I finally got back to painting after the train wreck that was March is done! I swear the fates really hated March this year. First round we got the mini Meatwool Alchemy Lab Badge and the cookie bookmark! I plan on doing a gingerbread bookmark next since I really liked how the cookie bookmark came out. They'll be laminated and ready to equipped with clips to be attached to my main dolls if April proves to be a far kinder month (March can go in the toilet.)

i’ve touched on my thoughts of askbrvrandcompany once or twice already, but the short answer is no, i have no plans on ever returning to that blog, despite its popularity even four years after its abandonment.

while i do still hold a fondness for my old pokepasta OCs, i don’t have the same attachment i did that inspired me to constantly draw for them every day.

ultimately, i make my art solely for myself, and i want to move on to newer projects, instead of bringing back older ones for nostalgia’s sake.

okay so. today is day 22 of fishuary right? weeeelll funny story, back in day 14 i somehow managed to misread the prompt and did todays 'favourite fish' instead of day 14s actual prompt of 'fictional fish' :P

so all yhat goes to say that i am taking it as a prompt swap and today i have drawn a little voideye fish (from the game dredge!!!)

MerMay Day 18

Marauder

This one took so long. Do you know how hard it was to find a shark with horns? And the one I found isn’t even that big! I also took a lot of creative liberties regarding said horns.

I based the Marauder on Hibodus (extinct shark) and an oceanic whitetip (not extinct), with some further inspiration from the cleft mouth shark (fictional) in Dredge because that game has given me quite the brainrot. Technically it’s still not done because I haven’t drawn the axe yet but, man was my brain fried.

Marauders are one of the most dangerous of the Sea Demons. Ranging in size greatly, Marauders can be anywhere between 7 to 40 feet long depending on the mer they once were. Despite their decayed appearance Marauders are still as cunning and sharp witted as the were alive.

As far as ranking in the Sea Demon hierarchy Marauders are equal to the Deep Ones but still take orders from the Makyrs.

Their arsenal consists of vicious axes imbued with eldritch energy, and sharp hooks used to drag ships and surface folk into the cold depths. May the gods have mercy upon any ship that crosses their path.

Some WIP inks that are awaiting to be painted! First two are mini badges for my plush dolls to wear, one of which also doubles as a bookmark X3 The bottom is basically the Foxlings being outfitted for the Welcome Home Fan Fiction I'm doing on the side for fun. I honestly adore how the outfit designs came out for them, this has a pretty high possibility of becoming the new default outfits. There's a nice simplicity that just sticks pretty well to them and looks pretty adorable to boot.

Inside its eye, a perpetual pattern repeats. Red cyclones meld through shimmering green swirls. The abyss burns through you.

My Dredge earring collection is expanding!

I made the top three earlier this year, and the bottom two I just made today! The top row is the cod/all-seeing cod, barreleye/voideye, and the boat. The bottom row is the congor eel/sprouting eel and the grey mullet/gleaming mullet. I’m aiming to have at least one pair themed around a fish from each area of the game (+the Pale Reach and open ocean)

Elatha, god of the Hound Moon

Rarely called the lonely prince, or Voideyes, but most know Elatha as Hound, forever chasing the twin Moon Dancers across the cosmos. His Aunts, who are his superiors and are quite cruel to the weak, small moon god, have to literally summon him most of the time, making Elatha's debt endless to them. There is nothing he can do that would earn his freedom from that debt, so they force him to do things for them that are borderline dangerous, often humiliating, abusive, and keeps him under their control. Very few mortals know him as more then Hound, due to his Aunts refusing to allow him to be in any other shape but his hound one, in public.

Elatha is very lonely, when he's not summoned to the Palace, he's stuck in a realm connected to his moon, and only has the company of two loyal hounds granted to him by his mother and a rabbit from his father before his parents left him to his Aunt's care (they still are alive but they have very little connection to their son and are very busy and distant). As such Elatha tends to daydream a lot, and read every single romance novel he can.
