I was watching Beast Wars (highly recommend if you love 90s brain rot humor) and can we take a moment to discuss a highly underused species in the transformers universe?

I'm talking about these mother fuckers, the Vok.

Like, we know SO LITTLE about them other than that they are extremely powerful and highly advanced. Like, we don't even know if these are their real forms! Are they just Easter eggs in reference to the transformers writers and hasbro? Or are they something entirely different?

I DEMAND ANSWERS!

Trying to write a Transformers/RWBY crossover is interesting because of the implications and parallels certain characters have with each other

For instance, RWBY has the brother Gods of Light and Darkness who dabble in creation and destruction, and Transformers has Primus and Unicron, Transformer Gods, entities of Light and Darkness, creation and destruction, and Order vs Chaos

Alternatively, consider the Vok from Beast Wars

An enigmatic race of higher beings, conducting experiments on the world that would Birth humanity, are callously nonchalant about destroying/leaving behind their works when it "fails", and destroy a moon on their way out

Dear Vector Prime, exactly what is the Transmetal Driver? Megatron just seemed to have it without any explanation, and all we know of its powers is it stores Vok data, can upgrade techno-organics to Transmetal 2s, and even in some instances repair fatal wounds or even revive the dead, in the case of Blackarachnia.

Dear Driver Delver,

The Vok’s infamous “Planet Buster” was more than just a simple superweapon. During the Vok’s stay on Earth, the enigmatic aliens initially moved the artificial moon into prehistoric Earth’s orbit to act as a blunt terraforming instrument: its gravitational influence caused increased tectonic activity, which made it easier for the Vok to seed the young world’s crust with abundant supplies of raw energon. More importantly, however, the artificial moon’s unprepossessing surface concealed a sophisticated suite of sensory instruments and a interconnected network of data spheres, each one a library of information relating to the project: at any given moment, the moon was scanning the world below and gathering raw data on the planet’s atmospheric conditions, the evolution of its flora and fauna, and the development of sapient life-forms.

When the Cybertronians carelessly blundered into the Vok’s careful laboratory, automated sensors aboard the moon turned a fragment of its attention to the aliens. Using scans of Optimus Primal’s biology, combined with ongoing observation of what the Transformers dubbed the “Beast Wars”, the moon gathered a great deal of data regarding their biology, history, and sociology. In time, its archives had gathered and processed all the necessary data required to forge and program a protoform from raw materials, then improve upon the base design to create genetically modified warriors whose sparks could crystallize into solid form to manifest supernatural telekinetic abilities—until the day moon’s frustrated creators put their contingency plan into play and wiped the slate clean.

The Planet Buster’s destruction rained chunks of debris across the planet and wiped out almost all of the Vok’s accumulated Earth archives—save for a small fragment of the Planet Buster which fell to Earth and remained buried in a riverbank for some time until the Predacon Inferno discovered the strange device while on patrol. Intrigued by the alien data encoded within the disk, Megatron experimented further on what he dubbed the “Transmetal driver”, and its hard-coded ability to manipulate the Cybertronian genome to create enhanced warriors. However, the Transmetal driver had been damaged by its passage through Earth’s atmosphere and corrupted by the quantum surge. Cybertronians exposed to its energies did indeed evolve into stronger forms, but both their robot and alternate forms became monstrous amalgamations of organic flesh and living metal, and most struggled to control their own beast mode instincts. Combined with the long-lasting effects of the quantum surge, some of the crashed stasis pods on Earth, who would go on to play a role in the conflict between Magmatron and Razorbeast, would be affected to varying degrees by the long-distance radiation it produced over time.

In VoK, Reese and Hotahs immediately were up each others asses and then they made this weird ass thrupple shit where they would include Carl and then exclude them. Honestly I felt kinda bad for them because Reese would lure them in and then all their characters would go fucking emo. Talk about bullying

❤️ - What is one of Vok's best memories? (CW essentially assisted suicide) Vok's best memory is getting to murder the royal family of his kingdom. Even as someone that finds pleasure in violence and slaughter, there's still alot of guilt he feels when done, but the king needed him and his family killed off, it was a task he specifically requested of his knights, Vok being the only one with the guts to do so. There was nothing for Vok to feel guilty about, and the act of killing such important people was a thrill he'll likely never get to feel again.

🍀 - What originally inspired Bou? Bou, ik I havent talked about them a whole lot rip, but they started out as a Zelda OC of sorts. Friend and I made human forms for a bunch of the dragons, including Gleeok, who was a pair of twins (Gle and Eok) with a long lost triplet (Bou)! I reworked them to be a DND character, changing their species but keepin their background as a petty thief street rat generally the same.

Will we see the terror cons Primus Unicron Logos prime Predaking Sharkticons Gnaw Sunder thunderwing some heralds of unicron the vok strika obsidian & primon but as the alpha prime since he was a convoy last time

We have a group of crime family members calling themselves the Terrorcons. They ruled a good chunk of Kaon for a good portion of the Age of Balance, and are rumored to be connected to a massive beast of war known as Abominus, said to be one of the last natural Gestalta.

Primus and Unicron are, as we understand, metaphorical beings for the balance of positive and negative traits, and anyone who says otherwise is probably raised in a very spiritual household.

Logos Prime is a latecomer to the spiritual landscape of Cybertron, with some arguing he's the Thirteenth Prime and others that he was some kind of philosopher.

There are many bots with Shark-alt modes, and perhaps some of the odder ones are the saurian-fish hybrid beings that have taken residence aboard the Lodestar after they were fried from their Quintesson master.

Gnaw is a name we know of, but what it's connected to is unclear, though some theorize it has something to do with the aforementioned Sharkticons.

Sunder is one of a few criminals who self-identified as a member of the Autobots, but the "Tetrahax Ripper" is mostly disregarded as just another monster.

Thunderwing worked under the command of several Decepticons including Megadeath, though these days its believed he's operating on his own terms after an encounter with wandering Hero Adrestia.

There is, as far as we know, no group calling themselves the "Heralds of Unicron." There's a band called the "Knights of Unicron," but they're an edgy hair metal band.

What's a Vok?

Strika and Obsidian are a pair of generals currently helping with repairs on Acadeimos. They're believed to be the parents of Cadet Blastcharge, but according to them they don't know how to parent so, uh, draw from that how you will.

I'm pretty sure we have files on Focus Convoy / Primon you can find.
