Josh Gad believes Frozen 3 is worth the wait in a recent podcast | Latest Updates | News
Tumblr media
In a People's article, it is revealed, when Josh Gad appeared in an episode of The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw podcast on SiriusXM, that Frozen 3, is coming out in 2027 for a reason because it's worth the wait. He obviously keeps tight lipped on the details of the movie due to being sworn to secrecy on, but here's what he is able to tell us:
“There’s a reason the movie is coming out in 2027. And that is because no one wants to rush this. Everyone wants this to not just be a sequel or a money grab. They want this to be absolutely worthy of the story we set out to make in 2013 (in the first Frozen movie). And we want to give audiences something that is worth the years of waiting and years of anticipation. And I know that they are actively working on that. And I know that they have a story that they are very, very, very excited about. And beyond that, I think I’ll have Disney lawyers knocking down my door. But buckle up because I think they have something incredible in store,”.
Reading this makes me really really excited because it builds up the anticipation and suspense of this new story. Some people think they're making another movie because of the money but that's not it - they said it themselves before that they would only make a movie if they have a good story to tell.
I like how they're really learning from the main mistake of Frozen 2 which was rushing things. Back during the making of Frozen 2, Jennifer Lee was CCO Walt Disney Animation Studios as well as director of the movie, and that big role had her really busy and unable to allow her to have her full focus and attention on the story of the sequel and hence rushed it last minute making decisions without thinking them through. That was the main reason Frozen 2 isn't as liked as the first movie. But this time, Jennifer Lee has quit the role of CCO, passing it to someone else, in order to have her full focus on Frozen 3 and 4. That's why I'm positive about the upcoming movies, despite how Frozen 2's situation. The few years long production of the new movies gives them enough time to focus on the details and think thoroughly about each decision they make for the movie.
I don't expect everyone to read this and be 100% positive about it because I understand you'd still want to remain cautious about it and see if it's worth the wait yourselves, and I totally respect that. I too am remaining cautious and keeping my extreme excitement for when we see the trailer and get our first looks on it. But I do hope this gives a little bit of relief to those who are really worried about the movie.
Any other interviews or updates I may have missed or just any questions you may have, please let me know! Thank you! ❄️

Once again, I am only counting films from the WDAS line-up, so no Sally, Roxanne, Pixar heroines, etc. Plus, in order to be fair, I stuck ONLY with 2D/traditionally animated ladies AND only human/humanoid characters, hence why Amelia is the cut-off point. (And obviously, none of the Official Princesses count, including Pocahontas and Mulan).
Happy voting! ❤

Tiana Scrapped At Walt Disney Animation Studios Due High Production Costs, Holiday Special Being Produced Instead As Walt Disney Animation Studios Drops TV Series Approach With Disney Television Animation Taking Over Series Based On Their Films.
Back in December 2020, Walt Disney Animation Studios announced a approach of producing high budget TV series for the Disney+ service one of them was based on The Princess And The Frog with "Tiana" a series set after the events of the film.
The all-new adventures for this series would explore both Maldonia and Tiana’s beloved hometown, New Orleans.
However, since that initial announcement over five years ago, we’ve heard very little about the project, though Disney did confirm at last summer’s D23 Ultimate Fan Event that it was still moving ahead with the series. Today, THR has reported that Walt Disney Animation Studios has cancelled the “Tiana” series as part of the studio’s new strategy, which is moving away from making long-form original animated content for Disney+ a similar path that sister studio Pixar Animation Studios stated in 2024 following the release of "Dream Productions" and "Win Or Lose".
Additionaly a animated film slated for a Disney+ release was also scrapped at Walt Disney Animation Studios Vancouver.
This was previously hinted as a follow up series to "Win Or Lose" was in early development at Pixar with the project being reworked as new animated film slated for a theatrical release. The goal of both Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios for future animation projects is just focusing on theatrical animated films, television specials ("Toy Story Of Terror", "Toy Story That Time Forgot" "Olaf's Frozen Adventure") and short films than streaming series.
The reason of Tiana's cancelation was that despite the best efforts from the crew, including several changes to the creative team, "TIANA" ultimately could not get to where it needed to be given high production costs as the production.. Walt Disney Animation Studios is developing a holiday special based on "The Princess And The Frog" with Tiana's former showrunner Joyce Sherri attached as director and writer, and Stephen J. Anderson ("Meet The Robinsons") also directing.
Additionaly insiders mention that future TV shows based on Walt Disney Animation Studios IPs will be handled by the Disney Television Animation unit for Disney Channel and Disney+. There's unconfirmed rumblings at the Disney Branded Television unit of a potential Raya And The Last Dragon television series in development for Disney Channel.

Frozen Fever: Elsa's flower mystery: Part 3 - I think I finally figured it out!
So as some of you may know, I've been on a mission to find the exact flower Elsa's pink flower in Frozen Fever was inspired by. So far I haven't been successful with it. I have found ones that are quite close to the flower but not enough for me to say that it was the one that inspired the flowers Elsa resembles on her dress in Frozen Fever.
(Links to previous parts below)
Here's what Elsa's flower looks like on her dress and in the vase:
Tumblr media
From here what we can identify, is that the flower used is a deep pink with leaves that resemble the shape of the flower. The flowers differ in size too. The petals have a sling bend to them.
As we go through what my options were in my previous parts, I want to rule them out, briefly saying why until we conclude to the one I have newly found.
In Part 1, my options were,
Stargazer Lily
Tumblr media
The shape is off to be Elsa's flower. It's too wavy too. However when in a vase, the leaves do have a drop to them as can be seen in the Frozen Fever flower vase. Then again if this was the flower used for inspiration, they would include closed up lilies as in this photo.
Rain Lily
Tumblr media
Despite this being a more purply pink, it could be in the lighting her. Elsa's flower was a bit more red. This is most likely the closest one of them all. However when in a vase, the leaves act like grass.
River (Kaffir) Lily
Tumblr media
The flowers bend upwards but Elsa's bend down slightly. Leaves don't match up either.
And in Part 2, my options were,
Lilium Red Country
Tumblr media
These flowers are too red and the petals are lifted too high. However the leaves do form a flower/ star shape. The flower also comes in pink but like the Stargazer lily, it would include closed up lilies.
Soiree Kawaii
Tumblr media
The petals seem to be quite spaced out and have a rounded tip plus they are quite small and have a consistent shape.
Ceratopetalum Gummiferum Alberys Red
Tumblr media
The gap between the petals is a 'u' shape and are too spaced out and flowers are quite crowded together. The shade of pink/ red is also off.
Christmas Cactus
Tumblr media
Shape is far from similar to Elsa's. Has too many petals. Leaves are obviously cactus like and spiky which is not an aspect seen in the pink flower Elsa uses.
Azalea Startstyle Pink
Tumblr media
Long thin petals and leaves and very spiky looking. So this isn't it.
My newfound options are,
Egyptian Pink Starflower
Tumblr media
Like the Rain Lily, this seems to be a close match too. This has a white centre and Elsa's flower as seen in the vase also has a white centre. In some art of the flowers, it's seen with a simple yellow centre. However, the leaves are also quite large in comparison with the flower itself.
Spring Starflower Ipheion Uniflorum
Tumblr media
This flower is also alike but is quite a paler pink to be the exact flower inspired for the one used. But the line in the middle of each petal is there so it's a possible inspiration for the flower seen.
However none of these flowers have similar leaves to what can be seen if the plant Elsa uses for her dress. Flower/ star shaped leaves do exist but ones with flowers.
The leaf plant that could be possible as inspiration for this pink flower is
Sweet Woodruff
Tumblr media
It's almost identical to the leaves in the plant Elsa uses with the expectation of an added leaf. The flowers that are with this plant are called Galium Odoratum. They're small, white and have 4 petals.
Conclusion
When I made part 1 and 2, I just wanted to suggest what it could be, what the options for this flower are. I thought I'd find the exact flower but I didn't and hence never quite concluded what it was.
But now looking back I don't think there is one exact flower that looks like that. I believe it's a combination of a few similar looking flowers and plants. The inspiration for Elsa's flower seems to be a combination of the flowers: Rain Lily, Egyptian Pink Starflower, Spring Starflower Ipheion Uniflorum and the plant: Sweet Woodruff. The Rain Lily has the right colour, shape and six petals, the Egyptian Pink Starflower also has the colour and shape but also has a white centre, the Spring Starflower Ipheion Uniflorum has the petal details and the six petals, and the Sweet Woodruff has the start - flower leaf shape.
So it's highly possible that the flower Elsa uses to create her dress was inspired by multiple flowers and a star shaped leaf plant to create their own plant that would feature a snowflakes qualities for the purpose of design and theme on Elsa's gown. It's possible that there were more flowers and plants used for the inspiration but I guess we'll never know unfortunately.
But fun fact - the flowers Elsa uses for her dress are also seen in the tent Anna comes out of at the end of Frozen 2! It's probably a common flower used in Arendelle for decoration and one of Elsa's favourites.

Jennifer Lee: “As much as we enjoyed the way the world would embrace our characters… we realised that we wouldn’t do justice to them if we didn’t just go back to the characters. So we always make ourselves push everything aside and say, what would Anna do? What would Elsa do? …They don’t make the same choices as some people would want them to make… I feel like those characters, to me they’re real, to me they speak, and they tell us where they want to go. And that’s going to be our true north on everything: to let them tell us where they need to go.”
