Long overdue post it is. :)
When Noemi said, “UB403B ka”, then that’s it. I’LL SEE YOU, SONG MINO – in flesh. I’ll witness how MOA Arena turns into Nebula blue ocean – forrealz! Sabi ko, makakuha ako ng ticket o hindi, okay lang. Kung oo, edi advance Merry Christmas, Elaine. Kung hindi, edi better luck next time. E wala, magilas si Noemi. Haha! 2 weeks after ko makuha yung ticket, saka lang ako nagpaalam.  NOTE: Whoever is reading this, don’t do the same. Payagan ako o hindi, tutuloy ako. The first time I actually asked permission, hindi na agad ako pinayagan but I worked my way until the mother said yes. Maswerte lang ako that time at nakatsamba, plus, I’m on my internship kaya free ako from exams and other acad shizz. Pero kung nagkataon sigurong hindi, wala akong chance maka-attend. :(
But thank you for making my inseo heart happy.
Here’s to another check on the bucket list.
Plus, it was my first time outside my province with just one friend with me. :)

Devoted: Dandelion (Katlaska) - Kamylove
Summary: A backstage visit and a nosy newbie.
A/N: Another entry in my collection of Katlaska one-shot ficlets. As if anybody but me is still interested in Katlaska!
It's only Ru girls they know well in the dressing room, so when Alaska finally gets there she feels comfortable giving Katya a sweet kiss, chaste but long.
A few of the girls whistle, so Alaska grabs Katya's ass, too, before pulling away.
"Now I have to fix my lipstick again, you bitch," Katya says with a wink and flounces over to the mirrors.
There's a roar of applause and screams behind the closed door. Alaska quickly calculates who's missing: the winner of the most recent season, who's very young and still a bit of a fangirl and a little too interested in Katya and Alaska's relationship.
("Every damn day," Katya had said on the phone, at the beginning of the tour. "She asked me how often we have phone sex this morning. Which I would be thrilled to talk about if I was fucking anybody on the planet except for you." "Because you looooove me," Alaska had teased, making Katya huff and hang up on her. Alaska immediately called her back and said, "So. Phone sex?" and Katya did not hang up on that.)
Katya cackles at her in the mirror, knowing exactly what Alaska's thinking.
"Fuck off," Alaska tells her, just as the door opens.
"Ohmigod, Alaska! I didn’t know you were coming! Are you here to see Katya? Is this a booty call?"
Alaska dodges both questions while air kissing the poor girl, who calls herself Dandie Lyon and has the atomic yellow hair to match. "I'm here to see you and only you, gurl," Alaska tells her.
"I told her to leave you alone, bitch," Manila says under her breath, to Alaska. But Alaska thinks it's sweet. The youngest girls met them all on TV screens long before they met in person, sometimes before puberty. She doesn’t mind being someone’s childhood hero, though she does find the obsession with her private life awkward.
"That's so nice to say! You're so nice! I always heard you were a bitch, but you're so nice!"
Alaska laughs. "Don't believe everything you read online, honey."
"I love your coat," Dandie says. "And that t-shirt! Are you growing out your hair? It's so cute! How was Berlin?"
"Berlin was greaaaat," Alaska says, turning on the vocal fry. "How's the tour treating you?"
That gets Dandie going, and gets Alaska and Katya out of the limelight. The tour is so much fun! She's hardly sleeping! There's free dick everywhere! The fans have given her so many gifts! The other girls ("you older girls," she says) have been so helpful and have leant her makeup and clothes and wigs and lube! ("I let her wear that trashy red wig of yours," Katya had texted, "and I don't know what the hell she did with it, but I might have to send it off to its inevitable end in the bin. Just thought you should be the first to know.")
Alaska loves these kids; they know more about fashion and social media than performance, but they're curious and passionate and hopeful, and all that is tough to keep up with the cynicism borne of years on the road. But she's not paying full attention to Dandie, thanks to Katya. Katya's now sitting in a director's chair and licking her scarlet red lips, and she yanks one bare leg straight up so she can pat what should be a tuck, but very much is not. Alaska feels it in her sphincter and her eyes go wide.
"You are such a fucking whore," Detox says, laughing, to Katya.
"I am going to fucking kill you," Alaska says.
Katya straightens herself out in a split second and poses with her legs demurely crossed, just in time for Dandie to turn around.
"What happened?" she asks. "What did you do?" But she doesn't know who "you" is, so she just looks wildly at all of them.
"Monet's a whore," Katya says.
Everyone else agrees, laughing and teasing, and Alaska's heart is warmed by how much they all care about her and Katya, enough to protect their privacy even when Katya's making that virtually impossible.
"Someday," Katya pronounces, "the world will know all the secrets of my wiener. But today is not that day, because today is night, and my wiener is worn out from flapping useless but tumescent in the wind."
Dandie turns to Alaska and asks, "Is she like this in bed? Like, do you even understand her?"
Alaska's eyebrows go up. Katya rescues her by saying, "Wouldn't you love to know, my young apprentice?"
"I mean, I'm totally open to that." Dandie's joking, but at the same time it's not quite a joke. "If you're looking for--"
"Ain't nobody looking for that," Kennedy says from the mirrors. She doesn't even turn around. "You better keep that in your pants until you find a sweet young thing to lick it, and you are not going to find that sweet young thing in this room."
"I'm sweet and very, very young," Katya says.
"You're bitter and decrepit," Monet says.
"Has Katya had plastic surgery?" Dandie asks Alaska.
Katya waggles her eyebrows, daring Alaska to answer.
"Are tattoos plastic surgery?" Alaska says. "Because those are definitely botched."
"Not the snake one!" Katya says, pointing to the snake around her ankle that she got before they were even together--it has nothing to do with Alaska. But she leers at Alaska as she says it, because what nobody knows is that Katya's got another snake, a sweet little coiled snake, in a place not even Katya can see without some advanced gymnastics.
"Was that eye sex?" Dandie asks. "I think that was eye sex. Guys, was that eye sex?"
"Whatever goes on in somebody's own brain is none of our business," Manila says.
The club manager pokes her head in. "Katya, you're up next. Oh, hi, Alaska, nice to see you!" And she disappears again.
Monet and Manila steer Dandie away, to give Katya and Alaska a chance to exit gracefully.
"I'm going to go watch from the floor," Alaska says. She gives their friends a grateful smile and follows Katya out to the dark corridor, where they can have a private moment.
Katya kisses her, licking Alaska's lips and nose and chin.
Alaska laughs and gives Katya's semi-hard dick a squeeze through her skirt. "I knew it," she says.
"Your very presence has me at half mast, Ms. Thunderfuck. Now go think about what orders you want to give me later."
Alaska smirks and squeezes again before Katya hurries off.

WINNER Cross Tour in Manila
Tumblr media
January 25, 2020 - 2 months ago, I have attended WINNER Cross Tour in Manila which was held at Mall of Asia Arena. This is the 3rd time they are coming here since the WIN era, and I’m so thankful that they decided to have Manila included for their Cross Tour. 💙
The concert was a 3-hour long that I surely enjoyed and had fun! There were parts that was for Manila Inner Circles like WINNER dancing to Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala” and dressing up with Hanbok since their concert also falls on a Lunar New Year. Read more and know my fangirl experience during WINNER’s Cross Tour in Manila.
Tumblr media
Days before the concert, my friend and I was waiting for the announcement for the raffle winners of Soundcheck, Fan Meeting, and Soundcheck hoping to win at least one of them. And luckily, we won a Soundcheck pass to see WINNER!
BEFORE CONCERT
My friend, Lizette and I went early to MOA to get our tickets, wristbands for soundcheck, Cross album, and basically just fall in line the whole day. Falling in line was basically 50% of our morning activity that day.
We went inside past 12nn and the guards asks us to fall in line again while waiting for the time for us go inside. We went inside at around 3pm for the soundcheck.
SOUNDCHECK
Tumblr media
Here’s how near we were standing to the stage while waiting for WINNER’s soundcheck. Photos, videos, or any recordings were not allowed during the soundcheck, thus the lack of videos or photos. But nonetheless, I made sure that I enjoyed the moment watching WINNER up-close.
Tumblr media
The soundcheck lasted around 30 minutes. WINNER sang 3 songs namely: Air, Love Me Love,  and Ah Yeah.
During the soundcheck SeungYoon asked if we already ate:
SY: Have you eaten your lunch?
ICs: Noooo
SY: Why?? Why did you not eat your lunch? You need to eat, you need energy.
*ICs explains how’s the day has been*
SY: Ahh you were in line waiting for us? Thank you!
ICs: YEEES!!
Mino then said: “Sigaaaaw! Good Morning!”
Those 30 minutes will be so memorable and be cherished especially remembering how close I was with WINNER - seeing them again. 💙
CONCERT
Inner Circles kept on singing along while WINNER’s music videos were playing on the screen. We even requested for the sounds to be louder cause it was kind of hard to hear the songs. 🤣
Tumblr media
After a few repeated music videos, the lights were finally turned off and a video of WINNER was shown.
WINNER opened the concert with their hit song, ‘Everyday' followed by ‘Love Me Love Me‘.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone was so energetic seeing WINNER again on stage. We were singing so happily along with WINNER.
Seunghoon even said, “Mga bibi ko!! Make some noise!!” which made the crowd cheered more.
Tumblr media
After Love Me Love Me, they greeted the whole crowd.
YOON: This is Seungyoon! Manila!
WINNER: Hello, this is WINNER!
YOON: Annyeong! Mabuhay! Welcome to the Cross concert, Manila. Thank you for being with us with this great moment. Let’s start the show!
JINU: Hello everyone! I’m Jinu! We’re so glad to be in Manila, here. Thank you for coming. Let’s have a great time!
MINO: Wazzup Manila! This is Mino from WINNER! I miss you just so much. Finally, we comeback to Manila to see you all again. Are you all ready? You’re ready guys?
ICs: YEEEEES!!!
MINO: C’mon, make some noise!
*ICs cheered more!!*
MINO: Thank you!
HOONY:  Kamusta???! I can see all my Hoonies right here!! Namiss niyo ba kaming lahat??! Namiss din namin kayo!!!
YOON: Are you ready?! Alright, let’s go to the Islaaaand!
'Island‘ was performed next then, 'Really Really.’ I could hear the fanchants all for WINNER. 💙
Tumblr media
A short clip was shown as WINNER went backstage. It showed a short skit that was truly WINNER style. 😂
Tumblr media
‘Mola,’ ‘Dress Up,’ and ‘Special Night’ were performed by WINNER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seeing them see to perform again live was so surreal. It felt it was a party than a concert. Everyone was just having fun with WINNER.
Tumblr media
YOON: With this special band, we prepared a special stage for you to enjoy WINNER’s emotional music. Alright, Manila, are you ready?!
WINNER started with their emotional songs with ‘Different, ’Have a Good Day,’ and ‘Raining.‘
Tumblr media
Hearing ‘Different’ brings back the starting times with WINNER. This song was surely a very emotional song for every Inner Circle.
Tumblr media
‘Have a Good Day’ was next and WINNER really made those emotions of the songs feel right in our seats.
Tumblr media
A little upbeat song, ‘Raining.’ Vocals of the four were such on point and made me believe they really ate their CDs. 😂😂😂
‘OMG,’ and ‘Empty’ were up next to continue more with their emotional songs. I really do love all their songs. Each song is a masterpiece. 😭😭😭
Tumblr media
Hearing ‘Empty’ also made me so so emotional. 😭 It just reminds me so much of their WIN and debut era. 😭 💙
Tumblr media
While WINNER went to the backstage, their band played some music.
The solo stages were up next and Seunghoon was the first one to perform. He performed, ‘Flamenco,’ and ‘Serenade.’
Tumblr media
His dancing skills was really on point! 💯 Hoony made everyone scream with his performance.
Tumblr media
Hoony mentioned, “This is song is for all my mahal ko. Who’s my mahal ko? You’re my mahal ko, right? You guys, ready?” and it was the ‘Serenade’ song.
TOO. MUCH. FAN. SERVICE. 😂
Jinwoo was next with his song, ‘Call Anytime.’
Tumblr media
Jinu was mesmerizing while performing and at the same time so cuuute. 😍 His voice was just so calming.
Tumblr media
He performed ‘Call Anytime’ with Mino. Mino even said “I love you, Manila!”
This stage was just so cuuuute and charming, those two is just so... 😍
Next was WINNER’s leader, Seungyoon!
YOON: Hey Manila! Are you good? Let’s go!
Yoon sang ‘Instinctively,’ and ‘Wind.’
Tumblr media
Seungyoon’s voice has just this charismatic feeling that keeps you attracted to it. 💕
After singing ‘Instinctively,’ the crowd keeps cheering: “Kang Seungyoon! Kang Seungyoon!”
YOON: Wooow! You are amazing! 1st floor.. 2nd floor.. until 4th floor? Wooow!
Alright, I hope you guys got some good energy. Please sing along with this song, ‘Wind’ and I’ll sing it for the fans.
Tumblr media
‘Wind’ was performed and another charismatic performance by the leader. 💙
Mino as next and performed, ‘Trigger,’ and ‘Fiance.’
Tumblr media
We were looking for Mino on stage but he was not there but instead, he was singing backstage. 😅 🤣
Tumblr media
Mino was giving a different vibe with his performance. It’s always always different, but good different. MINO = 🔥 🔥 🔥
Tumblr media
Mino is Mino, and he never fails to amazed me (well, everyone in WINNER is, actually!). 😍
After all the solo stages, WINNER was on stage again started singing the chorus for ‘Movie Star.’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘Movie Star’ is one of the songs that I really do love hearing live while Inner Circles also sing along with WINNER. 🎤  This reminds me of WINNER Everywhere Tour since this was one of our fanprojects last 2018. 💙
WINNER went backstage, and another video was shown.
Tumblr media
The video was about WINNER talking about the trainee/WIN era to their first music video as WINER. Everyone was like “Awww” 😭 😭 😭
Next song performed was ‘So So,’ and ‘Don’t Be Shy.’
Tumblr media
Seeing ‘So So’ performance live for the first time was really different compared to watching them perform through videos.
Tumblr media
They changed their outfits with this stage and having their own personality shown with their clothes.
Tumblr media
‘Don’t Be Shy’ was such an adorable performance. It’s a feel good song that you can listen to anytime.
Tumblr media
During, we were looking for Seunghoon because he was not on stage. We later found out he was on the standing part! This Hoony really gave all the fan service!
It was time for another ment and talking to the crowd.
Tumblr media
YOON: Hey!
ICs: WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
YOON: You heard two new songs, right? ‘So So’ and ‘Don’t Be Shy’. Are you guys having fun tonight??
ICs: YEEES!!!
HOON: WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
ICs: WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
YOON: Ookay, thank you very much!
Guys, here’s our special audience. You know, Sandara is in here for the concert. Where is she? Can you see her? There!!
Thank you Sandara! And of course, thank you Manila, Philippines!!
How was everyone? We’re back with a new album and new concert for this tour so we’d like to meet you again, and we did! We practiced and prepared ourselves for the show. Did you like it?
ICs: YEEES!!!
YOON: Every time with this part, every step this part, we used to learn each other’s solo dance and with this part but today, we came back to Manila again. Hoony prepared something special for Manila, right?
Are you ready, Manila?! and Hoony are you ready?!
HOON: Yes, I am!!
YOON: Hoony, the teacher who is special. Tell them!
Then Seunghoon performed Tala! Yes, Sarah Geronimo’s Tala!!
Tumblr media
And he was amazing while dancing. Really every move is on point! Our dancer was so so good and every one was singing while he was dancing.
ICs: WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
YOON: Wow!!
MINO: Teacher, teach us!
*Seunghoon teaches WINNER the steps*
HOON: Solideu?! SOLID!!
YOON: SOLID!!
HOON: SOLID!!
Tumblr media
WINNER did try to learn ‘Tala.’ 😂  And they even dance to it! This was just so memorable!
Tumblr media
YOON: SOLID!!
Thank you for teaching us. (to Hoon)
MINO: Tala, Talaaa, Talaaa~
YOON: This one is really the most famous in the Philippines?
ICs: Isa pa! Isa pa! Isa pa!
One more time! One more time! One more time!
*Hoon started to dance Tala again*
MINO: Ayoseu dito-ah!
YOON: Ayos dito ha!
Hey Manila! We arrived in Manila yesterday and we met the fans in the signing event. Thank you for such a special memory and I hope to have more chances to meet you guys.
We had a plan for Philippines festival, right? We couldn’t come here. So we are really sorry. Anyway, guys.. we are hanging to the last part of the show.
ICs: NOOOOO!
YOON: Aww, nooo. Ahhh noooo... You are not tired, right?
ICs: YESSSS!!
YOON: First floor, you are not tired, right?!
ICs: YESSSS!!
YOON: Second floor, you are not tired, right?!
ICs: YEEEESSSS!!
YOON: Third floor, you are not tired, right?!
ICs: YESSSS!!
YOON: Are you seating down now? (🤣🤣🤣)
No, no, stand up! Thank you!
HOON: Sandara, are you ready???
ICs: YESSSS!!
YOON: No not you! Sandara!
DARA: YEEEAAAH!!!
YOON: Okay okay, if you are ready..MAKE SOME NOISE!!!
Let’s go Millions!!!
***EDIT: Editing this on March 20, 2020 and WINNER keeps dancing ‘Tala’ on their VLive. They can’t move on with Tala! Seunghoon even remembers the steps. 💙
And ‘Millions’ was performed next!
Tumblr media
Since everyone was still so hyped with their ment earlier, the crowd was singing so loud with WINNER during this song.
‘Ah Yeah’ was the next song WINNER performed.
Tumblr media
Every Inner Circle was just so hyper and energetic! You can feel the happy vibes inside the arena.
The fun during the concert just can’t stop with their song, ‘Immature.’ They look so happy while performing with this song.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WINNER is just so adooorable. 💙
‘La La’ was up next and here everyone including WINNER was so wild!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WINNER 💙 We’ll always remember WINNER forever.
Tumblr media
Poor maknae leader but just so adorable!!! 💙 💙 💙
LIGHTS WERE OUT.
Another video was shown of WINNER practicing.
When the video ended, it was time for Inner Circles’ fanproject to sing for WINNER to call for an encore.
Encore started with their sonng, ‘Luxury.’
Tumblr media
The members have a toy gun that dispenses paper money with their faces on the money.
Tumblr media
This part was funny since Mino dispensed all of the paper money in an instant, he checked the toy guy again cause it wasn’t letting out any paper money. 🤣 He acted so sad in a cutely manner.
Tumblr media
So what he did, he grabbed all the paper money that as on the floor and threw it on the crowd instead. 🤣
After all those paper money, ‘Boom’ was the next song performed.
Tumblr media
With this stage, they still continue to get those paper money on the floor and throw it at the crowd. 🤣
Afterwards, WINNER greeted everyone a Happy New Year since the Manila tour falls on the same day as the Lunar New Year.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOON: Maligayang Bagong Taon!
YOON: Maligayang Bagong Taon!
WINNER: Maligayang Bagong Taon!
YOON: Happy New Year everyone! Today is Traditional Korea's New Year, the Lunar. So we wore Korean traditional clothes, Hanbok.
Inner Circles started their fanproject for Seungyoon which was to sing ‘Happy Birthday.’
Tumblr media
ICs: Happy Birthday to youu! Happy Birthday to youu!
YOON: Why are you singing a birthday song? Who's birthday?
HOON: Happy Birthday!
YOON: Thank you guys! But it's the fifth (25th), guys! It's not my birthday!!
Thank you guys!
Wow Manila! Thank you for my birthday. Thank you, yaaay!
You have one more this (banner)? This?
*Hoon reads the banner from ICs*
YOON: Hey Manila! Let's take a picture with us.
HOON: We'll take a picture-ta! Picture-ta!!
Tumblr media
YOON: Hey guys! Thank you making such a beautiful day.

YOON: Wow! Amaziing!
Hey guys, now, we are so happy and thankful to be with you guys at our world tour beginning of the year, 2020.
Alright, looking back, every time, everyday, every second with you. It was the brilliant moments of my life. Thank you for making the brilliant moments today, thank you Manila. I hope you remember this one until we meet again.
You made a movie called, ‘Youth’ with us, and the title is ‘WINNER.’
Thank you Manila!
Alright, let’s move on the ‘Really Really’
Everyone say, Yeaaah~
ICs: Yeaaaah!
YOON: Say Manila!
ICs: Manilaaaa!
YOON: Say WINNER~
ICs: WINNER!!
YOON: Let’s go Really Really!
‘Really Really’ was performed for the encore.
Tumblr media
It was REALLY REALLY like a party with WINNER and my fellow Inner Circles. 💙
Seunghoon even made a headstand and after falling I think he said, “I’m so hungry! I’m so hungry...” 🤣
The concert with the last two songs: ‘La La’ and ‘Everyday.’ And with this part, I wasn’t able to document the parts that good since I was enjoying the whole part.
Tumblr media
WINNER sprinkled water to the standing area and the crowd even went wilder with it.
Tumblr media
‘Everyday’ made everyone just jump for WINNER knowing it was the last song for the concert.
Tumblr media
Inner Circles will ways remember WINNER everyday. 💙
As WINNER’s getting ready to leave the stage, Seungyoon said: “You guys are so crazy tonight! Thank you for making a brilliant day!”
Tumblr media
YOON: Thank you Manila! Thank you for your beautiful voices, Manila!
Tumblr media
I really did enjoy WINNER’s 3-hour concert. Last Everywhere tour it lasted for about 2 hours and I was suprised this Cross tour was 3-hour long. WINNER Cross tour was so much fun and no regrets seeing WINNER again (and again!). 💙
Truly, another artist that showed what real talent is all about. Thank you WINNER for not giving up during your trainee days and becoming WINNER, the artist that Inner Circles loves and supports.
We will always remember you and will wait for you until you comeback. 💙 💙 💙

Korean Air Unveils All-New Safety Video Starring Global K-pop Group SuperM
Tumblr media
SEOUL, 4th November 2019 – Korean Air unveiled a brand-new safety video in partnership with SM Entertainment, the largest entertainment company in South Korea.
On November 4, the new safety video starring SuperM, a global K-pop group, was aired on all Korean Air flights, starting with KE621, which departed from Incheon at 7.45 a.m. to Manila.
In-flight safety videos are required to present necessary safety information such as luggage storage, items banned during the flight, electronic device restrictions, no-smoking regulations, seat belt signs, emergency exits, actions to take when cabin pressure rises, and how to wear the life jacket.
Korean Air expects to deliver essential safety information more effectively by grabbing passengers’ attention with its new safety video.
All-new, innovative safety video to grab attention through entertainment
Tumblr media
Korean Air’s new safety video is unconventional, innovative and entertaining.
A renowned songwriter of SM Entertainment, Kenzie, created a project song called “Let’s go everywhere,” which was turned into a K-pop music video. By integrating safety rules into the music video, an unprecedented in-flight safety video was created.
The safety video features a mix of five music genres: hip-hop, R&B, electronic, deep house and synth pop. By mixing the various genres into one song, the video aims to capture the attention of a wide range of passengers.
There are several airlines that have introduced witty safety videos featuring national celebrities. There is also a case of a safety video in a music video form, in which airline employees appear to explain the safety rules. However, this is the first safety video in music video form that features influential K-pop artists.
“Safety does not have to be serious or boring,” said a Korean Air spokesperson who led the creation of the safety video. “We hope to deliver clear safety messages to our passengers through the brand-new safety video.”
Featuring global K-Pop artists SuperM and BoA, profits from new single album to be donated
Tumblr media
The cast of Korean Air’s new in-flight safety video is quite glamorous.
SuperM is a new project group recently created by SM Entertainment, with seven K-pop stars from existing SM boy groups: Taemin from Shinee, Kai and Baekhyun from Exo, Taeyong and Mark from NCT 127, and Ten and Lucas from WayV.
Furthermore, BoA, a famous K-pop singer, served as the narrator of the video, drawing much attention.
Comprised of already successful K-pop members, SuperM has quickly become very popular. On October 5, SuperM successfully held its first concert in Los Angeles, and they will soon begin a North American tour in November 2019. Moreover, SuperM’s first mini album recorded No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The safety video’s song, “Let’s go everywhere,” will be released as a single album on November 18. According to Korean Air, profits from the album will be donated in the names of Korean Air and SM Entertainment to the Global Poverty Project's Global Citizen campaign. Global Citizen is a campaign that aims to end extreme poverty, climate change and global inequality in collaboration with leaders of 193 UN member nations, governments, philanthropists and civil organizations.
Korean Air will host various events to promote its new safety video. A safety video sharing event will be held from November 4 to December 10, encouraging customers to share the video uploaded on Korean Air's Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/koreanair) on their own SNS channels. A model airplane with the SuperM livery will be awarded to 100 winners. The event will soon be followed by a dance cover event for “Let’s go everywhere” from November 18. A total of six teams will be selected and provided with Korean Air international round-trip tickets. Details can be found on Korean Air's website.
Contributing to global spread of K-pop culture
Tumblr media
Major airlines around the world have created unique in-flight safety videos that reflect culture and characteristics of their country.
For example, British Airways conveyed a witty safety message by featuring British celebrities in its safety video. A few years ago, Air New Zealand introduced a safety video themed after “Lord of the Rings,” featuring the Hobbit and elves. Virgin America also drew attention with its song-and-dance safety video.
Korean Air’s unique safety video drew on the popularity of K-pop and Korean culture. Korean Air’s collaboration with SuperM is expected to create great synergy in expanding its global impact and network.
With the launch of the new safety video, Korean Air plans to actively contribute to the spreading of K-pop and Korean pop culture around the world.

An Inner Circle First-Timer’s Concert Experience In Seoul [#WINNEREverywhereTourinSeoul]
So. If you tell me freakin’ one year ago if I’d be flying to Seoul for a Kpop concert, I’d smack you for slander.
Buuuuut here we are, a week after WINNER’s Everywhere Tour in Seoul :))))) I’ve just begun to recover. Literally, it took me a week to get through the stages of mourning and to accept that it’s over HAHAHUHU
Anyway, here’s my (and Liz’s) experience in attending a concert in Seoul!
---
Why we wanted to see them in Seoul (when it was sure they were gonna go to MANILA anyway):
1. It’s Liz’s annual bday trip gipp!! Or idk, this is part of the rationalization we thought of AHAHA. Initially, we were set for Singapore as it would be way cheaper for sure, but another reason came up....
2. We wanted to see them in their most “comfortable” version - Not sure if comfortable is the word, but I guess we wanted to see them how they were in their home country?? Speaking comfortably in Korean and all? We were anticipating that for other countries it would probably be just Yoon speaking most of the time (not that it’s a problem with us HAHA), and we wanted to see all them four being their natural makulit presence on stage (without them thinking about the language hinderance--even if kami yung hindi makaintindi sa kanila :)))) I know it’s a weird reasoning but :)))) And it’s been a long time since they’ve done a full concert in Seoul! We just wanted to be there in the kickoff concert. I mean, if we were willing to fly out to see them, o di todo na namin diba? Seoul it is!
--
How we got the tickets:
Here’s the thing: this is not our first rodeo. We’ve already successfully watched Coldplay in Singapore last year after (WHAT I THOUGHT WAS ALREADY) a bloody online ticketing war. Coldplay tickets were wiped out in 20 minutes, I think? But I was able to secure 7 tickets (3 VIP standing, 4 upper box tickets) after much death and resurrection.
We thought we were prepared for a WINNER ticketing war lol. We were not. Everything (or at least the seats we targeted) was more or less gone in less than 4 minutes.
There were two waves, one week apart. Both of them were intense :)))) I guess our third-world country internet cannot compete with their 5G data network?!
A HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Cams and Dianne for basically hand-holding me throughout the entire process of securing tickets from Seoul!! T_T Without them, we probably wouldn’t have gotten tickets. All transactions were smooth and hassle-free. There were a lot of K-ICs who also wanted G-ICs to attend the Seoul concert and thus were purchasing tickets so scalpers can’t get to them first. They also helped me with tips and advice on where to stay, where to go, etc etc as it was our first time in Korea. Sobrang bait and helpful nila as in! T_T
---
Of course that was only half of the problem:
In less than a month, we had to book flights (ANG MAHAL NA NITO SIYEMPRE), book hotel (Thank you Agoda for your occasional flash sales) and of course, VISA. We highly recommend TravelPros for your Korean visa processing needs! We spent around 700 pesos for this, and we got the visa in exactly 6 days. Super fast. Pero may drama pa kami dun sa visa requirements LORD HAHA pero hindi ko na kwento haba na nito. BASTA when we got the visa I wanted to throw a fiesta, ganung level =))
---
CONCERT D-Day~~~
We wanted to get in early-ish because we were anticipating the DVD / merch line.
The train was a bit confusing for this stop!! We knew we were not the only ones because some of the Koreans were also confused where to get off haha
Tumblr media
This ad greeted us before the exit!
Entering the Olympic Park Stadium~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sure enough the line was at least 500m already when we arrived at around 10:45.
AAAAAND YES I lined up for 2 hours for the DVD 0_0 Under the heat of Korean summer 0_0
Tumblr media
Questions in my mind while in queue:
1. why does everyone look so fresh except me
2. how to spot foreigners: they use umbrellas for the heat
3. Don’t be weak
4. why am I doing this again
Anyway, tada~
Tumblr media
Let’s just ignore the part where if we waited until 3pm, or at least when the line tapered off, I could have gotten it without the sunburn on my batok but where’s the fun in that no?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liz and teh boyfriend lined up for merch (mercifully it was shorter) and they were able to buy 2 lightsticks (OUR FIRST ONES YAY! Hirap daw lagyan ng battery lol) and shirts (X and XL lang ang available sizes but it still works out!?? What is this Korean sizing sorcery?!)
---
All the cafe / restos were full (Mamamoo was also having a concert that day!) so we had to settle for convenience store food :))) It wasn’t bad!
Met Cams and lots of other PH-ICs who travelled from MNL! You can check out #ICsPHGoesToSeoul to see what everyone was up to while in Seoul.
Tumblr media
We got a lot of fans (as in pamaypay) from different fansites (and thus we didn’t have to line up, yay!) and actually saw the faces behind big accounts* HAHA it was surreal.
Actually, the whole thing was pretty surreal (YA THINK) in a good way. Since it’s our first time to attend a KPop concert, we didn’t know a lot of things. One of those was... lining up for freebies given by fansites.
Girl, INTENSE. As in,  pila kung pila ang mga bagets and not-so bagets. Paano naman kasi ang cute ng freebies! Fans, stickers, photocards, etc. Looking back feeling ko dapat pumila/bumili kami BUT holehhhshit it was really so hot, and after lining up for 2 hours we wanted to just save our energy.
Super tita namin right?!
Also most of the masternims who were offering their freebies were all speaking in Korean (malamang) so we didn’t know if it was free or for sale... AH BASTA MAGULO isip namin hahaha yeaaaah looking back we should have at least tried BUT yun nga, it was really too damn hot to walk around talaga. Maybe next time!! (next time talaga?!)
Kill time! We just randomly sat anywhere we could #ifItfitswesits
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At some points, we could hear the sound check so medyo spoilery siya (we heard Jinwoo’s solo performance HAHA) at the same time we were like OMG 0_0
---
FINALLY TIME TO ENTER!
Tumblr media
Our seats were 2F (as in second floor). We were initially planning to aim for 1F but giiiiiirl waley. 2F wasn’t that bad! Ang nasa isip ko MOA Arena levels where it’s too high up. This was okay (as if may choice kami HAHA). 1F would be the best seats talaga. Standing is a gamble because there’s a chance you won’t be able to see anything BUT the interactions that WINNER made with the standing group was really worth it :))))) WATCH THE FANCAMS IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT I MEAN
I tried to use MIXLR for the first time pala, since I wanted to kinda pay it forward. The first time I “experienced” a WINNER concert was through Cami’s Fukuoka?? mixlr concert and back then I thought, it’s amazing that someone would really try to share this experience with us that can’t make it to the concert.
(Now that I’m replaying my mixlr, I AM SORRY FOR THE THOUSAND OMGs I SAID =)))) I swear I’m more coherent than that--except when you know, Mino was body rolling live, Hoony was lifting his shirt to reveal his perfect 6-pack abs, Jinwoo with his ethereal voice and stage presence, and Yoon’s powerful vocals and performance. Wala na talaga ako masabi kung hindi OH MY GOD =)))) So I’m not sure if I’ll ever mixlr again hahaha kasi marami naman who does it and is more pro about it??? let’s see :)))
Here are some notable thoughts I remember from the concert (sorry more Tagalog here because all the feels)
1. ANG GWAPO NILANG LAHAT. I mean, fo sure I didn’t stan them for visuals (promise talaga! It was really about the music. Sawain ako sa visuals actually) BUT hooooshit. They are different irl. I’ve seen them before in NAIA airport for like.... 10 seconds and like I knew they were really good-looking. BUT ON STAGE. IN FULL PERFORMANCE GLORY. THEIR VISUALS ARE INSANE.
youtube
Tumblr media
2. SOLO STAGES. WHERE TO BEGIN. I didn’t know I’d see Mino perform Body live ever (I thought he had retired the song and I’ve accepted it) BUT GOOD LORD. The “mashup” for Body and TOTL was just made to be together. The stage and performance was oozing with sexiness and charisma and my mind was just a puddle at this point. Mino doesn’t do full-on sexy very often (am I right? It’s like between deliberate sexy and swag, he’d go for more swag) so when he did this... live... the body rolling... the kinda grinding.... we died.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. JINWOO. Jusko. Where to start with Jinwoo. I’m rewatching our fancam of his Untitled 2014 performance and it’s the only one who made me feel goosebumps. Especially the part where he went up the stairs and the spotlight was on him, and he was singing so passionately and the audience was just in complete awe. IT WAS A MAGICAL MOMENT I CAN’T EXPLAIN. It’s like as he walked up the stairs and sang, it was like he was taking his rightful place as a superstar. Jinwoo is not even my bias but I super kaduper want him to succeed and become more confident with this abilities (I am speaking from someone who watched Who is Next haha). After his solo stage, my immediate first thought was: JINWOO IS READY TO HAVE A SOLO ALBUM.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. YOON’S SOLO STAGE. Lol I cried. Ever since I’ve heard It Rains (his solo song), I’ve wanted to hear it live, but I didn’t expect that he’d sing it ever again--maybe he’d sing Wild and Young but not It Rains. The arrangement was “simple” but the experience was HOLY. As in, it was like angels were singing. His clear and strong voice filled the whole arena. The adlibs he did were insane. Literally it was like going to church. The lights and the background visuals were stunning. Sobrang full on drama / rocker Yoon mode! It is something to behold live. Also... INSTINCTIVELY. I also never thought I’d see Yoon perform with a guitar ever again. (Ang drama?? never talaga?? hahaha but I never know with Yoon kasi! He’s so experimental with genres that when he’s already done something already, it might take a long time for him to comeback [in this case, to his rocker roots]). When he took off his blazer... BAKLA SIGAW TALAGA AKOOOOooooo =)))) Looking at him perform like this, I can’t believe he didn’t go solo. I know he’s happier with a group (and I am thankful) but his presence as a solo artist is still very much there. I hope Yoon can release his solo album soon because Liz and I will definitely fly again to Korea when that happens!!! :)
Tumblr media
>>>[OPEN FOR A SURPRISE]<<<
Grabe thissss pic.twitter.com/AvxeuT4Xoh
5. HOON. How so even begin writing about Deputy Lee’s stage. He performed Ringa Linga (modified with Hoon’s rap which was a cool touch I think) and Serenade (EVERYONE’S WAITING FOR THIS). I don’t know where haters get the idea that Hoon can’t dance. Like... are you guys BLIND?!?!? He’s one of the most naturally gifted dancers I’ve ever seen--because he dances to feeling**, not with just choreo. Ringa Linga was a perfect choice for him because he was able to showcase his vocals, dancing prowess and abs all at the same time. The dance breaks were insane. AND MY GOD, Hoon’s body is perfection. His arms, torso, legs... ART.
6. The costumes, lights (LIGHTS), pyrotechnics, over-all stage design was just A++++. I don’t know why I thought it was going to be a much simpler stage but they really went all-in with everything.
Tumblr media
7. The nebula ocean was beautiful. I keep saying in the mixlr... “I’ve never seen so many Inner Circles in my entire life” because it’s true! For some reason there is a notion that we are a small fandom and maybe that’s true compared to others... but we are not less powerful. At least 99% of seats were taken, the standing was packed. Everyone was doing the fanchants. Almost everyone had the lightstick. It was humbling and inspiring to see all the fans who love WINNER come together in one venue, screaming their voices out and singing to the songs (while still being respectful and attentive to each stage performance).
4winner 4ever 💙💙💙💙#WINNEREverywhereTourInSeoul pic.twitter.com/dKXYst03v4
8. The boys really love each other. As in, you can feel their chemistry and their teamwork onstage. Of course, I don’t understand the ments while it was going on (by now I’ve seen the translated fancams of course) but I can definitely tell from their body language and the way they regard each other that they are brothers. And they were just so happy! Running to and from the stage, taking fan’s phones, they were on FULL-ON fanservice. I could feel the love from where I was sitting.
Tumblr media
9. I want to pick my favorite stages but I don’t know how. It was surreal to shout “Neol johahae!” for REALLY REALLY and answer Hoon’s pizza pasta so so with “YUM YUM!” =))))) Sobrang surreal na nangyayari siya sa harapan ko at hindi sa Youtube (with subtitles). Love Me Love Me stage was super cute, Moviestar was tear-inducing. Speaking of Movie Star, the fan event was so funny! They were really surprised because it happened right smack in the middle (usually it happens at the end, but they were expecting it kasi). All four of them were very confused and I feel like they really didn’t see the video as much because they were busy being... confused with what was happening. But when they understood they look like they were touched and slightly cross that we were able to fool them HAHA.
Also:
MINYOON MINYOON MINYOON
10. There were many cute moments of ICs that I witnessed. Like, before the concert started, they were playing WINNER songs on the screen. Then suddenly, Body was played. Inner Circles all screamed =))) BASTA SOBRANG FUNNY. During Mino’s kissing scene, half of ICs were turned on, half were saying “Nooooo” =))) Then during encore, we were supposed to sing We Were (as in the whole song). When it was already the second stanza, the singing became softer and softer, because it was apparent that ICs haven’t memorized the lyrics. Everyone laughed hard. IT WAS SOOOOOO CUTE T_T
BONUS:
After the concert, we kinda rushed to the back exit to wait for WINNER. Lol it took more than an hour for them to come out (of course lots of picture-taking, maybe even speeches for the team, etc etc). We saw Yang Hyun Suk (ICs began to chant his name too #insidejokefromtheconcert and sure ako labas sa ilong yun hahaha), PO, Jinwoo’s dad, Yoon’s mom, most of the dancers (Gahee my love were you there) to name a few.
Again, it was a tender moment because the van was supposed to “cover” their exit from the door, but the fans cried “Noooo” and begged security to let us see them :)) So after a few minutes, the van adjusted its position, so WINNER could walk out and wave to the crowd outside. They looked very very very happy and thankful to see us. <3
---
Tumblr media
We met with some of the PH-ICs again to talk about the concert IN TAGALOG PARA TODO YUNG FEELS :))) I can’t wait to see everyone again in November!
---
Aaaaand by 12 am we were back in our hotel after getting lost in Dongmyo exit HAHA. Can’t blame us, all our braincells were left in the Olympic Park Stadium :)) It was really a memorable experience that we hope we can repeat for sure on November (WHICH IS MY BIRTHDAY MONTH). Aiming for nearer seats this time, but let’s see what the universe will give us.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I thought if I finally see WINNER live I’d be finally scratching an itch--like I’ve already see them live and that’s that. But NOOOOOooooooOOOOOooo. It’s completely the opposite. Now YouTube and mixlrs are not enough anymore T_T When you’ve seen them live... you just want to repeat the experience over and over again.
To all Inner Circles still reading up to this point: CONGRATS and THANK YOU:))
Also, my god. You can forget everything you’ve read up to this point but just remember this.
SEE
THEM
LIVE.
See them live.
I am not kidding around. You should, at least once in your life. Even if it’s just General Admission ticket or the farthest seat***. It’s different when you are in the same venue and you see them performing LIVE right in front of your very eyes. In my opinion, Yoon’s voice is 10x better live---recording absolutely does not do him justice. Same with the Mino, Jinwoo and Hoon. Their vocals, dance skills, over-all charisma cannot be simply captured by the camera. YOU HAVE TO SEE THEM LIVE TO KNOW WHAT I MEAN, WHY I’M SO ADAMANT ABOUT THIS :)))) I’ve seen performers that are exactly the same live as they are in YouTube or sound the same like Spotify but I can say with complete confidence: not WINNER. I can say their true strength is live performance.
I’m sure I’ve missed a lot but this is becoming a research-paper already HAHA so I’d end it here. SO glad we pushed for this trip, so blessed that everything worked in our favor (we were the last flight out before the NAIA airport incident happened huhu) and we’re already looking forward to November in MNL****! :)
till then bye~
P.S. If you want to chika more or need me to translate the Filipino bits lol just hit me up on teh Ask :)
*we saw at least 2 big Yoon masternims that we avidly follow talaga, 2 european ics we follow (lol “european” what is dead giveaway lol) and 1 of the 3 japanese KSY fans we also like HAHA so cute T_T
** I’m not a dancer, but my boyfriend is, and I remember him saying that personally he has more respect for dancers who dance according to what he feels--because it’s one of the highest forms of expression (as opposed to just relying with choreo). It’s a testament to a dancer’s ability that he/she is able to catch the beat without “thinking” about it too much--so the dance becomes the story of the dancer, not the choreo. LOL I think I’m botching his explanation about it but it’s just I remember Hoon whenever my boyfriend and I talk about freestyle dance.
*** Of course it you can’t make it due to various reasons that’s okay, but if you have a chance to make it happen, don’t hesitate. I’d say it’s worth every penny you’d spend to see them live.

PULP Live World is once again bringing WINNER in Manila
Tumblr media
The paths of WINNER and their Filipino Inner Circles will intersect once again as the quartet shines a light on their return to the Manila stage this January!
There is no better way to kick off another explosive year for K-Pop than greeting YOON, JINU, HOONY, and MINO with millions of smiles and a whole lot of love for their much-anticipated return to the Philippines. PULP Live World proudly presents another hype-filled night with WINNER [CROSS] TOUR IN MANILA, happening on January 25, 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Recently, the group stormed the K-Pop scene anew through their grand return, giving fans their third mini-album Cross. Featuring a loaded list of new bops including the track “So So” as well as solo songs from members Hoony and Yoon, the anticipation for the group’s upcoming release was definitely set to a high bar, especially as their last comeback with the second mini-album WE had been more than a huge success.
“Ah Yeah” obtained an “All Kill” status on eight Korean music charts, all while topping iTunes Album Charts on 19 regions all around the world upon its release. Seeing WINNER achieve these feats is everything we expected and more from the group. They have been constantly and consistently churning out hit after hit since their debut in 2014, which granted them a total of six Best New Artist awards and marked a solid kick-start to their career.
The quartet last met with their Filipino fans in November 2018 with their Everywhere tour. Not only did they greet their PH Inner Circles with the various astounding performances they prepared; they also made tons of beautiful memories to cherish forever as they endowed fans with hilarious skits, touching messages, a lot of “Salamat” and “Mahal kita,” and of course, a promise to come back to the “City of Love, City of Music, City of Pleasure” as Mino himself said.
On January 25, 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena, shout “Ah Yeah!” along with the crowd of Inner Circles while bopping along to the quartet’s energetic hits at WINNER [CROSS] TOUR IN MANILA, presented by YG Entertainment, Live Nation Korea, and PULP Live World.
Tickets will be available through SM Tickets outlets nationwide and online (www.smtickets.com).
Seat plan and ticket prices, as well as its selling date, will be released soon. Just follow PULP Live World on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You may also visit www.pulp.ph for further show details.

You can probably read this without knowing the books/movies, but it's helpful if you look up the basics if you're confused. There will be blood, violence, and injury throughout, but nothing more graphic than the books/movies.
Thank you so, so much to Writ for supporting this idea and helping me with it, and FaceTiming me to scream with your reaction. I love you <3
I really hope you enjoy, and please leave feedback if you like!
Read on AO3.
The blood is everywhere.
It stains the grass, trickles down Rosé’s pants, burns in her nose. It’s sticky on the side of her face. It pours from the fresh gash across her shoulder. It’s caked under her nails. It soaks the bodies on the ground.
The bodies.
One is still clinging to life, wheezing through the hole in his chest.
Rosé made that hole.
Rosé waits, not releasing her blood-soaked grip on her blood-soaked sword, until he gives one last wheeze and the cannon goes off, announcing her as winner of the 59th Hunger Games--
“Rosie, wake up. You’re having a nightmare again.”
Rosé shoots upright in bed, soaked with new sweat and old blood.
“It’s just us here. You’re safe.”
It’s her sisters in front of her, just her sisters. No bodies. No blood. No sword in her clenched fist. She sucks in a deep breath as her sisters watch in worry.
Rosé’s the only one who officially lives in the Victor’s Village house, but more often than not, Jan or Lagoona or both will come over for dinner and occasionally stay the night with her. She knows it’s mostly because they love her and want to, but it’s partly so they can make sure she eats and sleeps. She was the one who taught them to braid hair and jump rope, who used to check for monsters under their beds, and now they have to watch her eat and put her to bed and tug her out of nightmares. But Rosé doesn’t even care, because she loves her sisters more than anything and it feels so normal to have them around. She’s able to laugh and smile and forget, and she just pretends not to see the concerned looks her sisters exchange on her behalf.
They both stayed tonight, because they know what tomorrow is.
Rosé nods as she comes back to herself, holding back the apology on her lips because she knows they’ll just brush it off.
“Are you okay to go back to sleep?” Jan asks.
Rosé shrugs. If she looks at her hands too long, blood stains appear, but that’s not something she wants to worry them about. She hates still having the dreams, clear as if they happened an hour ago, not sixteen years ago. Plus it’s almost four, and she needs to be up in a few hours anyway--
“Let’s make cookies,” Lagoona says, coming to the same conclusion.
It’s what they did as kids, helping their parents with the bakery after school and on weekends. They’d line up at the counter, and Rosé would cream the butter and sugar, Lagoona would add the rest of the ingredients, and Jan would scoop the dough on the baking trays. Their mom always says there’s nothing a cookie can’t solve, and maybe that’s true of failed tests and middle school heartaches.
It’s a little harder when you had to kill people to stay alive.
Rosé tries, goes through the motions with her sisters, grateful that she has them. Wishing she could be better for them. She tries to hold herself together with sugar and butter, erase the blood on her hands by replacing it with melted chocolate. She’s calmer by the end at least, the tightness in her jaw loosened.
She notices that the lights are on in the house across the path. There’s only one other occupant in the Victor’s Village, and she’s not sleeping either.
---
Denali has long been awake when Reaping Day comes. She’s always up early to go for her morning run. She doesn’t need to run for her life anymore, but she runs from the memories just the same. It’s a normal thing to do, like when she used to wake up early every morning and hunt, and she likes convincing herself she’s normal.
Normal people don’t sleep with a knife in their hand and a bow at their feet.
Running. Always running.
She wishes she didn’t have to come back from her run today. The reaping starts in a few hours, and she’ll be paraded across the stage, one of two victors for the district. And then she’ll get assigned some poor kids she’s supposed to mentor, and no matter what tips she gives, what favors she tries to get from rich sponsors, it won’t be enough. Those kids will never come home. Not like Denali did.
Her right knee is screaming when she stumbles in the door. She’s gone too far on it today. It had been mangled in the final fight in her Games--dislocated, muscles torn, bones shattered. The doctors fixed it up enough for her to walk painlessly, but her punishing runs are sometimes too much for it.
She makes breakfast but can’t bring herself to eat it. She never ate on Reaping Days as a kid, worrying that if the impossible happened and her name got called, she would puke in front of the whole crowd, which in her teenage mind was as bad as getting called. And then she was seventeen and the impossible did happen, and instead of being free from this once she passed eighteen, the Capitol’s rules of her serving as mentor meant she’d never really be free of the Games. Not even winning them had been enough to escape.
Donut yips at the door, and Denali realizes someone’s knocking. She pets her dog--she always wanted one as a kid, and it’s another attempt at normalcy--and opens the door to see Kandy and Kahmora on the other side.
“We’re here to cheer you up before today’s shit show,” Kandy says bluntly.
Denali manages a smile. She doesn’t see her friends very often--they’re busy with work, and her house and whole life are so dull she doesn’t blame them for not wanting to spend time here--but they always make it a point to visit on Reaping Day, and Denali is so used to the loneliness that it’s both nice and strange to have friends over. They’re the sole reason Denali has extra coffee mugs, which collect dust in the cupboard 364 days of the year.
“What do you think Manila will wear this year?” Kahmora asks, her way of avoiding the unavoidable.
Denali wouldn’t mind if she brought up the Games outright. She’s become something of an expert in them, rewatching old footage over and over, looking to lessen the Games’ power on her, or give her something that would help a tribute. If you know every second of every Games, if you’re prepared for anything, then you can’t get hurt.
“It can’t be worse than that pink coat from last year,” Kandy says.
“At least you’re not dressing her,” Denali says. It’s the first joke she’s made in months, and her laugh sounds hollow. Fake.
But they both laugh, continuing to talk about what Manila will wear to pick tribute names, and Denali can pretend she’s normal, even if normal people don’t have their back to the wall and eye on the door, ready to run if needed.
It’s fine.
She’s fine.
The reaping will be over soon, and in a few weeks, the Games should be over. And maybe, just maybe, she’ll be lucky enough to succeed and bring a kid home this year.
---
The doorbell rings minutes after Jan and Lagoona leave, and Rosé knows the time is officially here.
Denali gets her every year and they walk to the reaping together. It’s nice, not having to do it alone. Almost like having a friend, though Rosé doesn’t actually know what to call their relationship.
Denali was best friends with Jan, and Rosé remembers her climbing trees and making jokes, practically another sister to Jan. Hell, Denali was practically another little sister to Rosé. She could remember helping Jan and Denali with their math homework and teaching them to weave friendship bracelets. Rosé didn’t see her much after she got back from her Victory Tour--but then again, she didn’t see anyone much after that, didn’t really leave her room. And then five years passed and suddenly she had to mentor a seventeen-year-old Denali who was so much stronger and fiercer than the kid Rosé remembered, determined to be the best and win the Games. Rosé knew Denali could win, and did what she could to make it happen, giving tips and begging sponsors, and Denali came home. Their district hasn’t had a winner since.
“At least the weather’s nice,” Denali says as they head into town.
“Yeah.”
The weather. Rosé had helped Denali learn fractions so she didn’t tear her notebook out of frustration, had helped her perfect her grip on a knife, had included notes of encouragement with Denali’s parachutes in the Games, and they’re talking about the weather. It’s like this every year, every time they have to mentor, the bare minimum of small talk and work talk. It’s like their past is so fragile they’re afraid to bring it up, that even the slightest mention of what they share will shatter the glass, and the images of them inside it.
The Games are the biggest thing that unite them, an experience and horror they share. But the topic is an ocean between them, one they hesitate to stick their toe in with each other, one they have their own ways of dealing with. Denali thrashes through the ocean; Rosé sees her go for a run every morning, and then walk her dog later, and then do yoga after that, careful activities that let her stay above the tide, fighting the forces that want to pull her under. Rosé just lets herself drift in the waves while trying to avoid that she’s in the water at all, and hopes she has enough air not to drown when the water swells.
“Your--your hair looks nice,” Rosé says. Whatever pointless things they talk about, she’s always nice to Denali, still has it in her to do that much. And her hair really does look nice, twisting down her back in a long braid.
“Thanks.” Denali’s cheeks flush pink. “Yours does too.”
“Jan did it for me.” She touches her waves self-consciously. It’s been a while since her hair’s been this nice, and she kind of likes it. She’d do it more often, but what’s the point when she sits at home all day?
“She was always good at hair stuff. She used to do all these braids for me at school when we were bored.” Denali stops suddenly, biting her lip like she knows she’s upset the balance, bringing up anything besides the safety of the weather.
“Yeah, well, I taught her how to do them in the first place,” Rosé says lightly, not wanting Denali to worry she’s done something wrong. She hasn’t, really; she hasn’t directly brought up the Games, at least. And it’s not like Rosé has ownership of mentioning Jan, not when she and Denali were so close and still see each other from time to time.
Denali smiles, and they talk about weather for the rest of the walk.
---
The stage is set, the dry grass ready to be trod on by the anxious steps of teenagers. Manila is poised at the microphone, warming up her throat. Her feathery yellow dress is blinding, as is the smile she flashes when Denali and Rosé reach the stage.
“That dress should come with a warning,” Rosé mutters, and Denali snorts. Rosé’s been a little more talkative this morning, even if everything comes out through clenched teeth, and Denali welcomes it.
“Our two lovely victors!” Manila says cheerfully, shaking both their hands.
“The only victors,” Denali says dryly, but Manila still laughs like it’s the funniest thing she’s ever heard.
“Yes, well, lovely victors just the same. Take a seat. The crowd will arrive soon.” She ushers them into the plain black chairs they sit in year after year, watching terrified kids trickle in.
The twelve-year-olds come first, and they look so young. Denali thinks they look younger every year. They struggle to stay in a straight line, tripping over uneven grass and bumping into each other, the fear radiating off them.
She risks a peek at Rosé. Her fists are clenched so tight her knuckles are white, and she keeps her eyes on the stage floor, like she can’t bear to look at the kids.
Denali remembers being in their shoes, standing on the same grass. Sometimes she remembers her first reaping clearer than the one when she got picked. Everything was a blur after her name got called, and watching the footage of that day is like watching a movie of someone else, because she doesn’t remember walking up to the stage. Doesn’t remember any of it.
But her first reaping exists in perfect clarity.
Denali holds her breath as Manila reads the slip of paper clutched in her neon orange nails. She’s only feet away from the stage, and it feels like Manila can see through her, like she knows she’s reading Denali’s name and knows exactly where to find her.
But Manila doesn’t read Denali’s name.
She reads her best friend’s name instead.
The whole row of kids gasps, like they can’t believe the reaping came so close to them--came to their very row--but is leaving them untouched. Kids are already giving Jan a wide berth, like they don’t want her bad luck to pass to them. In the back of her mind, Denali wonders if she should worry about that too. But she won’t leave her friend.
Jan is frozen in place at Denali’s side, tears silently streaming down her cheeks. Denali doesn’t even think she’s breathing. The purple bow in her hair is crooked, which she would never allow, and Denali knows things are bad.
Denali wants to tell her it’s okay, wants to help her, but how can she? Everyone knows a twelve-year-old tribute is as good as dead, and Denali doesn’t know if she can pretend otherwise.
“Jan…“ Denali tries.
Jan cuts her off with a sudden breath, nodding to herself and preparing to move. But before Jan can take a step, someone sprints to the stage in a blur of red hair.
“I volunteer,” the redhead says breathlessly. “I volunteer as tribute.”
The crowd erupts into whispers, but all Denali hears is Jan scream as she recognizes the volunteer.
Rosé McCorkell. Jan’s older sister.
Jan lurches toward her sister, trembling so hard that Rosé grabs her waist to keep her upright.
“No, no, Rosie, please!” Jan is sobbing, her face a mess of tears, fighting to break her sister’s grip.
“Jan, it’s okay. It’s okay,” Rosé says softly, though Denali can see her legs quiver for a second. “I’ll come home, I promise. I love you.” Rosé rubs Jan’s back, soothing her as she cries, and though it almost feels too personal for Denali to witness this, she can’t look away from the firm set of Rosé’s jaw, the determination on her face.
Rosé fixes the bow in Jan’s hair, kisses the top of her head, and walks up to the stage.
Manila’s voice, unchanged even after all these years, pulls her into the present.
“Now since this is the Quarter Quell,” Manila begins, “things will be a little different this year.”
Something tugs in Denali’s stomach, her heart picking up speed, all her senses on high alert. The Quarter Quell is always something different; maybe double the tributes, or half of them. But the uncertainty is bad enough, straying from the careful routine Denali expected. Something’s not right; her body senses danger. But her body is always sensing danger. Maybe she’s just being paranoid.
“To honor the Games’ history and glory, this year’s tributes will be chosen from each district’s living victors.”
Rosé’s sharp intake of breath tells Denali she’s figured it out. When Denali realizes, she doesn’t breathe. She doesn’t move. She’s seventeen again, hearing her name at the reaping, the words repeating over and over as she walked numbly to the stage.
Two tributes for each district.
Two tributes from each district’s living victors.
Their district only has two living victors.
For all the rewatching Denali’s done, all the times tracing every twist and turn of the Games, she never prepared for this. Already, her legs are burning with the urge to run like she did in the arena, running from the enemy with a constant look over her shoulder. She can’t run from this. She couldn’t as a teenager and she can’t now, when the Capitol could kill her for it.
Though she might not survive anyway.
It’s too much for her mind to process. The world becomes a formless blob and all she can hear is her heart pounding in her ears. Pounding not only in fear, but anger, anger for her and all the victors. Anger at a system that praised them for winning and said they’d have peace afterward, but never really let them be free from the Games. They did their time. They survived the Games, emerging covered in blood and sweat and tears, scars on their bodies and in their minds. Reliving the Games through mentorship each year is bad enough. How could anyone make them do this again?
Manila is handed the huge glass bowl she always uses, but instead of a mountain of slips, only two pieces of paper lie at the bottom. There’s no escape.
“Our first tribute--”
“What’s the damn point?” Rosé asks, rising from her chair, and honestly, Denali doesn’t know how she’s standing. Rosé’s face is pure white, and she quickly hides her shaking hands behind her back. She has the same look in her eyes as when she volunteered for Jan: the look of an animal who sees the hunter and knows the arrow is coming, but stands their ground anyway, brave and defiant to the end. “It can only be us.”
Manila takes a flustered breath, cheeks flushed even through her thick makeup. “Well, tradition and all--”
Denali rises too, locking her wobbly knees. “Fuck that. Rosé’s right. No sense drawing this out.” Her mom always made her drink cough syrup in one bitter swallow as a kid, and Denali would rather get the misery over with.
Rosé gives a nod of approval, and Denali blushes. Part of her still sees Rosé as Jan’s older sister, as her mentor, someone Denali desperately wanted approval from. But approval or not, she agrees with what Rosé’s doing--taking some power from the Capitol, defying the rules and going into this with their anger known, instead of sitting by and letting a piece of paper and fanfare dictate it for them. If they have to do this again, they’re doing it their way.
Manila clears her throat and takes the microphone again, instantly silencing the crowd. “Well, then. I present your District 12 tributes for the 75th Hunger Games--Rosé McCorkell and Denali Foxx. May the odds be ever in your favor.”
The words wash over her as they did eleven years ago.
Denali’s going back into the arena, and Rosé--her old mentor, her old friend--is coming with her.

🎤 WINNER 2018 Everywhere Tour in Manila Experience
Tumblr media
Guess who’s back?
After 4 years, WINNER is back in Manila to have their first concert! Four years ago, they performed in front of Inner Circles as a guest performer in 2NE1′s All or Nothing Tour in Manila last May 17, 2014 in Mall of Asia Arena.
November 10, 2018. The day every IC or Inner Circle have been waiting for. It was the day seeing the WINNER boys again and hearing them sing their new songs live. The concert was held in the same venue four years ago, in Mall of Asia Arena and started at around 7 in the evening.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While waiting for the concert to start, Inner Circles were already screaming so loud and saying the fanchants along with the songs played. Everyone was so hyped to see WINNER again!
Tumblr media
The whole arena was filled with nebula blue ocean showing more support for the boys. It was a beautiful scene to look and cherish forever. The blue ocean just compliments WINNER as a whole.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lights were out and a video showed up showing the names of the members making the excitement to see WINNER grow bigger and bigger. The 4 appeared and “Empty” was the first song for the night. Next song captivated everyone with “Air.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the two songs, the members greeted Filipino ICs and had a little talk.
Seungyoon: “Manila, Mabuhay! What’s up? This is Yoon! I know you guys have been waiting a lot since it was 2NE1's concert, right? And I can't wait to show our performances and I'm happy about it. Alright, Jinwoo.”
Jinwoo:  “Kamusta kayo? Si Jinwoo ito. Namiss ko kayo. Maganda kayo!“
Mino: “Manila, What’s Up? This is Mino. I’m so excited to meet you guys. Enjoy the show tonight!”
Seunghoon: “Magandang Gabi! Are you all enjoying tonight? Mahal kita!”
Seungyoon: “Wow! What was that? (Referring to SH’s ‘Mahal kita’) “Now our next song, *phone rings.* Who’s that?” “Hello? Hello?”
Tumblr media
Afterwards, “Hello” was sung followed by “Everyday.” Fanchants were getting louder and louder per song. Everyone was enjoying the concert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seungyoon: “Manila, can I drink some water?” “We arrived yesterday and we went to this famous restaurant for lunch.” “Seunghoon, you brought us lunch yesterday.”
Seunghoon: “ JOLLIBEE!!”
Seungyoon: “Yeah, Jollibee. Jollibee was good as always.” “We passed by Manila last time when shooting the season greeting”
Seunghoon: “El Nido!”
Seungyoon: “El Nido, very beautiful, right? That was really a special memory for us.” “I saw a huge shopping mall and ferry near our hotel. In front of your shopping mall, MOA, I saw a signage. I don’t know how to call it, a flag? Banner? So I took a picture and video. It was deeply touching.”
Jinwoo: “Namiss namin kayo.”
SeungYoon: “Namiss namin kayo.”
SeungHoon: “Namiss namin kayo.”
SeungYoon: “Thanks to you we’re gonna have another special memory. Thank you and now, for our next song. You guys ready? Are you ready for our next song?”
Then a VCR showing the faces of the boys then at the end shows, “I’m not okay.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Afterwards, Mino was on the stage performing for his solo. He sang “Body,” and “Turn Off The Lights.” Both performances were very intense that made everyone just jumped and screamed on top of their lungs, including me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jinwoo’s solo stage was calming, toning down that hyper feeling and adrenaline rush from Mino’s performance. He sang G-Dragon’s “Untitled, 2014.” That made everyone deeply touched how soothing his voice was as if he’s singing you a lullaby. Als o, at the same time, everyone was just emotional since everyone misses BIGBANG already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The songs “It Rains,” “I Like Me Better,” and “Instinctively” were performed by Seungyoon. His voice was just so wonderful and unique that will really direct your attention only to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seunghoon’s solo stage was up and he performed “Serenade,” and Taeyang’s “Ringa Linga.” With this solo stage, everyone’s energy was up again especially on Ringa Linga. Seunghoon’s moves were just… overwhelming. He gave the energy that made everyone jump up and down on our seats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I remembered after the song “We Were”, they were talking about the individual performances earlier. That Mino’s stage was a “hot performance” and with Jinwoo’s performance remind them of G-Dragon. Jinwoo also mentioned that he misses GD. Seunghoon and Mino were teasing Seungyoon on how he sings and even copied him!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next songs that they performed were “For,” “Raining,” and “Movie Star.”
Lights were out and WINNER was back once again with a different outfit.
Seungyoon asked about Seunghoon’s solo. Everyone just screamed which tells everyone really liked his solo stage.
Tumblr media
They performed the song, “Immature.”
Seungyoon: “We need some love. Your love!”
Seunghoon: “Mahal ko kayo” (In a very cute way)
Mino: “Namiss niyo kami? Namiss namin kayo.”
Seungyoon: “Everybody say something..”
Jinwoo: “Sigaw!”
Seungyoon: “Make some noise”
Jinwoo: “Sigaw!”
Seungyoon: “Sigaw! Okay Manila, sigaw!” “We are ready, are you ready? Love me love me, let’s go!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then “Love Me, Love Me” was on which was followed by the song, “Special Night.”
Tumblr media
SeungYoon: “It’s about time to wrap up the show, sadly. Your voices are still okay, right?” (Everyone screams) Manila, your voices are still okay, right? (Everyone screams louder!)
Let’s tests your voices.
Manila, 1st floor, make some noooise!
And then Manila, 2nd floor. (2nd floor IC screams)
Not yet not yet…
Now, make some noise! (screams louder)
Manila, 3rd floor, make some noise!
Everyone, make some noise!
Wow, that! Your voices are still okay and you all ready to go to the Island? For real? Okay!”
I think I felt like my ears were going to burst from all those loud screaming and I blame you SeungYoon for it. I felt the whole arena shaking because of it. 😂
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Island,” and “Really Really” were the next songs that they performed.
Afterwards, everyone was chanting, “La La La!” in the tune of “La La.”
WINNER: “Everyone sing! Sing it La la! La la la.. Again, La la la la, sing it looud!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“La La” was performed, lights went out and the boys were off stage. A VCR of Dara was showed talking about WINNER on performing last time as guest for 2NE1’s concert and how she’s proud of them.
Tumblr media
Afterwards, lights were just off and the arena was dark. Inner Circles were preparing for the fan project. Everyone’s turning on their phone lights and started singing the chorus for “Movie Star.” I think we’ve been singing it for like 8-10 minutes straight, all for WINNER! 😂
Tumblr media
Lights were turned on and WINNER was back on stage for the encore! They sang “Don’t Flirt,” “Luxury,” and “Really Really” for the encore.
Seungyoon was thankful for the banner which has “Inseos, the shelter that embraces WINNER everyday” which was written in Korean. Mino even made a rap out of what was written on the banner, which was really really gooood! 💙
WINNER also took a group photo with the whole arena with banners raised. Afterwards, Inner Circles started to chant: “WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!”
Then Mino went off stage to get his “new toy” according to Seungyoon and it was a new camera to take a photo with ICs!
Seungyoon: “So touched my heart. So touching!”
Inner Circles: “Iiyak na yan! Iiyak na yan” (Cry! Cry!)
WINNER: ?!?!?!????
Seunghoon: “ohh cry!”
Seungyoon: “How was today?”
Seunghoon: “It was great to see you again. With all the energy you give us, we will do our best see you again. Salamat po! Mahal kita!”
Mino: ”SIGAW KAYO LAHAT! Thank you for the great show tonight. City of love! City of music! I will go back! Manila, one more time. sigaw kayo lahat!”
Seungyoon: “A singer cannot exist without the listener. If you weren’t waiting for our music, we weren’t be doing this far. I hope today will be your happiest day. We will have our new album soon! I love you guys! We will never forget this.”
Jinwoo: “Maraming salamat sa inyo! Masaya ako kasi kasama kayo dito. Supportahan niyo kaming apat.  Abangan niyo kami ulit. Mahal ko kayo. Kita tayo ulit! I love you. Hanggang sa muli!”
And they sang their final song, which was “Everyday.”
Seungyoon: “Thank you! Thank you! We are happy when you see your beautiful faces. Today, we saw your beautiful smiles. Today is our happiest moment! And guys, make some noise for our staff!! “Thank you for making a special day!”
Tumblr media
Lacking photos and videos from the Encore of WINNER since I just went to the moment and enjoyed watching WINNER perform live.

Another treasured concert memory for me. My feels for WINNER were literally “everywhere.” Going to another concert makes me happy and fulfilled. WINNER really did a great job on their concert that captivated every ICs heart. I’m looking forward for their comeback and new songs!
