We got to see Evor find a kind of peace or alliance with Havi. Do you ever think about how, after killing Juno, there is no way in hell Elijah will have that. That boy is going to be fighting Aita tooth and nail for the rest of his life and I don't see Aita making it easy for him. In fact, I see him as the kind of person willing to destroy everything as long as it takes his wife's killer down with him.
My personal headcanon it that Elijah’s genetic lineage served to amplify his resistance to losing his body to Aita’s memories.
Like, Valhalla, Mirage and Aita’s Sages showed the different fates a Sage can have.
They can buckle under pressure and go half mad like Valka’s mother.
Completely destroy their own psyche (although there were external forces who pushed that along) like Sigurd.
Or have their personality be rewritten like Basim.
Eivor had 2 versions of this.
The base game showed Eivor locking Odin out and this is something we’ve seen before with an Aita Sage Jacques de Molay who used his visions of Aita’s past to write his codex and suggest a more financial approach to world domination. He made no plans to find Juno or have any manic glee like Roberts or John Standish.
The final episode (or whatever that’s called) has the whole ‘inner peace’ thing and I headcanon that they grew to find peace (or atleast a truce) because Eivor left the only place they called home and was lonely. Whether Odin was truly trying to be kind or this was a ploy to get Eivor to lower their guard for him to take over is up in the air.
Going back to Elijah, my personal headcanon is that Aita wasn’t able to take a hold of Elijah’s mind because of both his genetic lineage and his willpower.
His will to remain human is further amplified by his hatred for Juno who, in many ways, caused the death of his mother to get him (it was Abstergo, sure, but many of the Templars were Juno’s pawns from the beginning).
Elijah never had an actual talk with Aita like Eivor. In some ways, he probably had a similar experience to Basim where Loki's memories appeared like a djinn BUT not have a similar experience to Basim where Loki took the form of Nehal.
To Elijah though, Aita has long been appearing like the boogeyman under his bed.
He said it so himself in the wiki
"What if your brain was already somehow different? What if you'd already learned to ignore and control voices, visions, in your head? Well then, maybe you could push him [Aita] down, just enough to access the things that he knows."
So we can say that Elijah is more of a case like Jacques de Molay who was able to keep Aita at bay, using his memories for his own benefit.
That doesn’t mean that Aita can’t try to take control after Juno’s death though.
Who knows, maybe the reason why we’ve never heard about Elijah since he faked his own death was because he’s off battling Aita internally.
It's gonna be a tough task though considering Elijah just showed that he's both stubborn and merciless.
(and not because Ubisoft is deliberately ignoring him when there have been many situations where Elijah could have been given a major role in the modern day story)

ur so big brained abt val and skulduggery’s dynamic swapping roles. and maybe this is a reach but ‘valkyrie’ coming from warrior women who literally guide those killed in war to heaven…hmm idk
True! Both Skulduggery's and Valkyrie's names have so many layers to them it drives me INSANE, every time I think I've thought of everything I realize something different.
Something also to be said about the fact that Valhalla is just. Fighting for fun. There could not be more accurate names for these two.

Sorry to bother you with this but I have no writing skill and you're the first one I thought of when I had this idea so
Have you played or watched the ending for God of War Valhalla? If so do you think you could do the ending with Jaune?
No need to apologize. It's not bother at all. And the best advice I can give you about writing is to keep doing it and to draw inspiration from other works. That said, I hope you enjoy this work I am about to present. Now, that said, I did, in fact, see God of War: Ragnarök: Valhalla. And it was probably the most perfect DLC we could get for God of War story-wise, since it covered pretty much what was missing from the story, which is Kratos becoming the better man he should have been shown to be. And now, here we have it. Kratos becoming who he was meant to be. And now, I present to you,
--------------------------------------------
JAUNE ARC, THE NEW GOD OF WAR
This battle, like all others before, had come to an end. Jaune Arc, the God of War from the Kingdom of Vale, lifted Winter, the War Maiden of Atlas, over his head and threw her to the ground. As she rolled across the floor, she found her way to her knees. Jaune closed in with his fist held high, ready to strike her down. However, her hand caught his. There was a bit of struggle on her end, and with heavy pants, she spoke.
"Enough, Jaune." She said. "I yield."
Jaune took a step back, then reached forward with his hand. Taking his hand, she was pulled to her feet. With a smile, he nodded.
"Well-fought."
"Let's see what the relic has to say about you." Winter brought forth the relic she was charged to protect, and it's blue mist began to swirl around the two. Once more, Jaune's past was revealed, beginning where it ended with Jaune's victory over the maddened Ozpin. "After you slew Ozpin, Beacon had fallen. The Maiden of Vale was dead by your hand, both of them, and yet you survived."
"Not without my own attempt on my life."
"No, but the question remains why you continued to fight." The image changed from the fallen Beacon to Jaune falling from the highest point of the tower. "Why did you continue to live, even when you were so committed to ending it all?"
"I had lost everything, but..." Jaune swallowed. "But there was something else for me. It was little, and it seemed useless, but it was all I had left."
"And what was it?"
"Hope."
"Mm, hope." Ozpin said, standing by Jaune's side. "Hope, however fleeting it may seem, can prove to be more powerful than any weapon on Remnant. It was all left within you, and you chose to bring hope back to Vale. To all of Remnant."
"And you have brought hope to Atlas, too." Winter gave a small smile.
"I should have died." Jaune said. "It would have been fitting. But it didn't happen."
"Because you still had hope, and that hope lived on through you. Since your attempt in Vale to your triumph in Atlas, you have brought hope to us all. Regardless of any relic, whatever magical power it may hold, anger and hatred and love and joy and hope all live in each and every one of us, whether we are meek and mortal or mighty and monstrous. And yet there is one last question you must ask; which will you choose to let guide your actions?" The mist fell, leaving Jaune face-to-face with the Winter Maiden. "Every decision we make shapes our world."
Jaune gave a grunt. All this time, all this struggle and pain and near endless pain had led to this moment, just as this moment would lead to the next one. Jaune Arc held onto his hope and had grown since his time as a God of War in Vale. Since his attempt to end his life. Since the beginning of his new life here, in Atlas.
"I understand now."
"And?" Winter asked.
"And I'm ready go inside."
Winter smiled. "Excellent."
Jaune walked up to the massive door, the same as he had before. Except it wouldn't be the same, would it? He had changed since the first time he entered, and he changed the last time he entered as well. As he pushed, the doors that once felt heavy suddenly became light and easy to push. Entering the dark room behind the doors, the world fell away, leaving only himself inside the darkness.
As he continued to walk forward, a little began to glow from above onto himself. Except, it wasn't himself. No, Jaune was staring at his younger self, who was sitting on an empty throne, clutching the same red bandana tied to his hip. Jaune stopped, expecting anything and everything he could, except for this.
"What... can I say to you?" Jaune began, speaking to the seated Jaune. "I remember the day I first took that throne. All that it meant. And all that it didn't. I... was the God of War. The God of Pain. Of Suffering. Of Destruction." He looked away. "Jinn said I would always chase a redemption I know I will never deserve. But what does that make me?" He glanced to his younger self. "A God of Fools. A God of...."
Suddenly, he found Pyrrha's sash in his hands. He turned it over, once more remembering how soft her hands felt in his. How sweet her breath smelled to him. How warm her blood felt as it fell from her cold body. Her final words to him were for him to trust destiny and to have...
"...Hope. When all else is lost..." He turned to his doppelganger once more. "You... lost everything. And everyone." He felt his body tense as his anger built the closer he got to the throne. "And you became..."
The younger Jaune shifted in his seat, blue eyes glaring at blue eyes. No... No, Jaune stared at Jaune. It didn't matter what kind of Jaune he was speaking to, whether they were younger, older, seated, standing- It didn't matter because he was still Jaune. Anger filled him at the realization.
"There is no excusing you and what you've done!" He shouted. "You became-!" Finally, Jaune's remaining words died in his throat. "I became." He turned away, realizing who he had been shouting at, who he had been fighting against since his ascension to godhood.
"What now?" He whispered. "Should I, the same Jaune Arc, sit down on this throne? Should I take? Yell out? Lead? Submit myself to service?" The final words danced on his tongue. "Service. In service." He looked once more to the sash in his hand. "If... If I lose everything and everyone, will there still be enough of me left so that I don't become you?" He shook his head. "I don't know." He nodded. "But I have hope."
"You..." He turned once more to the throne. "You are cruel, and arrogant, and selfish." His fury subsided. "But you are more than that. There was always more to you than what others saw. You are more than that."
With a deep breath, Jaune stepped forward once more. The once glorious throne of Vale had long withered away to it's barest stones. Seated upon the throne was a red sash, and taking it in hand, he touched the throne. He then turned and lowered himself to sit on the throne. With a shaky breath, he knew this was where he belonged.
Holding onto hope, he had become the new Atlas God of War... and of Hope.

Salut!
Writeblr Ask Game
Notebook- How many notebooks do you have, and how many of them are empty, used, or full?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Quill: what's your most controversial writer opinion
Word: what word do you use too many times, but refuse to stop using ?
Imagery - What's the best thing you've ever written
Hero: how similar are you to your hero? Was it intentional?
Villain: how similar are you to your villain? Was it intentional?
Chapter: how long do your chapters/scene tend to be?
Paragraph: Give your best writing advice!

I very much agree with your take on Emma's ending in Season Three. And there is a vast difference between when we first see her versus her ending. In Season One, Emma was fighting (her own words) for a place in the kingdom and for her own survival. The Emma we see at the end of Season Three is confident. She knows her place and does not doubt her place. I love that character evolution for her ❤️
Season 1 was rough on Emma because she was surrounded by men who didn't understand her value and/or didn't listen to her (Æthelred, Edmund), underestimated her (Eadric Streona), or wanted her pushed aside to advance their own position (Godwin).
Lucky for her (and for him, as well), she finally found a man who realized her true worth — and fell in love with her for it! — and was able to help him rule and guided his decisions in strategic and canny ways. (Just look at Godwin's face when he realized all his attempts at negotiation with the cardinal were nothing in comparison with Emma's canny realization of what the pope actually wanted and her recommendation to Canute to carry it out!)
And despite her grief in losing Canute at the end of Season 3, she still had the strength and wits to challenge Godwin when it came to drawing Harefoot to her side. (And historically, we know she succeeds at making both Harthacnut and Edward king.) The woman knows how to play — and win — the game of thrones, is all I'm saying!

After Mirage I went straight to Valhalla for the first time cause I love Basim. I just got to the Oxenfordscire arc to when you free the thegns. And right now Im following Siguard and Basim walk halfway across the map becuase their horses are constantly running into them and this is harlarious.
Then I imagined it as another Desmond being reborn and him doing that to Siguard was too funny.
I’m going to assume this is another case of Desmond becoming a horse AU and roll with it XD
.
Eivor has no idea what was happening.
Desmond was one of the best horses in Ravensthorpe.
Hytham had been the one to capture him near their settlement a few weeks after they had landed.
According to Hytham, Desmond had approached him a day after he taught Eivor how to do a leap of faith and he managed to ‘capture’ him.
When Hytham recounted the story to Eivor, Desmond had let out a huffing sound that made Hytham hush him, as if the two were keeping a secret.
If Eivor was to make a guess, she believes Hytham didn’t capture Desmond and more like bribed him or maybe even pleaded with him.
That’s what Eivor learned about Desmond.
He does not do well with being pulled or hit. He’d even kick and jump away.
But talking to him and asking him to run or to go left?
He’d do it if one was to ask nicely.
Or…
Eivor’s try and tested method, give Desmond berries.
They were meant to be Eivor’s emergency provisions but berries were plenty around these parts so she didn’t mind sharing them to Desmond for a much smoother ride.
That was why she had not been surprised that Hytham has asked Desmond to be Basim’s horse.
Basim had been amused with his acolyte talking to a horse like he could understand him but he humored Hytham and spoke to Desmond the same way.
Sigurd had been confused but paid it no heed.
And Eivor whispered to Desmond to behave.
And now…
Eivor has no way of explaining to the two men that the horses are running away from them because Desmond ordered Sigurd’s horse to follow him.
She had seen Desmond do it multiple times before.
She was already starting to believe Desmond is not just any ordinary horse… that he might even be a shapeshifter…
Might even be Loki in disguise.
She was sure Desmond is doing this not to tease them but because he had gotten fed up as well.
Or…
Maybe Eivor is just projecting her own feelings.
What she will say is that…
There really was no need to get even her horse to follow him, making them run towards them until they’re near and just running away.
Soon, Sigurd was going to snap and tell them to just find new horses.
And only then will Desmond and the horses return and let them ride them.
Eivor was sure of it.

the fact that you can play male eivor and still have some npcs use she/her and call you eivor varinsdottir annoys me.
i know female eivor is canon and male eivor is technically the animus seeing odin, but it's just so annoying that they didn't polish all of the dialogue to make playing male eivor feel legitimate. why even have the ability to play male eivor if they didn't craft a playthrough around him? why not just remove all pronouns like they did with alexios and kassandra in odyssey?
whatever. i just headcanon eivor as trans.
