Fun for fanfic and all. But in no reality, Max irl would ever think of that Martin post. It has been 8 hours, almost half the drivers on the grid posted about him. Pierre fucking gasly did it, of all people! And we are to think Max is tossing and turning in his sleep over Daniel? No, you know where he is? He is bloody streaming. Yeah, when his organisation is nailing the final nails to Daniel’s legacy (after they have done the same to Daniel’s career) all he had to offer was a comment on daniel’s post. Daniel was good for him as long as he picked up that one point that his shitty teammate couldn’t do. Max, like the rest of red bull, will think of Daniel as a footnote for their “bigger picture”.

Listen. This is not going to be an eloquent response but here goes. I get that you’re upset but this take…it ain’t it, bud.

The absolute last person I’m worried about having Daniel’s back in this or any situation is Max Verstappen. Max has been a genuine friend to Daniel from the beginning and equating his social media engagement or him living his life (?) to his level of love or respect for Daniel as a person and a driver is shortsighted and incredibly unfair.

Max was THE only person in the RedBull “family” over the weekend supporting Daniel during what was clearly a mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting weekend. We heard and saw proof of that on multiple occasions.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, take Daniel’s. He said many times in multiple interviews after the race on Sunday (and before) what max has done for him and meant to him over the years.

Most of all I think it’s important to remember that just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. The most meaningful interactions are not broadcast for the entire internet to see and consume because quiet frankly that’s not the fucking point.

The real victims isn’t Verstappenor RBR (well, yes but not too much) but the artisans who made the trophy!

People don’t understand how painful it is for these people and how far longer (and sometimes dangerous because of many injuries) time they take to make these pieces of art hoping for it to be treated and appreciated for years, decades and more.

Edit: I am not sure if the people in the comments are serious or not but I do not believe he should be cancelled for it. I just meant that I feel particularly bad for the artisans who watched their trophy get broken before it was held for more than 5 seconds. Norris didn’t (I assume) do it on purpose, he should properly apologize to them(the artisans) and Verstappen. I don’t know if he already did or if he will. But these things happen, he shouldn’t be condemned to life for it.

If the comments are sarcastic, I repeat that I just meant to highlight how the artisans might feel regardless with the intent ( although IF done on purpose, it’s worse because there is also a lack of respect).

We can feel bad for it without trying to try to make the discussion a legal battle. It’s not “nothing” but it also isn’t exactly “everything”. The artisans were well paid (I like to assume) so I guess it’s better than those old web-famous cases of when it was all financed by them and a clumsy interviewer broke it in a second. Being paid for it doesn’t mean that they don’t care though.

If you don’t understand the concept (aka if you lack empathy, it’s not even about social class, everyone slightly enough educated understands, some people are shallow regardless of they upbringings and current status) maybe you would if I put it that way: Mechanics who make a car or motorcycle and a driver or rider who is far too imprudent with it taking it for granted. For example, about 2 years ago the MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales was damaging the moto and being disrespectful during his test rides(the way he was riding unit) and not only he received public backlash but he also got suspended by the team. Just because it can paid for, it shouldn’t be be disrespected. F1 drivers when they make errors give their excuses to the whole team for a reason, the team members stay there all day for about 3 whole days and money are involved too, less accomplishments, less money for everyone, but they are the most affected ones by this.
