HEY YOU!! IT'S CRAAAAAZY i'm so happy it took off and that people liked it as much as they do! i've either made my Irish ancestors very proud or accidentally placed a curse on my entire bloodline with this

i had a fun full circle moment with this when it first came out, i asked my irl best friend for some references since she's a HUUUUUUUUGE lifelong Dragon Ball fan... and then she saw it out in the wild before i could even show her my storyboards for it!! so it was like :')

I'M SUPER LUCKY i've actually had a few of my sections get popular... i'm now curious what's more popular, that or the World of Friendship song (which i still get soooo so excited when i see people spreading it around or screenshots from it!!). it's even made me more excited to see that it's helped some people come around on the show and gain interest... we actually had a joint SB-crew and PAT-crew season wrap party last month, and the invitation used a screenshot from this and i was just like THAT'S MY DRAWINGGGGGG I WORKED ON THAT WHAT THE HECK!!!!!

IT'S DEFINITELY A BIZARRE FEELING!! i think the first time i really had a "wow... dang that's Me" moment was the first time i traveled out to LA, it was December of 2022 and i was watching SpongeBob in the hotel. they were showing Christmas commercials because, of course! and there was one bumper Nickelodeon kept running that included a clip from an episode of The Patrick Show, actually the 2nd-3rd episode i ever worked on, where he swallows jingle bells and shakes his ass (because of course) and they kept running that and i was just like... dang. we made it fellas

BUT YEAH it's so bizarre and has never truly sunk in yet! i've actually been listening to some Sponge Music while i've been working today and thinking about how nostalgic this song is because it was the title card music for No Free Rides, which i had on VideoNow (remember that??) and would watch CONSTANTLY as a result... and i can't help but think how baby me had no idea they would be running her drawings of a starfish shaking his ass on Nickelodeon commercial breaks or people memeing sequences she's worked on. it gets me emotional!!!

ㅤㅤKnowing what he knows now, knowing what he knew then — sweet nothing's which spill from the overlord's mouth fall on deaf ears and douse his simmering temper with gasoline. Not to mention the lack-of professionalism on Vox's part. A clear indication to the Sin of how seriously he was taking this meet-up.

ㅤHe'd been ever-so lenient with Vox throughout the years — had he known this was the type of repayment he'd get from a business partner, Asmodeus would've reconsidered the 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞. 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧. 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. He'd call shame upon himself for being negligent about everything if he hadn't reviewed their whole paper trail leading up to this conversation. The evidence was damning. Things weren't looking up for VoxTek.

ㅤㅤ𝐂𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭, 𝐕𝐨𝐱. ❝ Glad you think so, babe. Really, I do. ❞ Taking his rightful position at his desk, Asmodeus drew in a tired sigh as he shuffled through two drawers — locating two alphabetized, customized folders.

ㅤㅤ❝ Oh, something came up! Ha, it definitely came up, all right. Which is why I wanted to bring it up to my sources since I'd hoped you'd have the answers for me. ❞ Opening one of the folders, Asmodeus flicked a small, neat stack of printed photographs atop his desk and before the overlord; large, crisp, and glossy. Every detail caught with the Vees at what appears to be a PR party and the scene reads loud and clear as to what its context is: love potion distribution. There, in high definition so that Vox couldn't (shouldn't) attempt [to] deny the evidence.

ㅤSeveral of the photos depict a series of the unfortunate events which Vox encountered. From the arrival, to the drinks, the drugs, posing with the "products" ... there are a few photos where Vox and Valentino are absent but the photos then focus on the scene. An obscene amount of synthetic love potions. Everyone drinking, cheering, singing, with Vox's handy advertisement plastered in every angle of the room. Damning evidence. Only an idiot would consider lying to a Sin much less attempt to carry it out. Especially in a situation like this.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚, 𝙑𝙤𝙭.

ㅤㅤ Large claws rest atop of the desk, folded. ❝ See ... it's been brought to my attention, recently. ❞ There's a shift in Asmodeus' tone along with the aura within his office. Deeper, lower, a warning. ❝ I didn't wanna believe it, myself, since I figured you'd be one of the first few to understand where I'm comin' from when it comes to love potions. Right? ❞ Scrolling through his own phone, Asmodeus flipped his phone to show screenshots of that gawdy-ass advertisement of Love Potions in the Pride Ring.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ❝ Enlighten me, would ya? ❞

Vox had woken up that morning wearing the same suit from yesterday / messy and torn and sloppy — the complete opposite of his public image. Wiping dried drool from the corner of his mouth, the overlord’s eyes practically popped out while spotting the time. Drowsiness combined with sudden adrenaline didn’t help this strange phenomenon of sleeping in . . . nor did Vox’s empty schedule for today.

Sore eyes and body were oh so tempted to fall back into rest [ why did his hips hurt? ] until a ping! made Vox’s phone vibrate. Shaky hands lifted the device to make out a . . . surprisingly curt text message :

‘Office. 1 o’clock.’

A smile that doesn’t meet sharpened eyes / the bruising grip on his arm / those velvety crimson wings fluttering in anger / 'Voxxy. PENTHOUSE.' / tugged along like a doll in his dizzy stupor / flimsy legs, confused eyes and brain / 'just relax, baby — AFTER ALL, YOU ASKED FOR THIS.'

Even after a cocktail of painkillers, Vox’s pelvis still throbbed while re-reading the text.

Beads of perspiration ran down the sleek material framing his screen [ when did it get so hot? ]. Vox gazed up at the other, arms and legs crossed in a [ defensive ] RELAXED position. Out of politeness [ and fear ] he waited to reply after Ozzie finished / apple butter speech slipping out with ease.

*﹕// " Gotta say, it’s a BIG honor — such PRAISE from the King of Lust himself . . . you flatter me, really! " He shifts, now lounging about yet keeping perfect posture somehow.
