King's Game Memes
It's for my lmk yandere Wukong au, Masterpost here
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MK and Chao-Xing are their kids, MK's trans and would've been called Yingyue at the time.
Wukong is fine, he's just jealous that Macaque is giving the cubs more attention than him. He's absolutely the type to be jealous of the babies he isn't really helping to take care of. I haven't gotten very far into the au yet, only got 2 chapters on Ao3 so far, but he is not a good dad at all.
Chao-Xing is my Shadowpeach kid oc from a different au that is (currently) much healthier

Shadowpeach AU, where Macaque was originally the guardian of the Immortal Peach Trees, and Wukong had to get past him in order to get an immortal peach...
But Past Wukong ISN'T as strong as Current Wukong, so Macaque keeps preventing him from getting a peach...
One day, Macaque mockingly bites a peach in front of Wukong...
Wukong suddenly has an idea; he kisses Macaque on the lips, to get the peach in Macaque's mouth...
Macaque was frozen, as Wukong smugly takes the peach from the stunned Macaque's hands...
But once Macaque unfreezes himself, he knocks Wukong out with a single punch...
Wukong wakes up, in love with Macaque! 😍
Oh fun!
The idea of a celestial realm dwelling macaque makes me think of @anxiescape's Celestial Bodies au, which is, in their own words, sleeping beauty with gay monkeys and war crimes, and their art is super pretty too! Their Macaque has galaxies in his fur!
As I was answering this, the idea of Macaque having been adopted by the Jade Emperor and Xiwangmu (Queen Mother of the West), popped into my head, so now the Jade Emperor's issue with Wukong isn't just that he's wrecking his shit, but he's flirting with his son and making a fool of him!
This idea just became a whole lot funnier.
This could have been a tragedy, it became a comedy. I might find a way to get some angst in here
Macaque works in the peach orchards with his sisters, sometimes the peach maidens are Xiwangmu's daughters, because he enjoys it and it's a natural habitat for a monkey like himself.
He was not expecting the new stable boy to be so brazenly bold as to kiss him, a celestial prince, as a ploy to steal from him! He punches Wukong in the face for it and hopes nobody saw that, it's so embarrassing.
Meanwhile Wukong is absolutely smitten with the guy who could knock him out like that and thinks he's super powerful and strong and pretty. So he keeps visiting Macaque specifically, he doesn't know that he's the Jade Emperor's adopted son, he just thinks he's pretty.
Macaque is super confused and annoyed, he's just trying to do what makes him happy and be a good son and this stupid cute monkey keeps getting in his way!
He confides in his big sister Iron Fan, she immediately clocks in that the other monkey has the hots for her little brother and is not a fan. She asks their cousin (Erlang) to keep an eye on Wukong just to make sure he doesn't do anything.
Erlang, who is also not a fan of this monkey with the hots for his cousin, completely understands.
So now Xiaotian Quǎn follows Wukong around whenever he's in heaven, giving his the upmost disapproving looks whenever he interacts with Macaque.
But then! Horror of horrors!
Macaque catches feelings for Wukong! And he wants to die, it's so embarrassing and unbecoming! And it'll never work out! Wukong isn't a celestial, and relationships between celestials and demons or mortals are forbidden!
Macaque is super easy to fluster now and any time Wukong shows up to talk with him he is a blushing mess and is not hiding his affections very well.
Luckily Wukong is as dense as the rock he hatched from, and doesn't get the hint.
Unfortunately, nobody else is and everyone thinks he's toying with the six eared prince's heart. This just makes the rest of Macaque's family like Wukong even less.
Wukong tells Macaque about his cool friends and how they are all about taking on the injustices of the heavens, (he hasn't done anything super destructive yet he's just been a nuisance).
Macaque challenges their ideas with the question of how they would fix it, and how much suffering their war would cause for the mortals, and does a former celestial like Azure really know better than the being who's spent millions of years keeping things balanced?
They are good questions.
Wukong is left doubting the brotherhood.
Man's gay crush is giving him second thoughts.
The Jade Emperor and Xiwangmu still don't really like Wukong because he's clearly got a thing for their son and they are protective parents to say the least.
Once Macaque admits his feelings to his family, and that he wants to date the most infamous"bad boy" in all three realms, well something like this happens:
Jade Emperor: Where do you think you're going, young man? Macaque: Wherever he'll take me. JE: I forbid you to go out with that hoodlum! Macaque: But Daddy, I love him! JE: Go to your room! Macaque: I don't even live here anymore! JE: Well, then, go to your old room that your mother turned into a scrapbooking room!
It's from a Looney toons episode, someone actually made a comic of a similar idea only LBD's the parent in that situation, it's so funny.
So Macaque is grounded now, JE and Xiwangmu have already lost at least two daughters to their lovers (their over reactions to the relationships are what really caused those tragedies but the royal couple doesn't want to admit that, @quitealotofsodapop has a lot more and better detailed ideas about this concept on their blog).
Good news for the brotherhood! Azure can turn this in their favor by making Wukong think the monkey he's in love with is being held prisoner by the Jade Emperor. He still doesn't know Macaque is his son, because macaque liked being around someone who didn't know that and never felt the need to tell him.
So Wukong is amped up to fight the Jade Emperor to rescue his crush/friend!
Meanwhile, Macaque is stuck in his room listening to the dumbass he fell head over heals in love with.
Will this end good? Bad? Who knows! Not even me!
I have ideas for a good and bad end, but I might put it to poll for the decision of what really happens.
Thanks for asking! This was a really fun one, hope you like it!

Shadowpeach Angst AU, where Macaque is worried about the future battle with heaven, and uses his Future Hearing + meditation to know all the possible futures (while Wukong + the Brotherhood watch him)...
Macaque hears NO possible future where they defeat Heaven... and in most possible futures, Macaque + Wukong lose their relationship... and in some futures, Wukong kills Macaque...
Macaque wakes up from his meditation screaming and traumatized + Wukong tries to comfort Macaque, but Macaque doesn't let Wukong touch him...
Macaque tells Wukong + the Brotherhood that there's NO future where they win, and then BEGS everyone to stop the battle against Heaven... (Macaque doesn't give them the details about Wukong's eventual betrayal)... But nobody listens, Wukong believes they can change the future...
But Macaque was so hurt + traumatized by Wukong possibly killing him, that when the Brotherhood was asleep... Macaque had left... Wukong was heartbroken, and Macaque hated himself for being a coward...
Macaque traveled the world in a disguise for years, then he meets Pigsy, and becomes MK's 'Mortal Uncle'...
When MK becomes Wukong's apprentice, Macaque gets nervous... While Wukong thinks that MK's 'Mortal Uncle' is oddly familiar... While Macaque wants to both protect MK + make sure Wukong DOESN'T learn the truth... 😅
Gay Uncle Macaque AU!
He's the cool uncle who let's the kids do things that the parents would never allow while keeping an eye on them to make sure they were still safe.
I imagine he probably met Pigsy's and Tang soon after they found MK, drawn by the energy of this kid that's very similar to his mate's. He's been living as a normal mortal monkey for centuries, traveling around like the rest of his kind after FFM was burned (he definitely went back and saved as many as he could which Wukong doesn't find out about until after the journey).
And he hears the couple struggling with the little kid when he got overwhelmed and let's himself in to help out.
They are very alarmed this strange monkey broke into their home to help with their kid, but it works?
MK is immediately calmed down by Macaque's presence as one of his own kind, being monkeys, and Macaque clocks in that this kid ain't a human kid, strips off the glamor and reveals the little monkey, much to his parents shock.
He explains to Pigsy and Tang that some monkey demon probably wasn't up to taking care of their kid, being too young, too old, injured or whatever, and wanted a better more stable life for their child than the one of a monkey demon so they disguised him and left him to whoever would take care of him.
He offers to hang around and help them get the hang of raising a monkey until the kid is old enough to glamor himself as a human for ease of getting around, they accept, all become bros.
After a certain incident involving attempted kidnapping, Macaque hides MK's celestial primate-ness and leaves him looking like just a normal monkey demon, and he can't leave the kid alone now, Macaque never ends up leaving.
He is now and forever, Cool Uncle Mac.
He's also MK's godfather in case anything happens to Pigsy and Tang, happened after the attempted kidnapping, and somehow Mei got her parents to make Mac her godfather too, nobody knows how that happened.
Back to Wukong!
Wukong was heartbroken when Macaque just disappeared, and once he's been defeated, he attributes their defeat to Macaque leaving them, weakening them by leaving them without one of their strongest fighters, and he's raging in anger for years, until the journey happens.
Tripitaka hears Wukong ranting and raving about Macaque and starts to work him through his issues, and when Wukong does tell him that macaque warned them, he sides with Macaque's choice, because Wukong literally had a person who can hear every possible future tell him his plan was going to fail, and he ignored him.
Is it any wonder that Macaque left after his warnings were ignored?
Tripitaka explains what he can guess was Macaque's reasoning behind his choice with the information he has, which Macaque obviously hears and is very appreciative for and helps him with the guilt.
Tripitaka and Macaque are cool here. They never meet but they are chill and would probably be buds. And Macaque and Tang are buds!
Because Macaque did do the right thing for himself by walking away from not the healthiest group dynamic
By the time of the show, Macaque has had his actions and feelings validated by his therapist, he and Sandy go to the same one, they are buds and hang out for tea and kitty time while Macaque fills Sandy in on all the stuff he's been missed out on with Pigsy's life.
So Macaque is a lot mentally healthier and okay with himself and his past actions.
And then Wukong shows up again.
Macaque never heard Wukong confirm any sort of closure over what he did so he is reasonably weary when the guy shows up, then he's pissed because Wukong is putting his nephew/god son in mortal danger!
He doesn't know Wukong's feelings on Liu'er Mihou enough to feel safe coming out as himself, so he only interacts with him as Macaque, MK's protective uncle/god father.
Wukong is also pretty quick to figure out MK's also a monkey demon, he doesn't exactly hide it and will drop his glamor whenever to get around easier, feet hands make climbing around the city so much easier, but he can't figure out that MK is anything more than that.
He does initially assume that MK and Mac are biologically related, but it's pretty quickly explained that no, Mac broke in and decided he was gonna live with/near them like a stray cat, he heard a baby monkey crying and monkey instincts did the rest.
Macaque is very disapproving of Wukong's leaving MK in season 2, and he, unlike Wukong, fills MK (and others) in that a demon called the Lady Bone Demon is back and she's very dangerous.
She's the one who tried to kidnap MK as a child after all, so he's super on edge for all of season 2, practically staking out MK's room every night , because he hears really bad things happening in the future and is guiding things towards the less bad stuff.
Over the years the noodle fam learned to trust his "intuition" and he's happy to have a family that trusts and listens to him.
Wukong is facing down two angry dads + a pissed off uncle at the end of season 3. He's cooked.
Thanks for asking!

Shadowpeach Angst AU, where the Jade Emperor decides to punish Sun Wukong in 2 ways... One is sealing him under the mountain... And the other is taking away his best friend's free will (Macaque)...
Macaque is now a constantly smiling, mindless servant to the Emperor (similar to how White Pearl was to White Diamond)...
Wukong becomes a disciple for Tang Sanzang to both atone for his past sins + hoping that redeeming himself would convince the Emperor to bring Macaque back to him...
But after the west journey, the Emperor REFUSED to give Macaque back his mind, because the Emperor believes that keeping Macaque is the only way to prevent Wukong from attacking the Celestial Realm again...
Wukong is heartbroken and depressed, until he eventually meets MK...
When Azure Lion destroys the Emperor, it frees Macaque...
Wukong tearfully gives Macaque a big hug! :')
Anon my friend, thank you for the delicious angst (also sorry for the wait in response, I've been cooking)
Prepare yourself to get yapped at cause I have thoughts!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Macaque would have either been captured soon after Wukong was defeated trying to shadow him away before anything worse happened, or he would've been caught after the celestial realm burnt Flower Fruit Mountain to the ground.
Regardless, Macaque ends up in the hands of the Jade Emperor.
Everyone knows the six eared monkey is someone very important to Wukong, and Wukong's extreme reaction to him being caught is very telling.
He finally shows some humility and begs for his mate to be spared, Macaque was just following his lead, he never wanted to rebel, all the punishment should go to him.
Execution would be the typical punishment for treason, Macaque isn't as immortal as Wukong is, he could be killed, but that's too easy, especially with the knowledge that the pair are mates.
The Jade Emperor says he'll spare Macaque, but he will serve the celestial realm. Macaque refuses, there's only one ruler he'll serve.
It's not a choice Macaque gets to make.
The Jade Emperor places him under a spell that can only be broken by his power, turning the once feared warrior into the perfectly well behaved servant who follows his commands to the letter.
Wukong is forced to watch the process while he's helpless to do anything to stop it. The last thing he sees before being sealed under the five phases mountain is the haunting grin on his mate's face.
Some in the celestial host(Nezha, Erlang, others with morals) think the punishment is a little extreme, but they can't argue with the Jade Emperor.
So, Wukong has five hundred years of stewing in grief and guilt because his mate is effectively dead, the only way to get him back is for the Jade Emperor to give him back, and he will never do that.
It's worse than if he actually had died, because Macaque is still alive, but he's not himself anymore, he's a grinning shell of who he used to be, he might not even remember him. Fun times for the monkey man!
As for Macaque, he is very unaware of what's going on around him. He doesn't think, he does what he's told. He's the Jade Emperor's personal servant so he's got a lot to do anyway, there isn't time to think, he doesn't need to think, he has a purpose, and that is to serve, not waste time with things he's not meant for.
Sometimes he gets flashes of things he's certain couldn't have happened, he'd be able to hear them if they were. Fun times for the monkey man!
When Wukong is freed, he eagerly joins the pilgrimage in the hope that his reformation approved by Buddha will be enough to get his moon back, the pain crown is a precautionary measure because he gets very aggressive at the mention of Macaque and Tripitaka is a squishy mortal.
Wukong understands why, Tripitaka doesn't abuse it. Zhu Bajie is not able to get him to use it on Wukong during the boen spirit arc because he trusts Wukong’s desperation to save his mate.
But, as you said, once the journey is over and Wukong is a Buddha certified redeemed monkey, the Jade Emperor refuses to give him back, it's the best way to keep the monkey king in line.
As a "reward" for the redemption, the Jade Emperor does allow Wukong to see Macaque once.
Wukong is absolutely devastated to see what Macaque has been reduced to, the now strained smile on his face never fading, his bright vibrant ears are shadows of their former selves, his mate is a shadow of his former self.
And he doesn't even remember him. He knows of him, and he gets irritated at him because of the giant mess his little rebellion left that he had to clean up.
Wukong is crushed that he wasn't able to save Macaque from the situation he dragged him into, and once all the pilgrims are dead, he becomes extremely depressed for 1000+ years.
Now that her monkey is super depressed, Nuwa decides to fix it.
She, being a goddess and relative of the Jade Emperor, is able to get access to Macaque, and she so she gets some times with the six eared monkey and instructs him to make a little clay monkey. Mac doesn't question it and makes a little four eared monkey, why's it got four ears? He doesn't know, it just felt right.
Nuwa dismisses him and takes Macaque’s monkey to the mortal realm before granting the creation life, it's a monkey, hooray.
Then she drops the baby in front of Wukong and is like “hi son, I got you a baby to cure your depression hope this helps.” Then leaves.
Wukong knows he's not in the state for raising a baby and sends the cub to the mainland where he gets picked up by Pigsy and Tang. Wukong is ignoring the fact that the cub Nuwa gave him is clearly Macaque’s, his fragile state of mind can't handle that.(I must make MK Shadowpeach’s kid, I just have too)
Then the same kid comes busting down his door two decades later with his staff, and he's both happy to see him and ashamed he couldn't be a better parent for him.
His depression gets better with people in his life again.
The plot of seasons 1-3 happens, MK does bump into Macaque during the celestial heist to deal with Spider Queen, literally, he literally bumps into him then runs. Macaque was very confused then moved on.
As for Macaque being freed when the Jade Emperor dies.
No.
The spell on him just passes to the next Jade Emperor, Azure. Now Azure has to be the one to free him.
Here's the thing, the Camel Ridge trio think that Wukong threw his lot in with the celestial realm because they had heard about Macaque being the emperor's most valued servant, and those two follow each other everywhere and they came to the conclusion that Macaque convinced Wukong to abandon their cause and betray them.
So they really don't like Macaque, but he is the first to bow to Azure as the new Jade Emperor.
Azure is confused and thinks it's just Macaque being a schemer and trying to get in with him like he did with the old regime.
Yellow Tusk notices something is off and decides to ask the other servants about Macaque, and gets told that he was put under a spell by the Jade Emperor that only he could undo, and it seems to have passed to Azure with his ascension. Yellow Tusk brings the issue to Azure, since they're trying to be better than the previous regime, they can start by freeing the person who's been a prisoner in his own mind for the last 1700+ years.
Azure considers it, but he knows how deeply Wukong cares about his shadow, and this tactic has been successful in preventing Wukong from attacking the heavens, why not use it a little longer until the Monkey King is subdued?
Extra angst.
Macaque gets brought down to be used as a bargaining tool, and that understandably makes Wukong very upset and he and Azure fight. MK joins in because that's an asshole move.
Macaque does get freed when Nezha seals the Jade Emperor's powers, therefore making him the one in charge of them, and he frees Macaque immediately.
Mac is extremely confused when he's back, and he is immediately tackled with hugs and kisses by Wukong; he does not let go of him for a solid week afterwards. It's been a rough seventeen hundred years, he's allowed to be a little clingy.
Macaque is very much not okay after being freed, he suffered a lot of abuse that the spell on him would not allow his mind to acknowledge, so now he's being hit with all of shit that happened to him. Wukong wants to kill everyone who ever hurt or was mean to his mate. He can't but he really wants to(Erlang gets a crushing monkey hug because he was nice to Macaque.)
Thanks for this idea, it's been very fun to play with!
I hope you enjoy the angst anon!

Cracked Family AU - Family Tree, Wukong's Side
Tumblr media
This is the family from Wukong's side, I'll do Macaque's side later, he has a lot more sworn sibling relations.
Wukong has a lot of moms. I guess he was just that adoptable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He is not genetically related to Nuwa. She accidentally created his stone egg while repairing the pillar when it broke the first time, that's why they have different colored relationship than the typical parent-child one.
Chūn is the reincarnation of Yin Wuming, also known as Lady Yin, Nezha's mother. Lady Yin did not ascend back to the celestial realm with her then ex husband and sons, choosing to stay in the cycle of reincarnation instead. She got reborn as a demon monkey on Flower Fruit Mountain about a century before the stone egg on top of the mountain hatched.
I have a much more detailed post on her here, with a picture! (Featuring lesbian monkeys)
Cracked Family AU Masterpost
I'm rambling under the cut, check it out if you want
I went into Erlang's family because I needed Chenxiang on the board, and oh my gods, is Erlang's family a tragedy.
First his dad and older brother get killed by his uncle, who then sealed his mother under a mountain, all because his mom fell in love with a mortal. Then! His sister falls in love with a mortal and his uncle orders him to seal his own sister under a mountain and kill her husband and take her from her son. Talk about generational trauma and cyclical abuse.
I hc he's secretly scared that if he has kids, the brother will be ordered to seal his sister under a mountain for falling in love with a mortal, it happened twice before he's not risking it again. He is happy being a dog dad. And a decent uncle to his monkey brother's kid.
Wukong and Erlang become bros in Jttw, though I imagine him sealing his sister under a mountain caused some strain in their relationship, I feel like Wukong might take that personally. Maybe that's why he taught Erlang's nephew how to kick his ass really hard.
And adopted said nephew. Chenxiang was like 8 when shit went down, monkey brain said "cub has no parents, it's free real estate".
Nuwa is the Jade Emperor's sister in some myths, and I had fun(angsty) ideas with it so I'm using that, but because Nuwa is big snake, and Jade Emperor is presumably something similarly reptilian, they would probably only know that they share a mother, because that's how reptiles work, hit it and quit it. So they are at best half siblings.
Guanyin being the reincarnation of one of Jade Emperor and Xiwangmu's daughters is a fun idea I've seen from @quitealotofsodapop, and it's more funny to me cause she and her sister's reincarnation adopted the same chaotic monkey at different points in his life. So I'm rolling with it.

Dad Macaque AU, some demons find single parents to be attractive (because competent single parents, are considered strong), so Wukong's enemies often flirt with Macaque...
Demon Bull King + Yellow Tusk DON'T do this...
Fake Mayor + A Random Spider Minion + Azure Lion + Peng + Nine-Headed Demon do flirt with Macaque...
Wukong + MK + Bai He: Oh, hell no! 😠
Macaque: (Resisting urge to destroy all the flirters...) 😡
Single parent Macaque: *exists, tiredly* Any demon: now that's a dilf! 😍
He truly gets no rest.
This is so funny, if you can't beat Wukong, try taking his ex mate who's proven himself to be an excellent father! Plus you get a kid out of the deal too!
Macaque has an even less fun time with LBD now because the thrall of the demon possessing his kid is flirting with him. Similar situation for the spider demon, he's not into dating he just wants to raise his kid, is that too much to ask?
Luckily most don't think they have a chance at flirting with him with Wukong around.
Then Azure pulls up and sucks Wukong into the scroll. Word spread quickly.
Macaque takes refuge from the people trying to flirt/courtnap him on FFM, where he thinks he's finally safe.
Azure's still there, and he takes the opportunity of Wukong being gone to give Macaque the offer to join him. As a sworn brother or partner he doesn't say.
Macaque doesn't know he's got MK and the rest (including Bai He) and he's just so confused, this day has been so weird. He throws a banana at Azure and tells him to come back later.
He thinks it's weird cause Azure's attention has always been on Wukong, right? Right?!
Nope. Azure saw Macaque with the monkey cubs on FFM way back when and it unlocked something in him. He has a thing for both of them at one point, but his attention transitioned to Macaque after the rebellion.
He knew he never had a chance with Macaque before because of Wukong, but they aren't together anymore, and Macaque's a single parent now... Azure belongs in horny jail.
Tang sees some stuff in the past. First thing he does out of the scroll is bonk Azure on the head.
Azure's got more reason to keep Wukong in the scroll now, nobody is going to stand in his way now. Peng agrees.
Yellow Tusk is regretting his life choices.
Everyone is grossed out by that encounter.
Azure, and Peng, think they need to have beaten heaven to win over Macaque so they don't approach him again until after that's done.
As for Macaque, he's extremely confused when MK tells him they both have the hots for him. He doesn't get it, truly, he knows that single parents are attractive to demons, but not this level. It can't be him, hobo theater dad that he is.
Azure flirts with Macaque right after his dramatic entrance on FFM, and gets decked in the face for it.
Macaque, Mei and Bai He's fight with Peng is mostly Peng flirting with him. Bai He is in a biting mood.
And then when the Snake Boi flirts with him and well, you know does this
Tumblr media
Macaque is flipping sick of everyone flirting with him. He needs a way to get these people off his ass that isn't Wukong cause he ain't ready for that yet.
Bai He has a solution!
She calls up her auntie Iron Fan and asks if she can talk to her "cousin with the dog" over very serious matters at dinner at her place.
Cue a very confused Erlang Shen having dinner with the DBK fam and a little human(?) girl who is talking like she's trying to make a build deal.
Bai He: Mr. Erlang, I didn't want to resort to this but I need you to fake date my baba. Erlang: *confused but playing along, he thinks it's a game* uh... who's your dad? Bai He: the Six Eared Macaque! Erlang: Wukong's mate?!? o_0 Bai He & DBK fam: ex-mate! Erlang: ... why? Bai He: everyone is in horny jail for my Baba and I hate it! They keep attacking us and trying to touch him! 😡 Erlang: .... Erlang: aight I got nothing better to do Bai He: yay! But don't fall in love with him! This is fake dating! I don't want another dad! Erlang doesn't-touch-romance-with-a-ten-foot-poll Shen: that won't be a problem.
I just thought it would be funny if Bai He got someone to pretend to be Macaque's boyfriend to get everyone off him and it'd be funnier if it was Erlang since the guy's not doing anything in canon.
Macaque is on board cause he needs a break from the crazy horny people.
Wukong isn't pleased with it that's for sure. Macaque finds it fun that he's so jealous.
Thanks for asking!

Devoted Shadowpeach AU, where Macaque decides to stay in that mountain to keep Wukong company + he stayed with Wukong when the West Journey happens...
After Wukong gets freed, immediately asks Tripitaka to have a 'long conversation' with Macaque in the nearby bushes (it's actually 'fun adult things'), before the journey starts...
The Pilgrims have to wait a few hours for Wukong to be finished 'talking with Macaque'...
Tripitaka is kinda lowkey traumatized, Zhu Bajie is so done with everything, while Ao Lie + Sha Wujing are happy that the monkeys have a loving and healthy relationship...
Macaque is very cuddly with Wukong after 'their talk'! 🥰
Tripitaka would indeed be low-key traumatized from that, he's a monk and celibate, and he's dealing with monkeys who are not shy about how much they love each other.
Bajie is probably complaining about how come he(Wukong) gets to have his mate and not him, Wukong didn't kidnap Macaque that's why.
Wujing and Lie are happy their brother has such a loving mate.
Macaque would be extremely cuddly, he hasn't been able to properly cuddle his mate in 500 years.

Dark Shadowpeach AU, where Possessed Wukong keeps Macaque as his precious prize... Possessed Wukong NEVER hurts Macaque physically, and he won't allow others to hurt Macaque as well... LBD knows about the cliche, where if the Hero's Loved Ones die or almost dies, the Hero can break free from mind control, with the 'power of love'...
LBD isn't gonna risk it, and commands the Mayor to not hurt Macaque as well...
Macaque is sadly trapped in a frozen gilded cage, but he still wants to help MK! 😔
Oh fun 😈
Macaque was captured after he saved MK from getting beat up right after Wukong was possessed.
LBD, tired of Macaque messing with her plans, order Wukong to bring the traitor to her, Wukong snatched Macaque out of the sky with ease and brings him to her, but he does not put Macaque down when she says to
He's just standing there, holding Macaque by his scarf like he's a kitten, Mayor tries to take Macaque and nearly gets his head bitten off for his troubles.
After a couple rounds of trial and error to get Wukong to drop Macaque, LBD figures out he's not going to unless Macaque is gonna be safe, the safest place is with him, so he's not letting him go.
At this point Macaque is very tired of this nonsense and his neck hurts, if he's gonna be held, hold him differently.
LBD convinces Wukong that the real safest place for Macaque is with her, she'll make him an impenetrable "fortress" that no one can hurt him in, not even herself or her thrall. She has found that Wukong is easier to control now that Macaque is safe so she's not going to go back on that promise.
Once LBD makes the ice cage, Wukong is pretty happy to drop Macaque in there where he's safe. As soon as Wukong is gone, Mayor makes the cage spin to make Mac sick.
Macaque is very displeased with his current position and is doing whatever he can from the cage to help. A bit hard considering he's under constant surveillance and LBD calls Wukong back to "comfort" his "mate" anytime he tries anything.
Macaque does not appreciate being treated like possessed Wukong's personal teddy bear/pet.
He's just kinda pissed off the whole time

Gay Uncle Macaque AU, Macaque takes Bai He as an apprentice in dark magic, before she had gotten possessed...
Macaque wants to save Bai He, as well as help MK...
Macaque tells Wukong that Bai He must be saved... 🥰
Bai He: *is an orphaned baby* Pigsy and Tang:
Tumblr media
Macaque came in one day to see a new baby in the noodle shop and just accepted it, what else is he gonna do?
He's got a niece now.
Bai He is part demon, they don't know what since she's very human, but she can do shadow magic, once this becomes apparent Macaque is like "okay we need to get a handle on that or she'll teleport herself who knows where"
So he teaches her how to do the shadow magic.
And when LBD reveals herself it's super bad for Pigsy and Tang cause their daughter has been missing for months, and now she's been possessed by some ancient demon? Trauma.
And for MK cause he found his missing little sister! but she's not home at the moment, a demon is using her body to attack him and he doesn't know if she'll be alright.
Also bad for Macaque cause his niece has been possessed by the demon who tried to steal his nephew when he was a baby.
thanks for asking

Shadowpeach Celestial Prince Macaque AU, when Wukong lost the battle against the Emperor + gets trapped in the mountain, the Emperor lies that 'Wukong is dead' to Macaque...
Macaque is heartbroken and runs away from the Celestial Realms...
Macaque travels all across the Mortal World, in the form of a mortal monkey...
Eventually, Nuwa asks Macaque to raise MK (Chaos Harbinger), Macaque says yes + Macaque gets a job at Pigsy's Restaurant...
When Macaque sees that Wukong is alive, he cries tears of joy! 😭
previous
Oh that's fun. (Lemme throw more fairytale and children into it, I can't help myself, must give the monkeys babies)
I've got two ideas with this
Wukong is under the impression that Macaque is being held against his will in the celestial realm with no knowledge that he's a prince, a misconception only stoked by Azure to rile Wukong up into attacking them to save his love, and the only reason Wukong thinks that is because Macaque chose not to tell him, and now he's dead!
The Jade Emperor put a spell on his ears to block him from ever hearing Wukong again, he's not going to loose another child to their foolish young love.
So Macaque actually thinks he's dead.
This is the tragedy route:
He's absolutely heartbroken and guilty over it, because he thinks he got him killed! He really did love him, he even confessed to him shortly before the rebellion started!
He's too inconsolable with grief to leave the fortified tower his parents put him in for his own safety during the fighting, he's hardly the strongest of combatants being a fairly sheltered youngest child. He can throw a mean punch, and has phenomenal powers but little control over them, and that's about it.
His parents do start to feel pretty bad for making him think the love of his life is dead, but they are committing to it because Macaque is just a kid in puppy love to them, and Wukong was a danger.
What if he dragged their little moon flower out of the safety of the celestial realm and down the mortal realm? What if he turned their son against them and they were forced to punish him alongside the other rebels? They couldn't so blatantly show favor to their son.
It was better this way. Their son was safe and wouldn't be tempted by the draw of the mortal realm anymore.
Macaque stays in the celestial realm for a couple hundred years, his parents were already devastated by Iron Fan leaving them, he couldn't hand them another heartbreak so soon. And the one he would leave the realm for is long dead.
On an unrelated note, he notices his clothes getting tighter around the stomach as the years go on.
He stays the good son he was before meeting Wukong, he doesn't have a thought of leaving the realm at all, he's the perfect prince.
He mostly stays more hidden away in the orchards, having become much more introverted since the rebellion.
But all is well in the celestial realm.
Until he has a visit with Guanyin, a goddess with maternity aspects, and she notices something amiss.
Turns out the perfect prince had a secret little roll in the orchards with the celestial realm's no. 1 annoyance if you catch my drift 😏
Macaque is obviously mortified! He didn't think they could make anything together, but
Tumblr media
Macaque doesn't want his parents knowing about this, obviously he fears their overreacting to him carrying the child, children Guanyin quickly corrects, of their most hated enemy!
He knows what happened to his sisters who had children with mortals, and he knows what happened to Erlang's mother for doing the same, and while Wukong isn't a mortal, he knows he wouldn't be spared their wrath.
And since he still thinks Wukong is dead, he doesn't wanna loose him babies who could be the last thing he has left of his first and only love. (Don't worry I'm not killing them this time)
Guanyin comforts him and suggests he come to her realm in the southern seas so his cubs can be born in a safer place, though Xiwangmu as a mother goddess would obviously know when he gives birth, and would know one of her children is currently expecting.
And what do you know? She suspects exactly that and Macaque overheard her talking with JE about it, and thinks he's already been found out.
Macaque is panicking big time thinking he's in big trouble and then Nuwa comes to him like
Tumblr media
She's decided the panicked pregnant celestial monkey is the perfect parent for the harbinger of chaos, and gives him a way to avoid his parents and have his babies + her harbinger, and she puts a spell on him that'll make him disappear to the eyes of the celestial realm when he accepts.
Macaque ends up traveling the mortal realm disguised as a normal monkey demon.
MK hatches around the same time as his twins are born, so it's easier for macaque to just label them triplets and call it a day without going into the whole "a snake lady gave your stone egg to me when I ran away from my over protective parents" bit.
He teaches the triplets how to hide their ears like him, and once they're old enough, he tells them about their Papa, who they must never mention by name or else they will be in big trouble, he heard his parents fury over his disappearance, he's playing it safe.
So it's just a single dad and his three kids traveling around until they come across Megapolis, and he decides this is a nice place to settle, he gets a job at the local theater as a performer, and his kids favorite restaurant is Pigsy's, and MK ends up working full time there, while the other two end up working with him at the theater, but learning a fair bit from watching the pig chef.
Macaque and Wukong do meet again, but due to the damage done to his eyes from the furnace, Wukong can't see him, and Macaque can't hear him, he's still got the spell on him.
Hear no evil, see no evil, and the kids are speak no evil cause they can't bring this shit up or their whole family is exposed and there will be bad consequences.
Shenanigans ensue.
In case you don't know, I'm taking some elements from the og Rapunzel, mainly the twin pregnancy and prince(Wukong in this case) character being blinded/suffering eye damage.
And this is the comedy route:
Where when fighting, Wukong says something about saving Macaque from the cruelty of the celestial realm while fighting the Jade Emperor and he's just like "you dumb boy, that's my son, the fuck are you on",
Things work out much better once Wukong explains that he was only fighting cause he thought macaque was in trouble, and while he did wreck shit, it does get him a few brownie points with his in-laws because he was willing to fight heaven for their son.
Wukong is still blamed for Princess Iron Fan eloping with DBK, and they get a little extra protective of macaque, but things eventually work out fine and Nuwa gives them a rock soon to be baby MK as a wedding gift.
The wedding is a bit rushed because the surprise pregnancy was found out earlier and the royal couple won't let their grandchildren be born illegitimate.
Thanks for asking!

Hi! Heres a slightly challenging ask.
Okay, say that Wukong was a siren, and Macaque is his latest target.
The only thing is Macaque has a water phobia due to a near drowning incident intentionally caused by a past foster parent (LBD), and refuses to go near it, even with a siren trying to compel him.
How do you think Wukong would be able to lure Macaque into going near him?
Oh fun! (Sorry it took me a bit to get to it)
Wukong's plan to get an easy meal is foiled by Macaque's childhood trauma.
Macaque is just hissing like a cat anytime Wukong's singing gets him too close to the water and snaps out of the spell.
Wukong is so annoyed by it, he just wants to eat, why is this monkey resisting his song? He's hungry, yeah he could eat some other person who doesn't have hydrophobia, but this is a pride thing now, he's going to get this dumb monkey man to get into the water! He's definitely not obsessed with catching this one monkey.
Macaque catches on that there's a siren trying to lure him to the water, and probably eat him, so he's got even less insensitive to get in the water.
But they eventually start talking to each other because Wukong lures Macaque out with his song, Macaque's hydrophobia kicks in and he stays comfortably out of reach of any hungry sirens and so they talk, Macaque came all this way he might as well get a conversation out of it.
They talk and learn about each other, Wukong finds out why Macaque will not touch water with a ten foot poll.
He also starts to not want to eat Macaque anymore because of talking to him and getting to know him and oh fuck! He's in love.
Now that's his problem.
Macaque is still not getting near the water, even if the sexy fish monkey isn't trying to kill him now.
Thanks for asking!

Shadowpeach Fluff AU, where Macaque decides to stay in that mountain to keep Wukong company, even after their argument... He stayed with Wukong for 500 years, then the West Journey happens...
How does Wukong feel about Macaque smacking the back of Tripitaka's head, whenever the monk uses the Circlet's Spell on Wukong? (They don't have a second circlet... so Tripitaka is grateful for Macaque's self-control...)
What are Macaque's relationships with all the Pilgrims? (Tripitaka + Ao Lie + Zhu Bajie + Sha Wujing)
How do the Pilgrims feel about Wukong being a simp for Macaque (even though they are boyfriends)?
What if after the West Journey, Wukong and Macaque got married? 💍
They were married before the journey since they are mates, after the journey it's public to everyone that these monkeys are together so not mess with their relationship.
Wukong appreciates his mate standing up for him, and finds it humorous to see Macaque just swat Tripitaka's bald head like a cat. He could be doing a lot worse, he makes sure Tripitaka knows that, he does do worse during the bone spirit arc because Bajie is blatantly lying and getting his mate hurt because he's horny.
He almost becomes bacon.
All the pilgrims agree that trusting the living lie detector duo when there's demons around is the best decision, and not to listen to Bajie.
Macaque likes Wujing and Lie a lot, they're nice and aren't causing problems for him and his mate, they are chill.
He doesn't like Bajie because of his blatant misogyny and hitting on every woman he meets, as a monkey from a matriarchal culture, that is fucking disgusting, and he has to be talked down from turning Bajie into bacon each time he doesn't leave people alone. He's not a fan of this pig.
He's tolerant of Tripitaka, he knows Tripitaka doesn't want to hurt his mate, and that he's a squishy mortal, but it's still very angering to see him hurt Wukong, hence the slapping. Outside of that, he's fine with him.
Bajie has no room to judge anyone for being a simp. Demons and dragons aren't strangers to same sex relationship, Tripitaka is the one who is most surprised and put off by it, but he gets over that as he sees how much they truly love each other.
Sandy and Lie think they're cute, Lie is making preparations to be the best uncle for his eventual niblings.
Macaque is just as much of a simp for Wukong too
They get teased a fair bit.
This was a sweet one, thanks for asking!
