dark purple on a reduced opacity layer and that doesn't work to well with dark hair.
